I just realized exactly why I don’t like httyd 3. It ends with the dragons leaving and everyone being happy cause “dragons and humans were just never meant to be”. But throughout the movie it’s not actually shown that the humans are bad to the dragons, or that the dragons want to leave.

In fact, Berk is the best thing to happen to dragons in a while. But the third movie tries to imply that they’ve been keeping the dragons captive, as if they haven’t been fine for years. The dragons can also just leave. A lot of them don’t have riders and can come and go as they please. They do a lot of telling and no showing. The only dragon who’s upset is Toothless and that’s cause he’s out of character

There's this recurring trope where Discord surprises Fluttershy with a magic baby. I don't think she would want to manage a baby and her animals without worrying. So I made an adult next gen. Discord went "Here's our adult son!" and now they don't have to worry about him

Deathgrippers: Anatomy and Diets

I don't believe for a second that Deathgrippers are dragon eaters. While they look tough with their tusks and stinger, I don't think they're as tough as they seem.

At most, they're territorial which makes them good security dragons. But they're not good hunters. Their venom is weak and can only keep a dragon under their control for a short amount of time e.g. the light fury. Once those venomous darts left her skin, she was instantly fine. So their venom seems to be more like a quick stun to get away from other dragons. They're also effected by their own venom, meaning they most likely can't eat their prey after they stun them.

With their armored body and smallish wings, they wouldn't be fast fliers. They'd be too slow to catch something big enough to satisfy their hunger. While they're pack dragons, it seems more like a herd of rhinos or elephants.

Judging by their tusks and their scythe-shaped pincers, I think they're plant eaters. Just like how pandas have sharpish teeth to chew through bamboo. Their pincers are used to cut down larger trees and their tusks to stab through stuff such as bark. And their tusks are retractable, so they only have use during meals.

They spit venom, but not long-range. They use their venom to break down tougher plants, like how flies spit on their food.

I know Grimmel says Deathgrippers are dragon eaters, but I don't trust a word that man says.
