i just wanna shoutout my close friends @strawhatghost and @theallbluesea 4 being super awesome!!!! their writing and art kills me every time, and even though i can see a limited amount of things they create due to not wanting to get hit with spoilers, i go crazy like all the time (ly guys <3 )

Sorry I've been gone, have an au brewing!

Due to @lunisoular's really cool Ghost!ASL au, we talked about a spinoff/branch where the ASL survived the terminal fire and became Revolutionaries alongside Sabo! It's still being developed so take these designs as crumbs as I try to get back into content creation AHSDFJK (I drew Luffy today but I don't know how I feel on that look just yet so thats staying in the drafts for now)

Also don't worry Ace and Luffy still become pirates, they're just in the army for most of their childhood to teen years instead of with the bandits

Time Capsule - a container storing a selection of objects chosen as being typical of the present time, buried for discovery in the future.

One of the biggest things that gets me about this au is the fact Sabo doesn't know his brothers anymore, and he's metaphorically a time capsule to them. He's the exact same he was before he died, he hasn't changed one bit for better and for worse. It's bittersweet, he barely knows his brothers anymore and they barely know the real him to the one they've been remembering all these years. (The memory of a dead love one gets warped sometimes, its human nature. We'll always forget their flaws and little annoying traits to keep them in a good light in our memories...)

Some thing's to note!

The flowers at Sabo's feet are forget me nots, which symbolize remembrance! Blue roses can mean an assortment of things but I went with resilience and uniqueness (a unique and complex situation their in). The birds are dead canaries, because Sabo has always felt like a caged bird. The birds are free but they've died, just like Sabo did when he set out to sea. The flames resemble the fire in his ambition, the fire that made him run away again, and the fire of his ship when he was first shot at.

Inside his chest 'the memories ' a bottle of sake for the brother ceremony, the ASL flag they used to fly, a beaded bracelet I imagined Ace to have as a kid, his infamous pipe, his goggles, the handle of a hunting knife, and pictures of his brothers stacked together!

Im gonna start tweaking.

So about that one au where Sabo actually died but got resurrected after Ace survived Marineford?

The horror of having your brother, who was only three months younger than you when he died, coming back to life twelve years after you've grown and mourned him, unable to recognize your adult self, because he doesn't know you anymore.

Behold! The Print Wall!

(Aka I finally moved into a house, and got free will to decorate my walls!) And now, Whery art is immortalized here forever (or until we move again.) I have like four prints of the ASL hugging in some way, can you tell who my favorite characters are? (Don't mind the fact I have all the ASL as figures.) There was,, a funny mishap where I ordered the winter ASL print and my friend, who wanted to surprise me, ordered the Sabo hug bundle! Both got packaged together and I've been so busy that I didn't have a chance until today to take the prints out, so my friend was stressed for eleven days wondering what happened to the hug bundle. It was me the entire time and I had no clue. It's like a comedy of a series of unfortunate events.

anyhow these prints are amazing and super rad, I totally recommend them if they're ever back in the shop! I also bought an ASL hat sticker but I'm unsure where to put it as of yet...

Luffy can only have one brother at a time in canon, Sabo 'dies' and Ace sticks around, Ace actually dies and then Sabo comes back and sticks around, the three of them can't coexist on the same plane of existence.

Which lead me to make an au where Ace survived Marineford, except Sabo did die as a child.

until he gets resurrected by a devil fruit, much to Ace's horror.

I'm calling it the Time Capsule Au and boy oh boy do I have THOUGHTS and IDEAS for it, might post about it more later teehee

Luffy's design is bugging me I might remake it later... Something about it just doesn't spark joy... 🤔 I made Ace's design on the spot and I LOVE IT holy shit he's such a little guy wtf, I cooked there...

I tried to think of MLP similar names before immediately giving up LMAO (like Cozy Glow for Sabo but that is an actual MLP character, or Sapphire but nothing stuck.)
