It’s kind of only coming to me now on my second playthrough because I’m only finding out that he too has audio logs (I WAS GENUINELY SO CAUGHT OFF GUARD WHEN I SAW HIS ICON AFTER A BREACH, I KIND OF EXPECTED ANOTHER LUCKY QUINN OR MALCOM AUDIO)

(shhhh I’m slow as hell and never put much focus into the side content on my first playthrough because of my lack of understanding of its mechanics for some strange reason)

Like bro straight up knows Aiden like the back of his hand (“Poor girl. But Aiden doesn’t lose control of vehicles.”) He knew that Aiden was vengeful asf when it came to his family (“he’s a vengeful son of a bitch. piss him off, he won’t let you go, you kill his niece, god rest your soul.”)

And that’s exactly what drove Aiden to take the bait and fall into Damien’s trap - going after the person who harassed Nicole, following the signal to trace the source of the caller, leading him back into getting involved with the investigation as to who the second hacker was and what they were looking for thanks to Nicole being kidnapped for

For a guy who never seems to let go of the merlaut job (understandably? Considering the video and also because he was affected by the whole thing) he’s actually smart asf and I seem to forget that he’s more than just ‘petty’, he’s straight up meticulous as hell 💀💀 (Im probably repeating myself but you get the point right?)
