Calculate all your monthly expenses and add them to a google sheet, things to include: rent, food, phone bill, laundry, Misc, Dentist, Takeout, car payments, power and light, and if you have pets add the expenses from that

Start saving! Do the 50: 30:20 rule. -Needs 50%: Food/groceries, bills & utilities, housing & rent, Transportation. -Wants 30: Shopping, dining out, entertainment, travel. -Savings 20: emergency fund, Savings account, retirement fund, investments, debt payment, stocks, crypto

Make a five year plan (find ideas online)

Prepare yourself mentally to live alone

Hi, I'm moving to a new place soon. While I have the help of my mother for some old stuff, and some fixing needs to be done here and there, what Im really lacking are basic stuff like toiletries, cooking utensils, maybe a toolbox for emergencies, etc

I just wanna remind you all that I still need help with moving out with my trans girlfriend.

I need to raise money so me and my girlfriend can move out just in case Housing Commission falls flat (plus it would take housing commission SEVEN PLUS YEARS to actually give us a private housing due to other people waiting in line) and it'll cost us god knows how much for my girlfriend to move to the country.

The money will go towards expenses just as rental price, bond price, food, bills like electric and Wi-Fi as well as money so my girlfriend can save once again to immigrate to Australia.

I also have adoptables open too on my ko-fi if anyone is interested, I can't work because I'm disabled and I'm still trying to get onto NDIS but my mum (who is suppose to be my caretaker) refuse to help + too busy helping my druggy sister and her kids since my older sister (I won't name) doesn't give a flip or refuse to change, even after witnessing her boyfriend being shot to death by some druggies she REFUSE to fucking change for the better and seem to wanna date men that are just as bad as her dead boyfriend..

Like I said, my mum was suppose to help me since she gets a carer's payment due to supposely being my caretaker but she doesn't act like it.. she is lazy when she's at home, lying around all day eating and verbally yelling when she doesn't get what she want!. I'm also trying to save up money behind the scenes, centrelink only gives me 850 but most of that goes to helping my dad out with food, my clothes, internet bills and so on. So I can only pocket about 150 or 300 (if lucky) into my savings account to help save up, please do share this around even if you couldn't help ^^"

the word for moving out and change are the same in brazilian portuguese, which is “mudança”, this is important cause im mid moving out of my parents process - clothes laying around as i type this, super stressed, a bit anxious, wanting to cry, very excited, everything mixed and together.

i walk to my parents, feeling slightly silly cause i still gonna need to leave a bunch of stuff here in their house, i tell them this. my mom rush to reassume me it’s fine, this is always my house (which i know). my dad, who lives in his own head - to the point of being slightly absent even tho he’s very present - anyway, this man looks up and say, “remember, ‘mudança’ is a process, not an event”. this man had no business being this deep, now im crying so much.

Moving out for the first time is so weird honestly.

Like I have finally my own space, I feel like I’m house sitting a strangers home, I live in a hotel forever.

I have finally freedom, I miss my parents, I haven’t spoken to a person for much longer than I’m used to.

So much space for myself but I also used to live scattered around a whole house and now I’m in a flat.

Moving out is just weird.
