#TBT to Sunday when I was hardcore missing the #ConLife and decided to wear my #CaptainMarvel top and do my makeup for a video chat with friends. So this was a fun little thing posted in a group I'm in on Facebook. I didn't count Leatherwork since I'm not sure my faux leather faux corset-like pieces of apparel really count as proper leatherwork. Also didn't count felting even though I've bought the supplies to try it! Fun fact: I've carved soap, but can't recall if I've ever made it. Resin casting is definitely something I'd like to try, honestly life casting too. Truth be told, I just really like trying different things! Learning random techniques or skills and being able to apply them in fun or unique ways to projects is something that I've always done. . #HappyEarthDay! This is the "square-cropped-for-Instagram" version of my "Heart Earth" piece. It is made up of hundreds of hand-folded and varnished origami stars that are all made out of painted newspaper, which are then glued over a template on canvas. I left the apartment for the first time in over a month to go to a routine 3 month check up at my endocrinologist. #WIPWednesday: slideshow of progress shots of a piece I've been working on, on-and-off for a while which is another redux of an old piece, smaller this time. A sort of Art Deco Wonder Woman inspired piece that would have gone on my wall for the Norwescon Art show, but Norwescon got cancelled, so I guess I get to hold onto this and that elf I posted last week a bit longer.🤷 . Anyhow, there's some metallic gold gel pen to be added to help clean up some of my messiness and to finish this piece up the way I'd imagined it. . Made me a color chart/reference sheet the other night for the #TombowDualBrushPens I've recently acquired. I like having a good reference/idea of what the colors look like IRL. I may have to do some weird color mixing charts too so that I know what colors combined look like, instead of winging it...🤷 . Anyway, I just kinda like how this looks. #TBT to Sunday's game of D&D&D: Dungeons and Dragons and Dinosaurs! 🎲🐉🐲🦖🦕 Thanks @druidwithadino for running this incredibly fun one shot for us!💗 . Did I mention that I like to get into character (at least a little) with accessories and makeup for D&D? In this case I was playing a Protector Aasimar Druid named Midori Mako. She likes helping people! Also had to pull out the little Tree Star hair pins (simply used as pin-like accessories) for this adventure that I knew would lead to dinosaurs! Nail wraps (that I forgot to show off that day) are "This Land" from @espionagebeauty. Eyeshadow is the Espionage Cosmetics x Shiro Cosmetics team up palette with a bit of "Double Kill" (old everything shadow from Espionage) for liner. Did I also make a flower crown/halo the night before the game just because? Yes, yes I did.😇🌸👑 Oh, and you can't see it, but I'm also wearing my "What doesn't kill you gives you XP" shirt by @unicornempire . The two pics with dinosaurs (instead of cookies) in them are pulled from my friend, and fellow player, Rusty's FB page since I somehow failed to take any pics with dinosaurs. Note: the triceratops in the bottom right photo is actually my character in her Wild Shape.
