just realized i have two track meets left until post-season :’D

praying i can qualify for masters (i consider them semifinals) and MAYBE state (highly unlikely though) 🙏🏽🙏🏽

god why is junior year so stressful 😭

i hate when guys try to act so nonchalant and stoic when faced with something actually so challenging for them!

ego lifting when it’s your first day in a conditioning class (they proceed to hurt themselves and wonder how that happened),

trying to do extra workouts outside when it’s basically hotter than 100 degrees (F) outside (“oh it’s not that hot outside” brother you are COOKING YOURSELF ALIVE),

then they get SO UPSET whenever they don’t PR at one of their races (for context they want to PR at EVERY MEET, which gets harder as the season goes on), and just bring down the entire morale of the rest of the team. but then they don’t accept any comfort or reassurance and just continue to be miserable and make OTHERS feel miserable.

like i feel so bad because it just seems like they’re trying to show themselves up as being “stronger” or “better” or whatever. they put so much pressure on themselves and try to hide how they really feel and it just makes me sad :(

just something i noticed over the past few months (basically past year, but it wasn’t as bad last year)
