I have said this before but me being self proclaimed number 1 Ryoma fan and that being possibly literal-bc even if this bro had fans before me I might’ve simply done the most for him by talking about him so much + being the first to write fics that are in depth studies on his trauma across canons-I gotta say if there’s one other character I rotate a lot that isn’t him it’s probably Kei. (Shocking it’s not Hayato even if I do think about him too- but it’s usually associated with Ryoma bc gays 🗿)

I’m not even exaggerating when I say Kei would be my favorite and only isn’t because she doesn’t exist in many other canons yet my brain rotates the endless possibilities of how to incorporate her. I’ve already written a fic where she’s in shin vs neo verse which worked surprisingly well but I’ve been thinking how universally she could appear in other things. (Whether it be fitting her into a idea of a possible Go team in New or just a new canon completely) I think what I’ve narrow it down to is that she could be like- in Michirus role? Like she’s the supporting female who isn’t a pilot but helps out the real occasionally which I think would align very well especially with the original manga role she has of being Hayato’s assistant. And even if Hayato isn’t grandpa mode yet he still very much is in Saotomes position at that point. Not sure if she’d Hayato’s biological kid to further parallel Saotome and Michiru given well Hayato already adopts the Go team and his wife is irrelevant LOL.

I have no idea if I’ll ever write this specific idea but I’m still- rotating it cause this is such a easy way to get around “picking between Sho or Kei as the 2nd pilot” since both of them can still exist even if one doesn’t get to pilot, idm my supporting females. (Granted there could always be like- plot line where Sho gets hurt so Kei is temporary pilot but I can’t remember if Getter ever really did this since “once your hurt your ass is basically replaced” lol)

i admire u sm, you don’t even knowww girl. First of all, 4 graduating!!! I fr feel like a proud mum, well done 🎓!!! That’s such a huge accomplishment. Secondly, ur writing & immense attention to detail and plot points- impeccable. Svn is constantly on my mind.

I’m just rambling on ab life here, so I apologise in advance for the waffling below, but basically- my one aspiration in life is to become a singer-songwriter/performer. Ever since I was little, it’s been my dream: on Monday, I sing, on Tuesday, I sing, and on Wednesday, I sing some more- I hold so much passion for singing. In the next 5 years of my life, I want to have recorded a country-pop album alongside a talented producer. I write songs/come up with loose ideas for songs as frequently as possible, and I have both a vocal coach who I’ve been seeing for 5yrs,& additionally, a singing teacher who I’ve just begun lessons with. My VC has been giving me tips on songwriting and stuff, which is brilliant, n I also have some musical theatre singing exams July 6th! 🤞

But in regards to songwriting, I struggle to conjure up differentiating song topics- they’re always the same subjects, which is rlly boring icl! And because of that, the lyrics I write are also incredibly repetitive across the board, as they all speak of the same topics. Now, I THINK I’m making slow progress with my songwriting skills, which is awesome, but I can’t for the life of me come up with song topics that are true and from the heart, as well as differentiating.

SO sorry for rambling on like this ml!! I j needed someone to talk to.

If you have any random pretty words or phrases that might spark some inspo for me, that’d be wonderful, or any general advice- it’d be so so greatly appreciated.

Ahh yes, the artist's block. Writers, Artists, and Performers always experience some kind of blockage that stops us from being great🙄 I'm not sure what advice to offer though, what pulled me out of my slump was realizing that I couldn't be afraid to put myself down on the page.

When I first starting writing, I was inspired by the things I was reading so some of my earlier pieces aren't fully me. But I realized that if I follow in the shadows of others, I'll never have my own. Maybe try getting more in-tune with yourself and who you are as an individual. Don't be afraid to use your personality, life experiences, and quirks in your work! Try to become effortlessly comfortable in your own skin, don't worry about the feedback you'll get after. Try and try again, y'know? You could also try looking at life through the eyes of people around you inspiration (if they're okay with it, of course), get the chance to use your music to tell someone else's story.

As for those random pretty words, OF COURSE?? I love looking through unique names/aesthetic words so I have a couple already scattered throughout my writing docs:

Hiraeth (one of my favs) - a homesickness for a home you cannot return to or that never was.

The flower in their hands is a pink camellia, and I read that they represent the feeling of longing/missing someone in addition to love. In Japan they're also associated with fallen warriors, and I thought that really fit the characters' backstory.

honestly I advise anime wise to watch shin vs neo and new next. I haven’t personally watched the toei show but 74 and G are kinda episodic given they’re more aimed at kid so they aren’t tonally like arma, the other ovas or the manga. Plus they’re longer compared to SVN and new and Idk if you’re okay with long anime but I personally can’t do them lol. (Reason I have not watched a gundam still even though I need too)

But either way I hope you enjoy it wherever and whenever you resume because this whole series is quiet the trip!

New getter brain worms have been so bad and I haven’t even finished a rewatch with my friend or the damn au fic I’m working on but I’m still baffled people said “It LoOkS bAd” and so tempted to do compilation of some of its best chronographic animation even if I’ll be stirring a pot- which I don’t want but man I’m so sick of the art style slander when it has one of the most unique styles I’ve seen in a show. thts fine pls answer whnever! last weekend i came out as trans to my manager by accident, i work night shifts in a department store w a team of only 5 ppl nd tht night i hadnt done laundry so i was wearing a shirt w a trans symbol on it nd i didnt think it wld matter bc normally i clock in and go through the meetings nd briefings in my coat bc the store is cold nd then go to my floor so basicallt no one sees what im wearing but tht night my new manager worked the same floor nd he saw it (1)

and he knew what the symbol was and asked if i was trans and i said yh and told him nd he took it well! he was like oh so you're a boy instead of so u want to be a boy like so many other ppl ive told hv said nd he was cool w using the right pronouns whn i decide to come out nd evrything so i think it went well! but now im struggling w coming out to everyone else and im not sure if i should? like i dont pass at all, my chest is still big even with my binder, im very short and curvy (2)

and i have longish hair which i dont plan on cutting and a very feminine face so idk whether coming out would b a good idea when i know that i dont look like a cis boy. im on the waiting list for an nhs gender clinic so maybe i should wait until i start t and hopefully pass a bit more but that will be like late 2018 and being misgendered at work makes me want to die nd idk if i can wait that long. but if i do come out idk how to do it ive never had to @ work this is my 1st job nd im worried (3)

hi! so unfortunately i don’t have a ton of firsthand advice to offer here, because i’ve never been in this position before. what i do know is that anytime i’ve been in a situation where i get consistently misgendered, it just makes me wanna never be in that situation again. i think being at work is hard enough without having to deal with all of that on top of it, you know? as much trouble as it would be, i think you might be better off coming out--

but ONLY, of course, if you think you’ll be safe doing it. your manager sounds like he’s on your side here, and that’s definitely good, but if you think there’s a chance one of your coworkers could react to it with a more negative reaction than confusion, i would probably stay closeted for the time being.

maybe you could ask your manager to help you with coming out, if you’re afraid of doing it yourself? maybe he could send out like an email or bulletin or something on your behalf. as sad as it is, people tend to take cis people more seriously than they take us about our own gender, so that might be something to consider.

i’m sorry i don’t have more like... specific/better advice to share! he’s busy today and idk if he’d be willing to answer regardless, but my friend oliver @bottommac has also had to deal with coming out at work within the past 6 months or so, so you could try asking him for advice! since he’s actually done that and i never have
