Just a warning for everyone here, a lot of people are migrating from tiktok to here due to the upcoming tiktok ban in the US, which also means that a lot more antis will be joining the platform. Please stay safe and block any antis you see, especially since a lot of tiktok antis have a tendency to be more nasty and don't really have a sense of fandom etiquette to begin with.

Not so random thought, but you know how on booktok someone will make a post saying something like: "your favorite tags/what you read the most are what you desire in a relationship" and then the comments all say "no! Absolutely not!" Why can't that same thought be applied to proshippers?

If you reading about someone getting Stockholm syndrome and staying with their captor doesn't mean you condone it, then why can't that same thought be applied to proshippers?

If you wash all the "reasonings" why they think it's wrong away, all you'll have left is because they think it's "weird". No one is saying you have to like it, no one is saying you have to read/play it, all we're saying is don't harass people or creators who do enjoy it.

You cannot go into shark infested waters and be surprised when there's a shark, because frankly, what did you expect?

despite being insanely involved with proship/antiship shit I have never EVER seen an self proclaimed anti NOT go against their own values

"all of us want people to get better and have therapy" then uses "fat", "fatherless", "psychopath", and "delusional" as an insult, triggers proshippers purposefully, stalks, and interacts/supports people who does these things. plus a ton of y'all resort to suicide and death threats when somebody is weird and/or disordered in a way you don't like.

"we just don't want children to think incest is okay" then threatens, grooms, gaslights, or even ships REAL people with REAL rapists just because theyre a proshipper (also, look after your own damn kids.)

"but these topics are seen as desirable, and can still influence anybody" then enjoys media that has you play as a murderer, media that is just about gore, or media that is told by an unreliable character (eg. tell-tale heart, lolita, etc) that shows their criminal actions in a good/okay light.

"this is/could be illegal, so you shouldn't do it" then plays/watches free/pirated games and movies, threatens others, and has probably vandalized a structure in a way they don't realize (or acknowledge) (also how is liking a ship ever going to get close to being illegal?)

"your content could trigger somebody" then, again, will send threats, stalk, say that proshippers deserve their trauma, and do nothing except belittle them

I feel really guilty for being a proshipper. I'm anon because people can be horrible about proshipping and I really do not want to deal with that. It's isolating not having anyone to talk to but I'd rather just keep it to myself then have people dox me or something.

Stop making sex jokes and thirsting over your faves, the kids shouldn’t know what you’re talking about. Stop using the internet at all actually, because why are you, as an adult, so eager to interact with a space that you believe should be catering to kids and kids only?

People just don’t wanna admit that the “think about the children” mindset is almost always NOT, in fact, about the children, but because people like weaponizing minors to push their own agendas against people they find “gross” and “immoral”. ⭐ Your F/O doesn't judge your triggers or boundaries. They'll always do everything in their power to make your life as comfortable and safe as possible. They want their presence to be an entirely safe and loving space for you

💜 Your F/O will do everything in their power to take good care of you. They'll make sure to keep an eye on you and bring you some water or food when you haven't had any in a while. They'll ask you to help them out with something if they notice you're starting to overthinking or if you just need to keep your hands busy

⭐ Your F/O knows your trauma doesn't make you broken or lesser than. They'll never see you as weak for everything you've survived and pushed through, even if it has changed how your mind functions, they know you're a strong and brave person!

💜 Your F/O will always choose you. No matter who was behind the hurtful things/actions you've had to deal with, you will always be their love and their priority. Any ties to the folks who've wronged you are immediately gone, like they never existed in the first place, that way you and your F/O will go through your healing journey peacefully

⭐ Your F/O supports you and your coping mechanisms. Of course, they won't let things get to the point where you're hurting or neglecting yourself... However, they'll always cheer you on when you show them the things that make you smile, no matter how small or "silly" you may think it is
