Okay but let's talk about the, 'Fire exposes our priorities.' line.

After watching 'A Scandal in Belgravia.', people often connect the line to Sherlock saving John in the bonfire in 'The Empty Hearse.'.

Now this is a valid connection to make, but I rewatched the episode (ASiB) yesterday, and I noted that Sherlock only scrambled to find the code out once John's life was threatened (caring way too much for someone who apparently was in love with Irene within minutes).

Now, for all my good Sherlockians, what was John threatened with?

...GUNfire.

Within a few minutes of Sherlock saying that line, he supports it. Yes, this may just be my declining sanity, but we all know Mofftiss' ability to spread out little things like that and I really wouldn't be surprised if they meant it to also be gunfire.

Gay people can't flirt properly. It's always something like:

This line both breaks me and glues me back together when I read it.

The simple statement, as a person who has gone through struggles with sh, just hits home.

And if you look at Sherlock's arm, it reaches out, assuring who we now know as Eurus, that she has her privacy and he is not obligated to be in it. Also the fact that he is reaching out his arm, the same arm that has scars of substance abuse, oh my goodness the symbolism. Like a covert, look, you aren't alone, look at my scars too, I can't show you but I hope you read my mind and know you are safe here.

And the colours?? Eurus, wearing red, which as a first point, showcases that she does not fit into the atmosphere of the flat drastically but Sherlock is still trying to help her, and secondly, it being the associated colour of danger, and Sherlock wearing blue, symbolising dependability?

It all makes my little heart so mushy.

Omg I was just watching a documentary with my Mother and it said about this soldier's time in 'either Afghanistan or Iraq' and how it caused his PTSD and my stupid ass started grinning because I thought of the first deduction of John by Sherlock and Mother looked at me like I was a psychopath for smiling at this man's trauma.

How do I explain that it's actually because I have the whole scene memorised?? 😭😭
