We’re still getting used to being a system, and what we (are pretty sure we) have is OSDD, so it’s different than DID, but I was wondering if you had any advice. We wake up sometimes and it’s clear that the host isn’t fronting but probably more co-con, and we can’t tell who’s fronting. But today’s as worse, and we kept forgetting where we were, what was going on, and even who other people were and we panicked. Do you have any advice to prevent panic in that time?

but in the future: sometimes systems are blurry, and it's hard to find a solid sense of self. during those days, I think it's best to take care of yourselves & just focus on yourselves. perhaps avoid as much interaction with people as possible, just. find somewhere consistent to stay in & try to fixate on something to concentrate your focus on. if you're somewhere like school where you can't control interacting with people, I would recommend finding ground techniques that work for y'all

2- "does everyone in your system have different fashion sense or is everyone's style rather consistent?"

oh boy... everyone's aesthetic is so different from each other's... I think out of anyone here, our style is the most like sidra's- we love dress up shirts & trench coats & suit jackets. I also noticed we consistently like black clothing

9- "what's your system littles favourite treat(s)?"

we don't really have system littles. when we develop them, our system just kinda. throws them into dormancy due to our trauma & how our system developed. but we have a lot of age regressors & they LOVE small food! we recently learned the body has celiac disease though so we gotta re-learn treats that's ok for our body

13- "have any non-human alters?"

at least half of our system is !

15- "which alters change the body's voice when they front?"

most of us! we're an overt system. cyron is interesting because he's non-verbal and can't talk at all when he fronts but especially ivan, HABIT, clyde, junko, hexter, sullivan, atlas, and spamton. personally, from my sub-system, jeremy & nagito change my voice the most! both are fictives

On self diagnosis: We are 8 where everyone has a strict role, and I might go and say "but nothing happened to us", I show all the symptoms of PTSD and others have puzzle pieces and proof that things did happen. We're at the point where even undiagnosed it's impossible to say nothing is going on. But we live with our abusers, last time we looked for a therapist our ex "best friend" lashed out at us, and interactions with strangers cause us panic attacks... So getting diagnosed is not everything.

we didn't know how to reply to this for the longest time but yea dude professional diagnosis can also sometimes impact someone's life negatively, in terms of job opportunities & social interactions. I've seen systems who choose to avoid prof diagnosis & I think that's valid.

professional diagnosis isn't everything, it's just good for resources, reassurance, and understanding yourself I think

we r the static system I guess! our system is 21 years old & there's roughly 50-70 of us! we use he/him or they/them (plural)- we're mixed race & our ethnicity is very complicated, but to put it simply we're asian afro indigenous

our system has been professionally diagnosed with DID since 2017. all the mods on here is an alter from this specific system.

currently, the main host is ilya kovalevski (he/they/she), who is also a host of his own sub-system *specifically an osdd-1a one*

Congrats on the service dog! But I’m the other ask, and I was wondering what you meant by a fragment already forming? I thought alters split from one event, not form. Can you explain it further, please?

Alters can split and if they have nothing to immediately develop from, they're just kinda.. There. We've been through very traumatic events and developed an alter, but they didn't make their presence known for a long time, since they were kind of just a shell. They may have had a role by then, but not much else. When we asked where they came from, they were from said event. We personally call those fragments. I don't know how many system blogs have talked about this happening but yeah.. That's a thing for us.

I’ve been trying to find someone who can answer this, and I thought maybe you can? Is it possible for a fictive to be so distressed about not being in their world that they end up splitting someone they used to know? I was cocon with a fictive recently and he was having a bad, missing everything night. I felt a presence (for lack of a better word) of someone he used to know, but I don’t think it was an alter. Could’ve been him just wanting that person there. I want to know in case it happens

but uhh honestly, alters CAN develop from inner-world related stress so maybe? I don't know, I've never had it happen to us before o: but if an alter is missing someone a lot and you have a fragment alter already developed, they might develop themselves around this new identity
