original aftertale comic ending will always be peak to me bc it’s so beautiful and tragic at the same time in such a unique way like bruhhhhhhh. cause geno is such a tragedy filled character, so surrounded by death that he basically became it, that seeing him finally able to b happy with his family is so comforting and cathartic. But when u think about it’s also such a bummer bc he is basically just watching this mirror version of himself have the relationships he used to have, live the life he could’ve lived, and he knows he can never truly live like that again. I think about that a lot specifically in terms of sans and his friendships with alphys n toriel bc those r arguably the two ppl he’s closest too outside of his brother n like. yes Geno finally gets to see his friends b happy and together and alive but also… those aren’t his friends ykwim? Like yes he technically knows them in the same way sans does but they don’t know him like that, to them he’s smth foreign and new. even if they explain his awkward alternate-timeline situation, it’s still hard to except that this Guy Who Acts And Looks Similar But Distinctly Different From My Good Buddy is Actually For Reals My Good Buddy. So sans gets to have the comfort of familiarity while Geno is denied that. It’s just not the same.

But theres also smth rly nice and special in that too? Cause sans is character heavily associated with regret, and Geno has all of that times a billion. He literally named himself after the word genocide (partially bc hes a edgelord and also metafictionally that’s just a good way to distinguish him as an au character but I digress) bc he feels responsible for the deaths of lemme check my list 1. All of his friends and 2. Also everybody he ever knew and maybe the whole world a lil bit. So him getting being able to almost completely reinvent himself?? A second chance at his relationships, one that forces him to be more open and honest about his feelings and actually let himself rely on his loved ones???? And, after being convinced that he was gonna die along with everything else in the world, he finally gets to explore the surface????????? And know freedom in a way he never rly has?????????????? With everything that he’s gone through, that’s probably the best possible way his story could’ve ended, or at least one of the best endings. He gets to be free and have a family. even if it’s not technically his family, it will become his as he becomes himself, yknow? Idk. I’m just rly emotional about it.

Their exact duties vary but generally the bailiff is the person who keeps the court running smoothly, doing ceremonial stuff, providing security, etc. Basically a bailiff is the Keeps Everybody In Check Guy. and I just think about that and giggle to myself cause like. how long has Irving been gone? idk if I’ve ever mentioned this on here or not but one of my hobbies is making BIG CHONKY-ASS DOOFY-LOOKIN memory wire bracelets (which is a rly hard type of wire that just loops around n around ur wrist, basically a fashion slinky) n I made one of ms. madam miku to celebrate 3/9 aka MIKU DAY 💕🩵‼️‼️ The miku charm is from an official crypton keychain I bought a while back that broke, so I repurposed it (if anybody knows the artist, plz comment or dm I don’t have the packaging anymore and can’t find it online 😖😖)!! Had a lotta fun making it with my buddy, n isn’t that just what miku day is all about?? Friendship, love, togetherness, spring onions?!?!?
