I know the show kinda wants me to dislike Shakespeare taking over and making big changes behind Anne’s back, and like yeah that’s a dick move 100% don’t get me wrong.

…but…he did give us Frankie/May, one of the best act 1 finale’s I’ve ever seen, the himbo bicon legend himself Romeo Montague, and is the reason the DuBois family band gets back together and performs Everybody, so like…I can’t be that mad about his choices tbh.

cant because , she still loves romeo , but shes engaged to frankie now , shes starting over and this time shes staying true and sticking to her word

cant because she wants to love romeo but as long as shes getting married to frankie she has to get over him , she has to forget him

she cant love him . even though she really really wants to .

and that just . that hurts more than anything

" and i am hiding in the curtains , it seems that i was uninvited by your lovely bride to be " ( jumeo ) romeo isn’t exactly hiding in the CURTAINS , but hes still hiding , and in disguise . juliet said romeo ‘ can’t come ‘ to the wedding ( uninvited / banished ) , and in this context he probably literally means ‘ lovely bride to be ' and not sarcastically like taylor originally did , because romeo is still in love with juliet

" horrified looks from everyone in the room but im only looking at you " when they step forward and say ‘ i do ' , everyone gasps , and lance says ' francois ! ' as angelique says ' juliet .. ' but francois is only looking at may , as he sings its gonna be me
