i love cross so much it’s not funny anymore. i want him to be brutalized beyond recognition. i want him in a meatgrinder. i wrote him being disembowled once. he is my favoritest boy. he deserves to be dehumanized and treated like a dog. he deserves to have his loyalty used against him. he deserves to act stoic and then cry in his bedroom like a child because he hates feeling small and sometimes nightmare reminds him of xgaster and he hates it and he wants to die actually. and he misses his old life and his friends and xtoriel was like a mom to him and he misses her and he misses his siblings and frisk before he knew what he really was and he wants stablility and to be loved but he doesn’t know how to get it and the one time he did with epic he forgot him and now he’s friends with someone who gives him imposter syndrome purely by existing because cross feels bad that he’s not the cross epic knew but epic doesn’t care and cares for him the same. and killer is mean to him and makes digs because he wants to see cross snap but instead cross just cries because he’s canonically a huge fucking crybaby and he cries over everything including when he can’t put on a shirt right he cries so much and then killer goes ohh uh shit you good man and cross hates it even more because he wants his anger to be taken seriously but he can’t stop the tears so he storms off and xchara taunts him and cross hates everything

I don't think we talk enough about how Dipper being infinitely reincarnated, and therefore dying an infinite amount of times, impacts Bill too. We're talking about someone who loved a human so much he held off on taking over the world, and later decided that he wanted to spend every single lifetime this person has by his side, pretty much meaning he'll NEVER take over Earth. Bill loves him so much, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he never has to go through life again without Dipper by his side.

But that also means witnessing an infinite number of deaths. It has me thinking, you said before that Dipper remembers dying and sometimes it impacts him in his next life. So how does watching your soulmate constantly get ripped to shreds or drowned or stabbed affect someone as cold and malicious as Bill? I had kind of a funny idea where seeing Dipper's insides one too-many times results in some short-term unease that Bill didn't originally feel when blasting someone to bits. Usually, letting some guy's guts splatter across the walls is a fun time! But all the inside stuff is the same for most humans, and Bill's seen Dipper die at least 60 times at this point. Seeing all that human blood and those bones and organs just draws back to the bad memories, to the point where he annoys himself trying to find other ways to torture people *without* getting elbow deep in their liver. And he's coming up frustratingly empty handed.

is there a reason you decided to make Bloodclan good guys? really curious

Very few cats in Blood and Bone can be called good guys, and most of BloodClan aren't among them. Most of the cats we'll meet are not really good or bad. They merely have their own goals and will do what it takes to accomplish said goals. And nobody's goals really align, even amongst their own ranks.

It's more that I try to write it so each character has their good and bad, and it's really up to you to decide who is "right" or "wrong". Scorch is willing to slaughter in cold blood, but he's also clinging to what family he has. Brick is an absolute menace, but they would die for their friends in a heartbeat and has sacrificed much to provide for them. Silverstream would not flinch away from hurting and twisting others to get RiverClan safe and healthy again. Even Tigerstar is a racist tyrant, but genuinely seeks to take care of his family as long as they don't get in his way.

TLDR: I'm not really trying to write good guys or bad guys. Just a big collection of morally grey idiots all going in their own direction even if that direction still gets others hurt.

(Except Bone. Bone is a good guy. Bone deserves all the attention and treats and good comfy pillows. Bone will bring you a flower in place of a dead rat. Bone is capable of literally decapitating other cats if given reason, but that's not relevant. uwu)
