A/N: This is first post on here 😭 I’m super into ninjago right now so I might as well write abt it. And Lloyd is super pookie bear 🫶

Romantic:

-When you guys first start dating, Lloyd is a bit distant and awkward since A. He’s never been in a legitimate relationship before and B. He has insane trauma from Harumi.

-But over time, he’ll start to warm up to you and he falls so hard.

-Loves to read comics with you, it’s such a guilty pleasure (and he’s a big nerd.)

-When he’s with you, he’s always holding your hand or resting his hand on your lower back. He’s pretty protective for a lot of reasons lol.

-Very prone to venting to you.

-Every once in awhile, he takes you out in ninjago city for a date on a rooftop of a building. It’s not the best place for a date but he’s not much of a romantic 🤷‍♀️

-Always takes care of you when you’re sick. He makes soup and tea for you, and sits by your side, holding your hand while talking about whatever.

-He’s such a cuddle bug!! He loves laying on your chest while you tangle your fingers in his hair. And vice versa.

-Loves to kiss you on your face, esp your cheek and your nose. Seeing your face get all blushy after he surprises you with a kiss really makes him happy.

-Feels a little self conscious around you about certain things, like his dad or his oni form since they’re kind of touchy subjects. But a little reassurance from you will help his self esteem a ton.

-Lloyd really values his hair, like a ton. He takes super good care of it. And I really like to think after the events of crystalized, he started to actually grow his hair out.

-And by the time of dragons rising, his hair is all the way down to his lower back (he puts it in a low ponytail most of the time for combat reasons.)

Let's Talk About NatsuMikan: Natsume (pt. 18)

Hiya! I'm posting late, on account of my job. Editing these takes about an hour depending on the post and inserting the images takes a little more, but I didn't have a solid block of time to work on it, so I worked on it in pieces and I only just now finished.

This arc highlights Natsume's powerlessness. He's distancing himself from Mikan to protect her, but by doing this, he leaves her defenseless at times. He wants to be there for her but can't because of the corner he's been pushed into, and in his desperation he turns to anonymity.

Chapter Eighty-One

Hotaru, Natsume, and Ruka are running after them, but are caught by Tsubasa, who asks them what their plan is, exactly. Ruka turns to Natsume, who turns to Hotaru, who pretends she was just practicing her running for the Festival and then the boys started following her for no reason. This comic relief is a badly-needed break from all the bullying and blackmail of the arc so far.

This arc is full of fun comic relief, but the main plot is so depressing and frustrating that sometimes the comic relief is not enough.

In any case, all three of them know that the others are all working to take care of Mikan, even if she doesn't know it. They're all looking out for her in their own ways, even Natsume who seems to have publicly turned against her. At least Hotaru and Ruka can see the truth: he's still quite concerned about it, but he's in something of a bind now.

The next we see of Natsume, he’s walking with Tsubasa, being spied on by both Hotaru and Ruka. It’s here that we discover that Tsubasa has been transferred to the DA class, but is keeping this secret from Mikan. Moreover, he and Natsume are on a mission to locate Yuka, and they’re both aware that Mikan is her daughter. It’s interesting to know just how much information the DA class has on the other students that the other kids have no clue about. Hotaru and Ruka are shocked by this information, but for us as readers, it also demonstrates just how much work Natsume--and Tsubasa--are putting into protecting Mikan.

All this information is stuff they have to consider on their missions. They want to protect Yuka, because she’s Mikan’s mother, but they have no choice but to pursue and chase after her with raids and attacks. On top of that, Tsubasa is keeping his new ability class a secret, and Natsume has to hurt her with this Luna farce. It’s a lot to put on two kids, not that the ESP or Persona have much issue putting pressure on kids.

For Natsume in particular, it was fun while it lasted, being close to Mikan. He had relished and enjoyed it, and now he has to change pace. He’s willing to, because that’s how he can keep her smiling and having fun, even if he’s not on her team and can’t even be in her inner circle anymore. He’s willing to sacrifice anything for her, but we can see that it’s not any fun for him. Mikan is suffering in sadness, yes, but so is Natsume.

The next thing he has to do only makes things worse.

He confronts Mikan about the rumor Luna made up, about Mikan showing her underwear to the Fuukitai to avoid punishment. It’s obviously bogus: Mikan would never even think to do that, let alone actually do it. He knows that too, because Natsume knows her very well. He asks because he has to.

Mikan avoids answering, brushing it off as none of Natsume’s business, because she is also under Luna’s watchful gaze. So they end up having an argument in front of everyone, both not saying what they really mean, and instead doing as Luna commands, to keep everyone safe. Mikan points out that she isn’t his partner--or anything--anymore, so he should mind his business. Natsume then asks if that means his concern is a bother, and she confirms: yes. It’s a big fat pain.

It's heartbreaking and frustrating in equal spades.

It’s almost as if Natsume was testing something. Now he knows that Luna must have threatened Mikan in the storeroom. Something sinister happened there, and now Mikan is different, dishonest, mean. That’s not what she’s actually like, and now he’s concerned. Luna’s shadow is spreading and it’s threatening to encroach on Mikan’s light.

Chapter Eighty-Two

Natsume walks off, having heard all he needs to hear.

Luna is causing mayhem and strife to punish Mikan and Natsume specifically for their misbehavior on New Year’s. She wants Mikan to be isolated from Natsume in particular because he’s her number one protector. If there’s a wedge between them, Mikan is easier to target. After all, Mikan’s purpose at the academy is to lure in Yuka, and the more danger she is in, the more likely Yuka is to try and save her daughter. If Natsume is around, threatening Mikan becomes tricky. He’d never allow anything bad to happen to her, hence his desperation and sacrifice in this arc. In order to fulfill their goals regarding Yuka, they need Natsume out of Mikan’s picture.

Of course, despite Natsume’s secret intel being superior to Ruka or Hotaru’s (and definitely to Mikan’s), he’s still not entirely in the know. Yuka being the main target, for example, is information Natsume is not privy to, and couldn’t even imagine. This is a game Natsume is unaware that he cannot win. If he doesn’t distance himself from Mikan, she’ll be threatened, but if he does, she’ll be threatened. In reality, there's no way he can win this round.

Chapter Eighty-Three

Anyway, the Sports Fest doesn’t slow down for the kids’ drama. The athletic meets have begun, and now there is a relay race.

Ruka and Natsume are on different teams for the relay, and this has inspired Ruka to beat his best friend, so he can be number one in Mikan’s eyes for once.

I will talk way more about the “love triangle” aspect of NatsuMikan and the question of choice, autonomy, and agency in Mikan’s essay, because when it comes to Natsume's side of things, he's very much resigned to losing every romantic game, every relay race, every competition. It's no contest. He's not competing. He's withdrawn from the race, now more than ever. He will not participate. He is destined to lose, after all, so why even bother?

And so Ruka wins the actual relay, and Natsume watches as everyone has fun without him, something that he’s been accustomed to before. It hurts more now, undoubtedly, because for a time, he was actually a part of the group. Knowing what it feels like to fit in and have fun with everyone makes it even worse when it’s gone again. He used to separate himself from the rest and suffer all on his own, but now he’s returned to that state.

He hasn’t quite let go, either. His effort and commitment to the Sports Fest, despite all the drama with Mikan and Luna, demonstrate just how much he actually wants to participate. It’s not about having his friends around him. He actually likes being able to have fun, and be allowed to take part in an event with everyone else, even if he isn’t technically by his friends’ sides.

His bad feelings are only exacerbated by Luna, who shows up to taunt him. He shouldn’t worry about Mikan and Ruka, because they’ll be torn apart eventually. Whatever happiness they find right now is temporary. It won’t last, and Luna will make sure of it.

But Natsume loves both Mikan and Ruka, and that does not reassure him at all. He’s selfless, would rather they be together anyway. In a perfect world, maybe she could pick him, and it makes him sad that the world isn’t perfect and he can’t have what he wants, but he’s always at peace with losing. So he’s not at all comforted by the idea that the happiness his loved ones have found will dissipate in no time.

Chapter Eighty-Four

Luna then giggles, because whether or not Ruka and Mikan’s being split apart will result in Natsume’s happiness is another question entirely. She wants to rub it in that even if Ruka is out of the picture, he can never be with Mikan. Joke’s on her though, because Natsume has already come to terms with this the moment he fell in love with Mikan. He hasn’t been humoring ideas of love confessions and weddings and living happily ever after. It’s outside the realm of possibility, because his circumstances do not allow him much happiness at all.

The future seems bleaker than ever, and knowing that Ruka and Mikan are being kept under watch by the school, Natsume keeps an eye on them too. He’s feeling sad and heart-broken too, of course. He’s not perfect. He can’t erase feelings of jealousy or the ache of unrequited love just because he feels it’s his duty to make peace with them. It hurts, but he’ll carry through. That’s what he’s always done.

But people are gossiping about his presence, putting his position in jeopardy. Luna can’t know he’s still hanging around Mikan, even if Mikan herself is clueless to this. Before he can be discovered, he steals someone’s mask, the mask of a boy named Kusami whose hairstyle looks an awful lot like Natsume’s.

If only he could be allowed to just steal people's identities and not have to face any consequences for it. Alas.

Unfortunately for Natsume, the Borrowing Race is about to begin, and Kusami was arranged to be a participant. He put the mask on to avoid responsibility for his spying, but it’s bit him in the butt now.

Kusami benefits from this, indirectly, since kids who call him moron get the cold shoulder from Natsume, who doesn’t have the same easy-going personality.

It seems nobody actually wants to participate in the Borrowing Race. It’s very personal and vulnerable: you have to borrow a person or item you’d least want to borrow, as dictated on a small piece of paper assigned to you. It’s then judged by some mind-reading alices to test the validity of the borrowed items. The concept of the race functions around embarrassing and humiliating people, so naturally nobody would want to participate.

Natsume has gotten himself into trouble here. He can’t even make a run for it, though he really wants to, because for some reason people are hell-bent on Kusami competing. He’s in the second round, and starts running as he--or Kusami--is supposed to. He gets his paper and although we don’t see what’s written on it quite yet, we can see a focus on Mikan in one of the panels, so we can tell his first thought is to borrow her.

To confess anonymously in front of the whole school or to not confess anonymously in front of the whole school--that is the question.

And then in a few pages, emboldened by the mask he’s wearing, Natsume runs toward Mikan and grabs her wrist. He’s decided he will borrow her, because maybe she’ll never find out his true identity, and he can be selfish just this once. This could be his only chance ever to be honest about how he feels. He's had to lie and hide it for so long that it makes sense he'd take the first opportunity available to go for it. This is quite possibly the most selfish thing he’s done. If he gets caught, he’ll be entirely exposed.

Unlike Ruka, Natsume can't really win this race. He won't be number one in Mikan's eyes, ever. He can't ever tell her it's all for her. The very best he can do is compete with a mask on. Ruka can try his hardest and impress Mikan and Natsume feels he never will. It's not much of a competition when one person cannot and will not compete.

He runs, despite her confusion and obliviousness, or perhaps because of it.

And just as the fireworks displaying his prompt start going off in the sky, he lets her go and walks away resolutely. There. He’s participated.

“The person you love.”

Mikan is chasing after Natsume, but he can’t be caught. Being caught would ruin everything, and would make his selfish act even more selfish. He shoves the mask back into Kusami’s face, and takes off.

You'd think he'd be a bit happier to have finally confessed his feelings but he just looks miserable.

Natsume has been very selfish now. He didn’t have to grab Mikan. He could’ve borrowed anybody and lost. Does it matter if he wins? He’s not Kusami. He could’ve just gotten the race over with and run away, but instead he played along, because he wanted to confess. He’s never been so honest in his life. He wants her to know he loves her, even if she doesn’t know who “he” is. And if he gets caught, then Mikan will know for a fact that Natsume Hyuuga loves her, and everything he’s done so far--hyping up Ruka, distancing himself, being cruel to protect her, allowing Luna to cling to him--will have been for nothing. She’ll know it was all a ruse, and then she’ll be open to all sorts of dangers. But he risks it, because he just can’t hide it anymore. He always has to hide, always has to pretend, always has to sacrifice his own feelings for the sake of others. This time, he’ll say exactly what he means, made all the more easier by the fact that there’s a mask on his face.

He’s done something like this before, particularly when he kissed Mikan on Christmas.

And the Christmas kiss is nothing compared to this: an actual love confession. The kiss was just that, and he had plenty of excuses for why he’d kiss her. It wasn’t because he loved her, no way! It was because she kept saying the other one didn’t count. Or maybe he just wanted to know what it felt like. That’s all. The excuses were just another mask to hide behind.

What excuse could he possibly give for a love confession that a panel of mind-reading judges corroborated? If he’s caught, she will know.

All his tiny instances of selfishness are smaller examples of the same idea: he lets himself be affectionate for once. He can say he prefers her with her hair down, or hug her during the SA class labyrinth, or cuddle with her when he’s having a nightmare, just this one time, and then he’ll give up for good. She won’t notice. It won’t have an effect. It won’t have consequences. He’ll give up for good after; he’ll just do this one selfish thing and then never again. But he can’t give it up, and eventually Christmas happens. He kisses her, unloading so much affection into one action, as if he’s trying to just get it over with. He’ll just get all his love out with one kiss and then he’ll be okay to watch her fall in love with anybody else but him.

But he can’t. He can’t stop doing these little selfish things. He can’t suffocate his love and leave it to die, hidden and smothered like a skeleton in a closet. Despite his every attempt to kill it, to hide it, to pretend like it’s not important, it has only grown stronger. He loves her more and more everyday, and the more he loves her, the harder it is to pretend like he doesn’t care if he never gets what he wants.

He wants to be with her. He wants to kiss her and protect her openly. He wants to sit next to her in class and smile with her. He wants to spend time with her and be on her team for school events. He wants to hold her hand and tell her he loves her.

He doesn’t want to give it all up and wreck his own chances.

The longer he’s loved Mikan, the harder it’s been to be selfless like this. The yearning has only gotten stronger, and now it takes all his power to be cruel to her. What used to come naturally, like being cold and distant and insulting her, has become difficult. What comes naturally to him now is to confess his love or hold her hand or be around her.

Despite the fact that Natsume was the only person who seems to have borrowed the correct person for the race, the White team still loses, on account of him not actually being Kusami.

At the end of the chapter, he sits alone, brooding in a tree.

He hasn’t been caught, so his actions have no consequences for now. He can sit there and mourn what could have been. He can’t be with Mikan, let alone confess his feelings. This was just an excuse to live out a fantasy. He wants to be loud about his feelings, not muffle them. But this is Natsume we’re talking about. He never gets what he wants. And in his opinion, he shouldn’t because Ruka deserves a happy ending way more. And Mikan would never love him back anyway. Ruka would be better for her.

This is just another instance of Natsume promising himself that he’ll do one more selfish thing before he gives up forever. But we know he’s bad at keeping his word, and this is no exception.

Chapter Eighty-Five

Before Mikan can confront Natsume about the borrowing race, Luna steps in, covering for him, claiming she was watching with him from the bleachers during the race. She clings to his arm and drags him off, spurring even more rumors that he and Luna are an item.

She's so violent with him for really no reason.

He tells her to get off, but she reminds him that she’s just done him a favor (though it’s really just a favor to herself). She grabs his hand and holds it tight, and again people get the wrong idea. It’s interesting how such physically painful things come across as romantic to the people around them, who think that Luna is simply holding his hand. Natsume’s persistent look of misery and apathy doesn’t deter people at all from rumors that he’s dating her. After all, Luna is clinging to him with a smile on her face and he’s not doing anything to peel her off, so it must mean they have feelings for each other. Natsume has been so good at hiding his feelings, that nobody--not even the girl he really loves--knows what it looks like when he’s loving and affectionate to somebody. They think he's into Luna, and can't see that what he really needs is help.

Chapter Eighty-Six

Luna has just arranged a terrifying fall for Mikan, knowing she’d use her alice as a knee-jerk reaction to save herself, thus causing others to think she did it for the attention. Mikan could’ve been seriously injured, or worse, and is definitely in trouble now, so Natsume is furious.

He confronts Luna, and the only thing stopping him from hurting her is that he could put Mikan in even more danger by doing so. But Luna is remorseless, giggling that she had no choice but to threaten Mikan. After all, she’s just doing what the principal said they’d do. Mikan should have been put in Persona’s custody in the DA class immediately following the Hana Hime party incident, but Natsume’s sacrifices have allowed her to skate by. Luna is there to observe and punish what she perceives as bad behavior, and anything less than abject misery from Mikan is bad behavior to her.

She warns Natsume: if he really wants to protect Mikan, then he’ll make sure she’s hated. That way, she won’t be in danger.

Powerlessness.

Natsume can’t go around confessing his love to her with a mask on anymore. He needs to sacrifice their relationship entirely in order to keep her safe. And so he does.

He’s sitting on a bench, surrounded by his classmates. Permy is adamantly defending Mikan. These rumors that Mikan fell on purpose for the attention are obviously stemming from Luna, who has the whole class wrapped around her finger. She turns to Natsume, looking for back-up, but Natsume has been told clearly what to do in order to really protect Mikan, and it has nothing to do with standing up for her against these rumors.

Instead, he says that it’s best not to be involved with Mikan anymore. He doesn’t want to see her or hear about her anymore, and he doesn’t want to associate with anyone who associates with her. He tries to give off the impression that he hates her, that he’s disgusted by her.

Then he sees that she’s been there all along, listening.

This is almost like the scene where he tells her he hates everything about her. He’s doing the hard thing to protect her. He’s lying, willing to hurt her, willing to be the villain, if it means she’s in the light and out of the dark.

But this is different.

Mikan could take it before. She yelled back that she hated him too, just as much, and even though that was a lie, it was still something she was able to say. She could argue and fight. This time she crumbles and runs away.

And he’s different too. Before, he could walk away, resolute and determined. Knowing that she’ll be better off this way was enough for him. He didn’t even look back. This time, he can’t leave things like that.

After all, last time was easier. He didn’t think she actually liked him back then. It would really only hurt him. He knows better now. Mikan cares about him, and it doesn’t matter what shape that care takes. It only matters that hearing Natsume call her worthless brings her to tears now, and that’s enough for him to feel way more conflicted.

This time, he apologizes.

He doesn't say he's sorry, but he's saying he's sorry.

He finds Kusami, steals his mask once again, never saying one word to a kid who has been generously keeping his secret for him. He runs after Mikan, and when he finally catches up to her, he hugs her.

Wearing the mask while hugging her is like wearing a raincoat in a hurricane. It won’t change anything or protect him at all. In fact, all he’s doing is giving her confirmation that it’s him, but he doesn’t care.

He doesn’t want her to think he hates her. He can’t stand it anymore. He’s sorry and he didn’t mean it.

He hugs her and this is different from his selfish hugs during the RPG or when he was having a nightmare. Those were little stolen moments for him to remember. He could take them from Mikan and cherish them as precious memories, even if she never thought of them again. This one is different. This one is for her, to comfort her, to apologize.

It’s all the things he can’t say. I didn’t mean it. Sorry. I have to do this. I really do care about you, I promise. It’s not real. Luna’s making me do this.

But before she can turn around to look at him, he leaves again.

He knows, because of Luna’s warning, that Mikan’s life will only get harder. He wants to help her, but by helping her, he’s placing himself further from her, making it harder for him to protect her in the future. If he’s distant from her to keep Luna at bay, then he’s not around to protect her from Luna in the storeroom, or during the cheerleading competition.

It’s what one might call a Catch-22. No matter what he chooses, he loses. And the worst part is that so does Mikan.

Conclusion

Natsume isn't an active participant in the last few chapters of this arc, so this is how I'll wrap the meta here. In the next arc there will be much to say about him. The Sports Fest went deep into Natsume's love for Mikan. It's not surprising that his love inspires selflessness. Natsume will always put others in front of himself and the more he loves someone, the more fervent he is about self-sacrifice. The truly beautiful thing about Natsume's love for Mikan is that it inspires selfishness too. And I never mean selfish as bad when I'm talking about Natsume. His love for Mikan is special in that it makes him want things for himself too.

I'm having doubts about being able to post tomorrow, so I apologize for only two posts this week. Expect normal posting next week at the very least! This essay is probably more than halfway through already, though I can't say for sure how much is left. Where I am now in terms of essay-writing is already deep in the Time-Travel Arc and as a result there's entire chapters I've skipped. Like. Seven in a row at times. Yikes. So basically we're pretty far in!

Lord, Katniss always had nightmares 😭 even before the games, between her father’s death, her mother’s abandonment and the other traumatizing things she saw in her life, my girl never slept peacefully a day in her life 🥺.

She even indicates that she sometimes has nightmares about past hunger games 😭😭😭. Someone protect my smol child. Please. Someone.... Someone? Anyone? No? Okay 🥺

“I bolt up screaming for my father to run as the mine explodes into a million deadly bits of light.” This is such a powerful image and it really does show that Katniss has literally envisioned all the gory details of her father’s death for the last four years. This is so sad 😞

Also though. Katniss really doesn’t talk much about her father’s death after the first book and definitely doesn’t describe nightmares about it. So .... like basically, the games traumatized her so badly that, her father failing to escape the mines as the collapsed in on him, crushing him into the pits of despair, the possibility of rescuing his corpse deemed unimaginable, pales in comparison? Yes I just tried and failed to phrase that long run on sentence the way Katniss phrases her nightmares about her dad dying, yes that was over the top but you know what? So. Is. Katniss.

MIDCO headcannons

that literally no one asked for (Generally I use Cobra and Midnight, but if it refers to them only after they join Crime Sorciere, then I use Erik and Macbeth)

Who is the most affectionate?

It’s actually both of them, but only when no one can see them. 

Most common argument?

Midnight falls asleep random places and Cobra leaves him there because he’s tired of carrying his boyfriend’s sleepy ass around.  (esp after the Oracion Seis Arc when Midnight doesn’t have a carpet anymore)

Who apologizes first?

It’s usually Cobra, but Midnight will let Cobra hear that he’s sorry before he’s willing to say it.

Favorite (non-sexual) activity to do together?

When they were still in the Oracion Seis they would always train together (magic and hand to hand combat)-- they still do.  They watch movies and play video games, but Macbeth usually falls asleep part way through.  So Erik watches the movie and pets Macbeth’s head.

Who drives and who rides shotgun?

Racer drives!... But when its just them Midnight drives and Cobra curses the day someone invented cars

Who is most likely to carry the other?

Cobra because Midnight is asleep again

Nicknames?

Cobra calls Midnight M (Is it Macbeth or Midnight, its just M).  While they were still working for Brain they didn’t really use any pet names (two reasons: they are convincing themselves they are too badass for feelings and because they dig their codenames too much).  Generally they use something chill like babe. Sometimes Erik calls Macbeth ‘love’ because he knows that it makes Macbeth melt.   They also rotate through stupid and embarassing nicknames to mess with eachother.  

Macbeth: “Hey there baby cakes” Erik: “Absolutely not.”

Erik: “What was that princess?” Macbeth: “I might actually stab you.”

Who proposes?

Erik! But he only does it when he’s 100% sure Macbeth with say yes (he probably overheard Macbeth day dreaming about it)

Who sings along with the radio?

Midnight does and Cobra pretends its not adorable as shit

Who worries the most?

Cobra worries because he knows that Midnight is actually soft behind his psychopathic exterior.   Midnight has 100% faith that Cobra can do anything.

Midnight wants to take all the selfies and Cobra acts like he wants none of it.  

Who likes to playfully tease the other?

Both! They’ve been friends since forever and have no limits to teasing each other

Who has the weirdest taste in music?

Midnight, I mean, of course.  Cobra doesn’t even ask questions anymore.

Who remembers what the other always orders at a restaurant?

Cobra doesn’t need to remember, because he can hear it.  Midnight actually remembers what it is though.

Who is embarrassed to take their clothes off in front of the other?

What embarrassment?  Honestly, they probably saw each other naked before they even got together in the baths at the guild hall.  When they got together they were both confident and cocky and thought they were the shit, and if they were embarassed they refused to admit it.

Usually Cobra, but not always, and Midnight is the brattiest bottom ever.

Who initiates kisses?

Both of them.  Sometimes Cobra doesn’t because he doesn’t want Macbeth’s lipstick on his face.

Before they were arrested, I don’t think they held hands much.  After, Macbeth.  He’s clingy, and Erik pretends like he doesn’t enjoy the fact that Macbeth is hanging on to him.

It’s Cobra, but Midnight loves it.

It’s actually Cobra and Midnight is merciless

COBRA,  they have ~300 snakes and lizards now

Midnight just uses his reflector magic to move the rain away from them.  Umbrellas ruin their aesthetic.

Who tries to playfully embarrass the other in public?

Midnight.  I imagine that he thinks of sexually explicit things and makes sure Cobra can hear him.  Cobra’s embarrassed even though no one else can hear.

Who kills the scary bugs?

Cobra takes the bugs outside because Midnight hates them and Cobra doesn’t want to kill them

Who asks the weird questions at random in the middle of the night?

Midnight... he’s most awake at midnight and prone to asking strange questions anyway

Cobra because Midnight doesn't care about the presence of blankets... or pillows... or even beds

Midnight stays in bed for more than just a bit longer

They both love horror films.  Midnight practically takes notes to use for his Nightmare spell

Surprisingly, Cobra cuts Midnight’s hair for him.

Who says “I love you” first?

It's Cobra, but it's only after they are free from their seven-year imprisonment and he already knows that Midnight loves him because he can hear it.

Who tells their friends/family about their relationship first?

Richard and Meredy SUPPORT LOVE.   Sawyer and Sorano support it, but are merciless in their teasing.  Jellal isn't against it, but he thinks that crime sorciere should focus on penentance or something. Kinana is so happy that her best friend/brother has someone to love.

Midnight, but definitely only after the imprisonment.  Cobra acts like he doesn’t like to dance in public, but he doesn’t mind if it's just them.

Probably Cobra because Midnight falls asleep if it takes more time than making a bowl of cereal

Generally neither, they each have their own wardrobes and don't really share.  Sometimes Midnight will co-opt Cobra’s pajamas because they smell like him though

Erik does it sometimes because he thinks its funny; Macbeth doesn’t find it funny

MIDNIGHT.  He doesn’t even have to whisper it, he just makes sure he’s thinking it close enough to Cobra. 

Who makes the other laugh the most?

Cobra makes Midnight laugh the most.  He’s much more likely to make jokes.  He also mocks Jellal and teases the rest of the Oracion Seis, which Midnight finds amusing.  Midnight has the type of deadpan sarcasm where most people can't tell if he’s horrible or making a joke; Cobra thinks it’s hilarious, but Midnight doesn’t do it as often.

Who needs more reassurance?

It’s Midnight.  Cobra can hear how dedicated Midnight is to him, so he doesn’t need to be reminded.  Midnight is always worried he’s not good enough.  When he lost to Fairy Tail, he was worried.  When he found out Brain just wanted to use them as pawns it got worse.  He’s used to Brain’s affection/interest in him being dependent on his skills/abilities, so he gets worried every time he makes a mistake or loses a fight (like to Jellal or against August).  

Who would have to bail the other out of jail?

Cobra has to bail Midnight out of jail, but only because Cobra heard the knights coming and managed to escape.  They were both in on the crime.

What would be their theme song?

Stardust by Gemini Syndrome or Breathe with me by Nomy.  I think most love songs are too light for this couple.  They have a lot of trauma and a lot of grit between them and the song should reflect that.

They both do, but Macbeth is worse.  He cares what he looks like more than Erik does (Erik does care, he just pretends like he doesn’t).

Cobra does.  Probably whatever else Midnight abandoned when he went for his nap.  Finders keepers.

BACKGROUND.

born in la, california !! will always be a cali baby at heart, both his parents are originally from korea but moved there because they wanted to start a family in america !

he has two younger siblings - bora, who’s 12, and jandi, who’s 25 ! such an older brother, he teases / loves them to death and will fly to cali just to fight whoever hurts them !

original name is eunkwang elijah kang, but around middle school he changed it because a.) people always asked him about it or couldn’t pronounce it and b.) he didn’t think it fit him

the only people who still call him that are his parents when they’re speaking korean and his grandparents / aunts in korea. he introduces himself as elijah or eli nowadays, though !

but he prefers eli somewhat because elijah makes him feel like he’s getting in trouble ?? lmao !

his mom tried to get him into child acting because acting was always something she wanted to do, but it didn’t go very far for him

his father hated the idea of him going into the entertainment industry because he didn’t feel like it was a stable career, and thought that as the oldest of the family he should be financially well off

consequently, him and his dad’s relationship has become a little difficult now, he loves him a lot but is frustrated his dad doesn’t seem to be happy for him pursuing his dreams

even so, he started getting into singing because his mom had him join the church choir she lead ! he pretended he hated it but he loved getting all the old people to smile on that little stage

but he really got into performing when he tried to impress a girl with a talent show & won second place by doing a really cringy song & dance performance with friends !

the idea of being in the “kpop” industy still seems so weird to gim, esp bc it’s never something he saw himself doing ?? he’s a r&b type of guy so it was really weird for him to think about at first

they decided to go with this “flirty bad boy image” for him which isn’t too out of character tbh ?? but they also thought he had the look of a rapper so started training him to be one ! so now it’s one of his positions, and though he finds it really fun he’s embarrassed to call himself one because he doesn’t feel like he has the skills to rap. 

he has a v unique voice, similar to wonpil’s, but since he had no proper training prior to joining the company they had to work with him a lot bc he didn’t really know how to use it !

was a little apprehensive at the whole “boy band” thing at first, until he realized just how much he loved it ?? and then became very invested and has been working hard ever since !he has high hopes for the group and thinks that, as long as they work hard, they can gain a stable following

PERSONALITY.

like i said before, his personality’s not too different from his brand the company is trying to market him as once they debut ! so “flirty bad boy” pretty much sums it up lmao. he’s got the whole rebellious streak going on, but i wouldn’t call him bad for real because he’s still got a good heart, he’s just dumb and gets into equally dumb scenarios. i think that this pretty much sums it up:

haha !! anyways he is definitely a flirt, even when he doesn’t mean to be ! but he usually does, and isn’t afraid at all at expressing his attraction to others ! ( on that note - he’s pansexual fyi ! ) but his downfall is that he’s terrible with commitment, he’s just not in the mood to settle down and doesn’t know how but i’m sure he’s got a long list of romantic connections ! 

he’s got a bit of a potty mouth, he doesn’t really have a filter ( unless he’s somewhere for work ofc ) but even then he’s had a few embarrassing slip-ups. def got a few wrist slaps for it bc apparently he can’t shut up !! but please lmk if you don’t want him to curse in our threads bc even though it won’t be that bad in threads, i don’t want anyone to feel uncomfy !

very spontaneous, definitely the type to call you up at 3am on a sunday asking to go out some random place with him, he just loves adventure ! some find it endearing while others find it chaotic, he’s really a hit or miss in terms of this !

a charmer, he knows how to say things that people here....especially when trying to get himself out of a sticky situation ! if he had a superpower it’d be sweet talking people, he’s got a way with words and that’s ultimately how he’s become as successful as he has ! once 4am debuts he’ll definitely give fans lots of fanservice and is the type to “marry” them at fansigns and such.

on that note he’s very deceptive and isn’t pathological liar, but can do it v casually if he thinks it’ll make his situation any better ?? not a good thing but yk just how it is !

bc of these he’s quite the life of the party, and actually gravitates toward quieter people because he wants them to have fun & he’s def the first to try to break the awkward tension !

super carefree - the world could be crumbling, and this man will make a joke about it ! it can be good in stressful situations due to his ability to keep a leveled head, but at the same time it causes him to make poor decisions because he’s less concerned about the end results.

a downside is that he can have a bit of a temper, and if he feels like someone’s competing with him or trying to prove him wrong he gets pretty defensive. also if someone breaks his trust this man holds the biggest grudge i stg

tw: alcohol ! he loves to drink, it’s a habit he started back in america but moved over here ! he can’t do it quite as often bc of company rules he has to maneuver, but if you ask him to go out for some drinks, he’ll never say no.

To answer your other thing first, yeah I know hom/estuck! :D I never got super into the fandom side of it or even finished reading it unfortunately bc it's just SO LONG (I got up to some point in the middle of Act 4 or 5 I think? That was years ago though). I know the 4 kids and the first batch of trolls around their age (K/arkat and all of them) but once it gets to the older ones from that other timeline or whatever I got lost and only really know about D/irk and Ja/ke haha. I've still tried to avoid spoilers about the stuff I didn't read and the ending and such since maybe one day I'll have nothing else to read and finish it lol. The most interaction I really do with it nowadays is reading the occasional omo fic or looking at art because the piss side of that fandom was chock-full of quality content (and in some places still MAKING IT ) that I'm still working my way through.

I've posted a few for certain popular chars like De/ku, Baku/gou, and Tod/oroki before (which I will reblog right after answering this in case you'd like to see those), so I'll do a few of my favourites this time!

M/ina (aka pink bae) :

* Pretty big bladder, but not a high tolerance for pain after a certain point. As soon as she feels a nagging urge she usually just goes instead of waiting. She can technically hold a lot/for a long time if need be, but it really bothers her and psyches her out.

* Drinks WAY too much soda. Not that it really affects her bladder, it's just unhealthy lol

* Very whiny and vocal when she needs to go. At first jokingly/to vent her annoyance, then if she's desperate enough it's solely to distract herself because somehow talking about it is easier than struggling in silence. Groans really exaggeratedly to show how annoyed she is.

* Super bouncy, like hopping up and down on her toes or bouncing in her seat in class/on the bus. Tugs the hem of her shirt down to cover or places her hands to the front of her bladder and presses while doubled over/bouncing on toes. You know that kind of stuff.

* Doesn't really grab her actual crotch unless dying. She'll press her knees together/grind her thighs though, or rut against the edge of her chair

* She tends to sweat/get flushed when super desperate/straining, and if she's especially nervous she might lose control of her quirk enough for her feet to slip in a light bit of acid. Usually she can keep the quirk under wraps even while bursting though.

* If she wet in public/in front of important people, she'd be pretty embarrassed and would take a few days to get over it. But if it's in front of friends she doesn't mind as much. It's still an uncomfortable experience but she can usually find a way to turn it into a joke with everyone instead of them laughing at her expense. She has a good sense of humor about it and hey, at least she finally got to pee.

* Will pretty much pee anywhere. Boy's bathroom, outdoors, a bucket, whatever. The only time she'll hesitate or refuse is if it's super gross.

* Has gone in the pool once to see if the rumor was true. Only once though.

* Probably doesn't have an omo kin/k, but is open to experimenting either way.

Toko/yami (birb boi) :

* Tiny bladder (like smaller than De/ku's). Gets squirmy shortly after a single juice box or small soda. Cannot get through drinking a large-sized drink without multiple potty breaks. Mostly sticks to water except for rare treats because caffeine goes through him so fast.

* Very self-conscious and shy because of said tiny bladder. Doesn't like looking weak or seeming baby-ish compared to his peers and def doesn't want to have to ask multiple times on long trips or classes, so he tries his best to monitor his liquid intake and sneak away when everyone is busy. This usually works out okay since he's so good at hiding out in corners/being quiet, but it's becoming harder now that he has /gasp/ friends who want to keep tabs on him or include him in stuff. He would low-key rather die than tell anyone he has to go at all, let alone if he has to go really REALLY badly. Dorm sleepovers will be hell.

* He isn't really pee-shy as far as public bathrooms go, but if he has to take an emergency pee outside or smth he has a hard time going, esp if he has someone with him trying to stand guard. Some people probably like to joke that because he's part animal he can go outside whenever he wants. That is Not The Case and it isn't funny

* Da/rk Shadow, on the other hand, gives no fucks and will try his best to force birdy to say something or blurt it out himself. Mostly at very embarrassing and inconvenient times with crowds, or hollering at everyone to wake up and move out of the way during said sleepover in the middle of the night when To/koyami is trying to sneak past the maze of sleeping bags to get to the bathroom quietly. Da/rk Shadow would be lying if he said he didn't get a bit of amusement from making birdy boi so embarrassed, but at his core he also does it because he's concerned the poor guy's gonna hurt himself testing his limits so often, and he would be even more embarrassed if he wet himself so HE'S DOING HIM A FAVOUR REALLY.

* Mostly fidgets with his legs. Lots of jiggling and partial bouncing and shifting weight from foot-to-foot. Crossed whenever he's sitting. Squeezing and rubbing thighs together, the whole she-bang. If he's alone and it gets this bad you can count on a full-blown potty dance.

* If he really has to keep up a good impression and can't afford to let anyone know, he can stop the fidgeting, but pretty much only by standing stock-still and straight and not really moving. His whole body ends up shaking from the strain though so it isn't actually that much of a cover

* If he's literally about to pee himself/knows he has to hold it for a LONG time with no other options he'll cave and hold himself really tight, but he seriously has to be on the verge of a full blown accident before he'll dare do this. Even around close friends he'd usually rather just try his best to keep his legs together and put up with the few leaks praying they don't notice.

* He leaks a LOT of tiny trickling leaks. He never loses control in one big gush, it just keeps dribbling out and he stops it for like half a minute and then it starts again, rinse and repeat each time more agonizing than the last until he finally loses full control and the rests hisses out.

* He tries to be quiet when desperate but the worse it gets the more he starts to let out little whimpers and moans, which can then devolve into incoherent rambling. By the time he's about to lose it he's basically Izu/ku levels of chatter, albeit much much quieter.

*When he does finally let go completely (whether that's in the bathroom or in his pants lol) he definitely has those fullbody pee shivers. You know the lil shudder all the way up his spine, complete with the softest little moan and his eyes slipping shut? His head feathers floof up for a second when he does it and it's adorable.

* If he wets he's going to be completely mortified. He doesn't cry (openly at least, his eyes will be watery), but he isn't as good at maintaining a stoic facade as Tod/oroki could. He's shaky and his words come off broken, he can't quite calm his breath hitching. Depending on the witness, he might try to BS an excuse to leave immediately and pretend it didn't just happen, not confronting them for several days until he's tracked down. Or he might break down enough to be unsure how to leave/end up staying to be comforted.

* probably doesn't have a ki/nk for it himself but would hold/wet for a partner. I don't care how edgy he looks he's 100% a SUB

* Da/rk Shadow would enjoy being the dom and even have birdy hold for him maybe, using his shadow powers to poke and tease at his bladder

Ts/u (froggy) :

* BIG bladder. Is that friend who never seems to have to pee no matter how long you've been hanging out. She also has a decent pain tolerance and keeps control fairly well. It takes a lot to push her into a state where she's at risk of wetting.

* Always well-hydrated. Always. Mostly water, juice, or tea, she doesn't drink soda very often. Doesn't mind it though and the caffeine doesn't seem to affect her much, but the fizzing's weird.

* She doesn't really give outward signs of desperation. She doesn't bounce around or grab herself. The most she'll do is press her thighs together, or cross legs if she's sitting. Usually she just tries to stand still and focus on keeping control, and will be less talkative. Usually she's very observant of her peers and the situations around her, so her classmates can tell something's up when she gets like this and keeps missing details or not joining conversations.

* Still appears pretty calm, even when bursting. You'd have to know her very well to tell that she's nervous.

* Not shy at all about asking/leaving to go when needed, unless it's an extremely formal or serious situation. Even so, if genuinely close to wetting she'd excuse herself or find a way to take care of it.

* If desperate during an actual hero mission, she would intentionally wet herself as soon as the need started affecting her performance. Pride isn't worth making errors and putting others' lives at risk, and taking time to find a hiding place/get out of her costume wouldn't be an option.

* No problem going outside or in odd receptacles, even around friends. She's not going to go out in the open, but has no problem going while someone keeps watch or asking for a bottle during a long bus ride.

* Pretty chill about going in water, but still has standards. In the shower/further out in the ocean where it doesn't affect people? Perfectly fine. In the pool or a closed lake where people are hanging out? That just makes you a jerk. River? Depends on whether it's a super clean stream or already gross, and where it leads to.

* No omo ki/nk to speak of. Pretty confused about it, but perfectly chill with giving it a try if someone asks.

Kyo/ka (earphone girl) :

* Average bladder. High pain tolerance. Can hold for a while longer if necessary, but she'll struggle/wet eventually.

* Not shy at all about leaving/asking, barring special circumstances. Not a fan about going in weird places/outdoors, but will if she has to. She'll gripe about it though.

* Doesn't get nervous so much as frustrated when desperate. She's the type to bang on the door to snap at someone to hurry up, or yell at the bus driver to pull over before she soaks their seat. Her squirming is mainly just leg crossing or jiggling when seated, foot tapping when standing. Lots of sighing/growling and grumbling to take her mind off of it.

* If she's genuinely close to losing control though or in one of those special circumstances, she won't be nearly as frustrated. Instead she gets unusually shy and quiet, withdrawing to the corner and trying to stay unnoticed while she squirms and whines under her breath.

* Will only grab herself once she's on the verge of losing it. This is when she gets truly nervous and starts to panic.

* Wetting is embarrassing no matter what, but her reaction heavily depends on the circumstances. Close friends can comfort her after some sulking and then she can kind of chuckle about it. Regular peers get some threats not to talk about it, then she'll withdraw for a few days before she can get over it. Strangers she just tries to get out of there ASAP and wants to crawl under a rock

* Probably has a pretty big omo kin/k (mostly seeing others desperate, but sometimes indulges herself), but she's super embarrassed about it. You'd have to work real hard to get her to bring it up/ask you to participate. If she can though, oh boy is she gonna be into it. She gets a real thrill out of the dominant side of it, teasing people and watching them squirm (she's a very affectionate dom so expect some kisses and hugs while she casually straddles your bladder), breaking down their defenses until they lose control just for her. * Pretty dang shy about asking/leaving, and is also legit bladdershy in public restrooms unless they're completely empty. Usually holds it during classes and then slips back to his dorm room's private restroom during lunch hour. Once he grows comfortable enough around certain friends he can use their dorm/house bathrooms, but that still takes some coaxing and a lot of visits to ease into it.

* He actually has less trouble going outside as long as there's plenty of cover and nobody's around (like a forest or smth). Animals don't judge the way people do. It's definitely not his first choice, but between say, a campground public bathroom and the woods, he'll take the woods.

* While most of his classmates/teachers in 1-A have gotten to know him enough to understand most of his miming communication, when he has to spend time with other classes/teachers or strangers in town, it can be a struggle. He's much more hesitant to 'speak up' about his need in the first place, and even once he does they don't really understand at first and it gets really embarrassing (short of doing an actual potty dance or starting to leak they might not figure it out in time). Sometimes he just writes it down instead/types it on his phone, which helps, but he's so used to charade communication that half the time he forgets that's an option.

* He tries not to be too obvious about his need when desperate, but isn't the best at hiding it. He gets really sweaty and can't quite wipe the nervous expression off his face, and his body posture is really tense and shaky. To be fair, he looks nervous a lot of the time, so most people might not pick up on the exact reason unless they know him well.

* When it gets REALLY bad he starts to squirm a little, pressing his knees together or rocking on his heels, shuffling in his seat, or the classic 'both hands gripping the edge of the chair with legs on either side, but you're not actually grabbing your crotch so it isn't obvious right?'. Any further and he'll do the actual crotch grab and a full potty dance, complete with tears budding in the corners of his eyes and little whining hums and whimpers.

* If he wets, he will be completely humiliated. Horribly ashamed, trying to clean up the mess but with no idea how, crying and on the verge of panic. That's all just alone. Have it happen in front of friends or in public and it's even worse, because now they're all gonna think he's a baby and not cool like them and he doesn't know whether to keep apologizing/crying or run away to hide forever.

* Luckily he's pretty easy to comfort once people try. He won't learn to laugh about it or anything but if people convince him they aren't mad or gonna make fun of him, he can meekly accept the offer to hang out or go back to join whatever group he left once he's cleaned up and had time to decompress.

* Doesn't really have an omo kin/k, but is a big sub with a humiliation kin/k so he could go along with it for his partner. He kinda likes the whole squirmy, blushy side of it and all the comfort and spoiling he gets afterwards uvu

Pi/xie Bob (blonde kitty teacher from the summer camp arc) :

* I actually don't have many for her since she was only in a few episodes, I just think she's really cute and cool

* Probably pretty good bladder capacity and strength to hold. High pain tolerance and endurance

* Would wet during a mission to avoid making mistakes bc she's a professional and isn't that embarrassed in the moment, but she thinks it's kinda gross and will shower ASAP afterwards. Also because her group is kind of idol-esque so there's a reputation on the line.

* Will go outdoors without much fuss if she needs to, but definitely prefers more civilized accommodations. You know she's got a nicer private bathroom than whatever general camp one the others have to use. Pros get privileges.

* Bounces/whines a lot when desperate and kind of paws at her crotch without really grabbing it. Lots of leg crossing and wriggling/hunching over. Only when by herself or with her close friends though. If she's in Pro-Hero mode trying to make good impressions or teaching camps, she can mask her needs remarkably well to focus on the task at hand. She forgets what she's saying periodically or has a shakier smile, but that's about it.

* FYI those giant cat paw gloves make getting a decent grip on her crotch imPAWsible

* Wetting is kind of embarrassing but she's also super relieved so it kind of balances out. Unless it happened live on tv or smth she'd probably be able to get over it pretty quickly. In front of any camper students she'd be embarrassed on the inside, but not let the flustering show. Instead she turns it into a teachable moment.

Alister: He really likes actually putting his skills to good use, so actually being able to subdue Cas who was fucking FERAL without killing him and helping talk him down was one of them bc actually getting out of a situation like that without having to kill anyone is rare. 

Cameron: Insulting Steve to the point where he actually was at a loss for words. He got punched, but it was worth it. 

Cas: There have been a few times when he's actually been able to stare down Kate and stand up for himself after he escaped and ohhh boy that gives him some sweet dopamine. 

Rory: Drugging Lucas's food, locking him in the bathroom, and going off into the night. Truly iconique and also how she was able to run into Renee. 

4B Do they tip well? How easily can they be moved to not leave a tip?

Renee: Always tips, but will tip extra depending on the service. 15-20 percent

Alister: Tips well, unless the waiter is *really* bad. 10-5 percent if they're shitty, 20 for everyone else.  

Cameron: Tips what he can, which may not be a lot. about 15 percent. 

Cas: Will tip the same regardless of service. 30 percent. 

Rory: Will tip, but will NOT tip an extremely rude waiter. about 15 percent.

7b How do they respond to babies crying in public?

Renee: No judgement, of course. She'll give them a smile especially if the mother is embarrassed. 

Alister: It doesn't bother him at all, but he'll let the parents comfort their own baby.

Cameron: Might try to make them laugh if they're especially distressed. He's pretty good at it.

Cas: Has no clue what to do, but wouldn't think of complaining about it.

Rory: Finds it a bit annoying of it's PIERCING, but knows it's not the baby/moms fault so she just hangs back.

3b Under what situations would they get angry at servers, staff, customer service, et cetera?

Renee: She's pretty patient with honest mistakes like getting her order wrong, but any overt douchebaggery towards her or other staff and she'll snap back. 

Alister: He'll get snippy back at bitchy service staff, but he doesn't really care to sit there and argue unless he were ripped off or something. He'd  say something at, say, a boss screaming at their employee. 

Cameron: If he notices he's being passed over or not treated as well as other customers he'll say so. 

Cas: No situation, really, unless he witnesses some sort of blatant discrimination. 

Rory: She'll respond to rudeness with rudeness, but other than that she's a surprisingly easy customer.

Renee: Any kind of humor if it's done right, she likes to laugh but doesn't like anything over done. 

Alister: Sarcasm and people being dragged

Cas: Funny, but harmless pranks. 

Cameron: Pranks and gay chicken

Rory: Heavy sarcasm and teasing. But she does think some slapstick is kinda funny. 

1c Does your OC have a moral code? If not, how do they base their actions? If so, where does it come from, and how seriously do they take it?

Renee: Simply don't hurt children/innocent people, and don't cause unneeded suffering, especially when she's out on her own. If she's really enraged that can flip, but not easily. Also, she tends to want to stay away from criminal activity in general. 

Alister:  prefers not to kill unless he has to. This tends to be flexible when encountering someone who hurts his friends/family as he has absolutely no qualms about killing them. He won't kill or hurt children.

Cameron: He wouldn't want to kill another person, full stop. The only way he'd do it is in defense of himself or someone else.

Cas: He doesn't like to kill, or even fight really. Obviously that depends on the circumstances, but still. 

Rory: Let's just say all the children don't want to murder people

3dHow comfortable are they with the idea of death?

Renee: She accepted that it's the most likely thing to happen is that she'll die young, but isn't all that comfortable with it and tries to push the thought to the side. 

Alister: Depends on the circumstances aka who murders him, but he'd rather not think about it.

Cameron: Uh, not. At all. 

Cas: Sometimes he's okay with it, sometimes it terrifies him.

Rory: Would definitely rather not think about it either.

5d Do they believe in ghosts? If not, why? If so, do they think they’re magical/tie into their religion, or are they scientifically plausible?

Renee: Kinda indifferent, but isn't opposed to the possibility.

Alister: Nope, does not believe in ghosts or anything like that. 

Cameron: Yes, and will equate any weird situation to ghosts.

Cas: Yes, but wants them far away from him.

Rory: Flips back and forth, but usually it's a yes.

1e Would you say that your OC is intelligent? In what ways? Would your OC agree?

Renee: She's clever, and good at manipulation when she needs to be. She'd agree emphatically.

Alister: Yeah, esp when it comes to planning things out or being generally perceptive. He'd probably agree. 

Cameron: Yes when it comes to school/social situations and no when it comes to not being impulsive. He'd say he's smart, though.

Cas: He's more clever than he lets on, but is more book smart than street smart. He wouldn't describe himself that way.

Rory: She is, since she's an overachiever and likes to prove herself. She's also gotten herself out of a lot of bad situations, but is still impulsive. She'd say she's a genius, of course.

5e What’s their highest education level? Do they want to continue their education?

Renee: She actually got her diploma when she started working, just because she wanted more options to be open if she needed them. She was pretty far behind but she's a hard worker so it didn't take her long. She's not particularly interested in college, but wouldn't be against trying it.

Alister: Kinda hard to pinpoint, because as shitty as Soren was he did let him go to high school before making him drop out when it  interfered with his work. Probably about a grade 11 level, which he would be interested in finishing up if he were more optimistic about being able to live a "normal" life.

Cas: He was taken at about 13, so he has the lowest education. However, he was actually bumped ahead a grade when he was still in school because he's actually quite studious. He would definitely love to go back with the right push and he'd be interested in college.

Rory: She's still in HS but she will definitely want to go to college and is very driven when it comes to her studies. (in the rp she probably wants to be like Rae and try computer science, but would probably branch off into something a little different)

Cameron: Still HS. He's a bit of a slacker and could probably do really well if he tried a bit harder, but it can be difficult to grab his attention. Once he gets to his senior year he'll start taking his education more seriously, though, and would do well in college.

7e Are they a good note-taker? Are they a good test-taker? Do exams make them nervous?

Renee: More likely to wing it and still do well, and she's good at pushing her nervousness aside.

Alister: Probably would be pretty good at prepping for that sort of thing, he wouldn't really be worried about it.

Cas: A nervous wreck, for sure, but would always do well anyway.

Rory: Is nervous about certain exams, but is usually confident and does well.

Cameron: Forgets to study and then is like Oh No...

5f How handy are they? Can they fix appliances, cars, cabinets, et cetera?

Renee: She can change a tire but if something in the house breaks she's hopeless and just calls for help. Mostly because it's tedious.

Alister: Knows the basics from living on his own but gets annoyed spending too much time trying to fix something.

Cas: Nope, everything goes right to the shop.

Rory: Not really, unless it's something small.

Cameron: He ain't handy, but maybe he'll learn.

7f What’s their “dream career” or job situation?

Renee:  A professional dancer, of course.

Alister: Something where he could put his skills to good use without having to be reminded of his past, which could be a lot of things really bc he aint picky 

Cas: Fuckin uh... he'd be happy with almost anything, but he'd prefer no physical labor and freedom to make decisions.

Rory: Maybe a type A business bitch or something along those lines

Cameron: He has nooo clue but right now he wants it to be something cool.

5G Did they go through any typical phases growing up?

Renee: She went through a very abrasive phase in her early to mid teens but mellowed out later. 

Alister: He had some periods of recklessness in his teens, but that was quickly squashed out by getting his ass kicked whomstever adult he thought it would be smart to try and fight.

Cas: Before he was taken he was just starting to be in a bit of a distant, sulky "i'm so grown up" phase. It wouldn't have lasted long.

Rory: Aside from general bratty snarkiness, she had a terrible "mine" phase when she was two that was probably over indulged. 

Cameron: He was THAT child who would start conversations with strangers out of nowhere and had to be watched carefully so he didn't wander off.

41 How often do they cook? Do they order out a lot?

Renee: Mostly orders out, but can cook if she needs to.

Alister: He cooks almost everything, unless he feels really lazy.

Cas: Absolutely cannot cook, so never. Mcdonalds err day.

Rory: Not often. She's pretty good at step by step baking, but not cooking.

Cameron: Can only make boxed mac and cheese...

7j How much interest in environmental health do they have?

Renee: A lot, will seperate her CANS but unfortunately cannot take short showers.

Alister: Doesn't really think about it that much, but makes at least a bit of effort to recycle.

Cas: Absolutely does not think about it, but if it were explained to him he'd go all out.

Rory: She cares, but doesn't really know what to do about it.

1l How have your characters changed since you created them?

Renee: She's gotten more toned down and intelligent, like she used to be hyper as fuck and kinda annoying. She's also more reserved and even a bit cold sometimes, whereas before she would probably slam her life story on a random stranger. Also, she has a bigger temper than before.

 Alister: haha ohhh boy, like. He's not flirtatous or weird anymore at ALL, he's closed off and grumpy but at the same time a better person and not a fucking freak. Also weird but he went from being a male pre renee to being really mean to the point of being insufferable before getting more balanced.

Cas: He came off as a bit more insidious in that he liked to fuck with people by saying weird, creepy serial killer things and put everyone off. Now most of his inappropriate comments are because he's socially unaware, not on purpose. 

Rory: She used to be a bit of a dumbass and really, really mean as opposed to just sarcastic and socially awkward oh and she looked like shit but they all did so.

Cameron: He was more... normal. Like, less outgoing and really average/lowkey boring until he got fleshed out more.

Renee: Yeah, why not lol

Could they be considered lazy? yes. he only applies himself if he’s interested and for most of school he has no qualms abt being a lil sus and casually “accidentally” getting the answers to things so yeah that’s. that could be considered lazy. however, when he does care abt smth he will absolutely dedicate himself to it. he practices piano consistently and diligently day in and day out so it honestly depends on if he cares or not

How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt? v difficult. he rarely becomes guilty for longer than .4 seconds but when it does he’s srsly going to internalize that bc if he’s feeling guilty he prbly f-ed up real bad. he also won’t rlly talk abt it to anyone so it’s even more likely it’ll just get internalized

Are they supportive? that’s extremely dependent on who it is and what it is. if it’s sev he’ll b v supportive but sev is a VERY big exception in most cases also sev rarely gets visibly excited abt things so it’s usually a cause for celebration when he does. if josie (his bff) is excited abt smth? if he can relate he’ll be excited for her but if he can’t he’ll TRY his best but there will be some teasing involved bc that’s how he diffuses confusion. their other bff will get the same treatment but w slightly more effort bc she’s more sensitive but gosh if it’s someone he doesn’t know rlly well he’ll be rlly confused he’ll be like good for u ha?? or someone he knows casually. they’ll get teased so he tries but he also sucks at life. for such a great analyst he’s terrible at being socially delicate

Hoshido Fam Headcanons

Hinoka used to have long hair. She cut it off when she took up the Naginata. Sakura kept her hair short to be like her sister. Ryoma kept his hair long to be like his father (plus it's just the samurai look). Takumi kept his hair long and in a ponytail to be like Mikoto (plus the ponytail keeps hair out of his face, he has no idea how Ryoma manages without putting his hair up, maybe the mask helps)

Hoshido sibs’ mother, Ikona, was a kind, but her body was frail.

Ikona knew Sumeragi was in love with Mikoto. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't jealous at all. But after getting assurance from Sumeragi that he didn't love her any less, she gave blessing to Sumeragi taking Mikoto as his second wife. The two became friends.

Ikona was a Kinshi Knight; back when she was younger and healthier she was quite the warrior. She wielded the Fujin Yumi, and everyone admired her form and grace. Reina used to be her retainer.

Corrin was about 3 years old when they came to Hoshido. Takumi had recently been born. At that point, Ikona's health was already declining, and Takumi's birth took a lot out of her. Mikoto helped her a lot raising Takumi, who was a rather attention-needy baby.

Corrin would follow Hinoka and Ryoma like a little chick. Hinoka got really attached to them, and would sometimes use them as a dress-up doll. Ryoma liked to show little Corrin all the cool places around the castle.

Ikona died from complications due to childbirth after giving birth to Sakura. On her deathbed, she asked Mikoto to please take care of her children for her.

On her deathbed, Ikona asked Ryoma and Hinoka to please take care of their younger siblings as well as Mikoto and her child. Hinoka was too busy crying her eyes out and begging her not to leave them to really listen to her. But Ryoma wiped away his tears and solemnly nodded.

Shortly after Ikona's death and before The Kidnapping, Sumeragi told Ryoma (who was around 13 at the time) about Corrin not being his child. Then he told Ryoma to "please take care of our family when I'm not there", especially Mikoto and Corrin, who might receive opposition from outsiders. Ryoma replied "What do you mean Father, you'll always be around" because he couldn't imagine his dad not being there. Sumeragi just smiled and patted Ryoma's head.

Ryoma was there when Sumeragi was killed and Corrin was taken away. But he was too frozen in fear to do anything. By the time he thought to take action, it was too late. Sumeragi's retainers and Hoshidan soldiers whisked him away to protect him from harm while he screamed at them to take him back to the battlefield. From then on he developed a sort of complex, blaming himself for not being able to do anything back then, which led to an obsession with getting Corrin back (he couldn't bring his Father back to life), because then he could forgive himself.

Everyone dealt with the aftermath differently. 

Ryoma became quiet, he idolized his father, so Sumeragi’s death hurt him the most; also he couldn't forgive himself for being useless, so he vent his frustration by training. He promised his father and mother (Ikona) he'll take care of his family, so he had to get stronger in order to do so.

Hinoka wouldn’t stop crying. She loved her father dearly, and she was mad the Nohrian’s took her sibling away, and mad at herself for being powerless

Mikoto was mourning the death of her husband and loss of her child. But she couldn’t show it in front of anyone. Instead, she had to be strong for the remaining children she promised Ikona she’d protect. 

The government needed someone to take charge since they lost their King. Mikoto had to step up to that role because Ryoma was too young. There was dissent among the court and public about her becoming the next queen, but she had to do her best to bear with it. 

Ryoma saw this. Realizing she was also suffering, and remembering his promise to Ikona, he went to Mikoto’s defense, and tried really hard to get the people to accept her.

Ryoma would often get hot-headed over this 

Mikoto was grateful for Ryoma’s help. And seeing Ryoma’s struggle with getting his emotion under control, she asked Kagero to teach Ryoma how to meditate

As Hinoka got older, she saw that Ryoma and Mikoto were trying to hold the family together. Knowing her gentle nature, Ryoma protected her from everything and she was starting to see the toll it was taking on him.

So one day, she decided to cut her hair, and told herself in the mirror that she would stop crying and start taking action. She decided to become a pegasus knight so she could fly to Corrin.

After Hinoka took up the Naginata, she was quite reckless. Mikoto was quite worried about her, but she still hasn’t accepted Mikoto as her mother, so she was quite obstinate and would argue with her saying things like “you’re not even my mom”

One day Hinoka heard soft sobbings from Mikoto’s room; the door was ajar, so she peeked inside and saw Mikoto crying over a picture of Corrin. Hinoka felt really bad and came to realize that Mikoto was suffering just as much as she was over the loss of Corrin. From then on she tried to be more sensitive and considerate of Mikoto’s feelings

Hinoka was the only sibling that Ryoma felt he could really open up to. He felt like he had to act as a role model for the younger ones, so he tries to never depend on them.

At the same time, Ryoma was the only one who knew Hinoka back when she was a crybaby. While everyone else admires her for her battle prowess and fiery nature, Ryoma still remembers when she would cry over the smallest things

Sometimes he teases her about it, and she would get all embarrassed or angry. But it’s not like she doesn’t have ammo of her own. Before Sumeragi died, Ryoma was pretty reckless and hotheaded and got into all sorts of trouble, and Hinoka has stories from those days

Reckless Hinoka caused Ryoma a lot of grief. He often ended up having to rescue her, or reassure Mikoto when she got worried. He would get mad at Hinoka and give her long lectures. Throughout the whole thing, Hinoka would keep quiet. She’s the only one who’s seen Ryoma actually angry, and is rather afraid of him.

They saw how each other changed and grew from the events of losing their parents, and share a special bond (which is why I think Conquest!Ryoma was most affected by the news of Hinoka’s “death”)

Takumi grew into quite the momma’s boy. He was pretty clingy when he was younger, but would never admit it when he got older.

Takumi was too young when his father died so he doesn’t have many memories of him. His older sibs and Mikoto would tell him stories of Sumeragi

When he was younger, Takumi wanted to be a swordsman just like his father and big brother. But after trying out the sword and watching Ryoma practice, he saw the huge gap in skill (even though he just started and Ryoma had been practicing for years) and decided to stop pursuing the sword. Mikoto suggested trying out the bow, and offered to teach him. He seemed to have a natural talent for it, and liked getting praised. He also liked the time spent with Mikoto

Ryoma tried his best to be a father figure to him, making time to spend with Takumi. But Ryoma was also a genius and a natural and seemingly good at everything he does, which Takumi can’t match. But unlike Leo, who tries his best to beat Xander, Takumi’s inferiority complex made him quickly give up at trying to beat Ryoma. Instead, he puts Ryoma on a pedestal, thinking that “my brother is amazing, nobody can be like him, so I don’t feel bad that I can’t be like him either”. He treasures his time with Ryoma as well, and likes the fact that he is Ryoma’s only little brother (that is, until (male) Corrin decides to come home)

Takumi respects Hinoka, but not quite the same degree as he has for Ryoma. Often he doesn’t understand her drive for this “Corrin” sibling he’s never met, and they get into arguments a lot. But then she often gets worried about him when he stomps off in anger and makes sure to make up with him (often with a peace offering of food)

Sakura also sort of has an inferiority complex as well, being the youngest and really shy. But instead of giving up like Takumi, she thinks she always needs to do better

She respects Hinoka and admires her drive and fighting prowess. Ryoma would tell her stories about crybaby Hinoka (and if Hinoka overheard, she would always bat at Ryoma to stop (with no avail)), but Sakura doesn’t really believe him.

She respects Ryoma a lot, seeing how much he’s doing for his family and country, and looking at how much she’s doing, she never feels like it’s enough. She also never knew her father, so Ryoma sometimes feels like a father to her.

Ryoma worries about her, but she would always smile and put up a wall of “I’m fine, you have a lot to worry about, so don’t worry about me”, and when she becomes like that, he’s unsure how to reach her. Instead he pats her on the head and says “well, let me know if you need anything” even though they both know she wouldn’t, because she’d feel like being a bother. Instead he makes sure Sakura’s retainers take good care of her, or sometimes asks his ninjas to secretly check up on her.

Maybe because she’s the youngest or maybe because he sees her always doing her best, but Ryoma kind of dotes on Sakura. Whenever he travels somewhere for any reason, he would bring back a box of local sweets for her, which would always delight her.

Sakura is Takumi’s ear when he wants to complain about stuff, esp when he becomes sick of hearing about Corrin. He sees Sakura as an ally who also doesn’t know or care about Corrin.

Sakura actually is very curious about Corrin and wants to meet them. But she knows not to say anything when Takumi is ranting, and just smiles and offers him a sweet.

Takumi is actually pretty overprotective of Sakura. It’s his only chance to be a big brother and he likes to exercise it whenever he has the opportunity to. If anyone makes Sakura cry, they’re going to face the wrath of Takumi.

Sakura liked to hear stories about Ikona, but Takumi refuses to listen to any, saying “Mikoto is my mother, she’s the only mother I know”. Mikoto felt happy hearing that, but also a little sad and he would never get to know Ikona.

When Azura arrived at Hoshido, she looked like a doll, her eyes lifeless.

Ryoma tried his best to get her to open up. He took her to festivals, put all sorts of food in front of her, but she acted disinterested

This was before Hinoka decided to take up the lance. When she first met Azura, she said “you’re not Corrin.” Ryoma berated her for saying that, but Azura just stared back at her blankly. Hinoka tried, awkwardly, to share her dolls with Azura, to no avail, and Hinoka quickly gave up

Takumi was too young to really understand anything, but he would instinctively cling more to Mikoto every time he sensed Mikoto gave Azura attention.

Eventually, with Mikoto’s coaxing, Ryoma’s persistence, and general calmer environment, Azura started to relax and open up. She still acted distant, but at least she started to smile.

Takumi never learned to trust her though, always suspicious of her as he learned of her Nohrian origin

Hinoka tries to dote on Azura (taking her shopping or to festivals), perhaps to make up for being mean to her when they first met. Azura would smile and accept her kindness. They sometimes practice using lances together.

It took Sakura a long time to properly start talking to Azura; she was intimidated by her aloof aura. But once Sakura got over her shyness, the two actually became pretty close. Sakura loved to hear Azura sing and would often ask her to sing her to sleep. Azura liked to tease her with scary stories.

Mikoto’s death affected everyone differently

Ryoma stayed calm during the event, barking out orders to evacuate the citizens and deal with the enemy threat. He had become really good at keeping his emotions in check, but if you looked closely, you could see his hand shaking. After the event, he went to his parents’ (Sumeragi and Ikona) grave and apologized for not being able to keep his promise to them. He cried later in the privacy of his room.

Hinoka’s knees gave out and was in a daze. Ryoma had to snap her out of it a couple of times to not get killed by the enemy. Tears streamed down her face as she fought; she tried not to let anyone else see and kept wiping them away, but they saw anyway. Afterwards, she was solemn. She reflected on and regretted all the mean things she said to Mikoto. She would often go fly on her pegasus, letting the wind dry her tears.

Takumi openly wailed and kept trying to go to Mikoto’s body, his retainers had to pull him back. He also tried to shoot Corrin, and Ryoma had to physically stop him. Afterwards, he took it pretty hard; he was closest to Mikoto. He blamed himself for not being there to protect her, but then started channeling all his feelings into hostility towards Corrin.

Sakura managed to hold it together during the event. She was crying the whole time, but kept calm and did her duty. The number of injured citizens probably distracted her. But afterwards, she was inconsolable for many days, refusing to eat or leave her room. It was the first time she really lost anyone close to her (since she doesn’t remember her birth parents). Hana stayed with her the whole time and let her cry on her shoulder.

Azura was busy trying to calm down Dragon Corrin during the event. Afterwards, she mourned Mikoto in private, but was her usual aloof self in public. So much so that Takumi lashed out at her saying “why don’t you care that our mother is dead?!”

Corrin blamed themselves, even though Azura and Kaze assured them it wasn’t their fault. They felt guilty seeing Sakura and Hinoka cry, and tried to avoid Takumi, who was constantly glaring at them.

Well, that ended sad. I have more hc about these dorks, but I think this post is already too long as it is.

He’s probably used to his side bc Shouri sleeps on his back and he likes using Shouri as a pillow.

2) Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.

Theo has full body freckles that are more prominent on the high points of his body, he’s probably got a few facial scars and other random body scars here and there. Has his marks of adulthood, which are white scars all across his body. His nose is broken and it wasn’t set back quite right so his nose has a fairly prominent ridge. Also has a veeery large fiend summoning circle on his back over his shoulders that was carved into his skin, and the scars are a bit more angry and red even still

3) Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?

I feel like Theo sort of has an accent? Mostly he doesn’t use contractions and speaks very slowly and kind of stilted.

4) Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?

I mean he rarely raises his voice but idk if that’s a tic. I think combining words (don’t as opposed to do not) is still hard for him since those words don’t exist in elvish. There’s a few words he uses that just can’t be translated into common as well that he’d probably feel silly describing.

5) What are their chief tension areas?

Shoulders and neck for sure, probably his head as well. Theo’s very inward with his tension.

6) If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why?

Glass Heart Hymn by Paper Route. It’s a softer tone song but I think it describes a lot of the emotional turmoil that he endures, with some elements of his religious struggles as well.

7) How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Theo thinks completely negatively of himself. Between the abuse he endured during his enslavement and the abandonment at the hands of his god, his clan, and his love, he feels strongly that he must be a truly awful, ugly, disgusting person to be abandoned so constantly. He’s just constantly waiting to be left again.

8) Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?

Theo is all quick thought and action. It’s not necessarily clever or what’s best, but he’s very quick on his feet. He doesn’t have the patience for thinking on things, and I think he’s tired from the long-haul plan he had to escape slavery. Thinking for too long and being in his head too long brings him back to that state of mine, and being quick is just easier.

9) Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.

Theo has a lot of nightmares and night terrors. He can’t always remember everything but a lot of it is just trying to process through his trauma. He hasn’t really had the chance to over the last 110 years and while I think he’s feeling settled now, it’s all gonna hit like a freight train pretty fast and he’s gonna be in a really bad spot.

10) If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation?

I think in a modern context, Theo would prefer the bus. Subways are usually underground and I don’t think Theo would like that.

11) What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?

With how DnD gods work, Theo doesn’t necessarily believe his god created the universe, but he does believe she holds him at her mercy against his will, and that she is malevolent. He abandoned her long ago by now though; he has no time or patience left for those who would subjugate him. Oppressors and enslavers must be destroyed.

12) Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.

Actually very good at singing. Actually a very good cook. Very fond of children and very good with kids, which you’d never guess from his base personality. Very physically affectionate with people he’s close to. Doesn’t know shit about anything not from the wildwoods; if it’s not a potato, onion, or carrot it’s not shit my dude.

13) Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?

This is Theo’s constant state of being but he is never allowed to Rest or Be Happy so he just toughs it out. Small things tend to set him off for this reason.

14) Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo?

Theo goes along with the group because it’s what he’s learned for survival growing up, and I think he does like being with a group, but he’s so fearful and distrusting that it makes it hard for him to actually gel with a group.

15) Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time?

I think by nature of being a magic user he’s fairly good at focusing and multitasking, but I think if too many things pile on top of him he loses concentration.

16) What are their best school subjects? What are their worst? List five of each.

There aren’t even 10 subjects wtf. I think Theo would be pretty good with artistic and creative things, but more technical and mathematic things would be slightly harder. He’s got a fairly decent intelligence so things that require clever thinkign aren’t beyond him, but things like home ec, art, creative writing, biological sciences, those are easier to process.

17) Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?

Introverrrttttttt. I think really big crowds, like in a city or festival setting or smth are okay, esp since his clan was pretty massive, but I think he gets uncomfortable with larger… groups? like being alone at a party. If he was ever surrounded by like, 10 - 20 other people on his own I think he’d shut down pretty fast.

18) Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether?

Theo used to be a leader, but I don’t think he can fill the role very well anymore, and I think he’d agree as much. I don’t think he’d want to do it anymore anyway, because it was absolutely miserable and it was making his hair go grey pretty fast. I don’t necessarily think he likes following either, at least he doesn’t like being told what to do and not being given a choice? He’ll follow along with plans and such but if you tell him specifically to do something you have to be careful.

19) If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?

Theo will pvp any scrub

20) If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?

This is such a loaded question LMAO but to be honest he’d probably have Auril killed.

21) Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?

The problem here is that there’s a certain deck in dnd and a certain card gives you 1d3 wishes and if I write my wishes down they’ll never come true. But Theo would definitely correct a lot of his past and a lot of the damage Jericho did.

22) Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?

I think Theo used to be very instantly open to trusting people before Jericho, which is part of why he was friends with so many people. Now it takes him a looong time and several demonstrations of positive behavior for him to really trust anyone, and it’s very easily broken. I think Shouri, and maybe a select number of others could get away with breaking his trust and be forgiven quickly, depending on how tired he is of being angry with them. Shouri especially he was furious and upset with for a long time, and I think he’s just in a place where he feels like he’d be happier just forgiving and moving on than sitting in anguish. He knows Shouri makes him happier than anybody, and he’ll give Shouri whatfor, but in the end he’d rather not be mad at him and he’d rather trust he means well.

23) Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?

I think with as touch starved as Theo has been, physical affection is very important to him. Gentle, loving touches are a fast way to calm him down and ground him and keep him centered and I think a lot of people would be surprised at how far holding his hand would go too. Holding his face is also good.

24) Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?

I mean, ‘enemy’ but he and the party paladin don’t really get along. I’m 50% sure she’s gonna try some nonsense to get Theo and Shouri to break things off somehow and i’m just. squinting. what is she planning. Otherwise there’s his former goddess Auril. He used to consider the prince of frost his enemy but I think Theo feels he’s in a considerable position of power over him so he’s not really an enemy so much as a pawn now.

25) Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks?

Hair pulling, roughness in general, getting rimmed, toy play, being very submissive.

26) How does your character prepare for bed? Do they sleep at all or can they stay awake for days on end without trouble?

Theo probably just strips down, finds the nearest living pillow in Shouri, and knocks out on an ideal night. If he’s not present I think Theo would force himself to stay up so he doesn’t risk night terrors; he’s very embarrassed by those and I think Shouri knows Theo enough to be able to catch them before they get too bad.

27) If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?

“We made it out. I fixed it. I did something. I fixed it.”

28) Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?

I think Theo, despite being extremely suicidal, actually fears death a lot. I think he worries about his afterlife and what that will entail for him, because he feels like he’s only going to end up punished. He has a lot of conflicting regrets and regrets in general and I don’t think he’d handle the end of his life well.

29) Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?

I think it switches. Having people around can be overhwelming, but being completely alone is upsetting. It’s a mix of both tbh.

30) Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?

Reindeer cream stew with herbs and potatoes. It’s his favorite food and he didn’t get to have it often bc Reindeer couldn’t be slaughtered very often; he’d be happy eating it constantly.
