@pzfr These kids are full of… something (cosmic horrors beyond recognition that forever changed their bodies)
[💜]— “Okie dokie! Only Doc has seen it this up close, so consider yourself lucky, Mr. Science guy!” (Well that wasn’t quite true, but anyone else who’s seen it like this is now dead. Probably.)
Despite her ribbing, she smiled before inhaling deeply and allowed a surge of ectoplasm to channel through her veins.
The ectoplasmic vent on her chest leaked wisps of static and plasma— skin and flesh split open with a crack, and then even further, as muscle tore and bunched into itself until her frontal ribcage was on full display against the ectoplasm’s blinding light.
To the naked eye, all that could be seen would be the brightly illuminated ectoplasm that concealed anything past bone.
Yet, Rex’s naked eye was different. He’d be able to see past the blinding light and at the center of the core where a heart should lay— a plasmic ball of nebulae that tangled itself like a symbiotic parasite in between already existing organs that decayed and regenerated thanks to it’s own pulses and yet, there was no beat of a heart. It could be mistaken for silence, but the core did hum in a low rumble.
The ectoplasmic core was not natural, it was not home in this vessel and yet it forced itself home.
“See! No heart.”

I was giving CPR to a friend whose head me and my friends could not find.
Like, she was a body without a head, but it looked like the head was never there to begin with.
Still, we knew it was supposed to be there so we kept on searching for it so we could reattach it, with no luck.
We looked for it everywhere in the sand.
It took me like 30 minutes to realize my mouth-to-mouth was not working since there was no mouth on the other side.
We never did find the head, but I did manage to restart my friend's heart.
I was weirdly blasé about it all.
It was not gorey at all, just unsettling.

WIP, a mix of a spider and snake's mouth slapped onto a torso. the colors are there to code each section of the mouth, they're not the final colors

(me on a first date) and what do you think of the inherent intimacy of surgery? have you considered the love someone must have to put their hands under your skin and hold the most grotesque parts of you and put them back together nicely? is anyone really closer to you than that? we all get uh a little enamored on the surgery table don't we haha. wait come back
