on the long list of things that celeste did not want to be doing, attending her high school reunion ranked pretty high...only slightly behind staying her home with her asshole of a husband. it felt particularly spiteful that he had chosen that particular morning to announce his intentions of divorce. at least celeste still had her career to fall back on; she could spend a couple hours gloating about that, get a few -- or several -- drinks in her, then blow out of there and not have to worry about seeing any of her old classmates for at least another ten years. they were all insignificant to her anyway, barely a thought in her mind for the last fifteen years. well...most of them.

as if she had manifested it, the first person celeste's eyes landed on as she stepped into the gaudily decorated room was her high school sweetheart. she stood, frozen in place for a moment, before she deliberately looked away, making a beeline for the bar.

Since book 7 part 5 (the part where we meet Meleanor/Maleanor 👀) is coming to EN this month, i would love to see your take on lilia’s proposal to meleanor! i mean they were like little kids right? it couldn’t have been that serious…i think the only reason she even brought it up again is because she could tell lilia still genuinely loved her…(even if he didn’t realize it himself?) but, oh well! Let’s think about silly childhood shenanigans to numb the pain! ^_^ (orz)

Entry for @glowweek day 1!

I'm a huge fan of raves and EDM, so when i saw the prompt "Glow" i couldn't help but think of the amazing glowing from blacklight, UV paint, and of course the glow bracelets that are at these shows!

I took inspiration from the scene of Steven and Connie dancing at Sour Cream's party in the episode "Alone Together" and also some colors from clips of various Porter Robinson Dj sets.

idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.
