Cyberpunk 2077 - Oda Cyber-Ninja Set (Sims 4 cc)

This set includes the following Cyberpunk 2077 Conversions: 🐱‍👤 Oda's mask with light emission (hat category):

2 variations with and without hood. One is Oda's mask with Arasaka logo with glowing red emission. The other is a plain cyber-ninja mask with no logo and with white light emission in all colours (I couldn't have different coloured emissions in one package so chose white as neutral for the glow). The without hood one is for if you wanna use it with a different or no top, the hood one is only for the jacket version since it looks weird on its own.

Includes a swatch with all the logos for Oda, and then a lot of plain no logo swatches with coloured buckle detail in all colours. 🐱‍👤Oda's Cyber-ninja pants + shoes (see above picture, pants category): 2 swatches, with logos and plain. The shoes are attached to the pants 🐱‍👤Addon recolour of @hamsterbellbelle 's mantis blades (left bracelet category)

Oda's one has arasaka logo (you can't see with the jacket) glows red and all the colours that glow white, matching the mask and the jacket. The glows are synced. I got explicit permission by hamster to modify the uvs for some things (just so the arasaka logo on oda's one is not backwards lol), but I cloned their package/mesh, so please download the original too to not cause any issues like it missing. I don't know it it requires it or not since I made changes but thank you @hamsterbellbelle o(〃＾▽＾〃)o 🐱‍👤DOWNLOAD HAMSTERBELLBELLES BLADES

🐱‍👤Info, and Issues: -Has normal and specular maps. - Pants are a bit stretching weird between the legs, I couldn't fix it. You see it when sim separates the legs. I think I accidentally merged it somewhere during the process. Sorry - Blurry logos (not all just some). I didn't have any uv space left, and I don't know how to do transparent decal meshes for cas. So i just put them in the texture image and therefore they're a bit blurry on areas where the texture was small. - Textures are hq but I don't play with that mods so no idea if it made a difference. - HIGH POLY, especially the clothing and the jacket. Be mindful of use if you have a crusty laptop that struggles with sims 4 :( I tried my best to optimise the mesh but it is just a very complex outfit and that is after deleting tons of details and things. In my game it runs fine, so hopefully should be ok. - The hood version doesn't perfectly align with jacket where the fabric connected, since I made the hood a separate hat, but you can't tell much. - Cloned package for helmet from Battuu for emission to work, but it shouldn't require this pack since I imported all Lods and textures. I tested without the pack and it appears. However it won't appear if you use the filters, so just find it in the menu with no filters. so the 'tism 'tism'd, and i ended up thinking about what bugs the fnf cast would be in hollow knight. and where they all came from. and where they all are as of the events of the game. so uhhh... here's the results of that!

HOLLOW KNIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

So, first, let's start with what bugs the cast are! (not all of these ideas are mine, a lot of them were suggestions from people i talked to while i 'tism'd)

Boyfriend is a beetle of some sort - like the ones you see in the Crossroads. I dunno exactly what kinda beetle he'd be? But he's a beetle. Basic-ass beetle. Probably has the prohibition symbol on his shell.

Daddy Dearest is... whatever Grimm's species is. A friend told me he's a vampire moth?

Mommy Mearest is a mantis - she mainly resembles the three Mantis Lords, though she does have a bit of Traitor Lord mixed in there too to differentiate.

Girlfriend is a hybrid of her parents' species. How does that work? Your guess is as good as mine! Try not to think about it too hard.

Pico and Otis are both bees- specifically anthropomorphic ones, sorta like Hive Knight!

Darnell is a bombardier beetle. Lil' fucker will melt you with quite literally boiling-hot acid.

Nene is a mantis, resembling the adults seen around Mantis Village, though not quite as tall.

Captain/Tankman is a wasp, also anthropomorphic like Hive Knight.

Monster is... whatever the fuck Nosk is. Some kind of spider, I think? I dunno. Regardless, he likely pulls the same tricks Nosk does, and perhaps even more.

Pump is an anthropomorphic mosscreep! Lil' guy. Lil' fella. Creature. Friend-shaped.

Skid is a vessel. Funnily enough, this means the alive/dead status of both of their parents is the same! Their dad's still dead, and their mum's still alive!! Though uh. I don't think their mum can be very present in their life like Lila is.

Senpai is one of the City of Tears nobles- specifically, I imagine he'd be based on a Husk Dandy, probably with some traits taken from a Husk Cowardly Husk as well.

Spirit is a moth! You'll see why later in the post.

And now, for the maps! First off, here's the map of their locations of origin- these are all mostly obvious, given what kinds of bugs they all are.

So yeah. Most of that should have been pretty obvious. But now for the map of where they are as of the events of the game!!

And now, some miscellaneous notes!!

Tankman is in the Glowing Womb room because there's a background object in that room labelled "deepnest_blur_hive" in the files- so I decided to make that a wasp hive! He's the leader of the hive - or at least, he was.

Spirit gets sealed into Senpai's dreams before the events of the game. Dream Nail'ing Senpai would do... something. I dunno exactly what right now.

Senpai's in the Pleasure House spa room because he's hiding from all the infecteds outside lmao

Dearest and Mearest conquered part of the left side of City of Tears - probably somewhere in the background you can't actually go in the base game - before the events of the game.

If these guys were to be modded into the game, then Pico, Darnell, Nene, Otis, and Captain would all be in similar states to Sly and Bretta when you first find them. When you wake them up, they'll head up to Dirtmouth, just like the other two.

HOWEVER! Waking Pico up isn't as simple as the rest - you'd have to actually fight Pico in the Palace Grounds. Once you beat him up enough, he'll snap out of it, though you could probably kill him if you kept attacking.

BF and GF are probably recurring NPCs that follow you throughout your adventure. I dunno where exactly all their encounters would be, but I know you'd be able to find 'em around from time to time.

Dearest and Mearest might be a bossfight? Maybe? I dunno.

Monster would probably only appear in the Nosk area after Nosk's been defeated and you've rested at a bench, and he'd lead you into some rooms that don't exist in the basegame before trying to kill you. He'd probably run away if you got him low enough, but if you act fast, you might be able to still kill him? Him running away would still count as a win for you, though.

Skid and Pump would be found in various places across the map - though mostly in the four areas that were split from Big Fungal during development (Fungal Wastes, Greenpath, Fog Canyon, & Queen's Gardens)

There's an unresponsive pseudo-god sitting in a blanket nest in the living room. That's not a sentence I ever thought I'd write. Observer overexerted himself last night to banish Smoke from the premises. Jester, who I forgot had turned into a rabbit, pulled himself from under the couch and was covered in sentient dust bunnies.

Fritz, someone I hadn't seen in a couple of days, teleported into the room, wondering what happened to the door. Right, I may or may not have blasted it off its hinges with my shot gun. Within minutes he disappeared and came back with a stolen door. Xia piped up, wanting to paint it. I remember when Dakota snuck into a scrap yard and came back with an old box TV for Trinity to paint (she painted eyeballs on them).

Xia immediately wanted to paint the door, but, according to Evan, there was no paint in the house. I looked away for a second (a second!), and Xia had manifested paint cans. Right, she's a god. Evan complained about painting over top of his hardwood floors (fair enough), and Xia manifested a tarp. The entire time, Evan was having a conniption.

"We don't have paint, Z," Evan explained he could get some for her, but before he could finish the sentence, paint cans manifested on the floor. When Evan complained about his hardwood floors, a tarp showed up. He was speechless as Xia and Frost gaslit him into thinking the paint and tarp had always been there. I got a chuckle out of it, but I was still hurting. She wanted to drink the paint, but Evan wouldn't let her.

We all started to get settled, trying to forget everything that happened. Jester mentioned something about being able to turn others into animals. I perked up.

"Can you turn me into a mantis shrimp? I wanna see more colors!" I started shaking with excitement, pulling up a picture and showing him. After some back-and-forth banter, I felt a woosh of air and was in a fish tank. I couldn't describe the new colors I was seeing, but I learned something. As a mantis shrimp, I think I was able to see possession. Evan had a purple aura around him, while Xia had a greyish/black aura...didn't we banish Smoke?

Static filled my vision. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something outside the window. I didn't know what it was, but it frightened me bad enough to want to not be a shrimp anymore. I called to Jester, demanding he turn me back into a human. And he did. I sat on the couch and glanced at the window. My head started hurting, and my nub started throbbing. What the fuck?

Then everyone got loud.

It was too much for Xia; she had teleported herself and the materials outside. I figured I'd join her; maybe all I needed was fresh air. But in the couple of minutes it took for me to join her-

"SHE'S GONE!" I rushed back into the house, grabbing my grimoire and the hellblade. "HABIT! GET SNIFFING!" He freaked out; everyone sprang into action, following me into the woods. At some point, Jester transformed into a dog. God, that's so cool. I flipped through the grimoire, knowing I had a locator spell somewhere. There it was! The "Quick Locator" spell took more energy due to not needing herbs or spices. Taking a breath, I said the words.

Whispy-gold streams appeared, creating a path into Hollow Grove. I fucking knew it.

We followed the path to the tower, where I knocked until Raven got to us. She was limping and surprised to see me.

"XIA'S MISSING! We need help! You're the one who knows the park the best!" My eyes caught a glimpse of something large, white, and furry behind them. "Is that...DISC0RD? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY RABBIT?"

Raven shifted awkwardly, "Xia?... The little child I'm connected to? Sure...oh yeah. I found it unconscious, so I brought it up to a safer area. Hasn't woken up since."

I heard something in the distance; I must've got here before the others. Frosts' familiar voice echoed amongst the trees, "In my defense, I even told him I wasn't gonna kill him!"

Raven panicked, "Oh no.. No no no no! You are banned from Hollow Grove get the fuck out before I call the police!" Right, Frost and Jester attacked them. I felt a presence behind me.

"LOOK- RAVEN, RIGHT?" It was HABIT. "SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER...FROST IS STAYING. DON'T MAKE ME GET MEAN." The others would be catching up soon. I wondered if Jester was going to stay as a dog or turn back into a human.

Raven knew who HABIT was. I learned that she and Xia were linked in more ways than being able to feel each other's pain. I turned and watched the locator spell dissipate into the air.

"SHIT! The spell wore off. Guys, we're gonna have to stick to HABIT's nose or something until we find her." Raven said something about her coworker doing a check around the park, not knowing if she'd be here. Frost chimed in, assuring Raven that she was with me this time.

I stepped past Raven to get to DISC0RD. My hands went for my necklace, taking it off and placing it around their neck. The wedding rings bounced together, reminding me of when Abaddon and I got married. This was a promise to DISC0RD. A promise that I'd be back for them.

Personality type: INFJ-T The Advocate is one of the most conscientious, principled, and idealistic personality types. Advocates, filled with lofty goals and ambitions, are far from idle dreamers. But it’s all too easy for them to feel weighed down by internal pressures when their reality doesn’t match their great aspirations.

German Dad, NUSA Mum. Both his parents were Arasaka employees. His Dad was presumed dead when Voss was 16, while on corporate espionage operations but a body was never recovered. His mother was also an Arasaka employee, specialising in weapons development. He is an only child and speaks English and German. So handy for the mess that he was clearing up with the leak in Frankfurt before Jenkins’ hit attempt on Abernathy.

He sometimes found the life his family had limiting and restrictive; his parents were strict. They pushed him hard at school, and Voss did his best to achieve. His Dad taught hom how to run the Net from an early age, trained him in his own test environments before they ventured online together. Voss hasn’t looked back since. He’s very close to his Dad’s side of the family.

Voss was never destined to follow his Dad directly as his parents had hoped; Voss tends to stand out a bit too much for the job and never wanted to be the “grey man" his Dad tried to mould him into. His Dad was actually more relaxed of the two; he was much more kind and affectionate towards Voss, and they had a good relationship. His mother however was more detached and didn’t like her husband encouraging Voss to find a balance of achieving and becoming his own person. Frederick was still proud of his son whereas Hannah treated Voss as more of the joint experiment she originally planned. Frederick realised trying to force Voss into something he clearly wasn’t was going to do more harm than good and did his best to nurture him.

After his father vanished, his mother didn’t deal with it well. She resented Voss as he was very much his father’s son. He looks similar to Frederick and he continued to speak both languages.

Hannah estranged and disowned Voss when he went to university; Voss was out as bi before Frederick vanished. Frederick accepted his orientation but when Hannah discovered Voss was in a relationship with another male student while at university, she threw him out. Jackie and his Mum took Voss in, as Valerian, a friend (and an OC belonging to a friend) of Voss’ from Pacifica, wasn’t able to help him out.

Voss ended up joining Arasaka after successfully graduating but in counterintelligence with an emphasis on Netrunning. He enjoyed the work and met Jessica Kikuchi, a PR liaison representative for Arasaka who often worked with his department in managing publicity when some operations were in public view or had a public aspect to them. They were together for five years until she was summoned to a role in Japan at short notice. Jenkins refused Voss’ transfer request.

Trying to find friends and his place in Night City frequently brought Voss into conflict with his parents, or more exactly his Mum hated it but his Dad was relaxed. Staying out late, not telling them the whole story of where he'd been and who he was with were common reasons. Voss has known Jackie since he was quite young and in many ways Jackie was just as important an influence on the young Voss as his Dad. Jackie helped Voss become a bit more confident.

Voss and Kerry Eurodyne

Voss suffered from scoliosis. His Dad had been setting aside money for Voss to use when he was fully grown to have surgery and give him cybernetics he would need. Part of this was a titanium spine to resolve the scoliosis as well as add in additional ports for his Netrunning. Voss hates the scar on his spine as it follows the path his organic spine went and he had it obscured by his tattoo. He has others which he also doesn’t like, particularly one on his left brow. He can be self-concious about his body as it can tend to softness, particularly around his middle. Doesn’t help that others thought he wasn’t masculine enough because of how he is physically and emotionally.

He’s great at netrunning, prefers to sneak and use stealth to deal with many things. He can talk his way into and out of things, a useful skill learned with Jackie and for survival in the Arasaka world.

Being freed from Arasaka allowed Voss to have the freedom he had craved but there are still all the tricks and plays he knows from the game which he likes to use to his advantage and as a way to get back in a small way at all that happened to him. He hasn’t forgotten what he was, and yet he fully embraced the change his removal from the corporation presented.

He can be a bit of a people pleaser, mostly just because he didn’t have much opportunity for making friends growing up, and the pressure on him to succeed academically strengthened those traits. He can have difficulty in saying no to some things but has learned from past mistakes. Voss is charming, easy to talk to and sensitive to those closest to him. Voss has a soft heart if you get past the sarcasm and layers of old Corpo armour he hasn’t quite got rid of. The better he knows somebody or feels comfortable around them, the better they see who he is, so if you see him at his weirdest, most crazy and lively then you’re close to him.

His upbringing taught him determination, resilience and how to thrive under pressure but at times when things get too much it manifests in feeling overwhelmed, anxiety and occasionally depression if left unchecked. It is exacerbated by his autism too. He tends to withdraw and isolate when he gets that way but his close friends can be relied upon to help when he’s headed that way. He is an overthinker which is useful for his work but has it’s downsides and can feed his anxiety. Voss is prone to migraines which are usually caused by stress or if a Netrunning gig has been particularly taxing.

Hyperfocus can have it's downsides!

Voss is autistic. He’s managed in corporate life by what his Dad taught him and has masked a lot. He found that his intelligence, his capabilities and manner could be used to compensate. He can tend to info dump and talk in an excitable manner, something Vesper picks up on very early on. More information is in another post to come.

He’s perceptive so he picks things up, as he’s casually going around the city. People watching is one of his favourite things to do. That said he can handle himself in a physical fight when he has to; Mantis blades and being quick on his feet makes him a surprising and challenging opponent.

Voss is friends with Jackie, V(esper), Lightning, Valerian. He meets Kerry thanks to V and over time they get into a relationship, eventually they formalise their relationship. Voss is also friendly with Panam, Judy, Carmelo, Rogue.

Scientist log 26: the dreamcatcher gang

Yume: found another group,these guys look to be angels. For the wolf my assistant reused a past idea,using basic technology,she encased his arms/hands in big metal praying mantis like sythes,which were strapped on his arms by bandages under his sleeves,a helmet similar to a mantis in appearance with gleaming golden eyes. The eyes of his helmet allow him to detect any injuries on anyone,though cause of his arms,aside from using his magic,he can’t do much. He seems mentally well.

Musō: the bird of the group. My assistant reused a past idea,using chemicals,she made him part spider,as he had grown spider legs in his back,sharper fangs and his eyes became blackened and more insect-y. A side effect being that when he cries,black liquid often pours out of his eyes as there are some kind of mutated form as his “tears”. He seems mentally well.

Dorīmu: the pup of the group. For him,my assistant reused a past idea,using chemicals she made him slightly “radioactive” cutting his arms as the chemicals gave his tainted blood a aroma,hiwever,I guess cause he’s a angel,rather then having the smell of radiation,the smell that comes out of his arms is like a nice flower scent that you’d smell in a perfume bottle. If someone were to breathe too much of it in,they’d just fall asleep,which is why he uses his sweater to cover his arms,it’s so he doesn’t make anyone he talks with fall asleep. A small side effect was that the chemicals made his skin/furr slightly brightly colored,though it’s hard to tell. He seems mentally well.

Quies: the Dino of the group. My assistant reused a past idea,using basic technology,she attached a strewn to his face,and wires onto his skin/scales that went from his face all the way to his claws. The wires allow him to use his visors to see what’s going on on the cameras by pointing his wires to a camera. He seems mentally well.

Pobu: the “demon” of the group. My assistant reused a past idea and made her into partially a cat,using chemicals with a dash of magic,her ears grew into cat ears,she grew a cat tail and her claws grey in side,as well as her claws somewhat firming in giant “paws” as well as growing sharp fangs. The experiment seems to have given her cat like instincts as she has been seen,falling asleep in weird places,purring when with loved ones and of course,meowing. She seems mentally ok.

has anyone recently had an issue with their V's nail polish disappearing in photomode? I've run through every possible issue i can think of, and nothing is fixing it

it just started like a week ago and i haven't done any major updates; the only mods I've added are clothes and poses

the only mods i use that affect nails/arms are xbae's vanilla big booba togglable feet body + arms, and I've determined they are not the issue (removed them and still had the issue PLUS i have them active on my less modded game and v's nails appear just fine).

no gorilla arms, no mantis blades, etc. mods; valerie does have the thermal projectile cyberware (and it's just occurring to me that i haven't tried changing her cyberware to see if that has any effect; will give that a go)

i do have photo mode unlocker which i know can do funky stuff, but I've downloaded the facial fixes for it; i don't know if there's something else I'm missing there

i don't have any other special textures or anything that would obviously be connected to nails

the nail polish does appear in the mirror animations but spawned v's nail polish doesn't show

ETA - okay it seems like it might be connected to the specific character save I'm on? tried one of my other versions of valerie and the nail polish loaded fine soooo hmmm

So. This minecraft passion project has been in development for over two years which started as a Minecraft Origins!AU that @cosmic-nopedog conceptualized. Then I came in, started clinking our OCS together, and now it's become a great big thing of its own that we plan on making a multimedia webcomic for! The setting is entirely Minecraft based, the world setting taking place particularly in version 1.16.4 (a version measuring to about 5 years in-world) and vaguely surrounding / taking inspiration from different mods like Thaumcraft, Create, and of course Origins! Here's a line up of what the origins in this world look like! (Art by me!)

(NOTE: not all humans have goat features, that's just a cosmetic glamor! Lots of humans have this and it's comparable to being able to change your skins in Minecraft!

NOTE 2: That merling is an angler/bullet shrimp(?) mix and not all merlings look like this

We've titled this project Concrete Garden and it follows the story of a group of four Netherborn Origins. Whyn, a ghast, Psyder, a nether born enderian, Fyrglass, a piglin, and Aster, a magma cube origin, otherwise known as Magmafolk (my character!)

WHYN CHESA CRISORAN (he/him)

A 21 year old college student (3rd year as of start of the comic) who is going to school as a graphic designer with a minor in psychology. He is one of the most normal characters in this line up as far as background goes. Literally just a fucking dude. You will see what I mean.

Whyn is a socially awkward (and severely depressed) man who finds solace in the arts like music and theater. He is constantly getting roped into antics and situations by his peers and can never seem to talk his way out of them (literally the guy you have to do the "he asked for no pickles" thing with). Though even in his fear of being perceived, he still has strong conviction in his belief in the good of others, even if it's at his own expense.

PSYDER MALLUM (he/she/they)

A 22 year old assassin with a long and complicated past despite his age. He is the starting protagonist of the first few chapters in the story. He is currently in a relationship with Whyn. (The one who says "he asked for no pickles")

Psyder finds interest in theater and fashion and happens to be very materialistic. They are as quick witted as they are cunning with the looks to match, qualities to which they use to their advantage when doing assassin work. All of these qualities however root from a deep-seated paranoia in which no one but Psyder truly understands. However her motivations are clear in her pursuit of living a financially comfortable life alongside the people she cares for. No matter the lengths she must go to get it.

FYRGLASS KAMUUSUBIS (he/him)

A 19 year old piglin who is a new enrollee at the same college that Whyn is attending (they are dormmates!) he is going to school for Clerical Magics and Enchantment Engineering and has a passion for experimentation.

Fyrglass is incredibly clever and energetic with a constant thirst for knowledge that never seems to be satisfied. He is an incredibly gifted cleric-in-training even if his methods are... Questionable. His thirst for knowledge and desire to prove his skill often treads the lines of morality and self preservation to a concerning degree. Though to his defense, it's as if he was never taught where that line was to begin with.

ASTER KAMMUSHOSUUEI (he/him)

(my ass being terrible at making proper references shines through)

A 20 year old info gatherer who works alongside Psyder in criminal activity. He has several part-time jobs as a blacksmith, a glassblowing assistant, a construction worker, and a general contract worker, all to serve as covers for information gathering for his criminal work.

Aster is a charismatic and extroverted individual with loyalty that could rival a dog. His thirst for knowledge equals his younger brother and sounder* mate Fyrglass. Aster's passion differs from scientific endeavors, however, and is rather focused towards people and stories. His passion in learning about others gives him advantage in his intel gathering. Though in his pursuit of information through motivations only few understand, he often finds himself asking questions in places he knows he shouldn't.

(NOTE: a Sounder is a community of piglins, one of which Aster was raised in alongside Fyrglass)

Now...What is Concrete Garden even about?

Concrete Garden is an Action Drama Thriller that explores the complexity of trauma, interpersonal relationships, and how to progress despite the past. There is political drama, elements of psychological horror, and queer romantic subplots.

But to put it simply; It is a story about growing... despite everything.

i have brainrot for @rattyarts Edgeworld setting, whoops. ANYWAY, meet my stupid hybrid idea. The bug and the man have been isolated. science prevails.

Outwardly appearing as a non-anthropomorphic, cartoony mantis, Norman Mann has been cursed with the true form of a HORRIBLE, WRETCHED THING, mercifully too blurry to make out any of its disgusting details. Norman himself is pretty embarrassed of this, and avoids taking his skin off unless absolutely necessary, which is unfortunately frequent when you don’t have any thumbs or fingers or normal arms. The thing inside his suit seems to change slightly every time it’s freed, cause I’m already struggling to find stock photos in the poses I need, let alone trying to keep a consistent look.

Altough he can look somewhat intimidating due to being a 6ft tall predatory insect with knives for hands, Norman is a very sweet, timid guy, and would much rather go unnoticed instead of being the center of attention. Despite this, he can often be seen with colorful, elaborate temporary tattoos and dyes, because pretty much every body mod artist he meets goes absolutely apeshit for the chance to work on those big beautiful wings and plates. i mean look at them, they’re like a blank canvas just BEGGING to be painted on! Norman usually obliges, because he’s a pushover and also deep down likes to feel pretty every now and then.

9/03/2022 (mantis deck)

We gather here today to mourn the loss of what could have been an incredible bound forward in yours truly’s efforts in achieving the world record for Inscryption Kaycee’s mod All Challenges (skull storm) speedrun.

A truly spectacular run, showing such promise in its beginnings and middle, burning bright as if it were a comet burning bright as it shot across the sky. This run set a milestone so astounding in my improvement, carrying a new personal best times for BOTH map 1 and map 3- of which beforehand, I had often struggled to reach a sub-4 minute time for map 1, the best time I had managed to reach before was a high 3:4X. A map 1 time of 3:32 is almost on par with world record pace, even, to my utter astonishment of having obtained, and it is with a heavy heart that I put it to rest along with the rest of the run it was a part of. The personal record will live on in my heart, but with the passing of the greater speedrun it was attached to I must resolve to carry on in its memory instead.

The way the boss fight against the Trapper at the end of map 2 was handled was one I was immensely proud of, as well. Having no items and my mantis god having only 3 attack power instead of 6, meaning it could not pierce past the Bear Rush’s defenses alone, it was with a lucky draw that the annoying sigil was altered to be fercundity instead in a blessed copy by Goobert that that wonderful run did not end then and there. The luck present throughout this run had my utter awe, and I knew even though the run had ultimately failed, it must be preserved in memory.

The excellent pace continued throughout map 3, as well- the time at the end of boss 3 beat my personal best of this map by nearly a whole minute, which in turn was nearly a minute behind the current world record (which as of 9/03/2022, was Magnil’s run of 12:30).

So how could it have ended at 17 and a half minutes in total? How such a run crumble so completely, right before the finish line? What could have brought such a bright, shining run to its knees, so utterly and catastrophically broken? It was naught but a single toad that had done the deed- a Bullfrog, if you will. The very last two card pickups of this run were unavoidably risky, choices between 1-cost and free cards in contrast to the safe cards picked up throughout the rest of the run of 2- and 3-cost cards. The Skink, the other 1-cost card I had picked up, thankfully was resolved of its risk by putting the searcher sigil from a spare magpie I had on hand, where it could then search for the powerful Mantis God I had wanted instead. The Bullfrog, however, had no such security... and the run as a whole paid the price very dearly in the final boss encounter- drawing a hand of cards that had neither Mantis God nor Magpie-Skink, with only the Bullfrog appearing in either of their steads. The Skink was quite some turns away, and managed to find it and then later win on my second try, but by then the damage had already been done- and the run was doomed.

Of course- this was not inevitable, in a sense. Looking back, there were indeed things that could have been done to save the run, even in such dire circumstances. I can only wonder, how much faster might the run have been if the Tadpole had selected instead of the Bullfrog, a free cost card that would not have triggered fairHand like the 1-cost Bullfrog had? Or perhaps if I had known about the guaranteed method of rerolling the starting hand by briefly quitting the mod and starting a new game in the main game of Inscryption to change the seed, and then reloading the run back in Kaycee’s mod, taking the good 20-30 seconds of sacrifice just for the chance to finish the run as a new real PB?

But the past must remain in the past, and we remember this run and what could have been in order to understand what can be done for the future. 2022_09_03 inscryption failed wr.mp4, I bid you farewell, one last time.

Ryder + Mantis Blades

Is one of my biggest wishes to VP — in a way that it looks good.

I've tried it already several times — only 3x I was looking at the outcome thinking they are… okay-ish. Yet they are not worth posting like I usually do. As some of you might know, the blades do not show up right, they are always bugged in some way.

Up there are my latest tries. I cut off Ry's right hand/arm in these because it always makes a fist and the blade seems to be more bugged than the one on the left arm, so only the left arm can be made of use, though it still doesn't look great.

Below are some of the second try. The best looking ones. I could live with having these bugged blades since in certain angles they look okay-ish. If only it wouldn't be such a stressful pain to take pics!! It's like this: I spawn Ry via AMM, give him a pose and expression I want then freeze him, then set some lights if needed. All good so far, but then: hit the fight button so the blades come out. Then you need to be quick — I switch to photo mode and do a sort of speed run in setting the angle, the FOV, quickly jump into reshade for the DOF, set that fast as well and pressed a lot of times to do screenshots because the blades vanish after 2–3 min. The amount of times I restarted this is way too long and the outcome not really satisfying, tho so I won't do it again.

There is a mod, but it's for female Vs only. There's a prop pack to use but srsly I do not want to spend more time in placing everything together bit by bit, also it would not be Ryder's arm? and there's still Ryder's arm as well. idk how this stuff should even work. Below is my first try ever. The amount of time I cursed on this is not countable.

I will just continue to wait until the day a fix for male V with blades out in photo mode suddenly appears on the nexus page. And this is gonna be one of the happiest days in my life then. xD

Looking at his arms with blades out always has me thinking that Ry replaced his good arms for some entirely mechanical ones. Not that the thought of him walking into a ripper doc's place telling "off with those I want blades", is disturbing enough already — just the thought of never having a real feeling of touch again is disturbing also. His hands aren't real anymore either. It's probably like your hands are numb. you may notice if the surface is hard or soft, idk if he can feel if something is hot or cold, tho. Probably not. 

I experienced some numbness on my left foot not long ago. Somehow I must have damaged one of my bigger nerves there so I always felt a certain numbness (besides some prickling). Maybe feeling sth and receiving touch with and on his hands might feel similar? I’ll think about this for a bit. It is an important detail given the thematic when he’s all cuddly with Thyjs (who’s left hand is entirely cybernetic as well, but his right one is still organic so he can surely tell the difference how things feel).

"Where is Gamora!"

Weapons were raised, Drax was down, and Quill had a hostage. Verielle watched it all unfold. She kept her pistol up and knife ready. Adrenaline pumped fast in her veins.

This was one of Thanos' ships. This was the only lead they had.

She scanned their opponents, analyzing them. Red and gold was wearing some kind of full-body armor with built in weaponry. The spider Quill had a gun on was smaller, leaner. Voice sounded male. Similarly wearing some type of full body armor.

The man with the cape had his hands raised. Verielle watched him carefully, wary of his power. What exactly it was, she wasn't sure yet. She didn't recognize it. His clothing was odd, not one she knew from any region or culture she'd met or learned of.

...Not that of Thanos' generals.

Vee looked more carefully now, quickly raising her eyes to scan the man's face. Wrinkle lines, graying hair, skin texture similar to her boyfriend's, same outward anatomy...

Red and gold put his helmet down. "I'll do you one better: WHO is Gamora?" He demanded.

Drax grabbed the man's armored boot and writhed on the floor. "I'll do YOU one better! WHY is Gamora?!"

Vee barely heard it.

Red and gold's face was exposed.

Reversing hairline, similar texture to the other man's... similar to QUILL'S. Same outward anatomy, same skin texture, similar facial builds, same language and vocabulary-

Oh God.

"You're from his planet!" She swung her knife out of its ready position, using it to point at Quill. "Terra! You're from Terra, aren't you?"

Red and gold's gaze snapped to her. "Terra? What-" A brief flicker of confusion and irritation flashed across his face before it seemed to click for him too. The glow in his hand died down a lick. "You mean Earth?!" He looked back at Quill. "You're from Earth?"

Peter, meanwhile, still looked irritated and on edge. "I'm from MISSOURI," he stated roughly.

"Yeah, that's on Earth, dipshit!"

Same creative curses, Verielle silently noted.

The caped man came forward a step. "Okay, let's try this. What master do you serve?"

Quill scoffed, rolling his eyes. "What am I supposed to say, JESUS?"

Vee had enough confirmation. The men before them were from Terra, Quill's home planet. They were a group, which meant the third must be from Terra as well.

Wait.

Cape and armor both appeared older than Quill. Quill was an adult. The one he was holding was smaller than everyone else. That meant-

"OH MY STARS, YOU'RE HOLDING A CHILD!" Verielle screeched. She whapped Quill on the shoulder with the pommel of her knife. "QUILL, DROP HIM!"

"OH SHIT-"

Quill let go of the third member of the Earth party. They stumbled as their feet hit the floor, balance thrown, and coughed out a, "Thanks." A moment later, their helm came down as well.

It was a boy, definitely an adolescent, with fluffy brown hair. Like the two other Terrans, he had the same build as a Terran, if slimmer than the ones before her, and a softer face.

He straightened back out and pointed at her to address her. "I'm sixteen, by the way."

Ah, so he was Groot's age.

Red and gold spoke up again, tense voice commanding attention. "Okay, let's cut to the chase here. So you all," he waved a finger around, vaguely indicating the Guardians, "don't serve Thanos?"

"Serve Thanos?" Quill's face twisted. Vee's stomach reacted similarly at the thought. "No, I'm here to KILL Thanos."

She nodded in agreement. "He took one of our own, and an Infinity Stone."

The caped man exhaled and Vee could almost smell the stress in it. With a twist of his hand, he released Mantis from her bindings.

Red and gold lifted his boot off Drax, freeing him, satisfied with their answer. "Oh, good, same team then."

Vee holstered her weapons. Next to her Quill did similarly.

"I'm Verielle," she introduced. Gesturing with an arm towards her boyfriend, she continued, "This is Peter Quill, also known as Starlord." She waved towards her antenna-ed friend. "Mantis." And lastly gestured towards Drax, who was on his feet again. "And that's Drax."

Red and gold nodded.

"Tony Stark," he replied, tapping a finger to his armor.

Cape followed next. "Dr. Strange."

The child- teenager when last, flashing a friendly smile that was just a little crooked. "And I'm Peter. Peter Parker. People call me Spider-Man." He said and held a hand out.

Luckily, Vee knew this custom.

She stepped forward and shook his hand, smiling in return. "Pleasure."

Tony clapped his hands, drawing attention once more. "Okay, so now we know who everyone is. Next step: what's the plan?"

He didn't need to elaborate.

Together, the new group launched into plotting their confrontation with Thanos.
