just learned that the way we (in the US at least) typically learn japanese conjugation is almost completely different from how it actually works

I don't think I know enough yet to explain it fully but basically for example た (like when we say 行った or 食べた) and ます (like when we say 行きます or 食べます) can be conjugated themselves bc they're actually 助動詞

so that's how we end up with words like いらっしゃいませ bc the 〜ませ is a conjugation of ます

and also when we say 食べたら there's actually two conjugated pieces here which is the 動詞 (食べ, a conjugation of 食べる) and 助動詞 (たら, a conjugation of た)

Okay so yesterday I finally got my hands on a copy of "A Guide to the Dragon World" and a looked through it before going to bed and I think it affected my dream because boy howdy I sure had a dream 🤪

BUT MY DREAM BLORBED OUT A NEW PANTALAN TRIBE THAT I'LL MAYBE MAKE INTO A FANTRIBE...

I am so sorry my thoughts are very unorganized BUT OKAY HERE'S MY DREAM: I had a dream that there was a 4th Pantalan tribe that was like a mix of LeafWings, SilkWings, and now that I think about it maybe some RainWings? They were colorful but like pastel colors which was the the SilkWing/RainWing trait and they were plant-oriented like LeafWings because some of them had little itty bitty flowers growing in between their scales and they lived in like the upper left corner of the Pantala continent

I think I will call them "FleurWings" and they are very pacifistic (if they exist, they were not involved in the Tree Wars or the SilkWing Rebellion [probably because they legit had no idea that was happening]) and they maybe might have leafspeak maybe...

AND FOR MY SECOND FANTRIBE... no this wasn't in the dream but since I'm here I may as well
