May have just figured out why the lesions have been getting worse! I got the new bottle in early December.
TL;DR, sulfate-free cleansers tend to require more scrubbing for effective cleaning/rinsing. This isn't good for people with skin conditions that are aggravated by friction. Which is, practically-speaking, most people with skin conditions!
And since this cleanser is marketed towards people with "Itchy, Dry Skin" (major symptom of eczema), reviews since the formula change in November have been almost 100% negative. Most reviewers aren't sure why it's now irritating their skin, but they know that it is.
(Notably, in my case, hidradenitis suppurativa-affected hair follicles can easily become inflamed to the size of a thumbnail if the hair gets tugged on too hard. However, since HS also affects the skin's ability to fight off infection, failing to clean the area well enough is dangerous, too! Sulfate-free products are trying to kill me.)

Garak and Julian find a good moisturizer for scales and skin that both can use, and when they go out together somewhere (especially if they’re on Cardassia) Julian doesn’t need to carry his small squeeze bottle of it, because Garak is gonna have a nice medium sized one in his bag/pocket where it perfectly fits. So at any point Julian is just “Love, can I get some moisturizer?” And Garak will happily supply because it’s a love language for Cardassians to help groom their mate. Also too, when Julian does have his own bottle on hand and they’re in a place where it won’t bring attention to them, he’ll squeeze a bit out on his hand and lovingly smooth over any dry spots of scales on Garak (who just appreciates being taken cared of and groomed by his beloved who wants Garak to look and feel his best).

...I just HAD to look up if handwashing polyester reduces microplastics than what would be shed in a washing machine. Because it DOES. And now I'm going to feel guilty if I DON'T handwash my polyester winter clothes but I am disabled with a bad back and arthritic knees and don't know if I have it in me to wash these garments by hand when I do laundry. I just had to wash a poly/cotton/wool/silk blend sweater by hand over the course of two days (i didn't realize when ordering from ThredUp that it was handwash only), and it was a total bitch

dermatologist: ok you're wearing sunscreen which is great, but your rosacea is triggered by chemical sunscreens so you need to use a mineral one - might leave a slight cast though so try out a few

unrelated to stank anon but your skin is so clear omg what is your routine????
thank you! honestly i never really had much for acne growing up other than hormonal spots around my period that my birth control took care of. i just don't want to set the idea that my skin was ever "bad" because i've been very privileged to never really have those issues. i'm just kinda oily and have redness around my nose/cheeks
in the AM i use the Cetaphil oily skin cleanser (i dont like it that much its a bit too drying but i gotta use it all before i buy smth else), Neutrogena hydro boost water gel moisturizer and biore aqua rich watery essence sunscreen
in the PM i use the same cleanser with cerave pm moisturizer and sometimes a few drops of rosehip oil if the air is super dry in the winter

Unglamorous fire godlike headcanon: they dry out very easily and are prone to cracked, flaky skin as a result. Various potions and unguents exist to combat this, some of which work better than others.
