i hope you know that my every waking moment since you posted the first banished tobirama concept post has been spent thinking about him and his bamboo hat. i cannot stop thinking about him. he is taking this small country by storm and nobody saw it coming. i would die for him. i am never going to stop thinking about him

Tobirama has since taken the economic control of a Minor Country without any intention of actually earning or stealing the title of Lord or even the seat of the Daimyo.

He starts spreading his influence. Minor Countries are all crammed together at the borders of Major Countries and I don't think that they're well off enough to refuse his business. Soon, Rain and Grass have their own breweries, little villages begin to form just like in Tobirama's Minor Country (for now let's say River). It becomes so much of a process that those closest to Lord Tobirama start giving it Stages for organization purposes.

He starts being acknowledged as a business tycoon. Starts dabbling in other trade cause even though his main business is alcohol, he's created a network of villages from one Minor Country to another. He unintentionally (or intentionally) created a trade route that he controls. So why not start hiring local shinobi to protect the trade routes so that it can become an established route. Luxury items coming out of Wind and Earth have to pass through his trade route to get to Fire and Kumo and vice versa.

The business tycoons of Fire, Wind, and Earth start to really notice him and try to strike deals. Tobirama is more than willing to negotiate.

Maybe this is how he earns a new moniker. The White Demon/Ghost is a Shinobi moniker and Tobirama has been...inactive as of late. When he meets with the Scorpion of Wind, Adder of Suna, and Spider of Fire, Tobirama earns the moniker of the White Fox because like a fox, he 'stole' an opportunity the Scorpion, Adder, and Spider didn't see and sits smug and proud of his road

Of course, to civilians he is still Lord Tobirama, especially since his business is so legal that no one would dare breathe a word of suspiscion that the White Fox is dabbling with the criminal underworld.

He is. Humans are tempted by: drugs, alcohol, sex, and weapons. Tobirama carved a niche into the liquor trade and dabbles in others. The White Fox becomes a moniker worth respecting because of his clean dealings, tightly legal business, the swiftness his influence grew, and connections with the darker underworld.

So when Konoha is barely on it's feet, an infant shinobi village under the control of one Senju Hashirama and one Uchiha Madara (with Izuna by his side), they look for a merchant Lord who could give them a good deal without running the risk of having to deal with the Spider.

The White Fox answers agreeably.

And when Tobirama appears, wealthy beyond measure (wearing a bamboo hat of course), Lord of SEVERAL Minor Countries, and the one the Senju and Uchiha HAVE to rely upon for goods and services that could support a shinobi village of multiple clans...

Can you imagine their shock? ;)))

tobirama going for butsuma's throat is expected. the old bastard still being ALIVE in the first place is not !! somebody come put him down! think of it like a horse! hashirama please stop preaching i know youre charismatic but please your brother is immune to your talk-no-jutsu. also who cares if the plan DIDNT HAPPEN???? butsuma PLANNED to do it! what if it HAD happened???? tobirama doesnt need to put aside his hatred for anyone. he should take his bamboo hat and leave this dump

Oh absolutely he leaves that dump, have you seen Konoha lately?

infrastructure wise, it's like if there were 3 different cities being built. there's about a dozen different city planners tryna talk over one another. Ninja still running in and out of the hokage tower unsure who to report to other than the Hokage, and don't even get me started on the woes of the noncombatants.

There's no equal resources. Entire neighborhoods would be built without a grocery store or a restaurant to proved prepared meals for those that don't have the means to cook for themselves. People in need of water for their job have the hike across the entire village to get 2 buckets. There's no organization of what people do outside of what their Clan Head dictates, which means shinobi children are either being told to train by themselves or thrown into the chaotic mess of trying to help build a village with no overseer.

and my poor little meow meow Madara is just trying his best to hold it all together.

It's his dream for Konoha to work, for a village to provide a space where shinobi didn't have to fight, where children could choose their careers, where the worry of war is no longer on their doorstep so while he's not exacly happy with the backbreaking work he has to put in to get shit down, he doesn't dare complain.

Oh he needles Hashirama to do his share but he's not a fucking babysitter, he can't be wasting time hunting down his idiot friend when he could be using that time going over more paperwork and projects. And honestly, he shouldn't have to be a babysitter. Hashirama is a grown ass adult and if the adult is irresponsible then that's their own flaw that they need to deal with, not coddled and permissed by those around him or by provided crutches. (ops, let my own bias leak right there)

Tobirama came and went. Madara just shrugged his shoulders cause it was kinda obvious that the pale man had his own life and worries to think about and wasn't gonna take up the mantle of being a Senju once again (he still wore that bamboo hat! it's kinda obvious!). Madara just needed to get back to work and in the weeks that follow he'll admit it's a relief to have the merchants on hand to provide provisions and resources but there's still a fuckton of work on his desk.

And then he gets a letter.

Non-descript, addressed to him as co-Hokage and not as the Uchiha Clan Head or something more personal. MAdara even put th letter to the side in favor or 'more important matters' only opening the scroll when he was taking his alotted break over a cup of tea.

Only to spew the tea fucking everywhere cause it was the most insulting, funniest, scathing reveiw of Konoha he'd ever been witness to. Oh man, you could almost smell the salt coming from the letter. It's both the most glorious piece of writing he's ever held in his hands and the most embarressing cause it feels like an assessment of his skill cause as the designated 'City Planner' that Madara always felt like he isn't, every single observation felt like a barb aimed directly at his ego.

And then he read between the lines.

There was...some pretty helpful tips here and there. A few arceticual references. Reflections on history bits. Madara had half a mind to send the letter to the Nara to crack the fucking code cause while it definetely was a brutal opinion on their village...it also provided more than a few reference points to fix it.

After Mada gets Izuna to wake up and active again he immediately tries to establish a connection with Tobirama, trying to see how the boy is doing; leaving blankets and bentos with his candy calling card.

Except the blankets, bentos and taffy are left untouched

At first he's really fucking confused, hiding behind a corner just so that he can witness the pale boy walk up to his dorm room, not even glance at the food basket, completely not see the bright blue candy pretty much crying 'notice me! notice me!' and Mada wants to bang his head against a wall cause he noticed only too late.

If Tobirama has been in a dissociative state for so long, then the recent firefight would only reset Tobirama back to square 1, Madara had lost all progress establishing a connection beforehand when there was a period of peace while Mada and Izu settled in.

So Mada tries once again to establish a connection with the boy, hoping that once Tobirama gets even a little bit out of his fugue state it'll be a 'take 3 steps forward' card and establish their past connection. Now that he's really paying attention and knows the signs of what the fuck is going on, Madara now see's the...honestly agonizing existence the pale boy goes through. Cause it's not like he's totally alone there's a bunch of people everywhere that try their best to connect and be friendly to their star pilot that's gone without a Handler for months but...the boy doesn't have a Handler. Doesn't have anyone or anything to ground him in reality.

He's like a ghost.

Then it happens, before Madara could firmly establish the taffy calling card with himself just like last time there's an emergency; two aliens that look like twins of gold and silver emerge and these chonky bastards are heavy duty, natural disaster level type threats and before any of the other pilots get suited up Tobirama is already ordered to go into the firefight.

Providing Madara the perfect opportunity to watch with his full attention how the Hiraishin fights.

And it's a tough, devestating, gruesome battle. It's not at all like the battle simulations or any other military endorsed fighting style, in the end the Hiraishin is fighting like a berserker animal on steroids against two rabid beasts.

But not without consequences. Not without dragging itself back into the loading bay "bleeding" out of every crack and cranny, a skeletal metal monster crumbling like a puppet cut from it's strings. and People start screaming and yelling, everyone rushing forward to get their boy Tobirama, Humanities Last Defense, out of the system and the boy...

i have never watched evangelion nor do i know anything about the mecha genre, but i am HERE for this idea! tobirama not having a handler present is very on brand for his type of workaholic nature. he absolutely NEEDS a handler, and i am LIVING for madara becoming that! though, are handlers even allowed to handle two pilots? or is it a one on one sort of reservation? because one person cant be two places at once, unfortunately... still, madara plz help this boy

Evangelion is certainly a "choice" piece of anime media. Personally loved the entire aesthetic and the world they built; what with the 80's and 90's feel with the cool dystopian, eco-crisis setting that doesn't rely heavily on flying cars like AKIRA (1986)[that's the year right?] Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't braced for some of the shittier aspects. Maybe the story idea could work entirely with Pacific Rim terminology? Mostly because Pacific Rim is more beloved...

When sharing my story ideas, i tend to hide alot of the juicier bits of plot. Like: Why is Hashirama in the hospital :)))? Why doesn't Tobirama have a Handler yet :)))? If Tobirama is the same age as Izuna, and Hashirama been in the hospital for MONTHS, what does that mean about Tobirama's own drafting into the military :)))?

realized i havent sent an ask here about FUBAR despite it being how i found you! im the one who mentioned them at least having takeuchi. very excited for more stuff about the Freed as they are Small and Adorable and Menaces. i am anticipating that Secret like i am anticipating hashirama WISENING UP in the future. three cheers for tobirama being the only competent one in the main family his entire life (no offense, hashirama. some offense, actually. maybe a lot of offense.)

Who has the most submissions?

Easily Stan and Ford Pines. Stan has 23 by himself, Ford has 4 by himself, and they have 20 with them combined. So altogether, they have 47 between the 2 of them.

Although, if we don't count the submissions for the 2 of them together in this count, Uncle Iroh actually has the most all by himself at 25.

A song that makes you happy: I've been listening to nightcore again lately and Hooked by Why Don't We has really got me headbanging. Also Geronimo by Sheppard, just a classic for me. (Song related but not a question asked, I have Kids by MGMT in my playlist 33 times. And rock + roll by EDEN is in there 13 times. Why? Because I didn't have spotify premium and I wanted to loop my songs)
