chapter one:

tricked into murder

leon didn’t mean to kill sayaka. in fact, it was shown that she accidentally stabbed herself during the struggle in the bathroom, but since there were no cameras there, no one but leon knew, and it’s likely he fully believed he was the one who stabbed her.

teruteru only acts because he thinks nagito is planning to kill someone, and interrupts to take out a person he deemed as dangerous to the group. while he did mean to kill, he got the wrong victim.

kaede meant to take out the mastermind, and set up her trap accordingly. instead of killing the mastermind, however, she “killed” rantaro.

“important” victim

sayaka was played up to be makoto’s helper, of sorts, and also a possible love interest. she was the character we, the player, gotten the closest to at that point.

twogami had stepped up to be the leader of the group. additionally, since we believed him to be the real byakuya togami, his death so early was even more alarming.

in both previous games, the character with an unknown talent survived until the end, and coming into/remembering their talents was an important part of their stories. rantaro, however, doesn’t live long enough for that. he, additionally, is set up as the mysterious, knows more than they let on character type, like kyoko. additionally, the protagonist herself is killed in this chapter.

chapter two:

killer reveal

togami’s set up baits out genocider, a known serial killer with a considerable body count.

peko’s true talent as a swordswoman for the yakuza is revealed. ignoring the sparkling justice red herring, it’s reasonable to assume she’s killed at least once (ignoring her time as a remnant).

while technically after the trial, kokichi outs maki as the ultimate assassin, making it damn certain that she’s killed.

hard framing of another

byakuya strings up chihiro’s body and writes in blood to frame toko/genocide.

peko knocks out hiyoko and leaves a gummy bear at the scene. hiyoko’s footsteps are the only ones seen running from the scene after the body’s discovery.

kirumi reveals ryoma’s body at himiko’s magic show, leading everyone to believe it was himiko’s doing.

something unobtainable/something lost (unsure how to classify this one but trust me it’s There)

mondo snaps because he sees chihiro as a better person than he, a man he could never be, and is overwhelmed with anger. he lost his brother and could never move on, but chihiro suffered so much and was able to despite it all.

peko kills mahiru because of her covering up the true killer of fuyuhiko’s sister.

ryoma lets himself be killed because he has nothing left, while kirumi has the weight of japan on her shoulders. she’s what he never was: someone with a purpose.

chapter three:

it’s not even coded! a spikechunsoft rep confirmed that taka and mondo had feelings for each other, even if they didn’t know it themselves.

more arguable, but mahiru and hiyoko’s relationship can very easily be interpreted as more than just friends. additionally, both ibuki and mikan are canonically sapphic.

tenko.

killing for love

celes kills for the person she loves most—herself. not only does she want the money to fulfill her dream, but she’s also led to kill because her heightened sense of self made it impossible for her to coexist with her classmates.

despair disease reminds mikan of her true love—junko. while it’s very clearly the remnant brainwashing talking, it could also be argued that mikan did admire junko even before then.

kiyo kills for the only person he’s ever loved—his sister. as fucked as it is, she’s the reason he turned to killing in the first place, and his love for her is what inspires him to continue on with his plans even after angie intervened.

death of a developing character

taka had just managed to overcome mondo’s death, and gained a brand-new personality to go along with it! but then he dies, so all of that was for nothing, i guess.

mahiru’s death hit hiyoko hard, and it’s clear that she was trying to open up more to the group and soften her ways. too bad she never got to show that improvement.

tenko’s relationship with himiko had finally begun to improve into something tangible, and she was even starting to get along with some of the guys! until one of them killed her.

angie, although unlike the others, hers is pre-trial while the others are built up during it

chapter four:

for the “greater good”

sakura sacrifices herself not only for her classmate’s survival, but because she feels as if she has failed them as the “traitor”. this is the only way she feels she can both fulfill her promise and keep her family safe, while also protecting her friends.

both gundham and nekomaru sacrifice themselves so the group can go on, because otherwise, they would’ve all starved to death in the funhouse (asides from nidai).

gonta doesn’t only kill miu because of the “secret of the outside world”, but because she was planning on killing kokichi, which she could’ve very easily gotten away with, leading to everyone’s deaths but her own.

chapter five:

overly complicated (goes without explanation i feel)

shrouded blackened/victim

mukuro’s body is covered and destroyed before any real investigation can be done. additionally, her killer is literally hidden, as the real junko had yet to make an appearance at that point.

the culprit themselves don’t know they did it! because of komaeda’s set up, chiaki throwing the poison bottle was pure luck, and nothing else.

we don’t even know who’s the victim and who’s the culprit for the entire trial, with kokichi’s body squished, and the eva not only hiding kaito, but allowing him to change his voice at will.

honorable mention: someone explodes

when the bombs around mukuro’s body are detonated, genocider is sent flying, but ends up being unharmed.

when komaeda blows up the dining hall/restaurant area, souda is caught up in the explosion, but he’s fine.

i don’t have anything for chapter six other than the big reveal bc other than that i think the similarities would be more in the themes than anything and. i am not putting myself through v3’s final trial again you can’t fucking make me

-She worries for you, mostly because she doesn't want you to get hurt. You're on her mind constantly.

-However, she's one of those girls who secretly enjoys when a boy fights for her (cue "Fight for Me" from Heathers the Musical).

-If you're in a bad mood, she'll sing to you! She knows all your favorite songs and knows you'll join in eventually.

Kyoko:

-She is the greatest backup you'd ever have. In trouble with the principal? She'll defend you. Fights with rivals? She will scare them with her intellect before you even begin.

-Kyoko doesn't necessarily condone you getting into trouble, but will at least show you how to do it without being caught.

-She actually helps you with cuts and bruises, putting bandages on you and the like. You've never seen such a caring expression on her before.

Celeste:

-She wouldn't ever say it to her face, but she thinks you're incredible. A talent like yours is full of action and drama, and she couldn't be happier to be a part of it.

-The two of you make quite the intimidating couple. If you cross one, you will definitely face the other's wrath.

-Sometimes she plays an active part in your shenanigans. "Let's make a bet, shall we?" She'll say, with a devious yet haughty grin.

Hina:

-Like Sayaka, she worries about you frequently. The only difference is she'll try to get herself involved to prevent you getting hurt!

-She does admire your spirit, though. Your determination is something she'd love to learn herself.

-Hina, when she knows you're feeling blue about something, will make dozens of donuts for you and bring them over to share. It does the trick every time, just like she says.

Sakura:

-Sakura does not condone needless violence or chaos. However, she understands that you usually have good intentions about it, so she tries to understand-- sometimes she'll even have your back in a tough situation!

-This is another true power couple. When each person will do anything to protect the other, it's a sight to behold.

-She will spar with you on occasion, and always has ice packs and cold drinks when you need them.

Junko (non-despair):

-Honestly, she thinks it's cool that you break rules and cause trouble. She'll help you sometimes, if she thinks it'll be fun.

-She has a way of persuading people, so she is ready to get you out of trouble. Though, she'll joke "Jeez, where would you be without me?" Before giving her trademark smile.

-Junko may like to cause trouble but she also wants you to be okay. As her partner in crime, you're incredibly important to her!

Mukuro:

-Unlike her sister, she doesn't like to involve herself in other people's problems. Though, she has a soft spot for you.

-Every once in a while, she'll suggest her tips on how to win a fight. She's a bit of a scary girlfriend, really.

-She's the protective type, but also loves to feel protected herself! It's why she loves being with you.

Toko:

-Initially she's a bit skittish around you, but she soon realizes that you're like all those bad-boy love interests she's read (and wrote) about.

-She loves that you're a rebel, and will talk you up to all of her classmates. You're the only thing she brags about!

-Toko will absolutely find inspiration from you. Her next novel features a rough around the edges but sweet on the inside mobster who falls for a quiet, unassuming journalist. How subtle, Toko.

•He would give you soft kisses and continue to hold you.

CHIHIRO FUJISAKI:

•Chihiro knew the feeling all too well, and he hated seeing you go through that.

•He would hug you tightly and just talk to you calmly.

•Similar to Leon, Mondo didn’t know anything about comforting someone either. But this man loved you so much, so he was going to do whatever he could.

•He would have you lay down on his chest as he wrapped his long arms around your body, trying to make you feel safe.

•He would probably try to make you dinner but fail miserably so he would order from your favorite fast food place instead.

•He would carry you around the house whenever he needed to do something, he didn’t want you to be alone during such a vulnerable time.

•If you needed space and didn’t want to have too much physical contact, he would sit not too far from you and tell you reassuring things.

•”Y/N just focus on my voice alright? You’re gonna be okay, you’re so damn strong and you can get through anything.”

•Mondo really loved you and just wanted you to be happy.

KIYOTAKA ISHIMARU:

•Taka was so worried about you when he saw you having a panic attack, he also felt incredibly guilty because he had been pushing you to get more homework done and he knew that that was a big reason why you were going through this right now.

•He would take any homework you were doing away from you and tell you how sorry he was for pushing it on you, he was very emotional in this moment.

•”Y-Y/N, I’m so sorry, I never intended to overwhelm you with all of this. Please let me make it up to you.”

•He couldn’t help himself, he began to cry.

•He quickly calmed himself down however, because he knew that you needed him in that moment.

•He wasn’t the most affectionate boyfriend, but he was very determined to help you calm down.

•He would hold you in his arms and rub your back very gently.

•He treated you as if you were some sort of fragile antique, he made sure to handle you with extreme care.

•Taka was willing to do anything to make you feel safe and happy because you were the first person who has ever loved him this way, and he never thought that he would find anyone who felt that way about him, so you were extremely precious to him.

YASUHIRO HAGAKURE:

•Hiro was a massive goofball who almost never took anything seriously, so when you began to have a panic attack in front of him, he was extremely nervous and didn’t know what to do.

•He would initially try to make you laugh because he didn’t know what else to do at the time.

•”Look Y/N! My crystal ball says that there’s a 60% chance that i’ll kiss you soon! *smooch* OH WOW!!! SPOOKY!!!”

•If that doesn’t work, he will internally panic, he didn’t know what he could do to help you.

•After a bit of time, he would sit down and have you sit in his lap.

•He would just hold you for a while, he would constantly ask if he was holding you okay because this boy was NERVOUS.

•Hiro didn’t want to mess up because he loved you so much, but truth be told, he was a lot better at comforting you than he would think.

BYAKUYA TOGAMI:

•Out of every guy on this list, Byakuya is definitely the most out of his element here. He didn’t even know where to begin.

•He would start by taking your smaller hand in his larger one and rub the back of yours with his thumb in a gentle fashion.

•After a while, he would have you pick out a book.

•When you picked a book, he would pull you into his lap and read it very calmly.

•He wanted to take you away from whatever was making you anxious, and seeing you like this killed him.

•When he finished reading he would just hold you in his arms.

•He wasn’t the best with words but he would try to say at least something to calm your nerves.

•”I love you Y/N... I sincerely apologize if my efforts are insufficient in helping you.”

•Byakuya was much sweeter to you than normal for the next week or so, he wanted to make sure that he didn’t accidentally upset you or anything.

MAKOTO NAEGI:

•Makoto was heartbroken when he saw you having a panic attack.

•He hated seeing you in such a miserable state.

•He was 100% determined to help you through this. He loved you so much and didn’t want to see you in any pain.

•He would give you cuddles, he would hold you or let you hold him, whatever you would prefer.

•He would spoil you with a bunch of presents and treat you like royalty.

•If you started crying, he would whisper to you and let you know that everything would be okay.

✘ The way she tries to screw over Makoto when the game had just begun. Like wait and see what happens before screwing over such a great guy? Leon didn’t deserve it either.

Leon Kuwata

♡ His voice actor (English), and how real and human his execution was in that we all would be so scared and irrational. It was just so iconic and sad as it’s our first introduction to the death in this series and we all think: “shit, this is real... they are really killing these kids.” I didn’t think it would be that brutal, just seeing his body limp at the end with the haunting music.

✘ His design is disgusting. I hate how he looks.

Chihiro Fujisaki

♡ So innocent, so kind, so intelligent

✘ Shouldn’t have been killed for such a stupid reason, also they did Mondo dirty with that motive for killing as well. Just a mess. As for the actual character, Chihiro cries right off the bat when you do your introductions and that was kind of annoying to me personally.

Mondo Oowada

♡ He has a lot of respect, understanding and emotions for someone I thought would be a hard-ass douche biker.

✘ The worst motive to kill ever in a game where you know you’re getting executed if you’re found out. Like you’d be extra careful and that’s his reason to kill? Lazy writing.

Celestia Ludenberg

♡ Bad bitch energy and her goth lolita design.

✘ Manipulation and double murder. Bad bitch energy only goes so far. Confidence is different then selfishness. Also, of all the chapter 3 triple murders... the worst motive to kill.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru

♡ Emotions: secure in his masculinity, able to cry, show emotions, and apologize when he’s wrong. He’s funny and likable.

✘ The Ishimondo white hair thing was stupid. Taka was fine on his own.

Hifumi Yamada

♡ Writing takes talent, fan fiction as much as any other style or genre. Also the talent of his voice actor (who also voices Kiibo/K1-B0).

✘ Literally everything else about him.

Sakura Oogami

♡ I love everything about her. I love her wisdom, loyalty, design, voice etc. Just step on me, mother.

✘ Why the hell would she ever agree to be a spy even if it meant the end of her dojo? I just don’t think she would do that rationally because she isn’t selfish. The others would suffer for her spying. She remedies this with redemption in her letter in chapter 4 but still she should’ve said no off the bat. Everyone had something to lose. The dojo wasn’t worth spying for monokuma. Also I just don’t think she would commit suicide. She can’t help the remaining students survive and redeem herself truly if she’s dead.

Kyoko Kirigiri

♡ Bad bitch energy, calm and collected when I could never be.

✘ Especially in future arc of the anime, damn can you show some emotion please? Through your words and expressions not just your actions. Sure she was willing to “die” for Makoto but like I just want more emotion from her sometimes, even in THH.

Makoto Naegi

♡ So pure. I Love Bryce Papenbrook. Makoto reminds me of Sora and I love his design.

✘ In THH I didn’t mind his innocence but in the Danganronpa 3 future arc anime, when people started straight up abusing him and accusing him, he needed to grow a little backbone.

Byakuya Togami

♡ Love my dad, king shit, also love how over the progression of the games and animes he becomes a little more kind to his friends.

✘ Why the fuck did he mess with Chihiro’s body? Just so cruel and disrespectful.

Yasuhiro Hagakure

♡ Seeing the protagonist be a little less naive, innocent and positive than Makoto was a refreshing change, although I loved Makoto. I liked Hajime’s cynicism and expressions that sometimes just screamed “this shit again, huh?”

✘ I enjoy the way Izuru looks but I hate him as a character. He is sexy to look at but Hajime is just a better character overall

Teruteru Hanamura

♡ His love for his family and mother especially is so cute and heart breaking if you know the full story.

✘ He needs to know when to dial it back and quit with the perversions. And no it’s not just how he looks, Miu needs to chill at times, too.

Twogami

♡ I feel like he genuinely cares about his friends, just hides it well

✘ His death felt like a cop out and poorly written. It just didn’t sit right with me. Also his design is disgusting to me, his outfit and such.

Mahiru Koizumi

♡ Loyal to her close friends.

✘ I just have no interest in her as a character and I find her boring.

Peko Pekoyama

♡ Loyalty. Loyalty is something I value very highly in every form of relationship. Peko is also very hot.

✘ Come on girl... I know how you were raised but you should’ve known Fuyuhiko didn’t think of you as just a tool and you two should’ve expressed your true feelings long ago. Like even in secret. How do you live like this? Also I feel like killing Mahiru could’ve been avoided with a calm talk.

Ibuki Mioda

♡ Cute design, positive vibes.

✘ Cringe sometimes in the way she talks.

Hiyoko Saionji

♡ Beautiful character design and some very good insults and snarky remarks at times.

✘ Just irredeemably mean and annoying. Even when you do her free time events she is just so annoying.

♡ I like her design as well as her hair, expressions, sprites and clothing.

✘ I hate her. I just hate her whether she’s in her true psycho form or timid stuttering form. She’s just annoying in my opinion.

Nekomaru Nidai

♡ So supportive, can hold my drink at a party. Respects everyone and wants the best for them.

✘ Bro Mechamaru was a stupid plot point. I just couldn’t stand looking at him and couldn’t take it seriously. Still sad when he died though.

Chiaki Nanami

♡ From chapter 5 of sdr2 on she is impossible not to love if you didn’t already. Just the selflessness, the sadness of the reveal and execution, how she returns to help Hajime at the end???? I love her. I love her hair design, color palette, her personality, everything.

✘ I’m bitter and miserable about her being the only class member to actually die (the despair arc anime) also her falling asleep at random times is kind of odd and she doesn’t seem to be like that later on in the game??? Like it seemed like a cheap joke but not actually who she is? Hard for me to explain.

Gundham Tanaka

♡ King shit, couldn’t praise him enough. He’s sexy, loves animals, and is funny as hell sometimes. His voice actor is a saint and a cool dude and I named my guinea pigs after the Dark Devas (yes I know they are hamsters in the games.)

✘ Come on dude. I get that being from Hell and magic and having evil powers is your shtick, but we all know that you and Nekomaru sacrificed yourselves so the others wouldn’t starve. We know you care about your classmates. There comes a time when it’s time to let personas and facades fade and be true to your heart. I just feel like him denying he cared at the end hurt. We all know he cared. I didn’t like how he was haughty until the end. He deserved better. I love him.

Nagito Komaeda

♡ I love him so much. So cunning and intelligent, always a step ahead. And he’s big sexy.

✘ Him killing himself in chapter 5 hurt me so bad I was like in denial for days. Also hate how Bryce Papenbrook gives him a raspy stoner psycho voice in the game then a light airy higher-pitched voice in the despair arc anime. It just bothers me. I love his voice still but the inconsistency just hurts my OCD

Sonia Nevermind

♡ I love that she’s so interested in her passions and love her feelings for Gundham

✘ Her outfit and bow are atrocious. Also why didn’t she start liking and talking to Gundham sooner on? Their romance bloomed late and it would’ve made for a better chapter 4 ending if they were a bit closer.

Kazuichi Souda

♡ Cool design and outfit, love his voice (also voices Kaito in V3) and his backstory is relatable at times. He’s also very human in that he’s scared a lot of the time or insecure or blames others in panicked situations. It’s not always a good thing but it’s human and realistic.

✘ Gosh he can be so annoying. Sometimes flirting or whining too much is well... too much.

Akane Owari

♡ Strong-willed and definitely someone I would be friends with

✘ What the hell is her outfit? Gymnasts and athletes don’t wear that shit. Stop objectifying her when it doesn’t even make the product or plot better. Like there’s absolutely no point to making her dress that way. I was a gymnast for 15 years. Even those who do parkour (which Akane seems to do more often than actual gymnastics in the anime and game) don’t wear what she wears. Also she’s underrated.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu

♡ I love him. He’s the DR character I’m most like out of all the games and anime. Tenko is a close second. I think he’s adorable, love his character arc, development, redemption, and love his voice.

✘ In the anime/despair arc, Fuyuhiko is not done justice. He doesn’t get enough lines, has a different voice actor, just doesn’t give off the same vibes.

Izuru Kamakura

♡ Sexy man long hair good.

✘ Boring character. I wish he were just Hajime.

Kaede Akamatsu

♡ Loyalty and leadership are such attractive qualities in her. Also she faced her death with such class and dignity and I respect her because I could never.

✘ Some of the voice lines Erika does for her are just weird and cringe. Just random moans or grunts... I don’t know it’s like when Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 (also voiced by Erika) makes suggestive noises as well. Just grinds my gears. Also hate her outfit down to the hair pins.

Shuichi Saihara

♡ I love his nasally voice. I love his design and he’s so adorable. I love how emotional and compassionate he can be. He ties with Makoto for favorite protag of mine.

✘ That sprite where he sniffs his hand. And his ugly ass hat.

Rantarou Amami

♡ Sexy man, sexy voice, sexy piercings

✘ Ugly outfit, and wasted potential

Ryoma Hoshi

♡ I respect him and feel bad for his outlook on life and for how poorly he views himself. I love his little hat as well and he’s the first “different styled” character (Hifumi, Bandai, Teruteru) that I liked the design of.

✘ I hate when he says “got a long ways to go,” it’s overused and annoying, and wish he gave himself more credit. Also hate that when you first meet him he warns you that he’s killed people and is dangerous to be around. Come on buddy, you know you wouldn’t hurt your friends. Stop pushing them away.

Kirumi Tojo

♡ Competence, well rounded, skillful

✘ Boring as hell. I wouldn’t waste one free time event on her.

Angie Yonaga

♡ Dark skin, super cute, love her talent as an artist myself.

✘ Gives religious people a bad name and is super manipulative which I hate.

♡ I relate to her and feel bad when she’s misunderstood. She’s a good person deep down. Also love her sprites.

♡ I’m in love with this man. Long hair, voice, mystery, mask, intelligence, passion, talent.

✘ He definitely was a victim of abuse and a lot of people refuse to see that and just hate him. Team Danganronpa should’ve given him a redemption arc where he realized his sister abused him and changed.

Gonta Gokuhara

♡ I love his design except for his suit. Also he’s so cute and naive. I cried for his trail.

✘ No need talk like caveman. Better way to do this.

Kokichi Ouma

♡ Like Nagito, I value his intelligence and crazy cunning.

♡ She has her hilarious moments and her death surprised me and was sad.

✘ Sometimes she lacks basic empathy, i.e. calling Tenko “Tencrotch” when she just fucking died.

♡ Amazing character development. Didn’t see her surviving until the end at the start. Also her love and passion for Kaito.

✘ “Do you wanna die?” gets old.

Kaito Momota

♡ Just the overall best bro you could ever have.

✘ Has some toxic masculinity issues and anger issues.

K1-B0

♡ Pretty much everything about him. His design, his attitude and personality, especially how amazing and cool he is chapter 5 onward, his execution made me so sad. He’s so innocent and funny without trying.

✘ When you do his free time events he’s very arrogant and just talks about himself a lot... it seems odd and not similar to the Kiibo we see throughout the game.

Himiko Yumeno

♡ Super cute design, love her voice and “Nyeh...” and her sprites. Her character development is great as well.

✘ Why did they take so long to make her important and likable?

Tsumugi Shirogane

♡ An excellent and well hidden reveal

✘ I hate her. So annoying, from the voice to the references and her personality.

Hello dango rango fandom. I’ve had some bad experiences here before (not on this account), so I just wanna say my piece and then dip. Solely a positivity post here, but don’t start shit in the replies if you don’t see your favorite stuff mentioned. 

- Case 4 in the first game was truly top-tier, even if I figured out the twist pretty quickly. It’s filled with wonderful character moments for everyone, but Aoi shines especially. 

- Sakura is my favorite character from this series. She’s one of my favorite characters in basically anything ever. She’s loyal to a fault and truly looks out for everyone, even if she is a traitor in the beginning. Her FTEs are some of my favorite in the series and her relationships with the others help her personality shine. Sakura also doesn’t fall into the ‘strong-female-character’ trope of demeaning other women or solely being buff and that’s her entire character. She offers to help others get stronger, has moments where she’s extremely emotional and shows ‘feminine’ traits, and is one of the nicest characters in all of the games. God I love Sakura, she’s so fucking under-appreciated.

- Sakuraoi is my favorite ship in the series. The WLW truly triumph with this one. I shouldn’t even have to explain why, it’s about the strong friendship and genuine affection for one another. It’s about the loyalty and being extremely comfortable about each other. It’s about being arguably the most developed relationship (platonic or romantic) in the entire series, to the point where their extremely close friendship is literally a FUCKING PLOT POINT IN THE 4TH CHAPTER. I love them so much. If you draw them getting married and put Sakura in a dress, thank you so much I adore you. 

- Junko is a great antagonist. Have I gotten tired of her over time? Yes.  But she’s a phenomenal villain for the 1st game. Her various sprites are iconic, her VAs do such great jobs every single time, and she’s just so fucking evil. It feels great to take her down a peg. 

- I love Kyoko. Like, an elegant detective who appears cold and later warms up to you?? With a mysterious past and absolute dedication to her craft?? Plus a really good character design?? Sign me up! Her dynamic with Makoto is what made Makoto grow on me. I typically hate protagonists who are intentionally designed to be kinda bland in order to help the player insert themselves into the story, but Makoto’s interactions with Kyoko is what helped his optimism and devotion to helping those around him really come to the forefront. She can also be unintentionally funny sometimes, with how vague she is being simultaneously endearing and exasperating. 

- Stop calling Sayaka a snake. Just, fucking stop please. Like, how the fuck was she supposed to know about the class trials?? She tried to kill a dude (which can be said for almost 1/2 of the characters in the series), but I personally relate to her motive and find it to be one of the most justified in the entire series (Sakura’s being the most justified but that’s barely a fucking murder). IDK why she tried to frame Makoto either, imo it’s just bad writing, but she definitely wasn’t just planning on doing this from the start. Like, she was friendly even before the murder-shit was revealed and, until she saw her motive video, Sayaka was still just a generally kind person who I think had pure-ish intentions. I don’t even like Sayaka that much, but stop acting like she’s the worst person in this game, let alone this SERIES. 

- I vibe with Chihiro, because I too am weak and want to be stronger. 

- The character designs are all pretty good, though that’s a given in Danganronpa. I particularly like Sakura, Celeste, Chihiro, and Kyoko’s, though that might be my lesbian brain coming into play.

helloooo, it's that one anon again with another song request/challenge thing. same prompt as my last ask but with the sing grow as we go by ben platt, please? also a random question: what are your thoughts on listening to classical music or like music that doesn't have words?

Hello again! Sorry it’s taken so long with this one - I wasn’t on my laptop at all yesterday and only had one or two chances to listen to the song and I wanted to do a good job!

I’ll answer your random question first before I go into what I wrote. The short answer is yes, I listen to classical/wordless music. I like a song to tell me a story as I listen to it and I have a few wordless songs in my D&D playlist for my OC. So long as I feel an emotion when I listen to a song, I don’t really mind if it has words or not!

And now for Grow As We Go. Well. This is a song, huh? It’s so freaking lovely! Another one I would never have thought to listen to without you, anon, and has made it into both my D&D playlist and my Broken Arrow playlist (yes, songs go into multiple playlists for me!)

So with this, I could have made it heartbreaking because the song is quite sad. But I decided against it and went with something more...uplifting, I guess? And yeah, I went nearly 2K (I just can’t do snippets I’m so sorry...) and I stuck with Ishileon for this because I could imagine Leon singing it to Taka. And this has taken me 4 hours to write...non stop. Haaaa...

I hope you like this, and please do send me more and more songs. I LOVE this challenge and find it so interesting to write this way. 

The cool evening air wisps around Kiyotaka as he looks out over the horizon. Here, above what seems like the rest of the world, he has never felt more at ease. Never felt more comfortable in a place he never thought he would ever wind up. Because in every vision he ever had of his future, he never saw himself in the American wilderness.

He had always had a plan; get himself through school, then college, then university. Get himself into politics. Build up his reputation and popularity. Show the world that the Ishimaru’s are not the monsters that they’ve been portrayed to be and become the best Prime Minister that Japan has ever seen.

For the longest of times, Kiyotaka was fully invested in this plan. The backlash of his grandfather’s downfall has weighed heavily on his parents for as long as he can remember. Their name dragged through the mud, the innocent victims of merciless mockery, working round the clock as a policeman or a midwife just to make ends meet and do what’s best for their son.

So of course, he wanted to give back to them. He promised, back at the tender age of six when he heard his mother crying one night after Prime Minister Ishimaru fell from glory, that he would do what his grandfather could not. He stomped down the stairs and shocked his parents with the announcement, giving up any chance at a normal childhood right there and then.

And it was worth it. He made sure it was worth it. Sure, he had no friends. Sure, he was bullied relentlessly. Sure, he came home battered and bruised a few times a month. But it was worth it because he knew that he would be his family’s saviour in the end.

But things started to change when he started Hope’s Peak.

It wasn’t a big change. Not at first. It started off with friendships. With Mondo and Chihiro, Makoto and Hina, Hiro and Hifumi. People who seemed to see past his name, past his constructed personality, and tap into the real boy. And he found himself having fun for the first time in nearly a lifetime.

And then Leon Kuwata entered his life.

He’d always been on the side-lines, a constant background noise that Kiyotaka admittedly gave very little attention. For the first year and a half of being his classmate, Leon spent his time chasing girls and living it large. Kiyotaka would often head to get himself a glass of water in the night only to see the boy be carried back to his room, blind drunk in the arms of Hiro or Mondo or whatever upperclassman he happened to befriend that day. He seemed to have no regards for his education, his health, or anything whatsoever and that irritated Kiyotaka beyond belief.

It wasn’t until Kiyotaka stumbled across the boy in the toilets one lunchtime, huddled into the furthest stall and crying into his arms, that the real changes started. For the first time, he saw the redhead for who he truly was; a frightened young boy that had built a reputation for himself that was becoming harder and harder to maintain. And Kiyotaka had just happened to stumble on what was one of many moments of weakness that had plagued the boy ever since he set foot in this school.

The two became inseparable in a matter of weeks. Kiyotaka vowed to be Leon’s confidante whilst Leon promised to calm himself down and start taking his life seriously. And he did really well. It was inevitably that he would slip up every now and again because old habits are hard to break. But Kiyotaka would never judge him, would never scold him; only hold him close as he sobbed and promised it would never happen again.

Their first kiss wasn’t exactly planned. Nor was it the most appropriate, Kiyotaka has to admit to himself when he looks back at it. Leon had relapsed after a rough day and gotten blind drunk, calling Kiyotaka in a panic when his senses kicked in, sobbing in his arms and begging his forgiveness. And as normal, Kiyotaka had held him, offered gentle words of comfort, running his fingers through the boy’s hair.

And then he kissed him.

He would like to blame it on the way the moonlight hit Leon’s flushed cheeks that evening. Or maybe how his eyes sparkled like glitter as he finally stared up at him with a wet smile. He’d also like to think that Leon made the first move; that when he leant forward to nuzzle against his nose it was a silent invitation. But in all honesty, none of those were to blame. Kiyotaka had already fallen for Leon long before that night and even though the boy had melted into his embrace the second their lips met, Kiyotaka knew that he had completely taken advantage of his drunkenness and acted on his own accord.

The I like you that followed was disregarded as intoxication. Kiyotaka made sure he stored that away in a locked box in his heart, never to reopen. Although a few days later, it was smashed into pieces as Leon initiated the follow up kiss halfway through their study session and out of seemingly nowhere. Red cheeks and flustered apologies, a heart-to-heart and more I like you’s. And then a promise never to let go followed by soft touches and passionate kisses.

And they didn’t. They stuck together through school and graduation, through college and graduation, through the application to university to study politics. Leon stood by him every step of the way; as his biggest cheerleader, his shoulder to cry on when things got tough, with unconditional love and a heart of gold. They were happy, happier than they’d ever been, and would have been content carrying on as they were for the rest of their lives.

But it was Kiyotaka who changed.

Sat in his politic lecture one afternoon, something shifted in Kiyotaka’s mind. As he stared at the words on the screen and listened to the droning voice of his tutor, Kiyotaka realised that this wasn’t what he wanted. The plan that he’d followed for his entire life, the one that would restore his family name, crumbled in front of him like chalk into dust. And all that was left was a hole of uncertainty and endless possibilities.

He wonders to this day if he should have told his father first. After his mother had passed away, his father had put his everything into supporting Kiyotaka’s dream. So surely he should have been the first to know that things had changed. And there are days, nights when he’s lying awake and staring at the sky, where he feels a small twinge of regret at not telling him. Because he thinks that if he had, things might be different.

But those days are few and far between.

It was Leon he told first. The second the lesson was over, he went straight over to their shared apartment and told him straight: I don’t want this anymore. Politics, education, the little apartment they rented so close to the university. It all felt so wrong all in the space of a split second at 2.48pm on Thursday 3rd April.

And he needed to go. Where? He didn’t know. To do what? Also a mystery. But he just knew that he need to get away from it all and that everything needed to change.

He expected Leon to cry. To beg him to stay, tell him to reconsider giving up his dream and to stop and think just for a moment. But he didn’t. Instead he took hold of his hands and said the five most beautiful words Kiyotaka has ever heard:

Then we’ll do it together.

It wasn’t easy. Dropping out of university was harder than Kiyotaka could have ever expected. He had to give back all the fees he owed, chipping into Leon’s hard-earned income to bail them out of tough situations. There were highs and there were lows, months of living on cold beans and bread. But they made it through together.

And then Leon suggested they go to America.

As Kiyotaka was still unemployed and Leon’s salary was barely keeping them afloat, the idea was ludicrous. They were constantly rescued financially by their families, who surprisingly supported Kiyotaka’s decision to change his entire life, so how could they possibly go travelling in their position? But neither boy could deny the alluring call of a fresh start. Soul searching, Leon called it. And Kiyotaka fell for it hook, line and sinker.

After a year and a half of research, of doing odd jobs here and there to raise enough money, of buying all the gear they could possibly need, of working out and getting in shape, they knew where they were going. The Appalachian Trail; the longest trail in the world. Five to seven months of travel if they wanted to do it all in one go. And they did want to do it all in one go.

So, after getting the blessing of their families, they quit their jobs and headed off. Jetted halfway across the world with no one but each other. And they never looked back.

It’s been hard, Kiyotaka muses to himself as he gazes out at the breathtaking sights around him. Because as beautiful as the trail is, it’s also brutal. They’ve spent a lot of nights cold and hungry after misjudging how far the next campsite is. They’ve slept in poor conditions in a tent that they’ve had to replace a couple of times. They’ve stumbled across the local wildlife; sometimes a little closer to them than they felt comfortable. And they’ve had to ask their families to help them out with their finances on more occasions that either of them would have liked.

But as the night falls around them, as the orange hue of the sunset dims and the blanket of midnight blue drapes over the sky, as his gaze lands on the back of the boy in front of him, Kiyotaka knows he wouldn’t change this for the world. They’ve seen things that they never would have done back in Japan. They’ve met people from all over the world, learned valuable skills that would have been useless in their old life. They’ve done so much that Kiyotaka never thought he could ever have done and impressed himself on so many different occasions in so many different ways.  

And it’s all because of Leon.

Stood on the edge of a cliff, the boy has no idea that Kiyotaka’s eyes trail down his body; outlining his relaxed posture to etch this moment permanently into his memory. His hair has grown out and only the tips are red now; the natural brunette strands pulled back into a messy pony tail. The small beard he once supported now long gone and replaced by dark stubble; caked with dirt and grime from the tiring day they’ve just had. The muscles he has always had are larger now; more toned and pronounced even when he doesn’t try.

Leon Kuwata is not the boy he fell in love with anymore. That’s undeniable given how much he’s changed. But as Kiyotaka wraps his arms around him, breathing in the scent of sweat and dirt that has become his favourite smell in the world, he knows he would give everything for the man who leans back into his touch.

“You okay, baby?”

“Hmm.”

“Ready for tomorrow?”

Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Nothing is written in the stars, nothing is set in stone. That’s what his life always used to look like; unbending, unchanging and terribly lonely. But as Kiyotaka smiles into Leon’s neck, as he presses a kiss onto the flesh and his fingers slip against the palm of his lover, he has never felt more comfortable with the unknown. Because at the end of the day…

“So long as you’re with me, I’m ready for anything.”

What about headcanons of Kokichi, Shuichi, K1-B0, Makoto, and Nagito (separately) with a Fem!S/O who is just completely scared of men at first, due to past trauma? So whenever they move close to her without warning her first, she jumps back and shields herself with her arms, etc., because she's just so scared that they're going to hurt her? You don't have to if you don't want to! Just thought that fluffy angst always soothes the soul, right? XD ~ 🥀

Okay, gather round followers, it's time for Auntie Nebula to tell a true story about herself.

Just last year, I got out of a very messy on-off relationship that had been going on since my freshman year, so for 3 years. Let's just call him B. In the beginning, B was very kind to me, he was very chivalrous, just like how a boyfriend should be...but then things changed. He felt entitled to my body. It got worse when my parents announced their divorce that year, and instead of his comfort, I got him complaining that I wasn't paying attention to him, and he even cut himself over it and showed me the pictures.

After that, I felt obligated to do whatever he said, or else he would bodily harm himself again. That meant doing sexual things I never wanted to do. He cried anytime that I said no, saying he felt bad and was the boyfriend on Earth, and that he was going to kill himself after i left his house, etc. so there was no saying no. I wasn't allowed to say anything about it or yell either, otherwise he would yell at me and call me names. He also threatened to tell my friends about our experiences multiple times, which is something that wasn't really a viable option since I could feel that they would judge me and it was practically against my will anyways. Not to mention, on multiple occassions where I said I didn't want to, he hit me. And if I said anything or tried to leave, he again used the claim that he was going to hurt himself again.

I was stuck in this situation. I could talk all day about how messy this relationship was and I have plenty more to add, but that's the general jist of it. Anyways, I identify with this request very personally, because I'm scared of men and their touches now. I'm scared to get into relationships, I'm scared of affection. I know I'm going to be terrified the next time i date and they want to have sex. The worst part? I wasn't believed that he did all that, because he's "sweet" and "nice". No, my friend thought I was just trying to make him look bad for no reason.

However, I made a promise to another friend of mine that I would try to heal and get better, so that brings me to this account. Writing NSFW scenarios for the first time in 3 years was extremely difficult for me, but I got through it. Much like Chihiro, I'm tired of running away and doing nothing. I want to get better. I need to get better. It's not fair to me if I don't heal. Why should he get off scot-free, while I'm constantly miserable? That's not fair, and I know it. So while writing may be extremely difficult, and they may take a while, I know I can get through it. I don't want to be that person anymore.

The Halloween Festival Photo

Hey hey hey, long text post ahead! You’ve been warned!

I know I missed Halloween by uhhh two days (SORRY) but I finally recovered and cleaned up the part where Mondo receives the photo from Monokuma so that it now includes ALL of the THH cast instead of just a few! You’ll get to know what their Halloween costume of choice is (and some perhaps very implied Celesgiri because I can’t help myself). I know that @tgapa​ really wanted to see this, so here you go dude!!! Sorry it’s so late :’)

Also, I put some gifs in to separate my writing from word vomit. Hope that helps a little!

Mondo knew that he shouldn’t reasonably trust anything that Monokuma had touched, but pure curiosity was much too strong of a force to resist. He grabbed the paper- which upon closer inspection, was actually a photograph- and examined it. What he found made his eyes widen in pure shock.

Inside the photograph were his 15 classmates, all participating in what appeared to be some sort of school festival together. Probably a halloween festival, based on how they were dressed. Aoi was some sort of mermaid, Hifumi appeared to be some... pink cherub thing(???) that he vaguely recognized from the anime Yamada had liked, and Leon was fittingly a lion. There was even that Mukuro Ikusaba girl up in the top dressed as Princess Daisy chatting with a Princess Peach that kind of looked like Junko, who was unfortunately blocked from sight by Ikusaba’s prop parasol. Yasuhiro was busily annoying Byakuya with a paintbrush- Hiro had clearly dressed up as Bob Ross, going so far as to splash paint all over his costume for an authentic effect. Togami was trying to stay as far away from his messy-looking classmate as possible, likely trying to not get anything on his Beetlejuice costume. The suit fit Byakuya perfectly- he must have had it custom-tailored for the occasion.

Something else caught his eye, too- Chihiro. They were happily waving at whoever was behind the camera, proudly showing off their bright green superhero costume. Next to them was another unfortunate murder victim, Sayaka Maizono. The Ultimate Pop Idol must have a good sense of humor, because she had chosen to dress up as Hatsune Miku, going so far as to dye her hair a shocking teal for the occasion. Makoto had also gone the technicolor route; He was dressed like he had stepped out of an 80’s teen anti-drug poster, complete with neon pants and wacky sunglasses.

In typical Touko fashion, she looked like she didn’t even want to be there. Fukawa had put the bare minimum for her “costume” (if it could even be considered that), simply wearing a zebra onesie with ears and a tail. Hey, at least she wouldn’t be cold, unlike Sakura. The taller girl had chosen to wear a revealing cheerleader costume that showed off many of her well-deserved muscles. Mondo noticed (admittedly with a little bit of a chuckle) that Aoi’s eyes in the photo were FIRMLY glued to Sakura’s abs.

He scanned through the photo as fast as he could, trying to find any evidence of himself in there. There’s no way that everyone had lied to him. They couldn’t have all known each other before this, could they? This had to be a lie!

Just when he was starting to panic that he had been played for a fool the entire time, he found the only thing that could have taken some of his building suspicion away; Kiyotaka Ishimaru. He was in the bottom left corner of the photo giving Celestia a piggyback ride, much to the apparent disdain (and was that jealousy?) of a Ghostbuster-suited Kyouko. Taka and Celeste had apparently gone with some sort of couples themed costume together. They were both wearing similar-looking gothic vampire outfits, complete with matching pointed fangs that they were showing off to the camera with wide smiles. The costumes definitely suited the two of them with their matching porcelain skin, ruby eyes, and jet-black hair. (Now that Mondo really thought about it, this was also the first time that he’d ever seen Taka wearing anything other than his school uniform, too.) So the whole class had celebrated Halloween together? When? And since when were Kiyotaka and Celestia even FRIENDS? He could only ever remember her making snide comments at him. They probably hadn’t even really had a full conversation with each other.

Sakura and their assistant (and fellow mangaka) Risapaso were interviewed together for Creator’s Voice by Rikiya Kurimata. I don’t think Sakura’s ever done an interview so this was a surprise. Sakura talks a bit about aiming to become a mangaka and all things Yugami.

As this is a Yugami-centric blog, I’m only going to translate the questions and answers related to either the series or Sakura.

Apologies for any mistakes made (there are bound to be some), they are not my intent.

(Note: The interviewer’s name is listed as his nickname 仕掛け番長 but screw it, I’m just gonna call him by his real name. And since I have no idea what gender either Sakura or Risapaso are I’m just gonna use “they” as the pronoun.)

Jun Sakura ✖ Risapaso Interview: Connected by Yugami-kun

A love of drawing since childhood

Rikiya Kurimata: Alright, first question, what made each of you decide you wanted to become a mangaka? Sakura-sensei, you can start, if you please.

Jun Sakura: There wasn’t a particular event that made me want to do it but I’ve liked drawing ever since kindergarten. That never changed and in elementary school, I’d draw manga all over my notebooks.

RK: You were drawing original stuff from the start?!

JS: It was nothing that spectacular, just stuff like copying Doraemon. I remember doing the same with other manga I liked in my later years of elementary school.

RK: Did you like making your own stories back then?

JS: ............Probably, I guess?

RK: That was a long pause (laughs).

RK: What was it like when you were aiming to become a mangaka?

JS: I worked a side job in my hometown at the time. I’d get home from work dead tired and fall asleep before even drawing manga (laughs). After saving up some money from working, I quit my job and started working as an assistant for a mangaka who was publishing in a monthly magazine in my area. As a monthly assistant, you really need to have another job or else you don’t have many days where you’re actually working, so my living expenses were tight at the time but I figured I’d draw manga while living off my savings.

JS: I submitted my work to a competition and even though I didn’t win, I got a call from an editor at Shogakukan who wanted to work with me. After that I was told, “Draw whatever you want” and what I came up with ended up getting selected. It was decided that I’d debut so I moved to Tokyo and got to draw a number of oneshots while working as an assistant for a weekly magazine but I just couldn’t think of a storyboard for a series no matter how much I tried. I drew my last idea thinking I’d go back home if it didn’t get accepted. That was Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai.

RK: Alright, thank you! Next, Risapaso-san, please.

RK: Risapaso-san is currently also an assistant to you, Sakura-san. How’s their work?

JS: They’re very dependable and always draw up these awesome backgrounds for me. It makes my art look so much better (laughs)! They’re a real pro and very reliable.

Risapaso: You flatter me.

RK: I think a lot of people aren’t aware of what assistants do - could you fill us in?

RP: I guess you can say we help give form to the what the author envisions. Sakura-sensei basically gives me a drawing as a rough guideline and using that as a base, I draw in the details.

RK: Ah, so you have to be able to read what the author wants and help them complete the drawing! That takes the skill of a professional!

JS: Yes. I'll ask them to spruce a panel up for me and they’ll give me a draw up a really nice backdrop for me.

RK: Sakura-san, what do you think of Risapaso-san’s series, Garyayama Poyomi no Kataomoi?

JS: The black humor and twists are really great! Whether it’s being comedic or serious, it surprises me, like, “That’s how it plays out?!” It betrays my expectations in a good way and the developments are so engaging. Even when the mood becomes serious, it’s well-balanced so I have nothing but glowing thoughts after reading it. Likewise, even when the story gets dark and heavy, there’s always a bit of comedy afterwards. I really like how it’s able to flip the mood back like that. I’m eager to see what happens next.

RK: And how about your thoughts on Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai?

RP: I love it. I really like Yugami for how he’s the complete opposite of your typical shounen manga protagonist - acting not for the sake of those around him but for himself.

RK: For sure. When Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai first came out, there weren’t many protagonists like Yugami. I think as the series got popular, we’ve seen an increase in them. How did you come up with Yugami-kun?

JS: It was born from a conversation I had with my editor. We were talking about people that were oddballs yet could also be strangely likable and that’s when I realized there are actually tons of people like that all around me, myself included. I took a bunch of those different aspects, pieced them all together bit-by-bit and made it into a manga.

RK: Wow, from a random chat like that?! When the first volume (of Yugami-kun) came out, my bookstore colleagues talked about it a lot. They were surprised at how well it sold. I think it really changed our image of a shounen manga protagonist and because you modeled the characters after people you know, that might be why a lot of the characters feel so real.

RK: And do you use Twitter too, Sakura-san?

JS: I do, but I’m no good at social media. I never know what to tweet. I've been like this since my student days so I’m probably just not suited for it. Yugami-kun is being rerun on Sunday Webry right now so I use Twitter to get the series out there while adding some of my own commentary on it. But I’m so stuck on what to say that it takes about three hours just to write three lines...

RK: Three hours?! That time ought to go to working on your manuscript, no? (laughs) But since you’re serializing in a magazine, you must get some fan mail, correct?

JS: Yes! Getting fan mail is so encouraging. I feel bad that I can’t return the favor with anything but new year’s cards... But I treasure every letter I get. When I’m feeling tired, I read them over again and they cheer me right up. Some senders have been writing to me since they were students and as time’s passed, they’ve sent me letters telling me they’ve gotten married. It feels like I’ve really gotten to know these people through their letters.

RK: Well then, Sakura-san, is there a particular chapter of Yugami-kun that sticks out in your mind?

JS: There was a moment when I was drawing up the draft storyboards and felt like I finally understood the characters. So in Yugami-kun, there’s an arc where the hero and heroine sever ties with one another. I wrote it without deciding how the two of them would make up. All I knew was that it would end with them reconciling and I forged ahead without deciding how it’d happen. But once I started drafting the storyboard, the chapter just wouldn’t go the way I wanted it to. Even if the story ended there, it wasn’t over for the characters. Characters were saying things they’d never say and things just didn’t feel right.

JS: I have a habit of cutting up parts of my storyboard drafts and reassembling them and in that mountain of papers was the heroine’s smile. Suddenly it hit me, “Ah, this is it!” and the somewhat sombre end of that arc did a complete turnaround. Just by picking up one piece of scrap from my drafts, all the other aspects of that chapter I was struggling with started to click as I pieced everything together like a puzzle. Like, “Oh, so that’s what he was thinking?” It felt like the characters were guiding me. It took a while to go through all of it but part of me drew the storyboard wanting to know how they all ticked.

RK: It sounds like the characters came to life in that moment!

JS: I discussed it with my editor beforehand but when I went to draw the chapter, something about the characters just seemed off so I submitted a completely different storyboard from the one I discussed with my editor, rewritten even though I’d already gotten the OK for the previous draft... I’m nothing but grateful to my editor for letting me make those changes.

RK: Thank you for all the work you put into this series! Well then, are there any manga you’d like to recommend?

JS: My friend told me I should read Ousama Ranking (King Ranking) by Sousuke Toka. It’s great; it has a kind of warmth to its style like a children’s story but also has these intense scenes that feel straight out of a shounen manga. A lot of times I’ve cried reading it. I love how multifaceted the characters are. Re-reading it and reflecting on the characters thoughts and actions with that hindsight never gets old.

RK: Finally, is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?

JS: Yugami-kun was really only slated to run for one volume with five chapters but it received a lot of positive feedback on reader surveys so it was given a second volume, and then the first volume got a reprint... And on and on, that cycle repeated. It’s thanks to all of your support that the series is still going and I’m forever grateful. When I was drawing Chapter 1, I’d thought of the ending by then but writing the story up to that point wasn’t possible so I figured that at its slated end, I’d show how the characters had grown in that time frame. like any community with more than a few people, there have been ups and downs in the path few months. i wanted to add here as a general shout out that i have never felt so welcome and loved in a community that i originally would have thought would be more disjointed than what you might find on a forum. like, i’ve changed a lot thanks to you guys! i’ve been able to get over some of the hurdles of my social anxiety (i didnt jump over them so much as drag myself across the ground and painfully crawl over them) and i just... i feel good? i feel like people like me? there are still times where my anxiety insists i’m nothing but a useless burden, but i actually... feel like people enjoy having me around? holy shit!

i made some really cool new friends and got to know a different kind of roleplay community. im overall incredibly grateful for this wild and weird journey i’ve been on, and the journey certainly isn’t over by any means! i hope to keep seeing you guys around!

"Okayyy, now open!" Aoi announced, quickly shuffling out of the kitchen. Chihiro looked around the room until he saw you standing next to the pastel cupcakes. He made sure to double check to see what was written was real. "A-are you sure this is for me...?" Chihiro looked at you, their entire face matching the pink icing. You nodded eagerly, your nervousness preventing you from letting out any words.

Don't get them wrong, Chihiro definitely liked you back. He was just taken aback and close to tears because no one has ever put in so much effort for them before. You stepped closer to the boy, about to ask them if they were okay until he hugged you once you were within distance. He started crying into you. "T-thank you so much..I love you too!"

Oh you weren't expecting him to cry, but you hugged back, a giddy smile coming over you. "Hey, hey, please don't cry! I'm glad you liked it." You took his face in your hands and kissed his cheek. "I should be thanking you, Chihiro. You don't know how happy you just made me." You two just stood there like a pair of lovestruck idiots basking in the sweet moment, just soaking in each other's joyful smiles.
