Well AO3 is still down and I just finished Are You Ready? and I needed to tell you immediately that, omg, that was so ridiculously well done!

The action scenes were absolutely brilliant chaos, the suspense was sheer perfection, and, I know I say this all the time but, your BAMF!Stiles is *chef kiss* amazing.

But knowing that I always end up liking things made by other people better so trying to come up with something new is just... Trampled by things I already like and would rather think about

Like for example

why make some interesting new horror characters/worlds when there's all these good ones out there I already like, and I can't just copy them because then that's not something new and interesting, it's just a shallow copy of a great thing

man the only thing I miss about watching shows on TV as they aired is that I didn't get insanely obsessed with everything I watched. because I watched so many shows at once, but all of them over such a long period of time, that it just didn't happen that often.

i wish i had the brain power and eloquence to talk about it more but the sheer number of parallels and callbacks to previous events in the last chapter needs to be noted: a police officer unwittingly following a suspect into a basement to die. hayward on a boat with someone holy/hallowed. paige's dad being a lying, slimy bastard* yet again. a tree growing out through a person. the willing sacrifice. one memorial shrine for the mother. one memorial shrine for the father. the marriage that never was, finally resolved. the dreaded phone calls, finally stopped.
