Dean's Emotional Prison (Part I)

Hi my friends! Another meta from season 14, this time I will try to disect mostly episode 10, and Bucky's Bar, the symbolism in the visual Narrative and dialogues related to Dean's deepest desires.

Drstiel Break up Foreshadow

Before talking about how glued were Castiel and Dean the whole episode 9 (Foreshadowing Michael's words at the end of the episode "He was attached to you... To all of you") let's talk about the broken tape deck.

At first I thought this was talking about how comfortable they felt with the silence but then... In retrospective, it was another foreshafow for the Drstiel break up, if you related it with the mixtape, a Destiel icon.

Another take from this episode was the amount of lies and the silence, keeping the truth out of sign.

DEAN: We got -- We got Jack back. When was the last time we had a big, no-strings-attached win like that?

Do you remember Castiel's face here? Not talking about his deal with the Empty?

Also, I noticed something Dean did...

You know there's a thing in Medicine called "Exit Problem" is when you were with your patient, made the anamnesis, made the physical exam, and then, after half an hour of consult, you open the door bc you are about to say goodbye see you in the next contr and the patient goes with... "Oh, yeah, btw, I was coughing blood all the week too..."

Dean did this with Cas before entering the place...

It was part of the honest talk they needed to have. Just a piece in which we saw Dean understanding what Sam and Castiel went through when they were possessed.

Touching

Not only the talk, but the moves from Dean to Castiel, as I predicted it in 14x06.

The whole season was full of Dean and Castiel glued to each other, more than in season 13.

I linked these touchings to the moves. Dean was trying to approach Cas physically. Showing him signs.

The Lies

The episode was full of text and symbolism about lies hidden truths.

Look at Castiel here, asking Jack to keep the secret. This was a cute symbolism that sealed their chat about why Castiel was hidden the truth about the Empty to the Winchester's brothers. But we had another secret between Jack and Castiel about eating choco cereal at night.

Then we had Garth acting like a spy in Michael's Forces and also, the scene with Kaia.

The dialogues are pointing to lies and hidden secrets again. Dean will lie here about Jack's powers to get the spear.

Again, another piece of dialogue between Castiel and AUKaia.

Why was this episode so insistent into talk about lies? Because it was another foreshafow of Jack cancelling all lies in the world at the end of the season.

The Big Liar

The big Liar at the end of the episode was Michael, who was hidden somehow and never cut the link between him and Dean. Spying the TFW (just like Garth) and possessing Dean again. But this time he know what to do. This time he will have Dean under control by locking him down inside his own Emotional Prison (Rocky's Bar).

Michael explains he needed to break Dean, to make him believe he had won. Because he was attached to his family.

To Conclude:

This episode talked about lies, as a preamble to Dean's second Possession and his lock down inside his own Emotional Prison, a big lie built by himself.

Ahh ruby is one i keep coming back, like constantly. Its my main song I played so far (right behind tiger inside. I blame minho doing the cover lolol) for the new year and honestly, not complaining. I could do an essay about how much I love the orchestral opening and how it tricks you before it switches 180 on the listener BUT I write way too much as it is so tldr be blessed with musical genius stuff with ruby when listening to it

Oohhh a gfx tutorial would be fun to see (I love seeing how people do their creations, like everyone has their own little dazzle to the steps and it is fun seeing how it becomes the finished product!) But only do it if you wanna and have time! No doubt probably would take time to do one so while I am curious on your process, I can understand if not showing! Lolol tbh your gfx style doesn't seem, like all over the place? (Now mine...we don't talk about them) like they feel like a cohesive style regardless? There is a theme i think, its very artsy yet put together? Idk how to explain it im sorry fjsjdjsj. Me and my friend do praise you for the gfx, like we dubbed you a wizard because how do you make them so pretty but also simple sometimes? (Speaking of your stuff, I don't think I thanked you for your resource pack? Thank you for it :D helped me out a bit with a creation or two)

But agreed!! Groups are bound to have loads of content so you will find one you missed even when active and up to date! Ahh yes, yes!! It feels very special to be like "in on the joke" so to speak. I love watching content where fans edit moments like say a going seventeen episode to make a summary but also include the funny moments. That helped me alot with getting into groups like skz. Also thank you, I can't help but feel annoying at times(?) Especially to you since you have better things to do than to talk to a random potato on anon jdjsjdjjs

But to slightly go off topic, how are you dreamy!? Outside from carrying tumblr with your creations of course, someone give dreamy the back massage they need for that btw

I think the way I usually get into groups is slide shows that me and a couple of my friends make. The process of making a slideshow about a group really helps focus on learning things and then receiving slideshows is so fun and a great way to learn ^^ we make them on google docs and then facetime to present them lol. we have so many at this point, for like almost every group we like lol. my skz one is MASSIVE

also i definitely do NOT have better things to do than to talk to you i swear, im just REALLY bad at answering asks because my grammar is so bad i have to put more mental power into it, but i totally get excited to see you sending me asks!!!

Hey dude what's up, I talked about this in my about me but I never get asks so it's not a big deal or anything lmao. There's a song called Doesn't Make it Alright on The Specials self-titled 1979 album. It's not my favorite song on the album or anything, but it has an anti racism message with lyrics like "just because you're a black boy, just because you're white, it doesn't mean you've got to hate him, it doesn't mean you've got to fight." I made this tumblr a long time ago like probably in 2012 but I had another tumblr before this that I made in like 2010 and I was really into like punk and ska back then (i mean i still am lol) and I had this url back then too lol. It would be nice to have a url that goes with my blog but this ones alright just for old times sake haha btw my fav song on that album is blank expression but if you're gonna dabble listening to the specials definitely listen to little bitch. Day 5- #studyblrgetsreal 

I wrote this in one go so I haven’t really grammar checked it, English isn’t my first language so I apologise in advance for any spelling errors cx 

Long post ahead about an insecurity of mine. My disability. 

I have been contemplating posting this or not. I don’t know if this fits under this hashtag but I wanted to talk about something else that isn’t just about my studying. It has affected my life as a student a lot and on other parts as well, so there is maybe where it fits onto my blog lol. 

_I sat at my desk today watching the sunset for the millionth time, thinking about life and what I should write about. I started writing this piece of text by talking about things that didn’t really fit this hashtag or what I wanted to talk about. _

_So I decided to approach it by writing about something I rarely bring up because it is something I have mentally struggled with since I was young enough to understand that I didn’t fit under what society says is ‘normal’. _

_I have a disability. I am born with Spina Bifida. It is not something I hide from the world. It is not something I am ashamed, but it is a piece of me that I have had a hard time accepting. I still have a hard time accepting it. _

_It’s a disability that should have put me in a wheelchair and the damage that was supposed to be done by this thing I was born with, it never showed up. When you read about Spina Bifida, every page basically tells you that the higher up the aneurysm is located, the bigger the damage it causes on your body. Mine was located on my neck. I was told that I am a miracle and I met doctor after doctor. Did surgery after surgery and missed out on things that I really wanted to do but the surgery had to be prioritised. No child should ever have to go through 8 surgeries before the age of 16. _

My biggest surgery I did when I was 11. It took 9 hours to complete and about three hours to open my eyes. They ‘broke’ my thigh bones and wrung them out 30 degrees. Then they put titanium screws through both my thigh bones and after three days they told me to walk. 

When people tell me that the things I have done are amazing, I just smile. Because honestly? I have know idea how to respond because I believe that others have it worse. I have not uttered a single word of complaint my entire 19 years of living. Because I can’t see the things I have done as ‘amazing’, they are just things I have had to do for me to be able to walk better. I am a very privileged person. I am white cis female living in a wealthy family in Sweden. My friends around me have family problems, suffer from depression and anxiety and have problems with their hearts and lungs. So my worse days aren’t as bad as theirs because I have had such a good childhood. 

And then, a turning point came for me in the beginning of march of 2017. Ed Sheeran dropped his new album. (which is amazing btw you should give it a listen!!) I loved all of the songs but there was one song that caught my attention. Save Myself. “So before I save someone else, I’ve got to save myself.” 

If you have come this far, thank you for reading my shitty post talking about my disability. You are truly amazing. What I wanted to say with this chaos of a post isn’t that you should pity me or anything like that. Please don’t feel sorry for me! I have had the most amazing childhood, my family is amazing and I have a lot of friends who love me for me. I am working on me, working on saving myself before saving anyone else. 

What I wanted to say with this post in a weird way is that sure, people have it worse. People are starving and living in poverty and so on but just because someone else has it worse; IT DOESN’T MAKE YOUR FEELINGS ANY LESS WORTHY OF BEING FELT. 

This is also something I have to remind myself of, it is hard to remember in my worse days, that my feelings are worthy of being felt. It is hard but it is so important. Please don’t feel like you’re feeling are less than your friends or the people in need. You are so important.

But, due to a few reasons, I couldn’t begin it/post it (which I can’t really talk about lol). But - someone sent in a request asking for a VampKook smut around 18 weeks ago. So - I decided to use that opportunity to turn it into a series with all of my hard work creating lore and history and background to a world inside my head! I’m so happy that you like it :3
