HATED JOHN - regret version

i'm not sure if i like this version of hated john better than the original hmmm.... his voice is certainly more dynamic but it doesnt feel like he's used to singing like that haha. a lot of voice effects being used too. i guess it's not better or worse it's just different p: instrumental sounded identical to the original to me but i'll have to relisten, i wasnt paying much attention to it

actually, he sounded like he was influenced by symaG's cover of hated john

electravel starts with a train chugging noise lol he's going all in with the toybox album theme

otherwise sounds pretty damn close to the original so far. vocal delivery is sliiiiightly different. actually i think i like this version better

man he still has that problem where his vocals kinda get drowned out by the instrumental sometimes though

OMG? HI? I feel like I got noticed by a celebrity (⊙ˍ⊙). You probably saw how much I liked and reblogged your posts, truly sorry for spamming you hahahaha, I am just obsessed with Aegon and Aemond. Anyway, recently the things that made me truly happy are: 1) Music. I am spamming Enya's music and Fromsoftware's whole soundtrack lmao.

2) Writing fanfics. I am still new to writing in ao3 but Silmarillion really pushed me to write my own takes and stories but I am too shy to post them.

3) Watching gameplays. Games are probably my coping mechanism throughout my life. I am currently watching Alan Wake 2.

4) Playing videogames. I am playing Dark Souls Remastered so yeah, haven't finished it but I am planning on playing the whole triloy.

5) Tom Glynn-Carney's portrayal as Aegon. As shallow as it sounds, I have hundreds of Aegon gifs on my phone, which I occasionally look at because it gives me a serotonin boost. Got a couple new additions to my ever expanding Power Ranger collection this week...

First was the Blue Ranger from Dino Thunder, who I had added to an eBay watchlist and then the next day the seller was like "hey, want a 10% discount?" out of nowhere.

Which brought the price down under $20 soooo... yep, went ahead and ordered right then.

That shield is such a great design. I like spikey shields, and with this one the spike on the end (for stabbing) is retractable!

And then today, somebody else was waiting for me at the post office...

LORD ZEDD!

...who shipped super fast, so he ended up being my first figure from the MMPR line. (I have the "remastered" versions of the original Black and Yellow Rangers on the way also, probably arriving by Thursday.)

He's pretty damn impressive. Such a close likeness to how the suit on the show looked. He looks menacingly BIG next to the rangers, too -- even the taller male rangers look noticeably smaller in comparison, between the bit of extra height and how thick his limbs are. I really like how his tubes are flexible and stretchy enough to move along with his limbs without any issues when posing him... I'd expected him to have a bit more limited range of motion than the Rangers because of those tubes, but they really don't hinder his movement at all.

In addition to the Z-staff (a requirement for any Lord Zedd figure), a couple different hands, and a red lightning effect piece, he even came with one of the grenade thingies he throws down to enlarge monsters!

About the only other thing he could've had would be that snake he sometimes transformed his staff into when he was just sitting around and not needing to zap anything with it, but I'm sure there's tons of plastic/rubbery toy pythons out there that could work for that.

And now I have somebody a whole lot tougher than a single Cog for the rangers to fight! No MMPR figures yet, but I figured Tommy having a rematch with Zedd after getting the Zeo powers made sense.

(In the background here is my sage plant, which my younger sibling commented "looked like Zedd must have thrown one of his magic embiggening grenades at it." 🤣 That plant has done a LOT of growing lately due to rain and warmer weather!)

Between how Zeo was described as an overall upgrade over their previous powers and the fact that Zedd seems extra vulnerable to the energy of the Zeo Crystal for some reason (trying to grab it in the past was what caused him to lose his outer skin layer and end up as a cyborg-skeleton-meatman!), I feel like maybe Tommy could get a solid win the second time around, rather than struggling for a while and only managing to push Zedd to retreat by breaking his staff.

...but if all else fails there's always the Ivan Ooze maneuver.

oh jeez hard question....well first of all i’m gonna relink the post you’re talking about for anyone who is interested! a bunch of people i mentioned there have made awesome videos since then too, like fern’s landslide, sam’s ME! video, or maddie’s soldier poet king.

i also answered it on the spot so i forgot to mention @calamitysong of come on eileen, friday i’m in love, papa was a rodeo, and THE belphegor fancam fame, among others. and @tallahasseemp3—when my boy walks down the street, judas, and iris are some favorites. some other videos i’ve really liked recently are verbatim by @marlborodean, they’re killing children over there by @violetmoods, and as always the 13-minute beach life-in-death video by @clownologist. also erin @danneelswife’s garth fancam

ok now that i’ve complimented other people enough, i can answer your actual question under a cut LOL

this is a hard one since i tend to be very critical of my own work and i can barely bear to look at anything i made before i got HD video to work with anyway, but i have to shout out strawberry blond since it’s the one that started it all (and looks miles better since i remastered it). i also looooove honeybee. but tbh the ones i’ve been most proud of lately are my mikanatural videos: grace kelly and particularly happy ending. i actually think happy ending might be my all-time favorite of mine—i was very proud of how i captured the tragedy of the final two episodes, and was thrilled with how the little bit of love segment came out!

i also really like tender is the night because that’s one of my favorite songs, and what the hell because it was incredibly fun to edit (and re-watch)

but i especially LOVE the videos that are something different and a bit of an editing challenge for me, like my empty fix-it and purgatory videos. they’re a huge departure from what i normally do, but i really tried to use them to practice my editing skills (namely working on match cuts and conveying emotion without music in the empty video, and trying to condense all the emotional beats and rising tension of the entire arc into my purgatory video). i was SO so proud of how they both turned out! :’)

thank you so much for sending this ask; reflecting on what i like about my own videos made me feel so good and got me out of a bit of an editing funk i was in hahahaha. but seriously, go watch all the videos i linked from other people they’re all amazing!!!!!

Everyone keeps saying the new clip of sonic running is the Colors remaster, but the forest he’s running in looks nothing like planet wisp. It looks like a normal forest. The only way it could be planet wisp is them completely changing the look of it and I doubt they are doing that.
