Hii Ms Brandy!!! So I found out that my Galvantula, Spark is actually known as a alpha pokemon and also my brother made a saddle so I can ride Spark the more mountainous terrain!!!
Hiya Saf 👋 that explains why people were comparing it to a totem, they are definite similarities there.
That's great tho, alphas are hugely important for the area they look after. Often also referred to as 'caretaker' mons, they are big and strong and very protective over everything in their territory. Spark is gonna be a HUGE help to you if he's got caretaker genes.

HI THERE!!!!! It's so nice to see you back after so long 😭😭😭😭😭
Seeing your Pokemon posts reminds me how we missed out on the rest of your Alola liveblog. And I guess you've played the other Pokemon games that came out since? What teams did you end up going with?
Also how was Ultra Necrozma back in USUM? 😈
Aww, how sweet! Thank you for the welcome back! And yeah it really is a shame I never got to complete the Pokemon Moon liveblog but it is what it is. I also have to continue my Tales of the Abyss liveblog one day! Yeah I've had ample time to play it myself and finish it but even though I really wanted to play Abyss it didn't feel right to do so without the liveblog, especially since so many kind people were giving me advice throughout the experience or telling me how excited they were! So I've stayed strong and not played it and also did my best to avoid spoilers (still got a couple because that's my luck 😔) so that one day I can complete that playthrough!
But anyways my dear anon, you asked about my Pokemon teams and I'll gladly tell you. Heck, we'll go in order and I'll tell about all my babies!
Fire Red: Rave the Charizard, Thunder the Raichu, Bella the Butterfree, Arrele the Vaporeon, Draco the Dragonite, and Kori the Articuno. First game to also start one of my traditions of having an Eeveelution on my final team. First and only time I ever had a legendary on my final team and that was mainly because this was my first time playing Pokemon and I sucked bad...Mostly it was because I was having shit luck with Lance, you guys should've seen how hilariously shit I was when I played this game! And yeah as you can tell I wasn't the most creative nicknamer at this point.
Soul Silver: Stuey the Feraligatr, Lindbergh the Fearow, Zappy the Ampharos, Rocky the Onix, Vula the Ninetales, and Kaede the Espeon. My mixed Kanto/Johto team! Started my tradition of the Flying type named after a famous aviator, which is supposed to be the regional bird but I grew too attached to my Fearow Lindbergh to replace him. Also yes Rocky is indeed the same Rocky you get in an in-game trade...I loved him too much to let him go too. He and Vula, who was only a Vulpix when I faced the Elite Four because I couldn't get a fucking Fire Stone, did really well despite not being evolved!
Alpha Sapphire: Sascha the Sceptile, Twizzler the Linoone, Auriol the Swellow, Lyn the Manectric, Odense the Glaceon, and Capricia the Armaldo. This was the game I really got into my other tradition of having an Electric type with a name based on light/thunder/lighting/electricity/etc. Twizzler was another one of those "not supposed to be on the final squad but grew way too attached" Pokemon. This was also one of the few generations I loved the Grass starter most.
Platinum: Tarrle the Infernape, Sparks the Luxray, Earhart the Staraptor, Burgess the Roserade, Bemo the Floatzel, and Juby the Umbreon. Juby my baby boy was my MVP against Giratina he stalled so well while I tried to catch my shadow dragon baby. Gosh, just looking at these guys brings me flashbacks of our Cynthia attempts. This was also the first Pokemon game I played where I experienced a glitch! It was right before I caught Burgess, I was trying to catch a Budew and the game just randomly froze up on me.
Black: Ashby the Samurott, Richthofen the Unfezant, Lochrin the Krookodile, Fulgur the Galvantula, Bia the Beartic, and Drachen the Hydreigon. Drachen was still only a Zweilous when we completed the main story because I have a strict "no being a higher level than the Gym Leader/Champion/Final Boss ace" rule. And I'm no cheater like stupid old Ghetsis!!!! I love the Joltik/Galvantula line so much like way to make the cutest spider ever, so I was so excited when I got Fulgur!
White: Mariele the Serperior, Brinny the Stoutland, Ame the Simipour, Bolt the Zebstrika, Yeager the Archeops, and Dexio the Druddigon. Originally only stuck with Simipour because I needed a Surf user and we all remember Unova was really lacking in the Water type department. But he honestly grew on me more than I thought he would that I was like "no he's my child don't say anything about him >:(" to anyone who hated the elemental monkeys. Also, just like with Black, no Eeveelution on my team this time around.
Black 2: Telavive the Emboar, Milan the Leavanny, Lelouch the Lucario, Piorun the Jolteon, Cassie the Sigilyph, and Arach the Haxorus. I'm listing my teams in order the Pokemon games came out but Telavive was my first female starter, not Mariele. I don't even like Code Geass but for some reason when I caught my Riolu the name Lelouch just clicked with me. Cassie here was the real oddball of them team because I always considered Sigilyph so offputting and never considered having one on my squad. And yet she really ended up growing on me as I battled with her.
Y: Ketchum the Greninja, Andrieux the Talonflame, Kaname the Sylveon, Éclair the Heliolisk, Amarin the Aurorus, and Lulu the Goodra. Can't believe it took me until Gen 6 to name one of my babies after my precious gem Ash. This game was the reason I bought the 3DS in the first place and I had thought I wouldn't do well with it but that system introduced me to so much stuff. Also as I mentioned a long time ago, my Y game was stupidly lucky!!! There were so many good Pokemon in this gen.
Moon: Oliver the Decidueye, Anoli the Flareon, Torden the Vikavolt, Coleman the Toucannon, Vitenka the Mimikyu, and Yurinova the Drampa. For anyone who asks I named my Decidueye Oliver because I liked the name not because of a comic book character, that's just a really incredible coincidence! You guys may recall from my liveblog that Torden was just there and I had no intention of him staying but then like 24 hours later he was my grub son. I had so much fun playing this game and yes, of course, I named the legendary Nebby!
Ultra Moon: Marseine the Incineroar, Orage the Alolan Raichu, Avonaia the Dusk Form Lycanroc, Ulrich the Leafeon, Falomi the Ribombee, and Quimby the Noivern. The last game I played with an Eeeveelution on my team because with Ulrich I had one of each and there haven't been any more forms released yet. Orage, Avonaia, and Quimby were all Pokemon I wanted back in Moon but Alola had so many good picks they had to make the cut. So I was glad to have them on a final team at last!
Sword: Einwald the Cinderace, Crossfield the Corviknight, Elodie the Alcremie, Mirum the Flapple, Salama the Toxtricity, and Philomena the Frosmoth. Elodie is specifically a Mint Cream Berry Sweet version because I adore blue so much! Almost didn't get Berry Sweet because it was taking me FOREVER to get the berry decoration but on my last attempt I finally got one. I never was closer to the end of my rope than when I was desperately trying to level up Mirum while waiting to get his evolutionary item. I know people have grievances with gen 8 but I sincerely had a great time playing and loved the cast and there were great Pokemon to be found in this gen!
Legends Arceus: Takamasa the Hisuian Typhlosion, Shigure the Wyrdeer, Megumi the Kleavor, Yoshie the Hisuian Lilligant, Shinobu the Hisuian Zoroark, and Konoe the Sneasler. The first time I ever broke both my Electric AND my flying tradition. It was because by the time I got attached to my squad there weren't any other Hisui only Pokemon left that I really clicked with but then again how fitting for a Pokemon game so out of the norm that none of my personal Pokemon traditions made a showing. And as you can see in keeping with the setting I stuck with Japanese names for my babies. I had so much fun with this game and would love to see more Legends-like Pokemon games in the future!
WOW that got pretty long huh? Sorry anon, I'm sure you didn't ask for the essay but I got excited to talk about my Poke babies~! I'm also casually playing some Nuzlockes/Wedlockes on other versions but those are very much a work in progress in terms of what my squads will look like there so it'll be a LONG time before I update you on those teams.
I'm currently going through Violet and while my final team isn't set yet I have Carmine the Sprigatito who's gonna become Meowscarada and Trueno the Pawmi who will become Pawmot. My plan as of now is to have Tinkaton, Dachsbun, and Ceruledge on my final squad but anything can happen between now and me getting them. My one big question is I can't decide on who my Flying type should be because I saw several options and I'm torn between them. Will update once I have a final squad for Paldea! Oh, and even though he's not technically a battling member, Karui the Miraidon is OF COURSE a part of my final squad by default!!!
And to close this out, how was Ultra Necrozma you ask? Well I had heard about its level and how obscenely hard a fight it is but I also heard the following Kahuna battle was at a lower level. So, in keeping with my strict rule mentioned in the Black section, I went into this fight really underlevelled and scared as fuck.....Only for Marseine to hold on with one HP because he loved me after getting smacked by Power Gem and then proceed to OHKO Ultra Necrozma with a critical hit Malicious Moonsault.
So yeah lol 😂😂😂

Ngl I’ve been here before, I’ll deem myself noodle for that sake.
But your Hisui’d child series gets my brain working.
Like imagine trying to readapt to life, but it’s not that easy.
The scars that litter their flesh from all the times they risked their life with wild Pokémon, alpha Pokémon, nobles, and GODS! A child doing a grown adults job.
The angst of dad (Ingo or Emmet) seeing some of those and realizing they almost completely lost their child.
Or the PTSD after everything they have been through.
Haxorus letting out a happy roar? Suddenly their child has thrown themselves over and behind the couch like they were dodging an attack. (While the Hisui’d child’s mind went back to fighting that alpha Garchomp.)
Galvantula making sparks out of excitement? Emmet is suddenly yanked back and away from his Pokémon full force, cause his child’s panicked brain went back to wild Luxray’s attacking them.
Just things like that and the twins having to try and help but also sob because just what the hell were you put through? You loved their Pokémon, who made you feel so afraid?
It doesn’t help when their poor child cries, apologizing for acting like that and that they didn’t mean to freak them out.
Mmm angst, truly amazing.(as is your writing)
my dearest noodle,,,,i’ve been watching this specific response in my inbox for SO LONG but now that emmet’s version of the hisui’d!child series has come out, i now feel better to respond to this.
first of all, i wrote and imagined ingo and emmet’s children to have different personalities before and after hisui. for ingo, his child was more responsible, headstrong, and driven pre-hisui and more anxious, apprehensive, and defensive post-hisui. for emmet, his child was more free-flowing, adventurous, and spunky pre-hisui and more aggressive, cold, and weary post-hisui. due to their diverging personalities, i’d say they’d have different reactions to life after returning home to nimbasa.
ALSO!! i mentioned in this post. that ingo’s child’s team post-hisui was walrein, snorlax, vaporeon, clefable, torterra, and hisuian goodra, and that emmet’s child’s team was drapion, infernape, staraptor, garchomp, machamp, and hisuian zoroark. just wanted to throw that out there before i start spitballing some ptsd things
for ingo’s kid:
Chandelure freaks you out. It reminds you of all the malicious ghosts that would come out at night. You try your best to get along with your father’s partner, but when it starts singing to you, you can’t help but summon Goodra to hold you close and drown out the noise, trying not to cry.
(Ingo cries at this because he remembers the times when you were so young and refused to fall asleep unless Chandelure sang you a lullaby.)
You watch your Pokémon play fight with Ingo’s in the backyard, but your heart is pounding out of your chest and you can’t sit still. It’s been a long time since you’ve seen Pokémon battling that wasn’t a serious situation.
Ingo tries to get your Pokémon to relax, but they’re not used to the situation in modern times where Pokémon are normalized to be out and about and intermingling with people.
They still absentmindedly interpose themselves between you and anyone approaching.
You don’t like sleeping in a separated bedroom anymore, instead opting to sleep on the couch surrounded by your Pokémon. Ingo checks on you in the middle of the night a lot of times, waking up from nightmares of you disappearing again.
Haxorus is a snuggler, and she wants to cuddle you all the time. It’s hard for you, though, when she approaches you with the sharpened axes on her jaw. They remind you of your fight with Lord Cleavor, the scars on your arms from that encounter still remain.
Your Sawsbuck is the calm in the storm. It gets along with your new Pokémon wonderfully. On the days you feel unsafe, Ingo and Sawsbuck are at your sides, soothing you and keeping you close.
Almost every time Ingo watches you get scared, he sees you stand strong and bare it first, but then after the encounter he sees you dissolve into a fearful mess later. There was so much expected of you, and your mind can’t handle the pressure of being strong anymore.
In the middle of a long, exhaustive night where you can’t fall asleep, you lean against Ingo and tell him the story of what it was like to be banished, to be pushed away and unloved. You tell him the awful things people said about you and how alone you felt.
“You’ve never made me feel like that, dad…I missed you so much.”
A lot of times you collapse into tears, unable to put the pain into real words. Ingo cries with you every time. You will never be alone again.
You tell him what it's like to hold the weight of the world.
for emmet’s kid:
Emmet realizes very quickly that you do not like to be touched. You are covered in phantom aches and pains and it's hard to keep track of the injuries that are real and the ones that are not.
You sometimes catch yourself keeping Emmet’s affections at arms length. He’s your father, but the idea of being open again scares you to your core.
Surprises and loud noises are met with immediate fleeing. You’re incredibly agile, diving through door frames and over furniture when you hear the sound of Archeops squawking. She’s an incredibly kind Pokémon, but her call sends you into a frenzy.
Being in a city the size of Nimbasa makes you nervous, even though you lived here your whole life before Hisui. You claim people are watching you at all times, judging you, and Emmet assures you that they’re not.
(If they were to be, however, Emmet is not one to squander his second chance with you, and nobody will hurt you again.)
The Pokémon your birth father gave you do not get along with the Pokémon you kept from Hisui. They fight all the time, and Emmet holds you back every time from interfering.
Emmet can see how two sides of you are split into two when this happens. Both sets of Pokémon are very strong, and some of them stood beside you as you grew up, and the others stood by your side in your time of need.
You’re hostile. Things that normally wouldn’t bother you set you on edge. You snap and scream and put up walls in an instant.
Some of your new Pokémon still don’t trust Emmet. Your Hisuian Zoroark is the main perpetrator of this; Zoroark does not fuck with Emmet at all. Any misstep your father makes to you, unknowingly or otherwise, and it’s on sight.
After many months of being back home, you tell Emmet about a blond man you met. You don’t say his name, but you tell your father that he manipulated you, acted like you were friends, and then tried to kill you. You tell him about the betrayal you felt and what the pressure of that battle felt like.
“You never pressured me to be strong, Papa…all you ever wanted for me was to be me. I love you so much.”
You rarely ask for hugs, but when you do, Emmet spares no expense in the short time they last.
You tell him what it’s like to be a hero.
i hope these satisfy your cravings for angst, noodle!! ily btw and don’t you forget that <33

The following short story contains:
Tumblr media
[Specifically Mutilation, you have been warned.]
It was another night in the city, Usually Safrina would be either asleep or she'd be up all night watching shows on her laptop. But she couldn't fall asleep, it felt like something was watching her. Safrina shifted and turned in bed, hoping to fall to the land of the unconscious for a short while. She suddenly heard a knock, but it wasn't coming from the door, it came from her windows. She thinks for about it, what would be the risk of wanting to know what made the noise? Worse case scenario is that she would get spooked by a Pokemon, so she decided to open the blinds of the window.
It was her. The ghoul girl that accompanied her in the hospital, she thought that she was just a figment of her mind. A mere hallucination. But the girl was another lost soul roaming the world.
Tumblr media
"Hi friend! How are you doing?" The ghost questioned, slightly squishing her cheeks as she leaned her head onto the glass. "I'm alright." Safrina responded, her voice was dripping with exhaustion, why wouldn't the ghost stop following her? It was making her go off the rails. "You look bored, do you want to go Chargestone cave?" She gleefully suggested to Safrina. "First of all I don't even know your nam-" "My name is Amethyst! What is yours?" Amethyst cutted in Safrina's sentence. "Oh! I am terrible sorry... Did not mean to cut you off ..."
"It's fine... My name is Safrina, but you can just call me Saf. Also do you want to go to Chargestone at the middle of the night?" She looked at the ghost, she remembers all the time amethyst kept her up throughout the entire hospital stay. "We're going to see baby joltiks hatching out of their eggs!" Amethyst gleamed with excitement, asking the tired girl to hurry up. Though Safrina decided to join her, she wouldn't mind seeing baby joltiks. She let Cirro out first. As she couldn't climb out the window without any assistance, she carefully climbed down and onto the safety of the ground. Letting out Spark next, after setting the saddle on, and with Cirro helping her on top of Spark. The two girls headed off to Chargestone cave. It was a far walk so the two girls talked to each other to pass the time. "We're here! C'mon!" Amethyst hurried inside. "Wait... Won't they be aggressive towards us? Considering they just their babies hatch out their eggs?" Safrina questioned hesitant to enter the cave. Sure she wanted to see the baby joltiks, but only at a distance where the parents wouldn't be aggressive towards them.
"Oh yeah! I forgot to mention... The parents wanted us to babysit them for a few hours while they we're out hunting!" Amethyst said with a sheepish grin. "Alright then.. if you say so..." So the ranger in training, still on her alpha Galvantula followed the ghost girl into the cave system that joltiks and galvantulas call home. As they arrived to the location the two could see many little joltiks, some just hatching out of their eggs. "Woah... That's so many of them all in one place..." As Safrina returned Spark to his PokeBall, as she did want Spark to get into a fight if the parents show up. One of the them went near to Safrina. "It seems that this one wants to be held!" Amethyst whispers to her. Safrina was once again hesitant but Amethyst knew more, so she lets her hands out for the Joltik to climb on
Tumblr media
"Hey.. that's tickling me..." She let out a giggle, as Amethyst heard it she gave a smile. "See it was worth it." Safrina was enjoying her time with the newly hatched joltiks, It was a going to be nice and relaxing night with baby Joltiks. Suddenly dust clouds started to emerge near them, it seems to be two drilburs having a fight. "Safrina! We have to get them to calm down! This part of the cave is more fragile... It could cast a cave in!" Amethyst worried, she wishes she could help but she can't physically interact with the realm of the living.
[Final warning: tw mutilation]
Safrina looked at the two drilburs and tried to think. "Of course... Me... The one who had barely any training..." She panicked, opened her bag that she brought along and scurried through her items. She grabbed her styler and brought out Akago and Dynariu. "I don't know if this is going to work... My styler is only school grade... Hopefully it's going to give enough time for Akago and Dynariu to knock them out..." She strapped on her bike helmet just in case for any loose rubble hitting on her, and started to try stopping the fight and the potential cave in. Dynariu leapt towards one of the drilburs as Safrina and Akago handled the second one. Akago kept making it focus on him instead of Safrina. Sometimes the drilbur's attacks hit the cave walls, starting create a crack, which worried Safrina. All that dodging made Safrina's limbs start to strain, but she had to keep going. Dynariu manages to beat the drilbur she was targeting, so it was just the one that was after Safrina and Akago. But... Safrina's body couldn't handle the strain anymore and her legs gave way, she fell to the floor, her breathing was heavy. Suddenly she heard something fell, and it went dark.
She opened her eyes yet again, a stalactite stabbing through her leg, Shattering it like a mirror, revealing the geode like insides. How was she alive? She couldn't see Amethyst anymore and her two pokemon already finished off the second drilbur and was at her side, keeping her awake as she was in too much shock too move.
