trying to determine everything on the crew's lovingly made santa hats and omg they are just so goddamn adorable. SOPHIE: covered in costume jewelry gems (but you know parker switches out at least one to be a real one every year, to keep things fresh). there's a queen's crown in a black emblem, another sparkly crown near the top, many pearls, a couple peppermints, several small snowman beads, a union jack pin, a pair of blue barbie boots (one of them is on top of a blue gem, so it can be easily missed), several curly embellishments with white dots/mini pearls, and of course a big ass old fashion doll head of the queen. there is definitely things on the back as well, maybe a tassel and/or a christmas tree?

HARRY: the new guy has an emptier hat because his is fresh, but he's got one this year which shows he's officially part of the family. he's got lawyer-y stuff right now: a gavel, one set of law books, a set of law books with a man and a girl (presumably harry and becky), something on top i couldnt see, and the cutest fucking scroll that says VERDICT in black and then NAUGHTY in red like a stamp. there's a lot of room for new things!

PARKER: she is not wearing hers because she has one to match her outfit, but she has chosen for herself just lots of money and also a creepy ass elf on a shelf.

BRE: several game controls of various colors, a few ball ornaments, a laptop pin, yellow barbie skates/sneakers, a pair of big headphones, several spirits ruse cards, a dragon, a laptop with a :) face, an action figure of some kind, and i think a gem or two.

ELIOT: easily the most personalized, with very little christmas stuff so its just a lot of him. so. front - guitar, a fucked up santa pin (if human, but maybe it is actually a lion santa??), a foot soldier, with a rolled up flag, a green toy soldier, horse in armor, number seven (font like a jersey), whisk, egg in a bowl, butcher knife, football, black boots, and beer stein. on the right side - a knight with a sword, knight with a mace, knight with a flag, horse in armor, black buttons?, dog tags, football, and binoculars. on the left side - sheriff badge that says HERO, two more green toy soldiers, and a toy tabasco sauce bottle. on the back - a big solider in camo ornament, a boxing bag, boxing gloves, a small pair of binoculars, a small ketchup bottle, maybe a can, maybe a small bottle with a label, another football, and a big wolf. there's a few things i really cannot make out. like the big grey thing on the back, and the white cirles with red and blue dots on the back.

IN ANY CASE. these are fucking adorable and i want parker to make one for me.

Nickname/Code name- Zeus

The number 6 of the Z-stacks also being their ocean tug, he’s rather soft in personality but sturdy in build willing to be his loved ones shield. He calls Hercules his father and he calls Zebedee his dad. Like his father he has a silver animal on his hat except his is a snake after what his namesake is, he also has a lightning bolt pin on his vest in gesture to his nickname. He’s currently in his 30′s in this picture.

- He has a pet central American boa constrictor with an IMG morph (IMG- increased melanin gene) Named Hades.

- He got permission to use the nickname Zeus from Hercules when he told him the Z’s want him to basically be a mirror to him except more devious. Hercules laughed and said he’d like to them try to change his boy and said it was okay to use just to show the harbor how desperate the Z’s now were to copy the Stars.

- He was called Zeus before he decided to join the Z’s because- A; He’s Hercules’s and Zeb’s kid. And B; his actual name is a mouthful and you can’t really give it a nickname.

- He has two brothers, a nephew, an uncle, and a great-grandfather, though I won’t be revealing who they are. Props to anyone who can figure it out.

You both stopped, your heads both snapping to look at each other once you had realized who you had just passed. “Don’t even think about it-” he hissed, grabbing your leg he ripped it from underneath you, causing you to fall back onto the concrete. You looked back, ready to yell again but this time he flipped you over, holding one of your arms down with his foot while holding your other arm with his hand. His glare piercing through any of your words. “Don’t call me that” he hissed.

“What the fuck are you saying?” You growled, trying to kick him off of you but his grip on your arm tightened. You glared back, gritting your teeth in pain.

“Don’t call me Bakugou. Don’t ever call me Bakugou. Call me Katsuki. Don’t act like we don’t know each other.” He pressed his other hand to your shoulder, pressing his weight into it, “Come back with me. They’ll give you a second chance, you haven’t done anything that can’t be undone-”

“Can’t you see? It’s over. I’m done. I’ve crossed a line I can’t come back from.” You looked away, not wanting to see how his eyes seemed to express every emotion he refused to share. “It’s over Katsuki... I’m done for.”

“No, it’s not! We can help you! I can! Fuck (Name)! Don’t just fucking give up!” He growled, lifting his leg from your arm he straddled your waist, his hand that was once on your shoulder moved its way to your hand, his fingers intertwining with yours as he spoke, “Come back with me,”

Bakugou however, laid there, his frustration only growing as whispers surrounded him until a hero did finally confront him. Only then did he stand up, wiping his hands on his back as he spoke,

“They stole my wallet,” He raised his wallet in the air, “I was just trying to get it back,” He stared ahead, not listening to the scolding he was receiving from the hero as he could only focus on your voice.

“I can’t come back Suki, it’s too late.”

Mighty Maniax is a new line of 3″ Glyos action figures inspired by cartoons and videos games of the ’80s and ’90s.

Decades ago, cartoons were made from toys, and video games were made from cartoons. Its always been a dream of mine to bring a world like Masters of the Universe, Transformers, or TMNT to life. Mighty Maniax is being created in that same spirit. This is a new 3″ line of action figures inspired by vintage collectibles like, Battle Beasts, Army Ants, and Hasbro era WWF figures. Heavily influenced by video games and cartoons of the ’80s and ’90s, these characters represent a wild world of action, horror, and sci-fi fantasy. Johnny Tombstone is the main character and hero of the Mighty Maniax world. His supernatural abilities to sense evil and destroy it are unparalleled. Equipped with an Evo-cannon and containment pack, he sets out to balance the forces of good and evil with the most unlikely of companions.

Among his band of misfit monsters are Fishstik, a hyper-intelligent water creature, and Viper, a fast-talking Ninja by day; deadly Werewolf by night. Enter a world of frightening monsters and mighty heroes with the all new Mighty Maniax action figures.

Mighty Maniax Wave One

Toy molds are expensive! From a 12″ figure to these smaller 3″ figures, it takes a large amount of funding to get them made. We are looking to KickStarter backers to raise the funds to cover the molds and production for this creator-owned line of toys.

Each Mighty Maniax figure comes with 1 body, 3 character heads, and has 10 points of articulation. Swap the heads out to change up the look of each figure, or interchange any part to create new characters.

Monster figures feature Maniac Morphing to change visual form from scales to fur, or even fire with different colors and heads. Get the Slasher Weapons Pack to add even more attitude to your figures.

Growing up in the ’90s wouldn’t be the same without 16-Bit video games played on the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis systems. When cinematographer, Joel Benner, and video-game coder, Matt Cooper, approached Rocom Toys with the opportunity to make a classic 16-Bit side-scroller, there was no question that it had to be for Mighty Maniax.

The video game demo comes FREE with every reward including a Mighty Maniax figure.

Death Jaguar Add-On Accessories Stretch Goal

After I finished Dave the Psyduck, a lot of you were interested in starting your own giant Pokemon and thus the community project for a complete 151 Pokedex of giant Pokemon was born!

When?

This project doesn’t really have a deadline, we just want to see all gen one Pokemon in giant form eventually. Gotta catch ’em all!

How big is giant?

I thought a minimum of 12 inches tall or long was a good place to start.

Does it have to be crochet?

No! Use whatever creative materials you’d like as long as it’s physical and 3D.

How do I sign up?

There is a sign up form pinned in the #giant-pokemon-project Discord channel. Only submit 1 or 2 claims at a time just to give others the opportunity to claim. If you finish making one, you can claim another.

Can I claim a Pokemon someone has already claimed or made?

Yes! The claim sheet is only there to help us keep track of which Pokemon have been made and which ones are being worked on. We can absolutely have more than one of a single Pokemon, the more the merrier! But if we want to complete the Pokedex, we’ll need people to sign up for ones that haven’t been made yet.

Where can I get help/ideas?

Join the Discord! All things related to this project are posted in the #giant-pokemon-project channel. My Psyduck post also goes over how I made him, including my yarn & hook choices. It might also help you figure out how much material you’ll need.

What do I do with the finished project?

Theory: How Alejandro got everyone eliminated

Hello everyone, I came up with a theory!

We all know that Total drama has some BS eliminations, but never is that more clear then in World Tour. So many contestants were given the boot on so many stupid reasons.....

Or were they? It is to my belief that most eliminations were part of the master plan of none other then WT's main villian...

Alejandro!

Now, I am going to go through every elimination and explain how Alejandro ties to it. With manipulation, charm, and a bit of luck, this is how this suave Latino won the million. And I will explain the most BS elimination in this season.

Now, we will start with when the teams are made, With Al's team having Tyler, Owen, Noah, Sierra and Himself. He's at first angered, but then he thinks; Owen has done well in both seasons, Noah is smart, Tyler has connections with team Victory, and Sierra... No one knows anything about her, so he can't really be mad. The switch of Izzy and sierra doesnt really play in to his plan, but he's worried about Izzy screwing up. Knowing how everyone hates Zeke by his actions on the plane, he know he will screw up and make his team lose. Zeke losing the stick confirms this assumption. Zeke's gone... For now, at least. On to Japan, where Alejandro's plan kicks in. He starts with Victory, but why not the Team Amazon? Well, Alejandro assumes that Cody and Sierra are deadwheights to team amazon, and Courtney Gwen dont trust Heather. He figures they'll take themselves out before he can start anything. (Remember this, its important later) Plus, Team Victory has some influential team members that, if left alone, could be a problem later on. He starts his elimination spree with Harold. Why? Like Owen, Harold has done well in both seasons, and is very smart. So he wants to get rid of him before he figures anything out. Alejandro convinces Harold to quit and he agrees, according to his plan. Next, he pins Bridgette. Why not Leshawna? Because, as we all know, Bridgette is the host of The Aftermath Show, so she has ties with Chris. And our villains gonna do some dirty inside stuff later on, and if Shes still in by that point, she could find out and tell the cast, leading to his elimination. So he swoons her into a pole, sealing her fate to her elimination. Next is Leshawna, who has ties with a lot of the cast, which, if he ignores, will hurt him. So he gets rid of her to ensure this doesn't happen, and she's gone, leaving Lindsay and DJ remaining as the last two members of team Victory.

Now, Alejandro wants to make an alliance with DJ that will help him from a couple of episodes. So he gets rid of Lindsay, but its risky, because she remembered Tyler. If she didn't, it would be simple. But if Lindsay leaves and its obvious he's the reason, he'll lose Tyler's trust, and he cant risk that now. So he throws the challenge in the Amazon for some time to think about how to do this. Luckily, it's a reward challenge. He knows that if team Victory loses agian, Lindsay and DJ will vote for each other, leading to a tiebreaker. And, to his dismay, its a fashion challenge. Yet, to his surprise, DJ wins and Lindsay is eliminated, keeping his plan going and keeping Tyler's trust. Now to get DJ on his side. We see this happen, but why did he pick Owen to suggest the alliance? Well Izzy would probably scare him, Tyler is still mad about Lindsay being eliminated, Noah is a bit risky, since he's generally disliked by the cast, and risk is something he can't afford, which leaves Owen to make the alliance. Al will get rid of DJ in the next episode, all part of his plan. Izzy was just a side effect.

Now with team Victory gone, he turns to his own team. Alejandro has gained their trust, but some are catching on, most specifically Noah. Noah knows something is up, and Alejandro knows that if he doesn't get rid of him soon, he'll have his whole team turn on him. So here comes the kicker. We all see Noah elimination as complete bs, but what if it was intentional? Call me insane, call me actually Irrational, but what if the Alejandro rigged the challenge to get specifically Noah eliminated? Here's how it happened:

Alejandro goes to Chris, Chef, and "Jack" requesting that if his team wins, the win goes to team Amazon. Chris agrees, but in return, he doesn't compete in today's challenge. Its a deal, and the challenge plays out, during which, he convinces tyler to vote for noah. Now for Duncan. Duncan is placed on team Chris, and alejandro knows he needs Duncan's vote to get rid of noah, because he assume noah already got Owen to vote for himself. Due to them losing, Duncan agrees, and Noah is eliminated.

Now, here are the Teams as of right now.

CIRRRH: Alejandro, Duncan, Tyler and Owen

Amazon: Heather, Gwen, Courtney, Cody, and Sierra.

Seeing his current lineup, alejandro decides to get rid of Tyler next. Why tyler? While Tyler is very athletic, he's also clumsy. And seeing how owen has been useful throughout the season, and Duncan's a cunning criminal, its clear who goes next. Its almost too easy when he sees Tyler looking uneasy. He asks him what's wrong, but Tyler is silent. Alejandro leaves it alone, For now. In Greece, he agrees to let tyler fight courtney, if he agrees to repay him later. Tyler agrees, and we see the result. Alejandro is pleased, not only has team Amazon turned on each other, but Tyler is seen as a jerk and loses his teams trust. He is eliminated the next episode.

Now, Alejandro needs to pick who to go between Owen and Duncan. And..... Yeah, Duncan's a way better player to keep then Owen. Plus, he knows that the merge is coming up, so he decides to keep him around a little longer to make it easier on himself.

The eliminations of Owen, Blainley, Courtney and Duncan are all reasoned the same way: Alejandro hoping that they don't get immunity, and getting the majority to vote them off.

Now were in the final four, where he realizes the flaw in his plan. Heather, Cody and Sierra have been a team since the beginning, and that could be trouble. Lucky for him, sierra goes overboard with her stalkiness and Cody enlists our Gillian for advice. Alejandro know this is the perfect time to form an alliance, so he does, and Cody agrees. Sierras elimination was a surprise to alejandro, but he was going to get rid of her with Cody anyway, so its good. Cody gets eliminated by the battle in Hawaii, and Alejandro beats Heather, winning the million.

And that is how Alejandro got most of the cast eliminated!

-So LLENN is trying to get back to the mags, and Fukaziroh has to be the voice of reason. Fukaziroh. A Bullet Line centers on LLENN’s fucking skull, and is this the—

-Gunfire peppers off from another direction, and the Line swings away. She’s got a moment. She’s got confusion. She can use confusion! Fuka, suppressive booms, NOW. Out goes the spread, helping force team Memento Mori’s retreat…

-When it all settles, LLENN’s able to get those mags, and have a moment with the Boss. Eva’s wanting to take those bastards down…But first, she’d really like a duel with you, LLENN.

-…That has to wait. LLENN’s all uncertain about admitting it, but Fukaziroh just lays it all out. You know crazy-pants Pitohui yeah? She’s got some kinda suicide pact thing if she doesn’t win this or lose to LLENN in specific sooooooo hold your giant muscular horses. Eva takes that in, and…Karen-san, tell her what’s the deal here. Please.

-Opening!

-Cut to a green-haired girl sprinting through the battlefield…She was there when the rest of her team made an offer to work with Pito. Real-life hunters, cool, calm and professional, and willing to work for Pito and take solid second place, let her take the win. Greenhair, a pacifist in GGO, was the one objector…Pito agreed to a quick ceasefire for equal retreat…Then shot them all in the back of their fucking heads. The only one to escape was Green, who Pito saw as not even worth wasting a bullet on…

-Back in the now, Green knows exactly what she’s dealing with. She saw the look in Pito’s eyes. Some people get hesitant about hurting players in GGO, focusing on monsters. Some separate it from reality, letting the unreality of the game cover our baseline instincts. But Pito…Pito had the look of someone who was doing neither. The eyes of a killer.

-Someone like that…She has to stop them. Alone in the frozen North, she summons in her rifle…

-While Pito loads up with full kit. Everything she brought in. Pistols, armor, a sawed-off and a big beefy rifle with a drum mag…It’s time to get to work.

-Episode 10! “The Devil’s Comeback”

-Back at the Dome, the scan comes in, and LLENN sees just how fucked the situation is…She also gets word that the Machine Gun Lovers are down. Team T-S must’ve gotten them, with their fancy power armor…And KKHC still has their leader in the game…With PM4, SHINC, and MMTM, they’re down to six teams. This is a real tricky mess.

-While Eva rallies her crew. They’re going to strip PM4 down. Actually beating them isn’t gonna be easy, but they can do some real damage…

-And M watches them come in. He’s going to get on the big gun and do some long range sniping, which leaves Pito bored…SHINC spots him taking cover, and realize what they’re dealing with. A man doesn’t deploy his shield unnecessarily. He’s got a gun worth firing from this kind of range.

-He’s also got backup, as they start moving in…Eva pegs it as something anti-materiel. And they’re going to be working against real snipers, with no Bullet Lines. Be ready!

-M starts calling orders…And Eva does the same! NOW! CHARGE!

-They start moving in alternating groups, relying on sheer speed and constant changing up. At this distance, they have to lead those shots hard, and that means steady chaos. Doesn’t matter how accurate a man is if he can’t aim where you are or where you’ll be.

-M cooks a plan of feinting, letting his backup put out some Bullet Lines to force reactions…And it works, as Anna dodges the first shot, only to be fed into the seconding! She splits the fuck in half, losing all her HP in one go!

-But it’s not over. They’re inside of a mile. They’re moving fast. And they’re forcing M to waste a lot of ammo. They’re able to start getting into cover, close enough to use the rolling hills…They shouldn’t be able to work closely enough…But then Sophie spawns in a big rifle, clambers up onto a rock, and kneels…

-A shot hits clean in her head, but her body stays upright…And a shot comes in HARD from behind her, enough to shred a panel off of M’s shield! It splits his backup sniper’s head clean open, knocking him down hard! A fucking anti-tank rifle, a weapon too unwieldy to be used in normal combat…

-Which is why Kana came up with the sacrificial lamb plan. To turn her body into a wall. Sophie gave herself up. So Toma’s on the gun, unleashing their secret technique…The Anti-M ultimate weapon! EAT THIS!

-M’s shield loses another panel, as he desperately tries to counter…But nothing he can do can actually pierce Sophie’s body. If he can’t shoot past it…Toma locks in another round, and both snipers fire as one, their massive bullets passing each other…M’s hits Sophie dead center, while Toma’s shreds the last of his shield and the .50 cal! M is forced to abandon his kit entirely, running away…

-As Toma lets out a war cry! They’ve torn M’s shield apart! The sniper is de-shelled! It was all thanks to you, Sophie!!!

-Now it’s time to push in! They abandon the rifle and start pushing forward, as M takes up a spot with some half-decent cover and a lesser sniper rifle. They’re planning something. He just can’t figure out what, as he glances Tanya hard enough to force her to the dirt…

-But it’s too late for PM4. Because now it’s go time. LLENN, NOW!

-Their plan, was simple. A pincer strike between scans. Eva agreed immediately to help, refusing to let this go down the way Pito wanted. No deaths, not today. GGO is for fun, for teamwork and for the joy of battle. Not for loss and grief.

-So back in the Now. Fuka, bombardment! Fukaziroh dumps smoke and explosions in, and LLENN races in at full force…Only to catch a glint of a scope! Green’s in position, and she fires, unaware of how much this will fuck her up if she ever knows the consequences…The bullet hits before Pito can react, piercing her through and dropping her down!

-And then Green eats a burst from LLENN, who veered off and came in a moment too late.

-Down in the grass, M catches Pito before all her HP can drain, slamming a medkit into her. She was shot square through the eye, and yeahhhhh she’s having a mental breakdown as he pumps HP into her…M sobs, and sobs….But when it stops. She’s at one HP. She’s still alive. And she’s totally cracked, as M tries to get through to her, tries to get her to call it off…

-She’s not listening. She’s not listening at all. And that’s when the grunts realize, she should have disconnected. Every safety system in the world, every bit of post-SAO incident tech, is made specifically to prevent you from…

-She’s not on post-SAO tech.

-Somehow, somewhere, she got her hands on one of the old kits. Which are supposed to be banned, presumably on both ends. How the fuck did she even get a NerveGear to connect to GGO?!

-M’s got to start pulling them in for the cabin, as Eva can confirm Pito survived…Somehow. You can get in there and end this, LLENN. But it’s your call.

-…Full force. Tear PM4 apart! That, is, their, mission!

-But they’re not alone…MMTM is moving in with a full set of jeeps seeing their opportunity! It’s a final clash! YOU MOTHER FUCKERS! Pito is out cold, her HP slowly refilling…As one of the grunts comes to talk to M. He knows he’s just here to be quiet and follow orders…But boss-man, how far are you willing to go to protect her?

-As far as he has to.

-Roger that. Lock in. They’re going to hold the staircase, with their bodies if they have to. Safe travels and good shooting, boss-man. May they meet again on another battlefield.

-MMTM arrives, to find a grunt stepping out…With every grenade they have. Good day, gentleman. He pulls a pin and leaps forward, taking some of them with him as the bottom of the stairwell collapses. Second grunt is in with a shotgun, only to eat it too, and the last holds the line with just his fucking sidearm and a heavy trunk to block the path…

-While up top, M kisses Pito…And arms a grenade.

-What’s left of MMTM get up there in time to hear the kaboom…And to start dying in swaths, first by gunfire, then shotgun blasts, then a fucking lightsaber.

-Funny story.

-True story!

-GGO actually has melee weapons! They’re rare, they’re powerful, and barely anyone knows how to use one in this world of guns…But they exist. And Pito is armed with that deadly Photon Sword, as she steps through the rubble…

-Credits!

The Empire's Ghost by Isabelle Steiger is the first book in the Paths of Lantistyne series. An epic fantasy with returning magic, power-hungry rulers, and mysterious events.

The Empire's Ghost Summary

This is a super oversimplified summary. But there is so much that it will explain the gist of what sets everything in motion. Elgar is a very ambitious man and wants to unite the whole continent under one ruler. He has taken Valyanrend, Aurnis, and Lanvaldis under his rule. He just needs Reglay, Esthrades, and Issamira. It's been 3 years since Elgar took Lanvaldis. It took a lot more supplies and men to take Lanvaldis then originally anticipated. But now both are rested up and replenished. It is time to strike Reglay and Esthrades. But there are rumors that the new ruler in Esthrades can weld magic, so battle plans need to be perfect. But the ruler of Esthrades isn't the only rumor of magic. Elgar thinks he could get the upper hand if he would find and possess a possible magical item. If this item is what he thinks it to be he could easily unseat Esthrades. Until he gets Esthrades, Issamire with be impossible to overtake. So he turns his focus on finding this magical item and battle plans for Reglay. But like all wars, not everything goes as planned.

The Empire's Ghost Review

Characters The characters were kind of all over the board. There were some I really cared about. Like Seth, Seren, Lucius, and Roger kinda. Roger gets annoying but I think that is intended. Then there were some I had no idea why they were in the book. Like Monkey, Monkey's sister, at this point but I'm sure he has a big part to play later Shinsei. Kel at first I did not care about a all. But at the coronation, he changed and became an interesting one to watch. There are a lot of characters. It got to the point where I was logging the characters to tract them. Then halfway through it started introducing a whole new set of characters, I was like forget it because it was to much work. Atmosphere: This is where the book shined. The world-building was well thought out. Each area and people were unique to one another. You felt sad when someone would talk about a fallen city and lost culture that is now under Elgar's rule. Especially with Lucius who was from Aurnis. I found his culture super interesting. Writing/Plot/Logic The story is told from several different points of view. It jumps from person to person often, picking up where you left off but sometimes not. It can be hard to keep track of. There are also subplots that don't make sense to me at all. I'm assuming they will be explained in the coming books. I don't feel like the book ended. I don't feel like there was a strong enough conclusion. So if you just follow the storyline of Elgar figuring out who he will attack next then yes he does attack and then there was a result but that was kind of it for me. I don't need a nice neat ending where everything is explained but I do like more then what this book gave me. It is really slow to action for the first 60 something pages. I was pretty annoyed that there was a big build-up to a fight scene and then it cut to the end of the fight scene. If felt kind of gypped, for over 50 pages we are strung along with an adventure, and then we get to the end of it. Then she cuts to after the fight happens. I wanted to see what happened. How did they accomplish what they were set out to do? Nope, just the bloody mess after. That was super irritating. Intrigue

It wasn't until the coronation that I got super sucked in. Then a lot of characters got together. There was a good dialog. There was posturing, power plays, mysterious things started to be revealed. I would say this is where the story came alive. Enjoyment I did enjoy parts of this book. the second half much more than the first half. I also enjoyed reading it will the audiobook. I'm interest to see what the second book brings. I hope that it answers most of the questions I still have.

Reading Diary

I have started to make a chart of the characters. Page 45 Valaren's inner monolog is my favorite. "My Lord you are being-- Petulant or childish would try Elgar's patience needlessly, and even deliberately combative wasn't safe enough to risk." Varalen wasn't sure whether to laugh or to bang his head against the table, but he wisely decided against both. I herd this book was slow but man! Chapter 5 Finally we get some action! Jail Break P 67 Sneaky there Elgar. Sending Lucius and crew on a quest for a vaguely explain item that he doesn't trust his own guards to get. But holding their friend's hostage so they can steal it for there get out of jail free card. Finally some action!!!!! Page 90 Page 100 there are storylines that are still kind of stagnant and I don't yet understand. For example Kel has only whined about his sister having to marry a prince in another country to form an alliance. And so far that is his whole plotline. Shinsei has a mental episode but nothing is explained. Arianrod Margarine who is ruling Esthrades is super feared but we have only met her in the prologue. Totally digging Almsay. Seth's innocence is sweet! "I'd rather live the way I choose, without leaving anything I want undone because I'm too weak or scrupulous to accomplish it" Seren I'm wondering how Morgan and Broddock got unchained? Oh I get it nevermind. She skips over the shrine action and just skips to the conversation after? There better be a good reason for this. A little irritated but still digging Seren Almsay. p146 We are finally taken to Esthrades on p165 Seren was not entirely convinced. "When was the last time you held a blade?" Arianrod laughed. "Why, several hours ago, when I cut my cheese. It was a valiant battle, but I assure you the cheese came out the worse for it." p 176 Arianrod Margarine is great. More characters? How many more can this book have? I just got used to the first set of characters now there seems to be a whole new cast. Loving the coronation! Kel is holding his own! In today’s world, you can never have too many high quality cornerbacks and the Tigers are hoping to keep the backend of their defense well stocked.

Over the next 2 weeks 2-3ish indeterminate number of weeks, we will be taking a position by position look at the top targets on Auburn’s 2021 board. This is a first pass at who might be looking at Auburn the hardest this early in the cycle and whom Auburn might have the most interest in. However, recruiting is fluid and these lists will likely change.

It’s a new era for Auburn’s secondary. Gone are any DBs recruited by Will Muschamp. Stud recruiter Marcus Woodson is also no longer on the Plains meaning that moving forward the backend of Auburn’s defense is the sole property of Wesley McGriff. His DB class from his previous stint as Auburn’s DB coach hasn’t turned out great with Jordyn Peters the only member to see meaningful action to date. But last year’s class was outstanding and McGriff played a big role in Auburn’s ability to land blue chip DBs Chris Thompson and Marco Domio. The Tigers are likely to sign a large class given the departures from last season plus the expected ones to come over the next 2 seasons. Let’s see if Coach Crimedog can get it done in 2021.

5* Ga’Quincy McKinstry | 5’11” | 172 lbs | Pinson, AL

Recruitment

In the modern recruiting era, Auburn has never signed a 5* defensive back. They have come close a few times, specifically Andrew Booth just two cycles ago. But close doesn’t cut it in recruiting. With the proliferation of explosive passing attacks in the SEC, it’s important Auburn figures out a way to start landing some of the top DB talent in the country. The man they call Kool-Aid might be Auburn’s best chance to end that drought.

The Pinson Valley standout’s recruitment started when he was a freshman. He spent two years as Bo Nix’s teammate and last fall there was growing confidence Auburn could land the elite athlete. But as things typically do in recruiting, especially for elite instate DBs, things have begun to trend toward the Tide. A decision doesn’t appear to be coming in the near future which is probably good news for Auburn. Clemson, LSU and Tennessee are programs to keep an eye on as well.

Another interesting angle to this recruitment is McKinstry would like to also play basketball at the next level. Auburn, Florida and Kansas have not only offered him a football scholarship but a basketball one as well. I don’t believe Alabama has done the same so if that becomes an important part of McKinstry’s decision, the Tigers could have the edge there. Still, Alabama is likely the team in the best spot right now but Auburn will be in this until the end.

Scouting Report

The first thing that jumps out when watching McKinstry’s tape is his speed. An extremely fluid athlete in and out of his breaks, McKinstry has the top end speed to get past the defense as a wideout for big plays. On the defensive side, that translates into the ability to stay step for step with explosive wide receivers. He’s also got great ball skills undoubtedly helped by his time on the hardwood. He’s also not afraid of anyone and brings the swagger you want form your top cover corner. He will be day 1 impact player wherever he goes.

4* Nyland Green | 6’2” | 183 lbs | Covington, GA

Recruitment

Early on, Auburn looked to be a top choice for the Newton star but things have trended the wrong direction in recent months. UGA made a strong push but it’s actually Clemson right now that is likely the team to beat. Dabo’s squad has had tremendous success poaching the top DB prospects from the Peach State and are looking to do so again in 2021. The good news for Auburn is it doesn’t look like a decision is expected any time soon so if the good looking Tigers can get him back on campus this fall, they could get back into this race.

Scouting Report

It would not shock me if this kid ended up being the top rated CB of this 2021 class. A long athlete with elite burst, Green is everything you want in a shutdown corner. He’s got fluid hips, great length, outstanding instincts and the size to hang with any wideout. He’s versatile enough that he could play safety at the next level if needed but he strikes me as a future 1st round CB. Big time player.

4* Markevious Brown | 6’0” | 170 lbs | Bradenton, FL

Recruitment

This is a name to track in the coming months. Wesley McGriff is reportedly hard after the IMG standout and it seems the feelings are mutual. He dropped a top 7 a few months ago that did not include the Tigers but apparently that has changed. Auburn, Florida, Miami, Tennessee and Virginia Tech appear to be the top contenders at the moment but his list appears to be pretty fluid. But it’s clear he’s a top priority for the Tigers and they will work hard to get him on campus this fall.

Scouting Report

Brown transferred to IMG last season and didn’t get to see a ton of action so his tape is a bit limited. However, you can see from his sophomore film this kid is a baller. He excels in man coverage showing the ability to mirror the receiver, stay in phase and consistently make a play on the ball. I expect Brown to have a strong senior campaign and is a candidate to see his stock rise considerably this fall.

3* Kamari Lassiter | 5’11” | 165 lbs | Tuscaloosa, AL

Recruitment

Speaking of stock up, Lassiter’s recruitment has exploded this spring with offers coming fast and furious. Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Mississippi State have all offered in recent weeks adding to a list that already included Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and plenty of others. The Tigers appear to be a major factor in this race but the competition is stiff. It’s not easy to pluck big time players out of Saban’s backyard but Auburn will try. I expect the Tigers to land an official visit when things open back up.

Scouting Report

A productive two way player, Lassiter is a big play waiting to happen. Versatile, Lassiter could get a look at the Nickel at the next level given his combination of speed and physicality. But personally I think his future is on the outside. He spends a lot of time on an island with little help but seems to consistently win those matchups. I fully expect Lassiter to be a 247 Composite 4* before it’s all said and done.

3* Tar’Varish Dawson | 5’10” | 175 lbs | Lehigh Acres, FL

Recruitment

Auburn looks to be a top contender for one of the fastest players in the 2021 class. He dropped a top 6 at the end of April consisting of Auburn, South Carolina, UCF, Miami, Minnesota and Louisville. I think of those six, the three teams to watch are the Tigers, Gamecocks and Canes. He will likely be on campus as soon as possible and the Tigers are reportedly recruiting him to play both WR and DB something he’s very interested in doing.

Scouting Report

You aren’t going to outrun Dawson. Clocking in a 10.58 100 meter last spring, that speed translates to the football field. As a receiver, he’s a threat to take it to the house after the catch. As a DB, he excels playing with outside leverage, eyes on the QB and attacking the ball in the air. Interestingly, 247’s comp for Dawson is Javaris Davis and I could see him playing the same role for the Tigers. Sliding inside sometimes at the Nickel then bouncing back outside at CB. While I know he wants to play some offense at the next level, I think his future is likely on the defensive side.

3* Javon Bullard | 6’0” | 183 lbs | Milledgeville, GA

Recruitment

Auburn was the first SEC program to offer Bullard. Tennessee and Vanderbilt quickly followed while South Carolina could be the next to jump into the race. It’s early so it’s hard to tell where Bullard is on AU’s board but if the Tigers decide they want him, I think chances are good they snag the Peach State’s 60th ranked prospect.

Scouting Report

Bullard plays both ways for Baldwin High School but is likely a defensive back at the next level. A long, lanky athlete with good top end speed, Bullard isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty in the run game. Possessing a high motor, you are gonna get the best out of Bullard most every snap.

3* Kameron Grays | 6’1” | 194 lbs | Eight Mile, AL

Recruitment

When Grays landed an offer at Auburn’s Junior Day earlier this year, it looked like a commit could soon follow. The teammate of Auburn DT commit Lee Hunter, Grays never ended up pulling the trigger. Pretty soon after landing the offer, Marcus Woodson left for Tallahassee, FL and the Noles vaulted to the top of Grays list. Not much though has been reported on his recruitment since early April. If he pops in the near future, that’s likely good news for FSU but it doesn’t appear a decision is imminent.

Scouting Report

Grays is a big kid with nice speed and quickness. He plays both sides of the ball with a lot of his tape featuring his WR highlights. But he’s being recruited to play in the secondary at the next level. His offensive tape though shows a kid with the hip fluidity, ball skills and quickness to play cornerback at a high level in college.

3* Daniel Edwards | 5’11” | 155 lbs | Winter Park, FL

Recruitment

There was buzz a commit could be coming in early April. If so, it would likely had been good news for the Tigers but no announcement came. Still, Auburn is sitting pretty in this recruitment for the time being though I think there are questions over whether the man they call Snook is a take just yet. The DB board is hard to pin down at the moment but Edwards is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on in the coming months.

Scouting Report

One of the quicker players in this class, Edwards is Nickel or a corner at the next level. He will need to get bigger to play in the SEC but the frame is there to add muscle without losing his explosiveness. I think Edwards is someone that would have really benefited from the camp circuit in terms of his recruitment and evaluation. Don’t be surprised if his offer list blows up some later this fall.
