Together once more

This is basically Poppy and Epel's first meet after they attend diff schools and them just beung hopeless romantics fir the others.

The situation with Vil and his overblot wore Epel down more than he expected. Already being so exhausted from the fight, the pressure to form well wasn't helping. Nonetheless, he was on the stage already and the others were probably just as tired as he was so he wasn't planning on complaining.

By the looks of the audience, the performance was going smoothly as his eyes darted across the crowd trying to get a grasp of how they felt. Amidst all the people, he spotted a familiar brunette wearing her signature braids like she always had, her eyes fixated on him just as his were on hers. It couldn't be…

The defeat had left a bitter taste in Epel’s mouth as they had lost by one singular vote and he couldn't help but think that maybe if he had been a bit better they could have won. However he was quickly taken out of his train of thought by a voice calling out to him.

“EPEL!!”

Thin arms wrapped around his figure as the girl from before hugged him tight.

“P-Poppy?”

“How have you been! I haven't seen you in so long.”

Poppy had let go of Epel but now, taking a seat beside him.

“Not feelin’ too dandy- I mean, not the happiest right now but how did you enjoy the show? You were awfully quiet amongst all that cheering.”

“Of course I was! If I cheered too loud, I wouldn't have been able to hear you. ”

“Me?!”

Epel’s face immediately flushed red at Poppy's words. He let out a nervous cough, opting to change the subject to hide his embarrassment.

“So- uh you're here because of RSA right? To support Neige’s group I expect? ”

“No, I'm actually here because of a far more foolish reason I'm afraid. ”

“Oh and what's that?”

“... I just wanted to see you again. ”

As Poppy fidgeted with the hem of her dress, avoiding his gaze, Epel felt as the prior embarrassment returned. He was sure he was bright red with how hot his face felt. A few seconds later, Epel suddenly grabbed both of Poppy's hands, giving them a slight squeeze.

“If that's the case then- then… ”

Epel wasn't sure where sudden boldness came from as he thought over his sentence for a bit, before continuing.

“Why don't I show you around the festival…I missed you too, yknow.”

Epel couldn't help but smile at the way Poppy's face lit up and she nodded in agreement. The two began to run towards the stalls, the scene looking all too similar to their childhood.

Unexpected Admirer

As found as Poppy was of roses, constantly using ones made of fabric was a tedious task as they were harder to manage while performing due to all the delicate layers. So she opted for an easier but equally appealing option: bows.

Over the course of her shows, she had grown to love bows just the same as roses. Over time, it had unintentionally become her signature look as she scrolled through the posts about her, pointing out how she wore one in every outfit.

Her manager saw this as a great promotion opportunity, suggesting for her to collab with the boutique she bought her bows from since it would not only boost her popularity but her friend's business.

This ended with a successful marketing not only for Poppy but for Minnie too who admitted her sales had increased rapidly during this time.

"There is this one boy though, about your age I'd say that buys an awful lot fron her every since our collab. Reds and yellows seem to be his most common choice. I'd say he is a huge fan. "

"Aww. Thats so cute of him! Do you know who he is, by any chance? "

"He said his name was- oh wait never mind, there he is. "

Poppy heard the boutique's bell ring as she quickly turned to see who her admirer was. What she was not expecting was to see a boy with lavender hair looking back at her, embarrassed.

"Epel? "

"Oh uh Hey Pops-"

"Oh? You two know each other? "

"Mhm, Epel here is a childhood friends of mine though we haven't seen each other in a while speaking of which-"

Poppy immediately turned her attention back to Epel, jumping of her seat and pulling him into a hug wuth her arms hooked around his neck, giving him a squeeze.

"I've missed you so so much! How've you been, Eppy? "

" Same ol'. Look at you though makin' a name for yourself. "

"Oh c'mon. I'm still the same too, yknow?"

"If you say so though as much as I'd like to sit and chat more, meemaw told me to back soon but kets stay in touch, 'kay? "

"Ofcourse! "

Poppy unhooked her arms, giving Epel a warm smile as he began to walk away before stopping a few feat from her. Quickly he turned aroud and kissed Poppy's cheek and then rushed off saying goodbye.

"My my, I'd say that boy's feeling for you go beyond admiration~"

Delih came over to me and handed me this huge basket with all sorts of stuff! There's a pie, flowers and a... Wait does the pie have powdered salt on top instead of sugar..?

Isa originally gave me this super cute book! It had a funny looking bear with a hat as it's cover though when she saw Delih's gift, she told me to wait and walked off.

Pax was the first one to wish me today! I assume he knows it's my birthday since he greeted me with some flowers!

This all is a bit overwhelming frankly. Back home, it's usually just me, Charley, Epel and Granny.

Jack gave me this lamp today. Said it helps to grow plants inside via radiations! How cool!

Charley got me some new rose hair clips. I'm wearing them right now infact!

Rook has been giving me a weird look. I'm not sure what it is but I haven't seen Epel around. Whatever is going on, Delih is aware.

Funny thing is, Isa and Delih gave me.. Well... Um a set of adoption papers. She told me to get them signed by my Granny. They are for Pax, right?

Oh! I see Daisy in the crowd! Excuse me but I need to go greet her!

Epel got me this super cute apple plush just like the one he gave me when we were kids!

I really am thankful for everyone here. It makes me so happy that we are all together.

Have I tried everything? Oh no, not at all. There is too much food for me to handle. If I indulge myself this late at night, I won't be able to fall asleep.

Granny strictly told me that I must show her all the stuff I got. I plan on it right after the party.

Feet dragging across the school halls, Poppy made her way back to her dorm. Another day survived and since she didn't have classes tomorrow she could finally get her pills back.

It's not as if she hadn't slept at all, heavens no! But her sleep had been short and disturbed. So while she was mentally congratulating herself, a familiar voice sounded.

"Hey Pop! "

Sure enough her guess was right, after all only one person called her that.

"Hey Charley... "

As he caught up to her, Poppy looked to her side to be met with his cheeky grin as suddenly it dropped.

"Pop, what's up? "

"Nothing... Just haven't slept properly thats all. Ran out of my pills a few days ago."

"Yikes-No wonder you look so exhausted... Want me to run to the store and get 'em for you? "

"No, I'll go myself. I have some other stuff I have to buy too. "

"The atleast let me come with you. You look like you'll pass out any second. "

That wasn't far from the truth actually. She was drained physically and mentally. She was also worried she had began hallucinating. The mirror incident was not a dream after all and she had been hearing things last night. All of the same context. It would only repeat what she knew. As of the guilt wasn't consuming her already, the voices in her head would remind her of how her mother would have been alive, had Poppy listened.

"... Pop..? "

She snapped out of her thoughts turning her attention back to Charley as he gave her a pitiful look.

"Sorry I zoned out... "

It's all just in your mind. It's playing trick on you. This isnt real, this can't be real!

Poppy repeated these words in her head as her she ran. She was sure she had reached her limit and the thing chasing her was a hallucination. It had to be since others were so non-responsive.

But once a fear was been unlocked, a child can venture 100 times into the dark and still be scared of what lies inside.

So, her hand clutched her mage stone as she whispered her chant.

And with that, similar to her falling tears, the last bit of ink dripped consuming her entire form.

I can't even decide why Poppy would overblot and even if it happens, it would be in an AU and not story Canon

Poppy has a... Complex personality

She doesn't exactly hate herself, but the blame and guilt is there. Plus she is very bubbly all in all and due to her fuzzy memory, she pushes the death of her mother in the back of her mind. It only really comes back to the surface in forms of nightmares when she sleep.

She's conflicted on her own as it is.

She doesn't even use her UM that often. It's against her morals since she hates the idea of being manipulative. She only uses it when needed. Though she is less strict about it then Isa.

More so her UM uses minimal magic and doesn't accumulate blot that fast since unlike Jamil, her spell only targets part of the person.

The only reasons she'd overblot would be

-> she goes through the same scenerio again

-> someone around her is in danger

That would influence her to use magic on a larger scale.

Plus the memory relapse would result in her feeling fear, sadness and the guilt. So all conditions for overblotting would be present.
