     it’s not often nayeon found herself on the roof of the kt building— while heights weren’t a fear of hers, her balance proving to be fairly good thanks to the dance experience she’s built up over the years, there was still a natural clumsiness to her that’d always made nayeon extra cautious. now, however, nayeon isn’t worried about herself, not when her attention is solely focused on the boy now before, minding his own business as clouds of smoke lingered around him.

     “a vape, kook?” she questions quietly, not wanting to startle him too badly in case he hadn’t heard her come up to him before. nayeon was never one to judge, but smoking in any capacity had always been something she was against if only for health reasons. her brows furrow, a small frown on her lips, but she holds back any other remarks.

Sporting a comfortable set of gym wear Sohee praise the spring season, the warm weather a perfect end of the month of April. The crop top reveal toned abs yet allow for the chilly breeze to brush over her skin, leaving goosebumps as a result. It isn’t cold outside but ultimately, that wind cool her down nonetheless as she prepare a camera to record.

Sohee doesn’t have much confidence in her dancing skills. Now, she isn’t awful, but she’s far way from where she want to be, from where she need to be. That is why she decided to make this particular recording without a friendly audience, so that she can make so mistakes without someone watching behind the scenes. She want this to be perfect.

Not that it will anyway, because it’s meant to be a kkap version, she is supposed to look dorky and extra during the entire video. Yet, she found a quiet and abandoned corner of her beloved neighbourhood. The quiet part isn’t too necessary since she will put an audio file over the tape anyway but it’s nice nonetheless, that way she can concentrate well.

The first ten seconds she’s supposed to have a chair but instead she walk in a crouched kind of manner, her hands swing swiftly through their position in an expressive way. She isn’t given any time to adjust before the next song come up and it’s one of her favourites, ‘O’. Her moves shift from being soft to very sharp, most of the dance still done by the arms.

One more, two more, three more songs play from DBSK, including Rising sun. Only five to ten seconds are played of each song before the next start playing, which makes this somewhat of intense cardio session. Her stamina is high though, from running once or twice a day, so she’s planning to deliver the cover with a steady rate of energy. Next up is--

The first song up is ‘Miracle’, then “Mamacita”, then “Sorry Sorry”. The latter of these have an iconic dance that probably everyone know to heart, Sohee executing it better than she would have expected to. She’s having so much fun moving to the beat, making sure that she doesn’t slip up as she has little to no time preparing for the next song. 

It’s tiresome, but it’s so much fun. Sohee is smiling throughout the entire dance cover. There’s only one song left before switching over to a girl group, one of the most famous ones. CHICHI start off strong with a charismatic pose, arms crossing over the chest with a couple of nods of her hear. “Yeah, yeah,” she voice along as she follow the choreo.

‘Gee’ is another insanely famous song and Sohee know this too by heart, even more than all those other songs she’s been through already and the ones coming up. It feel as though it’s a strong insult should one not know the highlights of this particular song. If honest however, one of Sohee’s absolute favourite songs is ‘Hoot’ and that is a song away.

As she dance she make a mental note to make a vocal cover of ‘Hoot’, and had she had time to think any further she would ask herself why she hasn’t made one already. She has no time for that though, and the songs keep switching every five to ten seconds still. There is a lot of history to press into a humble four minutes, but it’s doable. Barely.

She hasn’t even come halfway through. One part of her regret doing this because it feels as if she’s been dancing forever but the other part of her love it, she love all of the groups that she is going through, although some of the songs aren’t her favourites. There are many that isn’t included like Son Dambi, Jung Nara, Kangta... but still, many are.

While new opportunities arrive, comeback preparations continue!

After getting familiar with their next title track, on October 7th they’ll be introduced to their b-side songs. This time, the leader Minji took part in the making of their album and helped with the writing and producing of ‘Sleepwalking’. They are expected to learn their lines in time, which will be found here. They’ll be taken to the recording studio on different dates to record their new songs. The girls will go in order of age. The one recording next is expected to wait in the room to make the process as smooth as possible. Once you’re done, go back to practice and tell the next one to go up.

Minji will continue to work towards her webdrama. On October 8th she’ll have her costume fittings, and on October 10th she’ll head out for a photoshoot to get the promotional side ready. The web drama will consist of 20 episodes ranging from 10 to 15 minutes in length. Due to this, the recording won’t take as long as it would for a bigger project. Recordings will start on a Tuesday, the 13th, and go until the 24th of November, taking a day break on Sunday, the 25th. They’ll be recording around three episodes a week with proper breaks for the cast and crew. The day of the release will be announced later on, aiming for the start of December.

Jennie and Joohyun will be approached by different companies on October 10th in the hopes that they’ll become their newest ambassadors. On October 15th, Jennie will go to an indoor set for a photoshoot with the famous fashion house Calvin Klein where she’ll get her pictures taken for promotion. Meanwhile, Joohyun will join Convex’s Taeyong and go to a different indoor set for a photoshoot with the bakery franchise Tous Les Jours. These photos will be shared by the brand later on and will be found digitally and on physical stores. They will be given a couple of the products home to enjoy and, most importantly, to promote.

Despite her busy schedule, Minji will be given the news on October 12th of an OST opportunity. The webdrama she will be part of ‘Noble, My Love’ has offered her to sing one of the OSTs for the show, ‘Nothing Is Easy’. She’ll be given the lyrics and the demo to practice with before she’ll be taken to the recording studio on October 20th.

As explained in the previous month, Eclipse will be joining the recordings of the biannual ISAC. They'll be taken to the event with their manager on October 24th and 25th and they should use this time to make friends, have fun and, of course, win the games to get more screen time. Once arriving, they will change into pink uniforms and pose for the press before the recording start. Jennie will be offered the opportunity to be a “ground” MC alongside Convex’s Seonghwa, meaning she’ll be giving reports and interviewing the competitors when she’s not playing. 

Along with the other idols, ECLIPSE was invited to the annual Samsung Halloween Party. The girls are expected to abuse of their creativity and NOVA has left their costume makers and makeup artist available for the girls to borrow help from. They’ll be taken to the event with their manager on October 31st and should use this time to enjoy themselves. All the members have their presence as obligatory. They’ll be sharing a table with NSG.

hello peeps!!!!!! its nana here, and if i stand correct, not many of you will actually be aware of this change! anyway, lets get right into it!

it’s been approved from the mods and jacerk will no longer be lee jihoon aka woozi from seventeen, but im changkyun aka i.m from monsta x! there were a few reasons for this change, and i think, after having jacerk as a muse for 5 years, he has grown a lot and changed. i am pretty sure people will ask about the whole height thing and his nickname pixie and here’s how it will go!

he basically got the idol glow up deluxe; he used to bleach and dye his hair a lot in every single colour of the rainbow, however once he joined kt ent, he decided to have a break. this was all the way back in june 2017. when he joined sphere in october 2017, he hit a really late growth spurt. he was 19 at the time when that happened to him, so yeah, he basically grew quite a bit right in front of the convex member’s eyes. he is also, 110% okay with the members bringing it up on tv and in front of people since he never.. really had a height complex. 

however, changkyun now stands at a solid 174cm! he is also born on the 26th of january 1998, which makes his age the same as before, 22! he is still the same jacerk he was before just.. you know, taller and you know, more of a demon i guess hahaha. this is a really long post and i will actually stop it here for now, thank you for your attention qwq

vibrations of her phone brings yoohyeon out of focus, eyes shifting from the high paced arurf game in front of her and down to the beaming screen that reveals a new text message; it’s all that is needed for yoohyeon to be executed in-game, a minor distraction that quickly lead to a serious misplacement on her behalf. “oh, fuck...” the curse came out as a mere breath as she picks up the device that ultimately became the cause of her death, only to read through all the incoming messages and realise that they all need a proper answer and thus, her full attention -- that of which, she cannot give right now. too much is at stake and for once, yoohyeon found a team that can actually work together. she leaves her mum on read, using the remaining few last seconds to complete her in-game purchases.

another text rolls in soon after but yoohyeon has already lost herself into what might, or might not, be the last team fight of the current game. with her screen unlocked, and messaging app open, she accidentally leave the newest message on read also. it is only a matter of seconds anyway so she figures that it won’t really matter. one kill down, two kills down, three kills down before someone manages to stop yoohyeon from wiping out the entire team, fed as she is she unfortunately has a counterpart in the opposite team’s midlaner-- but it isn’t at all enough, they manage to beat down the nexus so low that there is no returning now. while yoohyeon is dead and currently out of the game, her pulse is high as she watch her team mates destroy what is left of the other team’s nexus and secure their victory.

“YES!!!” she practically yells at the screen in front of her, after fourty minutes of intense battle they are finally done and managed to win the game. for a moment there yoohyeon forgot that she does, in fact, live with someone. somewhat embararssed by her outburst, she is glad that naeun is out for another few hours training at kt ent.

satisfied with the victory, yoohyeon brings her chair backwards to lean back in a more relaxed position. she figures that she most probably will be texting her mum from this point of, and it’s pointless to head back into the arurf queue. instead, she changes the game mode to play one last game for the day, lining up for a more chilled game of teamfight tacticts. what she did not take into consideration however, was that her mum might have wanted to call her instead and that is precisely what happens next. moments after yoohyeon accept the matchup, her phone vibrates once again to now reveal an incoming call. she sighs, she’s too tired to converse like this after a full weekend of dancing and having had a full day of work today, but she picks up the call nonetheless. she knows better than to not.

being cut short is not something that yoohyeon is used to and immediately, she notice that it’s uncharacteristically done so by her mum. completely taken aback she remains mute, and she listen to the manipulation that she has yet to realise takes place. a sense of panic hits her, the request is far from grand but there is absolutely no way that she can oblige--  her savings are gone and she won’t be paid for another month. of course, she has enough to pay for rent and food throughout the month of february, but not a dime more than that. if she gave up any more then she would go hungry and while that is something she often do for her family when they’re in need, that is something she has been doing for the past few months already. for once, she could use the satisfaction of being properly fed herself.

her offer is immediately disregarded and yoohyeon suddenly feels attacked when the tone of speech directed at her, is changed to a more hostile approach. she does realise that working extra hard this coming month won’t help them with the current dilemma, she does realise that they need a new refrigerator as soon as yesterday. how can she help, she wonder. perhaps it was foolish of her to buy those gym clothes, thoughts around the decision weighing her down like the worst call of her life. she couldn’t possibly have foreseen this happen though, that her parents’ refrigerator so happened to break down the very month she wanted to spoil herself-- ever since her birthday in january, yoohyeon has mustered the courage to think about herself for once and this is how she is repaid by fate. with shame.

yoohyeon stopped caring about the game before she even arrived to the first carousel, there’s absolutely no way around defeat and she already know that as she head into round three with minions. having mindlessly sold her first champion for gold and bought everything on roll, she has somehow manged to put together a team of three lights regardless of being scolded by a unreasonably angry mother. during the first half of a teamfight tacticts game she isn’t required to think very much and that alone is the sole reason she can keep from forgeiting already. she cannot for the bare life of her understand where the anger comes from, her heart beating fast as though her life is at stake due to another rush of panic. all yoohyeon wanted by buying the clothes was to pat herself on the shoulder, she deserved it.

as if yoohyeon needs the added stress right now, but she doesn’t mention that. it would be as useless to voice aloud as it would be to bring up the winter singer contest that she so bravely signed up for, and not to mention the second chance to audition with sphere entertainment. it would only anger her mum even more if she so much as brought highlight to that, and the fact that she turned down the offer for the sake of her family. all of this being a reason why she did decide that she could use a little something, a little prize for stepping out of her comfort zone-- performing for a live crowd, alone, is scary enough as it is, and then to turn down a company that possibly regretted letting her go in the first place... yoohyeon thought she earned the right to pamper herself. after all, she turned down her dream, for them.

allgedly, yoohyeon doesn’t care for her family. working two part time jobs and sending money home every month obviously doesn’t count for helping out, and neither does going hungry for days on end just to make sure that her parents and yoorim is fed properly. applying for jobs at any given time isn’t good enough either, despite recendly landing herself a new full time job at the escape room in gangnam with a steady income. she is speechless by the accusations and that of an order to be ashamed of herself-- for what, exactly...? for spending money on herself for once? for a moment she is willing to accept that her mum is right but no, she isn’t. concern, anxiety and devastation is rapidly replaced with her own anger. after everything that yoohyeon has done for her family, she does not deserve this treatment.

it feels like such a waste at this point and yoohyeon gasps for air, trying her very best to keep from hiccuping through whines that manages to escape. she can’t recall the last time that she cried and while some tears can be good and healthy, this one admittedly pains her more than anything else ever has. the mixture of pure agony and betrayal breaks her right there, on the phone with the person that she usually woud seek comfort when upset. once again, she’s so incredibly glad that naeun is out training, but for a different reason; she sobs loudly, her hand reaching up to cover a tear stained cheek as though hiding from the world-- not that it helps in any way or form, the damage has already been done. her game is long forgotten, and for all she cares she has already been taken enough damage to be out.

she doesn’t allow for a proper response, this time being the one to cut her mum short instead. sweat breaks through the fabric of her t-shirt as she finally end the call without so much as a good bye, immediately burrying her face in both hands as she weeps into the damp palms. it doesn’t feel good to cry this time, it isn’t at all a good cry. yoohyeon feels completely at loss, whatever is she going to do now? with this being the first fight that she has ever had with her mum, she suddenly realise that she don’t know how things will be after this. it doesn’t matter that her mum is trying to call her back now-- not once, not twice, not thrice. yoohyeon can’t hear it through her whimpers, not that she would have picked up anyway. it doesn’t matter that she texts her to apologise. the damage has certainly been done.

To her own surprise, she felt calm. Was it the concept, maybe? Pure (and innocent) was something that came naturally, that she felt comfortable with. Many thought it was easy. Compared to girl crush and the like? Anyone could do that! But in her opinion, it was difficult for its own reasons.

The clear vocals of the song suited Luda well, or so she was told by a friend. The singing alone wasn’t as much of a problem, but as she wanted to present both skills right at the beginning, she had to choose a song with a good (meaning difficult) choreo (after all, who knew how far whoever was judging these would watch? She had to show them what she got right from the first second!). So the manageable vocal parts instantly became a lot more difficult. And, because that wasn’t yet enough, she wanted her choice to portray the pure concept as well.

Maybe the dances weren’t as hard, but a lot of idols—she found, while researching songs—overacted. Tried to be too coy, too deer-eyed, resulting in them giving an unbelievable image. Others obviously looked uncomfortable with something so cute. Maybe it was still easier than other genres, but people didn’t give it enough credit.

The first part of the dance had been a bit easier, but after the little skip, her problem part followed. Whether the moves by themselves were all that difficult, was a different matter. But all the jumping, throwing her arms around and singing at the same time, made her happy that she’d decided to record everything on different days and ask a friend to help her putting everything together. The 30 seconds were over soon, and her old, white, frilly dress changed to a more elegant one that she borrowed from a friend.

And while she had problems with concepts like girl crush (though depending on the song) and especially with anything remotely sexy, this was very much her. Was it enough to debut? She couldn’t tell, honestly she wasn’t sure whether she was ready.

Originally, Luda hadn’t been sure whether to include this song or not. It wasn’t very pure, but it was indeed challenging, vocal-wise. Many high notes and all, so she decided to go for it. To show her singing skills.

5 years of training, even 10 weren’t unheard of. She was becoming worried, for whether she had a chance at all. Her contract would be over soon and aside from the worry of debuting, she couldn’t help but feel nervous at the thought of not being re-signed.

She’s never been in love, nor did she care much for it, her dream didn’t include that possibility until she’d be older. Except she did care deep down, with 22, almost 23, she’d never really been in love, never felt more than a crush and never been in a relationship. But pain she’d felt and that’s what she concentrated on, singing the song, putting her everything into it, until the last notes faded in almost a whisper.

Some of those she was on the mgas with already debuted and she was sure some more would soon follow. There was no guarantee for anything, which she’d known from the beginning, but living it was a bit different, still.

This time her dress changed into a cute white and blue outfit, part of which she’d recently bought for spring. If this didn’t scream pure, she didn’t know what would. This song, she’d luckily practised for an eval before, so she knew what she was in for. Like Windy Day it wasn’t exactly the easiest, but she still remembered much. At first she’d only wanted to show the dancing, then added the vocals of the 2nd half, but felt it looked awkward to only do half, so she ended up singing everything.

And yet, if Minhee hadn’t convinced her, she wouldn’t be here now, so maybe… she was the one holding herself back without realising it? Worried that if she got the chance, she’d mess up? It would be very much like her, she couldn’t deny.

On another note though, performing was still as wonderful as her first live stage on the mgas. The feeling of everything coming together as she practised more and more, all her efforts finally paying off as she flew over the stage, singing her heart out.

Exhausted from the constant practising, planning and general figuring out what would be best to do, she was happy once she was able to end the last song with a smile, though breathing more heavily than she’d hoped to show on camera. But it was done and after all the editing, it came out better than she’d hoped for. There was also something else she noticed while watching the finished video—Luda wore an old dress, then a borrowed one and finally some new items, paired with a blue blouse. It’s almost as though she was prepared for marriage. And who knew? Maybe she’d “marry” into a new company and finally a group to debut with.

A beautiful woman in her early 30s waltzes towards you with a cordial smile. It’s from the pocket of her white lab coat that she takes a business card from as she stops in front of you. “Hello! I hope you got to enjoy the event.” Despite the stethoscope hanging on her neck, it’s clear it’s only part of her improvised costume. “I work for KT Entertainment and I think you could bring something interesting to the company.” This time, she hands the card to you and gives you a second to check the informations. “Call us if you’d like to schedule an audition.” She nods and walks away.

she hadn’t noticed the woman until she was at her side, a business card between two fingers and a too polite smile stretching thin lips. siyeon’s too busy messing with the sleeve of her costume, wondering how long it can possibly take lee jeno to use the bathroom. a second feels like a minute, a minute like an hour, when all she wants to do is curl into his body heat and drag him to each and every stall to make their time together last as long as possible. it’s easy to get lost in her thoughts when there’s a million and one things to worry about ( does he actually like her costume or was he just being nice? does he really want to be here with her? why is she so much of a coward? ), so a strange woman watching her is little concern to her. perhaps it is any day, any time. siyeon tries not to bother herself with others’ problems — strangers, at least.

“uh,” she’s a little stunned. there’s so many words on the tip of her tongue but for the sake of peace, she just smiles, an awkward rounding of her cheeks and flash of her teeth. it doesn’t last long, fades away when she bows in greeting. “thanks.” she takes it, even if she doesn’t really intend to look at it. she must’ve left a really strong impression on kt during her short time on the mgas, for them to completely forget about her participation already and offer her the chance to audition. she’s not sure what feels worse; thinking that they’d wiped any memory of her from their records, or that she’d essentially been scouted for being pretty — which is, of course, true, but not exactly the most humbling thing. she’s always been pretty, but she’s rarely been talented, never smart. 

she dips her head once more, barely gets to say a word in reply before the woman is leaving again, likely to hand out more cards to unsuspecting people just trying to have a good time. maybe to others it’ll make their night, but for siyeon, it fills every part of her possible with guilt. she shouldn’t even have gone on the mgas, let alone try for this. her parents had brought her back from england to look after her grandmother, not to go frolicking off in an entertainment company from dawn til dusk and leave the elderly woman alone all day. if something happened to her whilst she was potentially wasting her youth away ( because who knows if she’d ever debut? especially if all she’ll ever be is a pretty face ), she’d never forgive herself. 

she’s lucky she spots jeno coming back towards her before he can get close enough to see. she’d been planning to throw it in the bin before he came back, but instead, she quickly stuffs it and her phone in her bag and offers him a big, bright smile. it’s fine. she’s here to have a good time with him, not to worry about the what ifs and her parent problems. 

it’s far from her mind for the next three weeks until her grandmother finds the card on her desk whilst looking for god knows what. ( siyeon’s not so concerned about the invasion of her privacy and more about when she’s going to escape the guilt overwhelming her from every angle. she can’t go out because it’s her duty to be here to care for her grandmother. she can’t stay in because she’s smothering the woman. she can’t make her own decisions, her own mistakes. she’s expected to do everything at once and when her grandmother closes the door behind her, words hanging in the air, she cries. )

Their debut promotions continue on until the 25th of this month. Of course, this means as the first formation as NSG U.

Before that can happen, their focus will have to focus on their second unit: NSG 127. Unlike U, 127 is supposed to be a fixed unit, as in there won’t be a constant change in members for each release. The six members who previously released ‘The 7th Sense’ will compose the first members of NSG 127, but they won’t be the only ones.

One of KT trainees will officially be added to NSG’s lineup: Jeon Jeongguk. He’ll be the seventh member of NSG 127. Jeongguk will get to move into the official group dorm starting this month. A new distribution of ‘Firetruck’ is handed to them on October 14th. While they are still promoting their first release, they are told to learn any new lines they might have gotten. Their previous lines were barely touched, so they should already be familiar with most, if not all of their lines already. They will also have to practice the choreography for the song. 

On October 16th, they receive their b-sides for their first mini-album. Line distributions will be added here as soon as possible. They’ll record the songs next month.

As explained in the previous month, NSG U will be joining the recordings of the biannual ISAC. They'll be taken to the event with their manager on October 24th and 25th and they should use this time to make friends, have fun and, of course, win the games to get more screen time. Once arriving, they will change into pink uniforms and pose for the press before the recording start.

Along with the other idols, NSG U was invited to the annual Samsung Halloween Party. The boys are expected to abuse of their creativity and KT has left their costume makers and makeup artist available for the boys to borrow help from. They’ll be taken to the event with their manager on October 31st and should use this time to enjoy themselves. All the members have their presence as obligatory. They’ll be sharing a table with ECLIPSE.

On November 2nd, NSG 127 will go to the hair salon to get their styling for their upcoming debut, or just to make sure their hair is in good condition. They’ll all be going together in one morning trip. Members who changed their hairstyles are told not to reveal them to the public until their next official public appearance.

what would be rkbyunbaek’s anniversary be without me making a post about it?? usually i make these long sappy posts but this year i thought i do something a little different bc i think three years is a very special time -- for me, at least. ( i put together a sort-of little stats post about him with some info that i partially took from @yutark‘s post. ) who would’ve thought that i would keep this boy for this long when i didn’t even want to join this roleplay back then when i did? this is also special because it’s not only rkbyunbaek’s third anniversary in rookies but mine as well, as he was my first muse here. 😊 💖 even though, i have been a lot more busy due to my job and getting more responsibilities there over the past year and less around on dash and my krp twitter -- resulting in less plotting and more last-minute writing -- i think we’ve been doing really well. as well as i had my own struggles as a writer, baekhyun had some set-backs in his development and a lot of growth at the same time in other areas since his last anniversary and i’m just so proud of him and glad that i can be with him every step of the way ... . he’s a very special muse to me. thank you as always, to the amazing muns i was able to meet here thoughout the years and to the awesome friends i made and same goes for rkbyunbaek ; thank you to all his friends and all the other relationships who make every single day of his life in this roleplay better.
