It was impossible to determine the nature of Dottore's actions in the same way that it was impossible to determine the nature of an animal's or a force of nature. Was he doing something out of a rare spark of kindness? For an EXPERIMENT? Simply because he could? Does an animal kill for food or pleasure? Or simply because it can? Anyone could make an argument for any option regardless of if it was Dottore or the animal that was at the heart of the debate.

" I DIDN'T kill him. " Dottore remarks in a rather matter-of-fact tone while gazing down to the mangled form of Albert that laid on the ground between them. " He's still quite conscious. That was not to say he wasn't in POOR shape though. Indeed, this Albert looked like he'd been in the jaws of a Rishboland Tiger. He doesn't so much as glance downwards when Albert gives a pathetic noise. Should he have removed this man's vocal cords? It would have been EASY enough, though he knew quite well the man's throat would not be capable of recovery for a long while as it was even now..

( With the mask on, it is hard to decipher his exact expression, but it is a gesture he often makes when inquiring to another's perspective - she should know it well. ) " You are not satisfied with this outcome. " Those in Snezhnaya or even the deserts of Sumeru would welcome such an offering.

it’s nearly three in the morning  ,  &  victor hasn’t been able to get a  wink  of sleep.  his rotom phone  ever  so helpfully reminds him of the championship bracket starting tomorrow  ,  &  victor’s never wanted to  crack  his phone more than this moment.  how could he  possibly  get any sleep after everything that’s happened ??

how were they expected to walk away from the edge of apocalypse like it was just another  bloody  day in hammerlocke ??

so he  fidgets  ,  tossing  &  turning until he can’t take it anymore.  the idea of it won’t leave him alone.  what if zacian  &  zamazenta hadn’t shown up when they had  ,  what if they hadn’t been strong enough to defeat eternatus  ,  what if what if what if--

it seems he hadn’t quite outgrown his  crybaby  phase after all.  he hears a knock on his door  &  quickly wipes his face with his  hands  ,  hearing the door open.  he hides his face in his hat for a moment until he hears gloria step in the room  &  he lets out a shaky  sigh  ,  lowering his hat to speak.

• This blog is very chilled, selective and low activity, meaning that I only write with mutuals for my own state of mind. I work and have a busy life outside of tumblr which takes priority, so I cannot write with everyone, plus I do practice mains and exclusives — although I am picky about this.

• A couple of notes about my portrayal of Jack: I draw on both movie & book canon, primarily the trilogy and Ann Crispin’s The Price of Freedom, the latter of which concerns Jack’s past, although I do borrow sparingly from other sources across extended canon. He is much more than the witty rogue with a fondness for rum that he is often dismissed as and I have been writing him long enough to develop him far beyond the scope of his canon; I therefore ask that you please respect this and my reasons for being picky when it comes to incorporating certain ‘canon’ established in Dead Men Tell No Tales in particular.

• I have also been around the block when it comes to Jack; I have been writing him for more than nine years now, and in that time I have replied to many, many generic, non-plotted starters where muses approach Jack in a tavern to ask to join his crew/ask him for help etc. These kind of spontaneous threads just do not spark joy or excite Jack's muse any longer and therefore I cannot guarantee that you will receive a prompt response ( or a response at all ) if you throw one my way. So what I am saying effectively is that I am primarily plotting based here — the more you plot with me, even if it's just initially to establish a jumping off point, the more likely Jack's flighty af muse will stick and we can write all of the wonderful things together!

• I do not care to see call out posts or any other kind of drama. I will unfollow and potentially block if I see it on my dash: I am here to write, not to engage in tumblr politics.

• I am multiship and Jack is bisexual, however I tend to be picky about shipping — ic and ooc chemistry is key, and just because Jack is a promiscuous muse, do not assume that means that he will jump into bed or emotionally invest with absolutely anyone. Likewise, just because Jack is a certified flirt, do not take that to mean I am forcing a ship on you or your muse. He flirts with everyone.

• Usual Tumblr etiquette applies. Please don’t godmod, don’t rush me on replies as I am very slow, please make sure meme replies are transferred over to a new post etc etc.

• NSFW may appear from time to time, as well as certain dark topics considering that Jack is a pirate and there are potentially triggering events within his canon, such as child abuse. Mallymkun is a canon character from Alice in Wonderland, and her portrayal is a mix of headcanons, various books, and movie lore. All details vary based on verse, and I'm happy to write her into crossovers or AUs.

Although Dottore's reputation was a rather COMPLICATED one. After all, he was the one who slayed Ursa and granted peace to the lands of Mondstadt. For that, he is both hero and monster. Hundreds of men had tried to slay Ursa with no success. What kind of monster was Dottore that he could single-handedly slay the beast? There was admiration as much as there was FEAR in the same way that people could admire and fear the apex predators of the world. Dottore was like the monster that feasted upon those predators who had no inkling to what being PREY was like.

There was also that matter of him being a Fatui Harbinger; the second one if he is precise. ( Or rather, many hims as the second, but PRIME carried the main title. ) That alone brought a lot of conflict. Rage, fear, distrust.

So how do people make peace with the conflict of hero and enemy? The same way an animal does — that is to say, whatever promotes survival. In this case, as in many cases, it is fear that reigns supreme. After all, humans, despite their proclamations otherwise, were just animals themselves at their cores. Nature dictates that creatures do what will facilitate survival.

victor  sputters  around a mouthful of tea  ,  spitting it out  &  feeling it drip down his chin.  sure  ,  gloria  calling him out on it was  one  thing  ,  but  bede  of all people ??  he was  not  prepared to deal with this conversation with  him  .  fumbling slightly  ,  victor grabs a napkin  &  wipes up the mess he’s made  ,  feeling his ears  burn  red  ,  just like his face.  in the seat next to him  ,  raboot chatters worriedly  ,  tugging at victor’s sleeve.  giving his partner a nod  ,  victor then turns back to bede  ,  who looks so utterly  tired  by a conversation that  he  started.

after a few more moments  ,  victor gives up  ,  hiding his face in his hands with a  groan  .  was  everyone  in galar so deadset on interfering in his love life ??  gloria he could handle  ,  it was one thing for his  sister  to tease him about his crush.  even the occasional  ,  affectionate jab from his  mum  he could handle.  but not from  outsiders  .  he doubted  hop  got these same kinds of questions. 

‘ so i have a crush, so what ??  it’s just that, it’ll go away. ’ 

except it  hasn’t  ,  not then  &  certainly  not now.  he  sighs  into his hands  ,  dragging them down his face to reveal a deepset  frown  in place of his usual cheer.  he really wasn’t about to lose his  best friend  over some stupid  feelings  .  &  so  what  if sometimes his feelings got the best of him ??  as long as hop didn’t catch wind  ,  victor was sure it was  fine  . 

‘ why’s everyone on my case about it ??  arceus almighty, i feel like i’m in some cheesy soap my mum watches. ’ 

talking about his feelings never seemed to make them go away  ,  &  he  certainly  wasn’t about to  confess  them  ,  not anytime soon.  hop was his  best friend  ,  &  victor couldn’t stand the thought of  losing  him over something like this.

A little fact: Kyomushugi has two moons! That’s it that’s the post I just wanted to say that cause a world having two moons is cool also it’s on purpose considering the two moons are kinda representative Akio and Hitori ahahahaha-
