𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧

Simeon is the quiet jealous type. Out of all of the Obey Me characters, he has the strongest moral compass and in turn, the strongest guilty conscience. He can’t stand being jealous; he doesn’t know how to handle the mixed feeling of anger and insecurity, and to act out based on his own unpleasant emotions would be so very un-angel-like of him

So when he’s jealous, Simeon can sometimes retreat into himself and bottle it up. He doesn’t tend to do this in other situations, so it’s pretty noticeable when he’s jealous. He is a lot less talkative, less affectionate, and clearly trying to work through something internally

It never works though – everything has to come out eventually, whether for better or worse. Simeon almost becomes a little bit petty after holding in his jealousy for a while, especially if the situation is ongoing. If there is someone in your life consistently taking your attention away from him and threatening his status as your one and only, then there is going to be a price to pay. While he is able to carry on and smile to this person’s face, he is quietly sabotaging them in subtle ways

In moments where he doesn’t know how to restrain himself any longer, Simeon tries to snatch you away so that he can save face, and also his pride. The moment that he can see that someone is clearly bothering you or has overstayed their welcome, he’s whisking you away to safety without a moment’s notice. Since he’s so well composed, you often can’t even tell that he isn’t being genuine when you takes your wrist to lead you to something he is just dying to show you

When in the moment, you can tell Simeon is jealous by the way he suddenly becomes jittery and eager to leave the scene with you. His smile falters, and his expression turns, and he can’t seem to keep both feet still. He can’t take his eyes off you, either, and it’s almost as if it’s taking every but of his inner strength to keep from pulling you close to him

These are more subtle movements that allow him to remain composed to the public, but knowing Simeon so intimately, it’s clear to see that something is up. He’s prideful though, and embarrassed, so it takes a great deal of coaxing from him to ever admit that he was jealous. The way he sees things, if he is really secure in your relationship then he should have no reason to worry, and he never wants to blame you, so it’s a feeling that he shoves deep inside. No matter what his consciousness tells him though, he can’t but feel envious when he sees other people stealing your time and attention

𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐨

Diavolo is by far the most straightforward in his jealousy. Unlike Simeon, Diavolo is more confident in his feelings and can pinpoint his exact emotions without much deliberation. He’s completely willing to admit to you when he is jealous; not only does he have nothing to hide, but he wants to communicate with you and prevent things like this from happening again. Come on, you don’t want him to be stuck feeling so jealous and helpless, right?

He’s the demon prince, so he’s fully expected to remain collected and composed in almost every imaginable situation. It is very rare for Diavolo to lose his temper, and it’s something you may very well never see. It’s all a facade, though. While he may be able to continue being his outwardly jovial and expressive self, it doesn’t change how he feels on the inside

Diavolo when jealous is controlling. It’s in his blood to lead and command, and there is hardly any exception. He wants to steer the situation into one that benefits him the most, and he does so with a laugh. He’s fiercely intimidating – he exudes power and dominance, and he’s so confident that you can’t help but believe that there’s no way he won’t come out on top, no matter the situation. To his enemies, his laugh can be terrifying

When he’s jealous, he’s going to tell you straight up. Sometimes it’s verbally, and other times it’s through physical cues. He’ll never ask you to stop doing something or interacting with someone, but that doesn’t mean he won’t try to stop the other party’s involvement on their end. Intimidation is a breeze for Diavolo; he doesn’t even have to do anything out of pocket or make a threat to leave someone shaking in fear, and my god does he abuse this

Anyone stealing your attention from him can expect Diavolo to join the conversation in seemingly good spirits, only to feel him glaring wide eyed daggers at them for far too long for comfort. It’s crazy how he can convey displeasure through and otherwise lively and full expression

Diavolo communicates his jealousy in the moment to you through physical touches that aren’t out of character for him, but are slightly different enough to let you know something’s up. While gently holding hands, or having his arm wrapped around your waist may look very casual and natural for a couple as established as you are, you can tell from his sudden need to be close to you that he’s feeling envious

This is definitely more from Lucifer’s perspective. In-game he definitely doesn’t like to be vulnerable, which is an issue between him and Cinna (a huge issue, frankly). He gets better with each season so I suppose this would be the aspect of him showing affection more clearly over time.

Definitely from Mammon’s perspective lmao. Mammon is a tsundere with MC in-game but has been described as basically a sex god in the past so he clearly only acts ridiculous when he likes someone (and has conflicting feelings) like he seems to in game. He wants to impress them, but kind of makes a fool of himself in the process quite often. Denying his feelings (whether because that’s just how he processes romantic feelings or because of fear of another Lilith-like event) is his go-to, though he is well aware he is in love. He wants Cinna to say something first, but they don’t fall in love nearly as fast as he does. Mammon’s frustration is real. (Sorry Mammon.)

There’s literally no escaping anxiety for either of these two, but as Cinna is better learning to take care of themself, Levi is being taken into this as well (this goes for Barbatos and Asmodeus too, frankly, but this section isn’t about them). Cinna won’t let Levi get away with negative self-talk, and they expect him to call them out when they slip up as well. Accepting their own issues is key here, and Cinna is dragging Levi kicking and screaming if they have to at a certain point tbh.

Both perspectives, I think. Satan and Cinna bond a lot after Cinna learns to adjust to his wrath, and Cinna confides in him about their mental illness/trauma, gender dysphoria, and feeling broken before anyone else. They both share conflicting feelings towards Lucifer, and have identity issues (for different reasons of course). Of course, they also share a love of literature and cats (and vengeance). They feel they can rely on each other, even if at first Cinna is a bit on edge with Satan. It’s a bit surprising (or perhaps not) that Asmodeus was the first to be romantically involved with Cinna.

This is from both sides. Asmodeus definitely would believe Cinna is only interested because of his status of avatar of lust, and Cinna definitely would think Asmodeus is only interested because they’re an easy target (in the beginning of their relationship). They would be sexually involved first before Cinna ends up realizing they actually like Asmodeus romantically. It’s especially a slow burn romantically since sexual and romantic attraction aren’t necessarily related for either of them (plus it seems like Asmodeus isn’t even used to someone being genuinely interested in him).

Both sides but mostly from Barbatos’ perspective. Wanting attention, wanting the love that Cinna seems to have, but unable to get himself to grasp it (at first). They definitely are slow burn altogether since Cinna gets super nervous about Barbatos, and Barbatos isn’t sure how Cinna feels. They both think about each other a lot until they end up actually addressing their feelings for each other, which ends up becoming an improvement for both of them.

This is kinda weird tbh…? It’s like a push and pull of both perspectives. Lesson 16 and lesson 38 (& 75) make them both change for better or worse, and as time goes on they feel different but intertwined with each other all the same. They become closer through their respective hurdles and have in some ways abandoned their expectations given by each other as well as those surrounding them. Their love remains despite it all.

Both perspectives…? Probably more Solomon. They both end up closer because they’re humans, but also Cinna becoming Solomon’s apprentice. With the fact that Cinna is mortal (for now…), Solomon has to accept they are temporary in his life. He feels happier having someone in his life for genuine companionship, and Cinna loves his company. Solomon’s romantic feelings are on the back burner because of Cinna’s mortality (and apparent lack of romantic interest in him).

I really wanted to keep them all with lyrics but honestly I think this fits Raphael and Cinna well. Raphael slowly letting Cinna in, getting comfortable with them, and eventually they’re romantically involved (probably past season 4). Bonding over small things and admiring each other in small ways until it’s possibly something more.

I literally had to rely on the scraps of Thirteen they gave us in season four and my headcanons for this decision. She had the least amount of screentime of the new three ugh. Anyways, I feel like this fits Cinna and Thirteen! Thirteen is a bit sassy and always making traps and trying to kill Solomon. Cinna frankly just finds her interesting honestly. They might get involved at some point but in-game stuff isn’t helping a lot here.

To his surprise, you had your calm moments but you also had your energetic moments where you and Mammon would cause problems upon problems around the house

To say you got annoying quickly would be an understatement, but weirdly, he saw you as his own kid and he did anything to protect you

If you were upset, he was straight at your side with a cup of hot chocolate and asking who made you upset, just like a worried parent would

He felt so relieved when after a couple months passed you began to calm down and sit with him and just talk about life and how you’re handling RAD

The first time you gave him a hug he was genuinely surprised and wasn’t sure what to do but he honestly could’ve cried

As soon as he saw you he just went straight to the chihuahua jokes. He loved your size cause it meant he could use you as his arm rest whenever he wanted

Immediately took you under his wing and became an older brother figure to you, keeping you safe and rarely letting anyone touch you

He’s like the cool older brother you’ve always wanted who buys you little gifts every now and again as a surprise and makes you laugh all the time

He loves how energetic you are and how much fun you two have together tormenting his brothers

Sort of just attempted to avoid you the first couple days but you kept on following him, asking him so many questions

But after a while, he began to gradually warm up to you and even shared some of his books with you and read them to you when you had trouble sleeping

The bond he has with you isn’t exactly brotherly, it’s more like the chill uncle that gives you extremely old shit that you never knew you needed

He lowkey protects you with his life though. If someone says something mean to you, he’s the first person who’s at your aid

If you’re upset, he’ll sort that problem out super fast. You won’t be sad on his watch

Didn’t know how to respond the first time you gave him a hug so he pat your head and then it kinda stuck so now whenever you hug him, he gives your head a gentle pat

Nobody really thought having you around Asmo was a good idea, but actually, you two weren’t a bad match

He definitely without a doubt had that favourite gay brother vibe where he’d dress you up pretty and talk to you about relationships and emotions

He always made you feel good about yourself and made it his mission to never see you sad or lonely

If you ever were, he’ll be like your personal servant until you weren’t. Gifts, words of affirmation, quality time, he’d do anything to see you stay happy

Brought you gifts home occasionally and asked you to try them on if the gift was clothes or accessories and let you try his perfume and lip gloss from time to time

Seeing you gradually grow as you became more comfortable with his brothers and him was such a proud moment for him

Same with Asmo, nobody thought it was a good idea being around him, especially with his tendencies to eat just about anything

But he was alright with you, he walmed up to you pretty quick and soon took you under his wing like he had another little sibling to look after

He got so worried if you were upset and even got a little upset himself, so he’d spent more time with you and tell you how great you are until you were happy

If you asked him to, he’d lift you up onto his shoulders and walk around with you just to hear you laugh and feel so tall compared to all the others

Watching you settle down from being this once energetic kid to a calmer one was heartwarming to him and he now enjoys nothing more than sitting back, sharing snacks and throwing popcorn into your mouth when you two watch a movie

He actually cried when you hugged him, no joke, this man was close to sobbing

It’s not like he ever actually sees any of his brothers anyway since he sleeps so much, but you just wouldn’t leave him alone for some reason

Sometimes he’d unknowingly wake up to you on the opposite side of the bed after joining him in a nap or on the floor playing on your phone waiting for him to wake up so you could talk to him

After a while, he sort of just got used to you being around him and even enjoyed waking up to find you laying on the ground on your phone

Sometimes you were a bit too energetic for his liking but spending the nights awake with you were always his favourite parts of the day

Once he found you sat in a ball on his floor crying and he’d never gotten up from a nap faster as he sat next to you with a blanket, continuously telling you jokes until you finally smiled

Wasn’t too bothered about you hugging him for the first time, he just smiled, pat your head and went back to sleep

Diavolo

Never expected such a young person to be the new exchange student but he welcomed you with open arms either way

He found it interesting how you didn’t fear any of them at first glance so visited you often to check up on you

Eventually Diavolo visited every day, asking you about RAD and life in the Devildom and even brought you cakes that Barbatos made sometimes

He became a dad figure to you, protecting you and giving you special Prince privileges like allowing you to come over any time you liked

Couldn’t stand the days you came over with a frown on your face from having a bad day at RAD and made sure you were totally comfortable and happy by his side for the rest of the day

It was always a pleasure to see you come over with Barbatos by your side and smile so widely when you see him, it made his heart ache

He may’ve gotten too excited when you first hugged him and squeezed you a bit too hard. The man hasn’t hugged anyone in a while though so can you blame him?

Barbatos

Never expected a human this young to pop out of the portal

But like everybody else, he accepted you as part of the Devildom now and was the very first person to send you a welcome text

He slowly began to become interested in you and visited from time to time; bringing round treats that he’d made at the castle

Schedules little cooking days with you and Luke and loves how you both help him in the kitchen and adores how much you smile when you apply icing to your cakes

Becomes the person you go to when you have something on your mind and he normally drops everything when you come to visit just so he can talk to you

Seeing you sad makes him sad too, so he helps you as best as he can, no matter what he was previously doing. You’re what’s most important right now

Hugs aren’t particularly his thing but a hug from you always makes his day so much better

Another child? He’s sorta glad it’s not him who has to look after you since he already has Luke

Well in the end, he sorta does mainly look after you after the amount of times you visit him unannounced

He’s without a doubt the sweet and accepting dad figure to you as he always listens and he understands and he always knows how to cheer you up

You won’t be sad for long with him by your side, he’s just got that vibe about him. It’s imposible to stay upset

Takes you to little cafés when you’re sad and likes to join you and Luke when you’re cooking with Barbatos

Gets emotional when he sees you grow to become apart of every ones life and become so at home and attached to everyone around you

His heart hurt when he sees his new friend sad, so he asks Simeon if he could take the two of you to get your favourite treats and he’s relieved when he sees you smile again

His favourite days are when you two bake cakes with Barbatos, he likes hanging around with you because you make everything more fun

Couldn’t believe it when you hugged him for the first time and couldn’t help hugging you tighter so it was like watching two little kids see eachother for the first time in months

Lucifer

Who do I need to punish!? 

Then a line of questions follows. Who would tire you out to this point? Is Devildom getting to you? Does he need to send you back to your world? What will he tell Diavolo?

Lucifer doesn't know where to start, but then Simeon hints that he and his brothers are the reason behind your fatigue.

He swallows his pride and let's guilt take over. How could he be so careless? He's supposed to be watching over you, yet...

Lucifer calls his brothers for an emergency meeting and explains the situation to them. All the demons feel guilty and decide to write an apology letter to you. 

Once you wake up, Lucifer hands you the letters and asks you to take it easy for the time being.

If any of his brothers dare to fight in front of you, he will glare them down until they shrink into a corner. 

Mammon

OH MY DEVIL, SHE IS DEAD!

Mammon runs around the House of Lamentation crying and calling his brothers while yelling that you're dead. 

All the demons drop everything and rush to your room. Lucifer checks on you while Satan hits Mammon upside the head for scaring them.

Once he learns that you're just sleeping, he calms down a bit but is still worried. 

Mammon waits for you to wake up next to your bed. He doesn't even leave the room to sleep or eat. Beel has to bring him food half-eaten food. 

When you wake up, he greets you with a bone-crushing hug and tears in his eyes. Then he asks if you're okay and what happened. He adds that he was afraid that he lost you.

If you choose to tell him the truth, he will be upset at himself for letting this happen to you. Mammon will promise that he will not cause you any trouble. 

He doesn't tell you this, but Mammon got into a habit of watching you sleep. So sometimes, at night, he sneaks into your room and sleeps there. 

Levi

NO NO NO NO NO!!! This can't be happening! 

Levi starts panicking, then freezes, then starts panicking again. Blood is rushing to his mind, and he feels dizzy. 

Did I do something to hurt her? Did someone else hurt her? Did I keep her up too late? Maybe I shouldn’t have forced her to watch me play video games the entire night! 

Levi sits against your bedframe with his knees to his chest, holding his head in his hands. 

Only when his brothers come to check on you does he learn that you are just sleeping. 

When you wake up, Levi is restlessly pacing around the room. As soon as he sees you awake, he nearly throws his arms around you but then blushes and backs away. 

"Normie, can't you take care of yourself? You had all of us worried."  

No matter how much he pressures you to tell him the reason behind your tiredness, please don’t say a word. Levi will not be able to handle the truth, so spare the poor demon.

Asmo

Oh no! My lovely sweetie is not waking up!

Asmo is truly worried about your health. Your skin will be well-rested, but not washing cleaning your skin will cause issues. 

You will no longer be tired, but your muscles will stiffen. You need to eat to survive, so not eating is going to be an issue. 

Asmo already feels wrinkles appearing on his skin from worrying so much. He asks Solomon for help, much to Lucifer's dismay. 

When you wake up, Asmo immediately apologizes to you and tells you that you need to take better care of yourself. 

"If you don't care for yourself, then you won't be able to care for us!"

Asmo becomes your partner in crime from then on. Whenever his brothers cause issues, he tries to help you, so that you don't take on too much stress. 

Satan

WHY ISN'T SHE WAKING UP? WHOSE NECK DO I NEED TO SNAP!?

His rage gets to him, and Satan nearly wipes out half of Devildom. Thankfully, Lucifer, Beel, and Diavolo are about to stop him. 

While the eldest brother searches for answers, Satan stays in your room and looks at you.

A thought crosses his mind...will a true loves kiss wake her up? Humans and angels are going to school in hell, so it's not a farfetched idea, right?

Wrong.

He kisses you, but you continue to sleep. Satan has never felt this embarrassed in his life. 

"I need to stop reading romantic novels." 

He is thankful that none of his brothers are there to witness this moment; otherwise, they won't let him live it down. 

Satan patiently waits for you to wake up, and when you do, he can't look in the eyes. One thought keeps racing in his mind: what if she finds out I kissed her while she was asleep? 

Beel

When Beel hears that you have not woken up for a whole day, he runs into your room and flings open the door so hard that it rips from the hinges. 

He tries to wake you up by shaking you, hugging you, asking you to wake up, and even offering you your favorite food. 

Beel gets so worried that he binge eats more than usual. He even eats inedible objects. 

When you open your eyes, you see Satan sitting on the edge of your bed. He tells you to hurry and get ready. 

"Beel has been eating so much that all the grocery stores in Devildom are out of food. Now, he is trying...no...I am sure he has already started eating Diavolo's castle. Only you can stop him." 

Belphie

She's not waking up? Great, I have a nap partner!

Belphie takes this chance to nap with you every day. He is worried about you, but what better way to watch over you than sleeping by your side? 

Belphie learns from Beel that the brothers are the reason for your condition. He makes up his mind that he's going to force you to nap with him daily. That way you can at least get some rest, and he can use that as an excuse to spend more alone time with you.

His brothers ask him to leave you alone, but Belphie doesn't listen to them. He doesn't want to miss this chance to snuggle with you. 

When you wake up, you see Belphie's face in front of you. He is fast asleep with his arms wrapped around your waist. 

Diavolo

She hasn't woken up in days? YOU TELL ME THIS NOW?

Diavolo drops everything and visits you. After seeing your exhausted face, he asks Barbatos to cancel all his meetings and appointments. 

The King of Demons carries you back to the castle and asks the best doctors to attend to you. On the side, he also asks Barbatos to look into the situation.

When the demon butler informs him about the reason, Diavolo isn't sure how to react. He is angry, but he doesn't want to point fingers without getting your perspective first. So, he holds back on taking action until you wake up.

When you open your eyes, you see Diavolo's large form cuddling with you. He looks like an angel a puppy while sleeping. 

Diavolo mumbles something in his sleep. Something along the lines of “(Y/N), wake up soon...I love you". 

Barbatos

Oh dear, I was hoping this would not happen.

When you last visited Diavolo's castle, Barbatos noticed that you were exhausted. He even asked if you were alright, but you brushed his concerns aside. 

It didn't take him long to learn the reason behind your fatigue, and the demon butler was unhappy, to say the least. 

After getting permission from Diav, Barbatos shifts you to the castle.  

Once you are settled in the castle, the butler sends the brothers a basket of their favorite foods along with a note saying to take care of themselves. 

The brothers are delighted to eat their favorites, but their excitement diminishes as soon as they put the first bite into their mouths. 

The flavors of the food are completely opposite; Asmo's wicked cupcake is super spicy; Mammon's spicy noodles are sickeningly sweet; Belphie's sushi has nothing but wasabi...

While the brothers are shell-shocked, Barbatos watches them through a window with a smile. 

“This is just the beginning.” He chuckles before heading back to the castle to tend to you.

Simeon

I should have stopped her from pushing herself too hard. 

Immediately comes to see you when Asmo tells him that you haven't woken up in two days. 

You told him that you were tired and hinted that your fatigue was a result of helping the brothers and worrying about them. So why didn't he stop you?

Simeon feels immensely guilty for not catching your hint. 

He asks Lucifer if he can take you to Purgatory Hall. When the demon agrees, Simeon decides to tell Lucifer the truth. 

By no means does Simeon blame the demons, but he asks Lucifer to give you a break. 

When you wake up, you see Simeon sitting on a chair next to your bed. His head resting on your bed, and his hand gently holding onto yours. 

Luke enters the room and is happy to see you awake. He tells you that Simeon hasn't slept in the past few days as the angel was too worried about you. 

Luke

SEE DEMONS ARE BAD! 

Luke is upset with the brothers and blames them for your condition. Simeon has to hold him back. 

The young angel tells the demons that you're much safer in Purgatory Hall, so henceforth, you will be staying with them. 

Luke asks Simeon to carry you back to their dorm. When the brothers protest, the angel says demons are not to be trusted.

When you wake up, you see Luke sitting next to you, watching you with sad puppy eyes.

The angel immediately throws his arms around you and says, you're in a safe place now. He also promises that neither he nor Simeon will cause you any problems.

Luke asks if you are hungry and hands you a plate of your favorite sweets. 

Solomon

Solomon is shocked and considers using a potion to wake you up. But when he sees you resting well, he reconsiders. 

As a punishment for the troubles they caused you, Solomon comes to visit you every day and causes a few mishaps here and there.

He also makes sure to irk some of the brothers Lucifer in the process. 

If Lucifer asks him to leave, Solomon taunts him by saying someone has to care for you since you're too busy sorting out OTHER people's problems. 

When you wake up, your entire room is filled with firefly-like orbs and your favorite flowers. 

Solomon greets you and gently strokes your hair before kissing your head. He immediately asks if you want to consider moving to his dorm.

Most to least likely to be affected by rejection from GN!MC. (& Their Worst Rival)

Belphegor:

He'd be pissed regardless of how you treated him. He would blame it on how he didn't get enough time with you. 

(And him y'know literally laughing over your corpse he killed with his bare hands if he's being honest with himself.)

Belphegor would probably be the most in denial and keep telling himself he just needs more time in order for you to change your feelings.

Even Leviathan would get tired of hearing his signature phrase getting repeated back to him over and over.

Someone would have to step in eventually (unless you never really forgave him or made it extremely clear you'd never be into him that way) and he'd throw a huge fit. 

It'd be especially nasty if it was Diavolo, Lucifer, or Simeon that you were dating, in a way that might irreparably damage their relationship. At least for a few centuries or so anyway.

He'd still be upset, but ultimately happy for you and Beel if you still get along with him. 

Not only is his twin happy, but it means you "have" to tolerate him to make Beel happy and he'll be seeing you a lot more than with someone else. 

He'd still try to worm his way into the relationship like he does in canon, but that'd probably be the end of it if you reject him clearly and calmly.

If you still hate him however he'd probably try to break you and Beel up. Not because he likes you, but because he's terrified you'll convince Beel to leave him like Lilith did and he'll be all alone. 

He'd hate to be separated from his twin regardless, but he's become especially clingy and almost paranoid about it after being locked in the attic.

They may be demons now, but he's still stuck in the PTSD mindset of an angel being corrupted by a human. To him, Beel is still an angel deep down and just as naïve as his sister was. 

I mean, Lilith did in fact die because she fell in love with a human regardless of who's fault it was. (In a roundabout way, sure Belphie.)

Getting some closure, learning she lived a happy life, and knowing that Lucifer didn't just completely abandon his family to lick Diavolo's boots for no reason helps ease his anger, but this just pure fear.

Not only is he afraid of history repeating itself, but Beel's with someone who has every reason to hate him. 

Despite helping him and his family it'd almost be easier to trust a random human than a MC that hasn't truly forgiven him.

Lucifer:

His pride is hurt, especially if he confessed, but ultimately he'll be happy for his brothers once he gets over it. 

He's higher than he could've been because I think he'd be able to share much more with a lover than "another person to look out for."

Lucifer probably wouldn't let you see his vulnerable side, especially if directly rejected.

It's different however if he saw you as more of a "Lilith" (MC can be any gender) figure than someone akin to his brothers. 

(Give him a break here, this demon hasn't had a real, on equal terms, friend to relax around since the fall. His comparisons are a bit faulty, but he ultimately means someone who helps him and never intentionally hurts his pride vs his asshole brothers causing trouble on purpose.)

Honestly, I feel like he'd believe he'd never have a chance like this again. 

MC has already seen him at his worst and his most vulnerable and they get along with his brothers. They've had plenty of opportunities to hurt them and yet they haven't even after securing a pact with him.

There are far too many demons and humans alike out to gain status or looking to exploit their weaknesses.

When would he even have the time to find someone else, much less someone he could actually relax around and show his softer side to?

The worst person for MC to pick would be Diavolo or Simeon. For Diavolo not only would he have to see him practically every day of his life knowing he's "taken" yet another person from him, but you're also with the person who’s hurt his pride like no one has before. 

He can't refuse a serious order from Diavolo, he was forced to swear his loyalty and be subservient to save his dying sister literally the second his feet touched the ground after fighting for freedom, you chose one of the few beings more powerful than him, he can't mourn his feelings in peace without Diavolo or MC noticing, and most of all he doesn't seem to actually trust Diavolo. 

The entire reason Belphegor was locked in the attic was because he was scared of what Diavolo would make him do to his own brother. There's no way he doesn't also have a ton of PTSD from the war and the events leading up to it. 

He was God's "favorite" before the war too, what makes the literal Devil who forced him into servitude in exchange for his sister's life any different? 

I believe part of his domineering attitude is because he can't trust any authority figure but himself. 

It doesn't help that Diavolo uses his position against him constantly. It's not for anything super serious, but more than enough to prove he's not above it if the deal itself wasn’t enough.

On the other hand Simeon represents everything he lost. Technically Lucifer chose to give it up, and he certainly doesn't regret it, but he's not sure you'll see it that way. 

He’s the "friend" that refused to follow him like his brothers and supported the tyrant that allowed Lilith's death, but doesn't seem all that interested in playing by their rules himself and acts like they should welcome him with open arms. 

Maybe Lilith's death could've even been prevented if they had one more powerful angel on their side.

If Simeon did fall because of his love for MC that'd make his refusal to help his little sister that fell for the same reason so much worse. Especially if Simeon acted like he did nothing wrong like he most likely would. It'd be another betrayal from him and a betrayal from MC as well.

I feel like he'd feel the happiest for Mammon if he considers you a good influence on him, maybe even if you aren't. He has a difficult time actually showing it, but Mammon is his favorite and he entrusted you to him in the first place for a reason after all. 

He'd also be grateful to a MC that can soothe Satan's pain and help him in ways he cannot imo.

Beel is another one of his favorites and he recognizes how hard he would fight to protect you even if his self control and strategies aren't the best. 

Leviathan actually seems to be one of his least favorites if not the least favorite, but if you can soothe his anxiety and make him more "respectable" he'd feel proud of him imo.

Belphegor would give him mixed feelings. On one hand it's hard enough putting MC in the hands of anyone else, much less someone that's killed them. 

On the other hand he would see it as ultimate proof that there aren't any hard feelings left and you're truly committed to the family.

It would depend on MC's personality and how well they enforced their boundaries with Belphegor. 

Lucifer does have a bad habit of interfering "for their own good" when it comes to the people he loves after all.

Mammon:

He'd be worse off the closer you were, but ultimately he wouldn't try to force you into changing your mind if he believes you're truly happy.

It's not the first time he's sacrificed himself for his brothers, and he'd sacrifice himself for you as well at this point.

A romantically incompatible MC that still needed his protection would hurt Mammon the least imo. If MC was an easily overstimulated introvert he'd understand a lot more than an extroverted party animal turning him down.

He'd understand more easily why it wasn't him and still enjoy their time together for what it is. 

I feel like he'd fall into the "big brother" role pretty easily in certain circumstances from the beginning anyway.

I think it'd still be possible (but not easy) for him to be vulnerable around a friend after a while too, especially if their relationship was more platonic to begin with.

Simeon would also be the worst person for Mammon to lose MC to. Ignoring the fact that he's probably a "better" choice for a protector and Mammon canonically complains about him while Simeon insults him in later chapters, he'd also know about Lucifer's feelings of betrayal and probably shares them. 

"Too shiny" obviously isn't the real reason he holds that much resentment against them or why he seems to miss the angel days the least. Well, besides Satan of course.

Belphegor would leave him feeling uneasy too. 

Mammon seemed to take that the hardest out of the brothers and it makes him feel especially bad that you chose your murderer over the one demon who's never seriously threatened or snapped at you.

He can't help but feel like maybe his "failure" to protect you caused you to lose faith in him and attach yourself to Belphegor as an unhealthy coping mechanism. 

Belphegor is the only brother he has a hard time not seriously interfering with and he still worries about you sometimes.

I feel like he'd feel the happiest for Lucifer. 

Mammon's always looking out for him, even letting him use him as his punch bag (literally and figuratively,) and knows him the best out of all of the brothers. 

He'd understand more than anyone how unlikely it'd be for him to find someone else to fall in love with and how this could potentially make him close himself off forever.

That's not to say he'd give up without a fight and wouldn't try to steal you away before you're sure, but he's the only one Mammon won't harass as much before you two are seriously dating. 

It helps too that the kind of people who go for Lucifer typically aren't the same kind of people going for Mammon unless they're after everyone.

Beelzebub:

He'd be heartbroken, but this sweet, self-sacrificing demon would probably drop himself out of the race if he feels like his brothers need it more.

He feels selfish trying to "steal" MC away when he at least has Belphie to always stay by his side. 

He feels especially bad for Belphie despite his contradictory reasoning, if he thinks you'd never agree having both of them that is. (He feels like Belphie should blame him for Lilith after all.)

So long as you still love him like a brother that's more than enough for him, eventually anyway.

That's if he fully recognizes his feelings though, something he has trouble with even if you actively pursue him. Otherwise he'd be sad for a while without knowing why until he suddenly just feels happy for you.

Not all of his romantic ignorance is genuine however, some of it is him hoping you'll come to your senses and pick someone "better." 

He feels like even being with his brothers would be so much safer for you than him.

He can't stop his intrusive thoughts about what would happen if your tongue got caught on his sharp teeth on a particularly hungry day. 

Could he really control himself the entire time you were together? Would he mess up again if he had to choose between you and Belphie?

Getting that attached to someone isn't something he wants to do in general, especially someone so fragile, but lately you haven't been giving him much of a choice...

Simeon would once again be the worst person for MC to choose. 

I don't believe Beelzebub would ever fully forgive him for not helping Lilith and it only gets much worse if he falls for a similar reason to the one that got Lilith killed.

He'd also consider it a bit of a betrayal on MC's part and it would enhance his insecurities about his lack of control and demon form.

People may describe him as "angelic" and pure-hearted, but that doesn't mean he can compare to a literal angel. 

How could someone who craves human flesh compete with someone who's never spilled human blood down their throat and cracked their bones to get to their marrow? 

He's decimated entire cities, eating even the children with little remorse before. Beelzebub just feels like you deserve someone safer.

Leviathan:

On one hand he needs a friend more than anything and has seemed much more focused on that for most of season one. 

Even then he usually reacts better to hugs than kisses, in that he actually believes it's genuine and not an accident somehow.

On the other hand he probably feels like MC is his only hope no matter how much they try to build him up. 

Tbh I could even see him trying to force himself to date a MC he doesn't necessarily like that way just so he doesn't "die alone."

Leviathan isn't just an otaku, he's literally the avatar of envy. If his brothers are competing for "something" he has to try to compete and will feel jealous regardless if he likes MC that way or not imo. 

Just the same as Beel needs to eat after a five course meal and Belphie needs to rest after doing nothing.

He'd probably mope for a while but eventually be grateful for the friend so long as you didn't lead him on (by Levi's standards.)

I also think he's pretty self-aware and he knows how toxic he could get and how dangerous it could be for you. 

He does an amazing job of turning his jealousy inwards instead of outwards, but can he really keep that up the entire time when he likes you this much?

He's most likely stuck between wanting to push you away for your own good and trying to manipulate you into comforting him by proving your love, justifying it with "Well, I did warn them, It's not my fault they were too naïve to stay away."

I don't think there's any one person that'd be especially bad. If anything the better they are the more he'll let his envy convince him there was never any chance. 

It’s his surprisingly efficient way of coping. It'd have to be someone below him, but there isn't really someone he thinks is truly below him in the Obey Me! cast.

Even Mammon has plenty of reasons Levi can point out for you to like him. Always envying others actually makes it really easy to see their good qualities.

...Actually it'd be Belphegor. Really MC? You chose the demon that killed you unprovoked and laughed at your corpse over a filthy otaku? Is he really so bad that you'd choose your own murderer over him? What is he saying, of course you'd choose anyone but him...

Asmodeous:

He'd really hate it in the beginning and would even take it out on you, but I feel like more than anything he needs a true friend. 

Someone who loves him for who he is and not how he makes them feel.

It's more than possible to do this as a lover and he'd probably prefer that, but I do believe it'd be faster for him to believe you if you have zero sexual interest in him at all. 

He might even hate you at first for rejecting him, but that would just make him feel even more loved and secure when you forgive him for it.

If you consistently spend time with him and support him even at his "ugliest" without wanting any sex in return it gives very little room for his insecurities to say it wouldn't happen without his powers or the promise of pleasure. 

He can get sex and love, or "love," easily, but people who never try to turn friendship into something sexual don't really exist to him. 

(He doesn’t seek them out in fear of being rejected.)

He gets so insecure thinking that everyone will leave if he's anything less than perfect appearance wise, that he tends to push partners away before they can. 

It doesn't help that most people treat him like a toy they put back in drawer when they aren't horny anymore.

Very few people want to commit to someone who they think will never commit back and is known for cheating. Not just polyamory, but cheating even with poly. 

Those that do are usually busy with their other lovers and we all know how much Asmo hates to not have someone's full attention.

Honestly he's the second cannon yandere imo. (Go through all of the answers when he believes you were only thinking about Belphie when you were with him. (MAJOR TW BTW!) See his yandere section here if you're unsure if you want to check.)

That's not to say open relationships would never work, but if anything he'd be far happier with closed poly where everyone is with everyone or at least with the brothers he gets along with or secretly feels better than. Even then he'd have to be your favorite.

I think the worst person for Asmo to lose to would also be Simeon. He represents something Asmo can never get back and he obviously wants it back when Simeon brings it up in canon. 

Simeon also doesn't hesitate to get subtly nasty and hit people where it hurts when he feels like it, something that would counter Asmo's own remarks and leave him feeling humiliated.

Also you left the Avatar of Lust for an uptight virgin who probably doesn't even know how to please you? (Asmo's words not mine.) 

Corrupting people is fun and all, he can't say he hasn't fantasized about ripping Simeon's halo off of him, but actually staying with Simeon after he falls or not trying to make him fall in the first place is unimaginable to Asmo.

Satan:

He would be sad of course, furious if they chose Lucifer, but in the end I feel like he'd be secretly grateful the fragile human wouldn't let him get close enough to hurt them.

I genuinely think he wouldn't really benefit that much more from a lover than a true friend if they spent the same amount of time together. 

That's a big if though, considering it'd be hard to do in a normal relationship much less with the possessive Obey Me! cast.

I feel like between his logical nature, his own constant fight to be more than a mindless beast of destruction, and never really having experienced angelic views on humans directly he's the least in denial about the dangers of a human-demon relationship.

The other brothers may occasionally delude themselves that they're more "fallen angels" (emphasis on being angelic and not fallen) than true demons, but he can't. 

Even entertaining and lovable humans are inherently prey in the same way that farmers that treat their pigs like pets still don't hesitate to slit their throat and dogs kill other animals in the heat of the moment while playing.

He can't help but worry about the consequences of losing control around you for even a second. 

Can he really keep that up for the rest of your life? Maybe, but he doesn't think it counts if he's the one to end your life.

The only way to stay friends with him after choosing Lucifer is if you were never undecided between the two and NEVER treated him like your child or acted like another Lucifer. 

Even if you didn't mean to make him feel that way, he'd still feel like he "lost" for being the "lesser Lucifer."

Don't try to get close to him just because you're dating Lucifer either, he'll notice and hate you for it. 

Treat him like his own person completely unrelated to Lucifer and you'll be fine after the initial anger. Maybe not as friendly as before, but fine.

He's pretty much the only one who wouldn't feel personally betrayed by MC choosing Simeon, but it would increase his insecurities about being the only pure demon and one born of rage at that.

Choosing Diavolo or Barbatos would do the opposite to a small extent. Although those two are far more controlled than him, more controlled than any other demon he's ever heard of even, they are both still demons.

Unpacking the Angel Event (Through My Own Perspective)

Okay so uh… this was a very uncomfortable seat the Devs have offered us today and like all things that give me moral uncomfiness, I HAVE to analyze it. Blame the ethics classes. A full disclaimer, this is not spoiler-free and is pretty much entirely just me unpacking my own feelings here. What may bother or not bother me could really affect you and there is nothing wrong with that. You are entitled to your own perspective. This is just me trying to walk through all the stuff in this event that just… rubbed me the wrong way. So let's get to it.

The Costumes

So. Let's start at the beginning. Diavolo apparently had the bright idea to put everybody in magical costumes of their angel forms (or something like it in Satan's case). This is… problematic.

The reason the brothers lost their angel forms was because they fell after the Celestial War… who's greatest causality (in their eyes) was their sister, Lilith. So one could imagine that their memories as angels aren't particularly happy ones… By this point in the "continuity" (this is Post-Attic, more on that later), they would have known that Lilith didn't actually die which may soften something like this a little. I dunno, I'm not one of them and trauma is uniquely personal to the individual, but the bigger issue is that Diavolo thought this was a good idea to start with to which I say! - I'm not at all surprised by that. Hear me out.

Diavolo is heavily implied to have had a huge ass crush on Angel Lucifer. He's also uh… probably a little sheltered (as sheltered as the royalty of Hell can be) and probably not used to think of his subjects' feelings on the things he does before he just does them. This is fairly evident in other events where he'll order the brothers to do XYZ task even if they want no part in it. It doesn't surprise me at all that Diavolo would want to see them (Lucifer) as angels again and not take into account how that could affect them. I don't think that'd be malice on his part, just shortsightedness, and he likely would have apologized if any of the brothers expressed an emotional problem with it to him directly.

Do they have problems? Yes. But since the event kind of wipes them of their true selves, that's better discussed elsewhere. Moving on.

The Bangles 

Holy fuck, how do we even approach this? So Simeon, in conjunction with Michael (probably, at this point I have to wonder if he's telling the truth about this) gives the brothers jewelry, presumably to wear to the party, that would… I'm not even sure. Curb their impulses? Force them to be mannered? The important thing is he did not tell them about that little detail before they put the bangles on…

This is… also problematic. First, we can try to establish Simeon's intentions versus what actually happened: 

The bangles were (likely) intended to be removable. It was the mixing of the magic that locked them in place so we can assume he didn't mean this to be a permanent change.

The magic on the bangles was probably amplified by the angel costumes. What this means is though we can assume that Simeon never intended them to become quite so… different, we'll never know just how much influence he was actually trying to put on them. It could have been anything from suppressing their sins to full blown force you to say please/thank you. We'll just never get to know now… 

I won't be the first person to liken this to mind control (nor the last) because… that's kind of how it turned out. Even worse still, it would have been completely involuntary on the brothers' part. Simeon DID NOT tell them what the bangles were going to do. Now, he claims later that he would have eventually, but we don't get to know when that would have been. I presume at some time after the party, because like. These are our boys. They're not going to consent to wearing something like that, they're just not.

This poses all kinds of questions and problems ranging from issues of consent to anatomy and even the worth of good deeds done out of obligation vs. free will and… I mean quite literally when I say Jesus Christ, Simeon, what the hell?!

I could write a completely different post debating whether or not what Simeon did actually had any moral merit but I won't because it'd be very dry and boring. I think the most interesting thing to take away here is that Simeon thought it was okay to do like, at all, and with approval from Michael (maybe) no less… That reflects something on angel society that I doubt will get explored but I need to ponder farther…

This section is all kinds of sticky so we need to move on.

The Development(?)

First off, to new players, don't worry this probably isn't canon (at least to the main story continuity). The Brothers should be back to normal in the new chapters and this won't have a long term effect on anything (aside from maybe a tie in to the next event ala Beach event-> Games). That's how Obey Me has always treated their events it seems and I sure hope they stick to it now. But, these are still the same characters going through a unique situation and that can offer some insight so… Let's discuss.

I mentioned earlier that the brothers had problems with this… Unfortunately, I think we only get to see Lucifer and Satan's thoughts in any detail because everyone else is too far gone by the time we reach them… Lucifer can pretty much be summed up as troubled and unhappy because (you know) not a lot of great memories as an angel. I presume that his wounded pride after the fall may also contribute. 

Satan is… more complex. I’m honestly more bothered by his change than anyone else’s because even he expresses how weird this is for him... (We get confirmation that he never in fact had an angel form, btw). Poor baby is going through a full on identity crisis and there’s a certain part of his mind that he’s not even allowed to use right now... Anger. The Avatar of Wrath, born from Wrath, can’t get angry and… Something about that just bothers me at a deeper level, not even I can express properly…

Everyone else is too far gone once we reach them. Their personalities are completely different and they can’t even acknowledge that’s the case. They think that they’ve turned a new leaf but we know that’s not the reality, that leaf was very much turned for them and it doesn’t make anything feel any better…

This may be my own opinion, but part of me thinks that this portion (and only this portion right here) was actually what the Devs were going for. They wanted us to be uncomfortable by all of this for like, story reasons. It’s a narrative trick. Think of the phrase “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.” I think they were trying to use the absence of the brothers’ usual flaws and traits as a weird way of celebrating them. Kind of like saying, “We could have given you guys these perfect brothers, but they’re not perfect and we know that’s why you like them. Look at these perfect guys, doesn’t it feel wrong?” The answer is, yes. It does feel wrong. And under other circumstances, it would be affirming like they’d be intending, “I don’t want this emotionally-open non-otaku, give me Levi dammit!” But when you add this intended discomfort with the already sketchy way we got here it just makes it all the worse… 

And absolutely NONE of this is helped by...

The… End?

I think the thing I hate about this event the most (actually legitimately hate) is how it ends. In that it doesn’t. It kind of just… abruptly stops right after Lucifer starts coming to himself again. Though I suspect that’s because they’re putting incentive into getting the event cards, this in NO WAY does the narrative any favors.

Most people are not going to get those cards. Even with Lonely Devil as an option, it’s a huge time/resource commitment to get there. Because of that, the majority of people are not going to get to see the aftermath of what happened. We don’t get to see how the brothers feel about what happened. We don’t get to see if they do, in fact, come to and if they have any takeaways from the experience or if they’re utterly disgusted by it. The player character doesn’t even get the option to comfort them after something that was probably terribly traumatic. It. Just. Ends.

What that means is all of that discomfort that we had just lingers… There’s no resolution or pay off. It just… stays… This is the worst possible thing they could have done. If you want your audience to feel uncomfortable, that’s one thing, but unless you’re telling like, a psychological thriller you gotta settle them back down again! Deep moral conflict is not a turn on!!!

Personally, I don’t hate that this thing exists. I don’t. The part of me that majored in Philosophy loves analyzing media like this so I can’t say that I didn’t get anything out of it. I don’t think all media should play it safe, it’s okay to leave the audience with no good answers or a feeling of unease, but you really got to be self-aware of it. The biggest flaw of this event, in my opinion, is that it rarely comes across as self-aware of its own horror. You get a very brief glimpse of it from Solomon when he comments on how creepy things are, but Simeon’s happy. Diavolo’s happy. And though he’s a little uneasy, Luke’s pretty content, too. Add that to the abrupt ending and we never get to know if ANY of them realize how awful of a thing this was to do to the brothers... It makes it all come off as an endorsement of mind controlling your friends into better people and (to me) that feels really, really wrong.

So in conclusion… I dunno. If the next event isn’t something along the lines of “Angelic Demons Part 2: Fixing What We Fucked Up!” then I think they really botched this one guys… I hope somebody was taking notes.

Brothers & Undateables reacting to seeing Male MC almost naked

You sigh out loud to yourself as you step out of the shower, water dripping down your now fresh and clean skin. It had been exam week and you were stressed out beyond belief, you deserved a little alone time. As you open the door steam rushes out and you grab a nearby towel, wrapping it around your waist. Just as you were about to sit down and dry off you realize your phone isn’t on your bed. 

I probably left it in the living room, you think to yourself and before you have a second thought you left your room, the towel being the only fabric giving you decency. As you trek down the halls your mind drifts to what the brothers might be doing. It didn’t occur to you that they might be in the living room. As you approach the living room you hear noise, specifically Levi badgering Mammon to give him his money back.

When you peek your head in you see all the brothers and surprisingly Diavolo and Barbatos in the room. Belphegor was eating with Beel, albeit nodding off every few seconds, Asmodeus was curled up on one side of the couch on his D.D.D no doubt checking his social media. Satan as usual had himself engrossed in another thick covered book. Diavolo, Barbatos, and Lucifer sat a nearby glass table discussing amongst themselves something to do with RAD. Out of the whole scenario Mammon and Levi were the loudest, bickering away as usual. You momentarily forget about your phone and enjoy the somewhat domestic scene before you.

Subconsciously you let out an exasperated sigh, leaning your body against the empty door frame as you watch the brothers bicker for a few more minutes. After a bit you raise yourself off the wall and make your way to pluck your D.D.D off the glass table.

“Mammon! Give me my money you no good dirty thief!” 

“I ain’t a thief! Besides I said I would pay you back anyways.” You could practically visualize Mammon rolling his eyes beneath his shades as you unlock your phone.

“That’s a huge lie” you quip, not bothering to look up from your phone. You continue talking to the two as you check your messages, unaware that everyone was looking at you. “Do you two ever stop complaining?” Mammon turns, ready to defend himself when his words die in his throat. Levi was about to laugh but soon he too stops, gawking at your naked back. Water from your hair drips down your face and you unconsciously raise a hand to push the offending strands away, unaware of how you were affecting each demon in the room.

Lucifer: Hears Mammon screech and is about to scold him for interrupting his meeting when he stops mid sentence. He feels his mouth tighten at the sight of you and is conflicted between scolding you or carrying you up to him room.

"Honestly, you could've wait until you put some clothes on?" He wasn't fooling anyone. Those red eyes of his trailed your every move. Diavolo teases him for this.

Mammon: Literally the first one to screech if Levi didn't beat him to it.

"Why aren't you wearing clothes!?" The tips of his ears are extremely red and he is annoyed that you aren't too flustered yourself. His eyes kinda follows this one drop of water that glides down your skin and he has a problem looking away. Will try to shoo you away from his brothers eyes, this is only a scene he should have the glory of looking upon.

Leviathan: A entire mess. Will stop bickering at Mammon to look at your backside, starts stuttering and mumbling about how this is exactly like a scene from "My Roomate Has No Boundaries and Is Constantly Making A Mess But I'm Slowly Falling For Him!"

Covers his face but will peek out to look at your chest. It's not like you're built like Beel but for some reason he can't look away. He can feel his Henry down below awakening and is quick to scamper off to hide in his room. In the process he trip and falls on top of you.

"A-Ahh!!!! I'm so so sorry, this is way too boss level for a otaku like me!" He's lucky your towel didn't fly off.

Satan: When he looks up to see what his brother were screaming about he certainly couldn't blame them. You were absolutely marvelous in his eyes, it reminded him of a scene in a book Asmodeus lent him a few months back. He really enjoys the dip in your back and can't help but wonder what that towel is hiding.

"I must say I'm enjoying the show." His book is covering his face mostly. He may sound calm and collective but the slight blush on his cheek is a dead giveaway to how he feels. Will ending up trying to find the book Asmo loaned him.

Asmodeus: Literally squeals because it the first time he's seen your skin on display.

"MC look this way!" He would call out your name as you flip your hair back and you hear a shutter go off. You end up becoming embarrassed and begging him to delete the photo and he merely declines, promising its safety in his files. Will lick his lips and the one eyeing you the most like eye candy. When your about to head back into your room he'll give your ass a nice spank which almost drops the towel.

Gets a message later from his brothers for that photo.

Beelzebub: At first he was too engorged in his food to really notice. But when he does he gives a genuine smile at how pretty and handsome you look. Won't hesitate to tell you as well. He thinks you look like a angel since the living room lights are shining on your wet skin.

"You're really handsome" he gives a small smile, ignoring Mammon screaming at him about how only he should be able to say that and you find yourself becoming bashful, scurrying off to put some clothes on.

Belphegor: Probably the only one besides Barbatos and Solomon that didn't make a big deal about it. He's seen you naked once anyways.

Will opt for watching you walk in and out but will smile if you look his way. He secretly agrees with his brother about your looks and he wonders if your soft as you look. Would probably ask if you would like to sleep together later.

Diavolo: Is drinking his tea when you walk in and is surprised that one of his exchange students feel so comfortable around all the avatars to do such a thing.

"I see you made yourself home here." He would say in a warm voice and when you give him a nervous chuckle, you quick to notice how his golden eyes are looking down towards the V near your legs. Will probably asks you later to come to a private meeting. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Barbatos: Just like Belphegor he is silent. He enjoys the view as he sips his tea and honestly it's hard to pinpoint what the butler is thinking when he has such a poker face.

"Are you enjoying the view?" Diavolo asks cheekily. Barbatos would turn and nods his head before replying. "He has such nice skin. I wonder how it would look after being tied up." You can hear Lucifer choking on his tea.

Bonus!

Simeon: Will avert his eyes out of respect. No sir this is a good angel of the Lord. If you aren't paying attention to how you're affecting the brothers will kindly escort you out.

Solomon: Shady magician will probably chuckle lowly and admire you from afar, sipping his tea and reading a book. He too takes a few pictures but plans to use it as blackmail.

I really hope y’all don’t mind something that’s a little bit divergent from the norm, but I had pieces of this flashback scene come to me in a dream and when I got up, the scene went so naturally onto the page and I really love the foreshadowing and dialog here, plus the POV of a lesser-seen character. 

Here is a scene of a pregnant Flossie Howley, taking a bit of agency in a very important decision. This really helped develop her and her dynamic with her husband and was an enjoyable snippet to bash out in like a day. I don’t normally share little pieces like this, but I was really proud of it and wanted to share.

A log collapsed to crumbling embers, sparking the entire firebox a lively orange that drew her eye up for just a moment before it returned to the calm, evening flicker and she to her needlework.

Flossie folded a tiny nightgown of white cotton over on her lap and fed her needle through the fabric, continuing a delicate feather-stitch along the cuff in a silky white thread. At her feet, a hefty old sewing box sat with a nearly completed full layette folded on top, each piece as lovingly assembled and embroidered as the last.

She heard her husband fumbling around in the kitchen, thinking himself quiet as the grave in there as he stomped about, still in his boots, long before he popped into the adjacent room with her, placing a cup and saucer of steaming, muddy-black tea on the side table by her, leaning around to kiss the side of her face and rub her upper arms with freezing-cold hands.

"Sorry, darlin'," he said. "The animals went down fine, but the damned dog wouldn't come down out the field for nothing. Had to chase it down myself."

"Hm. Stove's off?" she asked without looking up.

"Stove's off," he confirmed, going to his chair and sinking down with a wearied groan, as if breathing the long day out of his overworked bones. She smiled a little. He was still pleasant to look at with the day's grime on him, fair-eyed and caramel-haired, with the darling little cleft in his chin she used to giggle to her friends about when they were girls together.

He caught her peeking and the corner of his mouth lifted in a half-smile back. He leaned in over the arm of the chair, peering at her work.

"Nearly done, I'd say, hm?"

"Mm. Nearly."

"I still say we have plenty baby's things already."

"He will have his own things." The needle punctured the cotton with a hard pop. "I know, I know. You've said it and I've heard it." Simeon sunk back into his chair, wiggling as if he could burrow himself even deeper into it.

She paused to take a sip from her tea, about strong enough to stain leather, just as she liked it, clearing her throat as she picked the needle up again.

"I've named him," she plainly told him.

"Pardon?"

"The baby; I've named him. And I won't hear nothing about it. You've named every one this far– this might be my only chance to name one."

"Very well; what is it?"

"You can know when he's born. It's been in my mind since I was a girl."

Simeon gave an amused chuckle. "Alright, well what– uh, what sort of name is it?"

She stopped her hand to look up at the fire and think a moment before the answer came to her.

"A strong one," she said. "Thriving."

"All good things." Simeon seemed to accede entirely, though he still had questions. "Does it feel strong? In your belly?"

She frowned down at her belly, her red chintz wrapper tied just above the healthy, round swell.

"I don't know," she answered truthfully. "It– doesn't feel like much of anything, one way or another."

Unfortunately true, with the way she'd treated her pregnant belly the past few months. It reminded her of years before, when she'd not lived on the farm for long, before the Fossers.

They were hungry, hungrier than she'd ever been before or since. They couldn't afford to properly feed the chickens; they'd already culled all the ones they could spare-- and once or twice an egg would be laid with half a shell, so thin that even if she tried her best to lift one with slow, gentle hands, it'd burst at her lightest touch, spilling over her fingers, and the hens would cackle and crow with excitement. Simeon told her it was normal; just an unfortunate result of a poor diet, but it wasn't any less frustrating at a time when each egg was precious.

She pulled her wrapper more snugly around her middle. She'd reached this size only twice before. One baby she'd lost around this many months along and, as always, she had the midwife show her the poor little thing. The younger ones were barely anything, lumps of flesh wrapped in cloth. This was different. This was almost a baby, almost, yet not quite. Its body far too small, its skin shiny and translucent, its face barely a face at all.

That's what would be living inside her now. Tiny, pink and infirm. It felt that if she touched this one too much through her skin, if she loved with too many hands, his shell might break apart, then his body beneath, leaving her holding nothing but pieces.

So, she let him be. Occasionally she'd feel him move and kick, reaching out to her, reminding her that he was still there, but she would seldom answer him. Simply let herself feel the relief it gave, and move on.

"And if it's a girl?"

Simeon's query brought her back into the room. She offered him a quick glance, then shook her head.

"It's a boy, they've all been boys."

"I'm just saying."

"When's the last time your family had anything but boys?"

Simeon paused. "O-four. My great aunt Hitty, but she had half a beard, herself, so..."

"Exactly. It's a boy." She allowed a hint of a chuckle as she bit off and fastened her thread, running her thumb over the detailing before starting on the opposite cuff. So tiny, hard to imagine a little wrist in there, though she'd seen it done once before. She rolled the two sides of the cotton together between her fingers, sampling the softness, then pierced it through.

In her peripheral, she could see Simeon watch her for a while, then give up, looking back to the fire with his hands tucked up behind his head. She let him rest long enough to complete the first inch or so of her cuff, then laid her final decision upon him.

"You'll be near," she told him. "When he's born."

"Pardon?"

"You won't go out for a drink, or a ride," she elaborated. "You can be down here, in the parlor, or out in the field, I don't care a fig. I'll have you near."

Simeon chuckled. It seemed to entertain him. "You've made your mind up about many a thing, haven't you, m'girl? Supposing the Fossers have me out of town? If the little man decides to be early?"

"Then you'd best come running back like hell's fire's at your heels." She lowered her work to her lap so she could look right at her husband. "You have to be here for him, Simeon. You have to be near so the devil himself sees you and says 'I can't never touch this child; I can't touch him because his daddy is Simeon Howley and he's much too tough to try.'"

Simeon laughed until he met her eye and saw the look inside it. Then, he settled himself, but kept a sweetness to his expression.

"If it brings you peace," he told her. "Here I'll be, Miss."

She smiled, and reached out her hand to him. Taking the gesture, he rose from his seat and went to her, kneeling down by the arm of her chair.

"You hear that?" he spoke down to her belly. "You see this?"

He raised his bent arm, flexing until the fabric of his shirt stretched tight over the muscle, completing the show with an exaggerated arch of his brow.

"I got you, little man."

Flossie threw her head back and laughed out happy and loud, and when she came back down she gave Simeon a playful ruffling of the dust-coated hair atop his head. Settling in close, he reached in and rubbed a hand lovingly over her belly, and she pulled open her wrapper from the chemise underneath, so he'd have an easier time of it.

Simeon's hands were different, heavy and dirt-stained as they were. It didn't bother her if he touched. His hands were safer, they could protect the little one in his shell far better than she ever could.

"That your head or your arse, then, son?" Simeon puzzled aloud as he felt, making her laugh again so her tummy shook against his palm. He grinned like a child, absently running his hand back and forth over the summit.

"Well," he went on. "--I can't wait to know your name, pal. But listen, you go easy on your mother, hm? Come right on out when you're ready and when you're standing on your own, I'll take you fishing, and riding. I'll teach you to shoot."

"Simeon... Psh."

"--and I'll put you on my shoulders on the hill, so you can see the whole town, like my Pa used to do with me. It's a pretty little place, you'll like it."

Flossie smiled sadly, rubbing her thumb under his chin, then holding it in her hand. How terribly she wanted to make all the things he spoke of happen for him. She almost did, a few times before. And she knew, in the bones of her, that this was probably her last chance. This man loved her; she trusted that wouldn't change, but could a tiny piece of him, however miniscule, not resent her if she failed one last time? If this was all they'd ever be?

They stayed this way a while, Flossie setting her needlework aside so they could enjoy each-other's closeness next to the fire. Then, always tired far before she ever was, Simeon rose back to his feet, kissed her and asked her to come soon to bed, then wished her goodnight and disappeared to the other room and up the old, creaking stairs.

Instead, Flossie sat alone until the fire burned itself out to embers which barely cast their glow past the fender, leaving her in near darkness, save for the moonlight through the far shutters.

And there, all alone, she sat up straight and, like her former self, reaching so carefully beneath the bellies of the hens, she placed a hand upon her stomach, almost too light to feel the touch herself.

"Do you see how much we're counting on you?" she whispered, her fingers gently pressing the firm flesh beneath linen. "You'll be strong, won't you?"

She drew in a nervous breath that fit snug in her chest, allowing herself to lay her palm flat, feel the change in depth, the obvious life that lay there, changing the very shape of her.

"Won't you, William?"

Lord Diavolo’s reputation hangs on this exchange program going extremely well, he would not let simple prejudices put a smear on that

He has prepared himself well to receive people from different walks of life just so he can provide all students a comfortable stay during their term in the Devildom

But wait...what is that human doing?

Oh...this poor man

Not only does he have to keep that ginormous labyrinth of a castle spotless and immaculate at all times and ensure that every event being hosted by the castle is going perfectly without a hitch, but he also has to take care of an overgrown man-child that is also known as the future king of the Devildom

Now, he has to make sure this...mess of a human doesn’t go stir up trouble anywhere?

Barbatos is a calm and collected man, but he’s still a demon; virtues aren’t exactly something they practice 

He would need to down three cups of melancholy coffee and squeeze a stress ball whenever he catches MC in her antics whether it is alone or with someone in tow

Somehow he’s the only one whom MC would find almost impossible to prank

Like she managed to catch Lucifer off guard once (that was her proudest achievement) but BARBATOS???? yeah, it’s like he has a pair of eyes on the back of his head or something

MC: *tries to sneak up on him*

Barbatos, not even turning back: Enough of that now, MC, come enjoy this tea I’ve made

Pranking Barbatos will become her number one mission during her entire term in the Devildom

Barbatos would be really amused and impressed at the lengths she would go through just to see that shocked look on his face

Why, it might even be—dare he say—endearing

Though MC will cause this man stress and grey hairs, Barbatos couldn’t help but appreciate her company every time she came around

When she’s not up to her daily shenanigans, she would simply opt to help Barbatos out with some of the chores or preparing the treats for a tea party with the student council members and the exchange program, even though he’s mentioned that she should do no such thing

But knowing that this girl is constantly energetic and restless, Barbs agreed to let her help since he would not want to deal with her breaking some priceless antiques or getting herself in trouble with Devildom law again

She helps to remind him that it’s okay to be laidback once in a while and that he doesn’t need to be so uptight all the time

These two have an unusual friendship but it’s only good vibes all around ^^

Before she leaves the Devildom though, he would pretend that she actually managed to startle him with her last grand prank and the look on her face was worth his reputation taking a slight hit

She would have so many ideas on the top of her head that she would never use because 1) they either defy the laws of physics or 2) she would need magic to pull it off perfectly

So imagine her excitement when she found out Solomon is the greatest human sorcerer

She would 100% reel him in her plans and schemes and NO ONE (except the angels, they have immunity bc they’re babies :] ) would be safe from them

Despite all the fun they would have though, Solomon definitely treasures her as his greatest friend

I imagine life for Solomon would be quite lonely and he appreciates the constant joy and company that MC would provide him

He would definitely fuck a bitch up if someone dares to mess with his bestie 🙄

These two adore each other so much but they would be caught DEAD before they would admit that to each other 🤭

Simeon

When they first met, Simeon was so happy to find a person so devoted to God such as MC

He takes it upon himself to become MC’s guardian angel around the Devildom

He would helicopter them for a while and would (reluctantly) back off if MC finds it a bit suffocating 

(don’t be mean MC, he just cares about u alot that’s all :( )

This man is capital P patient

I mean, that’s a given with him being an angel and all

But seriously,,, one has to be in awe at how calm and collected he is even when MC would pull pranks that would cause a normal person to wanna punch the living daylights out of her

Eventually she would feel bad and stop pulling these pranks on him though, he’s just too sweet and she can’t take advantage of that </3

They would be really close though (along with Luke) because he would frequently invite her to pray the 5 essential prayers together with Luke or read the Qur’an together and it’s just wholesome vibes all around man 🥺

As angels, him and Luke would have such beautiful recitations of the Qur’an and I can picture MC frequently dropping by Purgatory Hall just to listen to him recite the kalimahs with the perfect tajweed (Non-Muslims if you’d like to hear an example, check out Sheikh Mishary reciting Surah al-Kahf, it’s beautiful man 🥺)

He would frequently invite MC and Luke out for walks too and these three would look so domestic together people often mistake them as a little family (much to the brothers’ chagrin and Simeon’s amusement)

Simeon has such a calming presence that he could even tame a chaotic MC down and have her sit still enough, it will be as if she turned into a completely different person

Luke was extremely happy when the two of them met

This cutie is a proud servant of God and he loves humans who loves Him as much as he does

So it comes as to no one’s surprise when he attaches himself to MC

This would heighten when MC stepped between him, Beel and Lucifer during that,,,,incident

His favourite time of the day is praying in congregation with MC and Simeon and baking with MC

MC would steer clear from involving Luke in her pranks and/or outright pranking him

He’s just a precious little child okay, MC has a soft spot for this angel

She would definitely try to tone down her chaotic energy around him, but she would NOT hesitate to verbal + cyber bully any demons that dare to bully her child

Seriously, Luke would gawk at the obscenities coming from MC’s mouth

He would have to physically drag her away before the demons could devour them both

He would be absolutely SHOOKETH at the language she used because she has been nothing but sweet and polite to him. It was like she switched into a whole different person right in front of his eyes

Luke: MC! I knew living with those horrid demons is a bad idea! They’ve corrupted you now!! *crying Luke noises*

MC: Lil buddy, I was born this way

He would definitely feel really touched that MC is so protective of him though, but he would have to tell her to never say those words again, even if she’s trying to protect him

She would (hesitantly) tell him she would try her best but that would literally only last for half a day because another demon has foolishly decided to mess with him with her present

Drunk Behaviour

Happy New Year ! Here’s one for those of you ending off 2020 a little boozy.

Let’s be real, who’s taking care of your wasted ass? (I’m talking blackout, why-did-I-do-this-to-myself-I’m-never-drinking-again drunk) It’s time we put these boys to the test, so here’s my little ranking of who would be the best. Keep in mind, this is just my reckless opinion, there is absolutely no truth here (unless you agree, hehe). It goes as so:

1. Satan

His cool, stable manner will be very welcome. He’ll take this SERIOUSLY, really letting his sweet side show in the way he takes care of you. He’s bringing you everything you need before you even ask for it, and he’s making sure you sip every drop of water out of that cup. He turns into a bit of an overbearing mom, but you’re grateful for it. He’s happy to take care of you. You feel completely unjudged and can be as miserable as you want. He’ll stroke your hair while reading to you and/or telling you cute cat stories.

2. Mammon

His caring side will really come out here. He’ll surprise even himself. He’ll probably throw you over his shoulder and carry you to his room saying, “The Great Mammon needs to take care of you.” He’ll make fun of you, of course he will, but you’ll see the care behind it and it’ll make you smile. His light humour will be greatly appreciated. He won’t admit it, but he’s trying really hard to make you laugh. He hates seeing you looking so down. It works, and eventually you forget how miserable you feel. Oh, and let’s not forget the movie he puts on that neither of you pay attention to. Yeah, this night ends with a lot of cuddles. 

3. Barbatos

He is a butler, come on, he’s good at this. He’ll know exactly what you need to feel better, and will bring it to you in a prompt and efficient manner. The only reason he’s not higher up on this list is because you’ll initially be thrown off by his professionalism in your drunk state. You’ll try to reach out to him, making some comment about wanting to know “the real Barbatos,” and eventually he’ll soften up. He’ll put down whatever he’s doing and will come sit down on the bed where he’ll proceed with stroking your hair. You’ll get to see a little sweet side of Barbatos that no one else gets to see. It will ease all your worries. He can also throw you back in time so that you can stop yourself from drinking so much, I mean...

4. Beel

Beel may surprise you, or you may already know that he has this side to him. He’ll be super sweet and protective, making sure you feel completely safe and cared for. He’ll be more concerned about you than his own hunger, and will make you whatever you want to eat. Seriously, whatever you want. Oh, and he’s definitely feeding it to you, so get ready to feel like a snuggly baby. You’ll be so overwhelmed by his sweetness, that it’ll be nearly impossible to feel bad when he’s around you. You’ll smile lots and hang out in his room, talking about random things that you definitely won’t remember in the morning. 

5. Diavolo

Oh, our big cuddly teddy bear, of course he’ll be good at this. He won’t have to do much to be honest, all you want is to cuddle him. You’ll tell him this, but he’ll ignore your “I’m fine, just stay with me” protests and will get you water or anything else he thinks you need. He may freak out at first, his extreme concern for your health throwing him off balance, but eventually he’ll calm down and his usual light humour will return. You’ll have pleasant chats about life, and will learn some new things about Diavolo that you’ll try reaaally hard to remember. The best part about this, is that he’ll let you stay in his bed the whole next day. Seriously, you worried him there. He won’t let you leave till you’re 100%.

6. Asmo

Asmo will be good at this because he’s been through this many times before. He’s mastered the art of the hangover by now, and will know all the right combinations of fragrances and self-care products to make you feel better. He will either be super affectionate or the complete opposite, holding back affection so that you’ll learn your lesson and not drink so much next time. He’ll be super sweet of course, oh, and let’s not forget about that bath tub. I mean, come on, you’re taking the best bath of your LIFE. Asmo will be right there, filling the rub with lovely oils and making sure you don’t fall asleep in the tub. You’ll come out feeling super refreshed, and will pass out as soon as your head touches the soft silk of his bedsheets.

7. Simeon

This can go one of two ways, either he’ll be as sweet as a tangerine, or he’ll take this opportunity to tease you to the death. Either way, he’s stroking your hair as you lay your head on his lap and confess all your woes. He’ll give you some humorous, but encouraging words, and will do everything and anything you wish. You’ll find yourself laughing a lot, and even if he does decide to tease you, you won’t help but feel comforted in his presence. His hands will feel nice and cold on your skin, and you’ll fall asleep in a peaceful bliss. 

8. Solomon

Kind of similar to Satan in the way he takes care of you. He’ll be caring, but very cool and collected about it. He can sympathize with you more, being human, and can even make you anti-hangover potions (a bonus!). Beware though, because he may take this opportunity to pull some tricks on you. He may tell you that some drink will cure your nausea, when really it’s just water with sugar. If he’s feeling especially cheeky, he may try to break a confession out of you and ask which of the demon brothers you’re interested in. Of course, he wants the answer to be him, but you’ll probably fall asleep before you get to it (that water with sugar is potent you see)

9. Levi

Sorry, but Levi will not be good at this. At first at least. He’ll freak out, not knowing what to do, and will try a bunch of ridiculous things to make you feel better. In the end, all of his attempts will be incredibly entertaining, and you’ll find yourself laughing more than you have in awhile. You’ll really appreciate him for trying. You’ll give him a big hug and tell him all you want is to be there with him. You’ll cuddle up by the t.v and he’ll put on some anime that you won’t pay attention to because you’ll still feel terrible. He’ll notice this, and will keep pausing to make sure you’re okay. Eventually, he’ll just turn off the t.v and drag you to bed, where he’ll awkwardly comfort you as you fall asleep.

10. Lucifer

Alright, I just want to say, I am a full-on Lucifer simp, and even I don’t know if I’d want him taking care of me when I’m drunk. He will take care of you, yes, and quite well, but it will come with repercussions. He’ll tease you, oh boy will he tease you. He will find so much amusement in seeing you like this, that he won’t be able to help himself. He won’t cross the line (like he threatens to do sometimes), but he’ll definitely make some risqué comments that you won’t be able to retaliate in your current state. He won’t really be concerned because he knows you just need to wait this out, so you won’t get any of the lovey attention that you’ll keep begging him for. Eventually you’ll become so frustrated with the lack of affection, that you’ll end up sulking in a corner. Maybe then he’ll calm down and become a bit more gentle towards you, but oh boy, it will take awhile to get there.

11. Belphie

Be prepared for lots of cuddles, his ass is dragging you to bed. He doesn’t understand why you would drink so much, and may be a bit mad and judgemental at first, but of course his love for you will override all. He still won’t know quite how to comfort you though. He’ll definitely offer to pet your hair, and will give you the comfiest pillows to sleep on. You may even find the extreme comfort too much in your nauseous state. Regardless, Belphie will hold you close and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. It won’t be long before he becomes incredibly amused by you. In fact, he’ll become so amused that he’ll completely forget about taking care of you. He’ll find your pleas of misery adorable, and eventually you’ll have to give up on trying to feel better and walk the dizzy path towards sleep. (lol r.i.p)

12. Luke

Luke, oh Luke, this poor bean will be more miserable than you. He’ll scold you the whole time, and will blame this on you spending too much time with demons. This will lead him into a rant about demons and drinking, and you’ll eventually have to tell him to shut up and get you some water. After realizing how truly terrible you feel, he will do a full 180. He’ll become really sweet, and will attend to your every need. But it will take a while, and you’ll have to endure the lecturing before you get there...

Yay, yay that was fun, now it’s time to drink some rum!

The truth ( Chapter 3 of Replaced )

Author : I might get the side characters personality wrong or out of character so, I'm sorry about that. Also in this chapter, I made the removal of pacts is painful like how when we ( MC's ) first got them. My writing sucks here so, please bear it with me.

After I arrived at Purgatory Hall, I saw Luke running towards me and hugged me.

" Ayumi! Your back! "

" Woah there, did something happened Luke? "

" I'm just worried, because you've been taking too long. "

" I'm sorry, something happened while I was finding my earphone. "

" Did any demons hurt you?! What happened?? "

" Nobody hurt me, I just got kicked out from HOL. "

" You got kicked out?? Why? "

" The demon brothers got someone else they like now. They don't like me anymore after I hurt Freya. "

" But your just protecting Jinx! How could they not believe you?! You have done so much for them too! "

I patted Luke's head. He seemed a bit annoyed but enjoyed it nonetheless.

" Well, it's their loss if they can't see my worth. Plus, I can spend more time with you. "

Luke's face lightened up but his smile immediately turn into a concern frown. "

" Ayumi... "

" Yes? "

" Are you okay? "

" I'm okay, don't worry. Let's go bake with Barbatos, I'm in the mood for sweets today. "

" Oh...okay! I'll go ask Simeon if he wants to come. "

" Alright, I'll bring Jinx. "

After a few minutes, Me, Luke and Simeon rode Jinx as we fly to Diavolo's castle. Soon we arrived, and went inside to greet Barbatos.

" Hello Barbatos. "

" Hello Simeon, Luke, Ayumi. "

" Barbatos you forgot Jinx. "

Barbatos chuckled and patted Jinx.

" My apologies, hello to you Jinx. "

The black feline responded with a soft meow😸.

" Follow me. "

We went inside the castle and Barbatos asked.

" What brings all of you here? "

" We want to bake some sweets. "

" I'm also craving for sweets. "

" I see, let's head to the kitchen now. "

We head to kitchen and started baking one of my favorite desserts, French macaroons. I struggled at first but, I'm able to catch up quickly. I managed to make the macaroon shells looked decent and had a small flour fight with Luke. Barbatos eventually stopped us from wasting more flour and Simeon just laughed at our actions.

After the French macaroons is fully baked, we placed the macaroons on a cake stand and served them with some cakes and tea. Soon after, Diavolo and Solomon joined us. We we're having fun chatting until, I felt my skin is burning. I didn't think removing pacts would be this painful.

I tried to hold the pain but Barbatos noticed it before I could do anything. He place his hand on my shoulder with a concern look. Diavolo took notice and proceeds to worry as well.

" Ayumi, are you okay? "

I pulled my sleeves up and watched my pact marks slowly disappearing. The others seemed pretty shocked and probably angry. I clenched my fist tightly trying to endure for a little but, it just worsen the pain.

" Well...this is painful... "

" Why are your pact marks disappearing...?! "

" I gave the brothers my full consent to remove the pact so, they could have a pact with Freya. "

" Freya? The new exchange student? "

Luke nodded while holding my hand.

" Yeah! She's also the one who hit Jinx! "

" I see... "

" Luke! You shouldn't say that. "

" But it's her fault for getting Ayumi kicked out and hated by the demon brothers! "

" Luke is not wrong, Simeon. "

" I- "

Simeon couldn't say anything and proceeds to pinch the bridge of his nose.

" How are you doing with the pain Ayumi? "

" Worse than your food. "

" Seriously. "

" Haha, Ayumi is still as optimistic as ever. "

" It'll be over soon, please endure it for a little longer. "

I nodded and let myself breathe. The pain slowly subside, as I can feel myself return to my normal state again.

" Ayumi? Does it still hurt?? 🥺"

" Don't worry, I'm okay now. Thanks for asking Luke. " I said while patting Luke's head.

" I'm not a kid you know! " Luke said while pouting like a chihuahua.

" Oh Lord Diavolo, can I go visit to the human world? "

" Of course, when? "

" Tomorrow. I want to visit my sisters. "

" Alright. "

" How long will you be away? "

" Probably for a few days or so. "

" Can you buy something while your at the human world? "

" Is it human world ingredients? "

" Yes. I prepared a list for- "

" No thank you. After being your taste tester last time, I'm not risking myself getting another food poisoning. "

" Why are you so mean 😭 "

Everyone laughed at both of our behavior. Solomon kept begging me until I gave up and ended with a long list of human ingredients in my hand.

At HOL

Freya POV :

After me and the demon brothers arrive at HOL, I close the door behind me and muttered a spell under my breath. Slowly, the chains coiling them. I walked toward the demon brothers while they're struggling to escape under my spell.

" What the- What's this?! "

" Why can't we move?! "

" Ew...what's with colour of these chains? "

" Asmo! This is not the time! "

" Who did this?! "

" Haha...Finally...after centuries of failed attempts, I got all of your seven pacts at last. "

" Freya...? "

Beel eyes widened as he looked at me, confused.

" W-what... "

Belphie looked conflicted trying to process the situation.

" What is the meaning of this Freya?! "

" You still don't get it? I thought your smart enough to figure it out already. "

" Why do ya do this?! "

" Simple, pact marks. "

" What are you going to do with our pact marks?! "

" To defeat Lord Diavolo and rule the three realm. "

" You won't be able to defeat Lord Diavolo. He's stronger than you! "

" You might not know this but, I have an ability to steal powers. Once I steal Lord Diavolo's power, I'll be able to take over Devildom. "

" I can't believe it. We trusted you! "

Everyone's reaction is very amusing to watch. Their disbelief, confused and betrayal expressions are priceless!

" Nobody is going to help any of you. Not Diavolo, Not Barbatos, Not Solomon, Not Simeon. Nobody. "

I stood up and walked around them.

" I also heard that Ayumi is going to the human world tomorrow, to visit her sisters. I guess you won't be able getting any help from her either. "

As I walk in circle, I observe each of their expression. Their wrath seemed to spreading all over them. I couldn't help but cackle in amusement. I decided to tease them a little, to see their guilty faces.

" You should be VERY guilty after what all of you have done. "

I walked to Levi.

" You must be happy for wishing to break off the pacts in front of Ayumi, Levi. I'm really happy, knowing that you would make pact just for me and leave your second player afterwards. She must be really lonely after that. "

" I-I didn't mean to... " Levi muttered while looking at the floor.

I walked over to Belphie.

" You must be very lucky to be able to get away easily. She didn't fought back because she's the oldest, the one who takes all the blame, no matter what. It must be nice being the youngest. "

Belphie looked away from me, not making a single eye contact. Then, I walked over to Beel next.

" You must be satisfied to always have your stomach full. Knowing that humans need to eat to live. Ayumi always gave her food to you, because she know how you're struggling a lot to hold your sin. I feel bad for her really. "

Beel eyes started to form tears and looked away from me. I walked to Satan.

" Since I came here, you've always have been getting more impatient and irritated around Ayumi. You even trashed her room and almost destroy her earphone that was gifted from her sister. She still didn't get mad at you and apologise first instead. Aren't you embarrassed? "

" Shut up. "

Satan hissed at me annoyed. I walked at Asmo

" When you stopped paying attention to Ayumi, you've been rude to her. You say a lot of things about her looks. You forgot the fact that humans are VERY emotional. I've always seen her getting insecure and her anxiety slowly getting to her since then. Don't you feel bad? "

" That's not true! My darling won't- "

Asmo broke into tears afterwards. I walked to Mammon.

" Your supposed to protect her Mammon. She manage to get you away from trouble and took the punishment instead. She stand up for you, comfort you with her encouraging words. But, this is how you repay her kindness? "

Mammon looked down at the floor without a word. Lastly, I walked to Lucifer.

" And you. Ayumi doesn't like you the most. We all know how Ayumi has a lot similarities, when it comes comparing her to you. She always had to deal with your long ass lecture. Even though, she had helped you with works. Even in secret, she would lessen your work just to let you spend with your brother. Good job Lucifer. "

Lucifer stare at me with a death glare. He still not putting down his pride.

" Do you know why she did that? "

" She's just doing that because she hated me overworking myself. "

" True, but that's not the main reason. "

" What do you mean by that? "

I bend down on one knee and look at Lucifer.

" She did that for you not to make the same mistake as her. Ayumi always study non-stop just to meet her parents expectations. She barely had any time to spend time with her sisters. They we're very young at that too. One of them also happen to be an infant. "

Lucifer's face slowly turning guilt but manage to stay compose.

" One day, when she return from school. She saw her house on fire. She manage to get her sisters out but, they died...right in her arms with burn scars. She had always been guilty about it. She even got blame for that. Since then, she had always pretend that her sisters we're still alive. Even though she knew, they're gone. "

Lucifer's eyes widened, his face slowly become guilty. I probably remind him Lilith. I love their guilty faces. I laughed.

" HAHAHA! Look at your faces! Seven rulers of Hell, feeling guilty for that pitiful human?! HAHAHA! I'm only teasing but who knew! HAHAHA! "

" Don't call her that! "

" OH, so you finally decide to do something good for her? WELL too bad! I'm going to kill every single of you, once I steal Diavolo's power. You'll be dead before you could say sorry! "

I casted a spell where black thorny vines coiling them. They didn't struggle, they we're too guilty for what they have done. Slowly, their eyes turning lifeless grey as if they're not breathing anymore.

" Now, sleep...Let your sorrow and regrets consume you. "

The next day at Divolo's castle

Ayumi POV :

As I stood next to Barbatos, Lord Diavolo opened a portal to the human world. I picked up Jinx and looked at everyone. Luke seems sad.

" Luke? What's wrong? "

" Please come back quickly! "

" I'll try okay. I will bring back some human world desserts too. "

I patted Luke's head as his eyes brighten up.

" I'll get going now. "

As I was about to walk into the portal, a bright light flashed everywhere and loud rumbling sound. Suddenly my body is slammed to the wall, bleeding. I tried to look up with my trembling state to see someone familiar stood in front of Diavolo.

It was Freya...

" Hello there Lord Diavolo. "

She clawed her fingers in the demon prince's neck. Diavolo couldn't release himself from Freya's grasp.

" I hope you don't mind me borrowing your powers for a while. "

As her fingers dig deeper into the demon prince's neck, Diavolo's eyes slowly turning grey as if he was lifeless. Barbatos tried to attack from behind but Freya able to stop him and slowly draining his powers with her strong grasp.

My eyes widened, I couldn't believe what I witness. I clenched my fist in trying to hold my wrath until, Solomon came and help me stand up.

" Hey are you okay? "

" I'm okay. Where's Simeon and Luke? " I asked, worried if they're injured.

" Don't worry, they're both are hiding. I'll teleport you to them, while I distract Freya. "

I grabbed Solomon's hand immediately.

" Are you crazy?! She'll steal your powers and kill you! "

" I know, but I'd hate it more seeing you hurt. Don't worry, I'll come back. I'm an immortal after all. "

Solomon then casted a spell and teleported me to a hiding spot, where Simeon and Luke is.

" That motherfucker. "

I looked around to find Simeon hugging Luke, calming the little angel. I went to them and cup Luke's face.

" Luke! Are you okay?! Did you get hurt?! "

" I-I'm okay! "

" What happened to Solomon? "

" He's distracting Freya right now. We have to get out of here before she comes- "

BOOM

Freya walked towards us dragging Solomon's body. Following with seven familiar figure behind her. It was the demon brothers. I hold Luke's shaking hand while Simeon stood in front of me.

" Just where do you think your going? "

Just in case you had to skip the last part here a summary:

You had a mental breakdown, Simeon brought you home, calmed you down and you slept in his room.

After your shower and dressing in your usual clothes, you feel much more like your usual self. 

A part of you just wants to forget everything that happened last night. You know you can't.

  "How are you feeling now?" Simeon asks in his usual gentle manner. 

"I'm still confused but I feel like myself again." You give him a kind smile. 

"I'm glad to hear that." Simeon is very relieved. 

"So will you now explain what happened to me last night?" You honestly just want to have an explanation and move forward. 

Simeon seems to sense your simple desire. 

"I know but this is bigger than just what happened to you last night. This isn't just about that, it will change everything that you know about yourself. There is no shame in not wanting the whole truth." Simeon offers you a way out of it. 

You can't accept it. 

"No, I want to know. Please tell me." You shake your head. 

You aren't sure what the story might be but you have to know. Otherwise, it will keep eating you.

  "Alright, in this case, we should go to Lucifer. I think it will be best to hear it from someone who has first-hand knowledge. I think he will be able to explain it in the best way possible to you." Simeon seems troubled. 

"Why would Lucifer know anything about this?" You are very confused. 

"It will all make sense once we arrive. I will be at your side the entire time and no matter what is being said in the room I will be at your side no matter what." Simeon gives you some encouragement. 

You are glad that you can count on him. 

"I will trust you, Simeon." You feel uneasy but at least you have him to support you. 

"That you, that means a lot to me. I just hope that it will stay this way." Simeon casts his gaze to the ground for a moment. 

"Are you ready to go?" 

You take a deep breath. "Yes, let’s go."

"I would go with you but sadly I can't. Just don’t forget that I'm also here for you." Luke seems sullen but it's important to him to support you. 

"That means a lot to me." You give him a light smile. 

Simeon nods and you both head over to Lucifer’s room.

  It feels like a long-distance away. Your thoughts are all over the place. 

Then you are in front of the room.

  Simeon knocks. "Lucifer is us. Please open up."

Lucifer opens the door. He looks like he hasn't slept at all. 

"Please come inside." Lucifer does his best to sound polite but it's obvious that he has a lot on his mind right now.

You go inside and sit on the couch that Simeon sits next to. Lucifer sits down across from you. 

"Do you want tea, coffee, or anything else?" Lucifer doesn't want to talk about it. Yet knows he can't avoid it much longer. 

"No, I'm good." You don't feel like wasting time. 

Simeon just shakes his head. 

"Alright then. I think it's easier if I just tell you the whole story. Is that alright with you?" Lucifer keeps looking at the table in front of him. Like he can't even look at you right now. 

"Yeah, that's alright." You aren't sure where this is going but you have a bad feeling. 

"What I'm about to say isn't an easy topic and it will change everything that you think you know. We could all just pretend that last night never happened." Lucifer doesn't look you in the eyes. It's hard to read him right now. 

"I don't think that I could live like this. Something is going on with me and I need to know the truth." You look at Lucifer with resolve. 

You know that there is something that you need to know. 

Lucifer nods and takes a long breath. Then his eyes meet yours. It seems to be very difficult for him. 

"Alright then. The other day I told you about the person that lived in your room. They meant so much to all of us. They managed the unthinkable and made pacts with me and my brothers. On top of that, I personally was proud to call them a member of my family." Lucifer has a wistful smile on his face. He draws another deep breath, his expression darkens. "They died. It was a horrible tragedy. A moment unwatched and they were dead. It hit all of us very hard. It is still something that is weighing on everyone here." Lucifer shakes his head like he is trying to shake the memory away. Then he looks you deep into your eyes. "They were a good person. One of the best that I have ever met. So after they died their soul got send to heaven. It was, as they say, cleansed. All of their memories were wiped out. They were chosen to become an angel." Lucifer seems to tremble slightly before continuing. "This angel is you." 

Your eyes widen, your lips open to say something. You feel frozen and yet somehow everything clicks into place for you.

  All of the comments they made, their painful looks, the way they just knew things about you, everything suddenly makes sense.

  It's a shock, but deep down you just know it to be true. "I was a human.. and made these pacts. It all makes sense now." You repeat the information you have just gotten. It has yet to fully sink in. 

Simeon puts a hand on your shoulder. 

Lucifer nods. "I know it must be hard to believe."

You don't doubt his words at all. 

"I believe you but why didn't you tell me?" You look at both Simeon and Lucifer. 

"That's because heaven ordered everyone to not mention anything to you. The past life of any angel is strictly forbidden from ever being mentioned. You know how much angels care about purity. Even the mere thought of humans being angels is disgusting to some." Simeon chimes in. He seems very troubled. 

"Does that mean that both of you will be punished now?" You had an idea about the prejudice of some angels, you were taught the very same thing. 

Yet the people you worry the most about are here with you right now. 

"Michael can try to punish me. I was against this from the start. Not just for the sake of my brothers but also you." Lucifer doesn't seem to care much. 

"Why was I chosen then?" It hurts a little to know that he didn't want you to come, even when you can understand it. 

"That was decided over Lucifer’s head. Frankly, he wasn't told who you were until everything was already settled. I was the one that gave them a heads-up." Simeon himself is very unhappy with the whole situation. 

"I don't understand this at all. Why did you then accept me coming here despite everything? You could have kicked me out. I would have left if you didn't give me the room." This whole situation doesn't make sense to you. 

Lucifer closes his eyes, nodding. "I should have done that but I couldn't. After I saw you…I just couldn't send you away." Lucifer seems to have very complicated feelings. His face seems to hide great pain. 

It gives you heartache.

  "Is that why Satan destroyed the dorm? He didn't want me here?" You feel so conflicted right now. 

"No, he was just angry that he had to lie to you." Lucifer doesn't even hesitate for a second. "As much as it hurt all of us that you can't remember us, what hurt the most was that we had to play pretend. I also think my brothers have done a poor job of keeping the secret from you." Lucifer gets a headache just thinking of their poor attempts of lying to you.

  You weakly nod. Remembering all their mistakes, it's amazing that you just glossed over everything so easily. 

"I'm very sorry. I must have hurt everyone so much." You know that you aren't to blame but you feel guilty. 

"Nobody blames you for any of this mess. I have picked you from the list of possible candidates. You just fit perfectly. So I'm to blame. Just know that despite everything, I'm glad that you are here." Lucifer is ridden with guilt and grief. 

His mixed feelings are reflected in your own heart.

  "You picked me because of my file?" This surprises you a lot. 

"Yes, I must admit that it reminded me of a lot of your old self." Lucifer feels like he should have known better. 

"The others did they agree to me being here after knowing about my previous life?" You can't honestly imagine it. 

"I cannot say what is in their hearts but overall they agreed. It's probably for the best if you ask them yourself about this." Lucifer himself struggles with his own emotions; he can't even imagine how anyone else might feel. 

"You knew them… me before too right Simeon?" You aren't sure how to address this part of yourself yet. 

"Yes, we were fellow exchange students and I counted them as a friend as well." Simeon looks guilty. He is deeply troubled about his own emotions. 

"Did you take care of me as you did because of that?" You feel very uneasy asking this. It scares you. 

"While I recognized you right away I simply took care of you like I would with any other student. It was simply required of me. Our relationship grew naturally from us working together. I honestly regret that I wasn't allowed to tell you the whole story about your previous life. This would've saved you a lot of grief right now. " Simeon looks sympathetic towards you. 

You can feel that he genuinely cares about you and it's true that he treated you just like everyone else. Even if you felt like he was ever especially nice to you. Maybe it was subconscious, maybe it's just in your head or maybe there is another reason. 

You can't figure it out right now.

  "What am I supposed to do now? Go back to heaven? I don't want anyone to suffer because of me." You cast your eyes onto the table.

"You need to stay." Lucifer doesn't move a muscle saying this.

  His words surprise you. You look up and meet his eyes. You open your lips, no words leave your mouth. Your mind is blank. 

"Don't listen to him. You can do whatever you think is best for yourself. Take your time and decide what you want to do." Simeon makes a low sigh, you almost didn't hear it. 

You glance at him and he has a kind expression. 

"I'm dead serious. When you were a human I told you that your soul is mine and I intend to keep it that way. There are ways to get your old memories back and I have no intention of letting you go back to a place where I can't reach you." Lucifer's words sound menacing, but they speak of a deep, desperate wish. His pain must be too big to let even a semblance of your past life go. 

  You can only stare at him in disbelief. 

"Lucifer, you can't just force them to do something like that. The person that you knew became someone else. You cannot force them to become whatever you desire them to be. They have their own life, feelings, and memories now." Simeon sternly tries to talk sense into Lucifer. 

"I'm not forcing them to do anything other than staying here. If you or they are going to hate me for that then so be it." Lucifer doesn't even blink when he says this. He isn't joking. 

"Do you even know what consequences there will be when we have to return to heaven and you keep them here?" Simeon is in disbelief. 

"Yes, there might be a war unless they choose to stay and become a demon," Lucifer says this so matter of fact that it makes you shiver. 

"Hold on, I don't want a war to happen." You can't stand for something like this. 

"There won't be a war as long as you stay here at your own will," Lucifer states this so matter of fact. It seems like he has lost his mind. 

"How can you threaten something like this? Lucifer, this is serious! You force them to stay no matter what. How can you be so selfish?" Simeon seems very angry right now. You are glad that he is standing up for you. 

"I know you sometimes forget it but I am a demon and I will do whatever I can to obtain what I want." Lucifer's gaze seems to throw daggers at Simeon. 

You feel the tense air pushing you far back into your chair.

"Lucifer, I will not let you force anything like this upon them against their free will." Simeon almost slams the table in front of him. 

"So, it's alright for you if they agree to stay on their own terms, right?" An ironic smile grazes Lucifer's face. 

Simeon narrows his eyes, shaking his head. "Are you even listening to yourself?" 

"Well, it doesn't matter much to me why they stay but from my point of view. I still have an entire year to convince them to stay regardless." Lucifer seems confident.

  You still have a hard time with all of this. You barely even understand how it came to this point. 

"I think we should leave now. We will talk about this later. Come let's go, he is unreasonable right now." Simeon puts his hand on your arm, in a protective manner. 

You look at Simeon, you can only nod. You don't even know where to start with this mess. 

"You are free to leave Simeon but I will not change my stance and you can take a few days off to clear your mind. I already talked with Diavolo about this." He dismisses Simeon and then addresses you in a kind manner. His 180 response is very strange to you but then again this whole day is strange. 

Simeon just shakes his head and stands up. He still seems irritated, you have never seen him like this.

  You stand up and shoot a glance at Lucifer, who looks almost wistful at you. 

Then you walk out, following Simeon.

  Outside of the door, Simeon stops taking a deep breath. 

"I'm sorry that everything became such a mess. Everything must be a lot right now. You need to take your time and let everything sink in. I will support you no matter what." Simeon had no idea that Lucifer would turn this into an even bigger problem. 

"I'm just so lost now." You are barely able to even say this much. 

"That's understandable. I will bring you back to my room. You can rest there." Simeon wants to support you. 

"Thank you but I want to be alone right now. I just need to collect my thoughts for a while. Can you tell that to the others?" Your head is a big mess.

"Of course. Give me a call or come to me whenever you want alright?" Simeon is back to his gentle self.

  This must be difficult for him as well.

You weakly nod. 

Simeon brings you to your room. No more words are exchanged between you two.

  You take a heavy breath as soon as your door closes behind you. 

"I was human before." You whisper these words to yourself.

  It's still hard to believe. 

What are you going to do now?

These words echo in your head for the rest of the day way into the night.
