Rating the Seasons - Futari Wa

So as I have been watching each season I have been rating different aspects of it and giving an overall rating. I thought I'd share my thoughts and see what other's think. This post is about Futari Wa, not including Max heart. I rated the seasons separately however I do give both seasons 2 bonus points to their overall rating for being the pioneers of the show. Respect your elders and all that jazz.

Futari Wa Pretty Cure

Plot: 6/10

So far the plot has been pretty average

The stones have been stolen and only two remain and the precure have to defeat the enemies and get the other 5 back

I enjoyed the side plot about Honoka and Kiriya’s friendship/borderline romance

I hate that the queen doesn’t open her eyes or move her mouth

Feels like cheap animation

I don’t like how the bad guys got the power of the stones back, seemed cheap

I like mipple and mepple’s little romance story with each other

Villians: 5/10

Very 90’s esque

Pisard looks like david bowie from the labyrinth

I like Kiriya’s story arch

Everyone else was kinda one note and forgettable

The 3 new villains are slightly more interesting

The woman is kinda weird in her human form, she seems to not want to be evil, she seems depressed and exhausted

Magical Items: 4/10

Not a fan of the whole cell phone and cards idea

Seems very impractical

Not a fan that they can only transform when together and can only make attacks when holding hands

Only having 2 different attacks is kind of boring.

Pollun gives them a new power which I like but I think it is dumb that he has to give it to them each transformation instead of it being permanent

Overall Season Rating: 8/10

The average of all the ratings make it a 6/10 but it gets 2 extra points for being the first of the series

Futari wa Pretty Cure: Max Heart Movie 1 / Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart: The Movie / 映画 ふたりはプリキュア マックスハー - Similar to it's show counterpart, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart (not yet listed, soon!), This is safe for a younger audience. No sexualization, none of that. It is *mostly* unrelated to the previous two series, and I think you could watch it by itself just fine, even if you might not know the main cast or why they matter at all. As with all precure media, be aware that it does feature mild flashing lights and flashing colours.

Genres : Action, Magical Girl, Henshin Heroes, Shoujo, Fantasy

Type : Movie

Released : Summer release of April 16th, 2005.

Trigger Warnings: Young feminine screams of fear/pain, grave injury of a young girl (no blood, no broken bones, scuff marks present, violent shaking, passing out), crying, animal like creatures getting badly injured (no broken bones, no blood, scuff marks present, shaking), suspected death of a character, somewhat stereotypical depiction of a witch (not green, but she's. Definitely a bit iffy), mild swears, flashing lights, flashing colours.

55 PreCure Girls Set to Appear in New PreCure Crossover Film with Voices in October 2018

On the day Cure Macherie and Cure Amour joined the ongoing 15th TV series Hugtto! PreCure, Toei Animation introduces the official title and poster visual for the upcoming new PreCure crossover film to be released on October 27, 2018. In addition to the previously-announced Cure Black and Cure White from the first series Futari wa PreCure, the new visual for Eiga Hugtto! PreCure♡Futari wa PreCure All Stars Memories reveals that a total of 55 PreCure girls will appear in the 25th feature film.

  And the happiest news for the fans is that all of the 55 original voice cast are confirmed to voice their characters. The last time all PreCure girls appeared with their voices in a crossover film was PreCure All Stars DX3 released in March 2011. While crossover films have been made every spring even after that, some PreCure girls from the past series were on the screen without their voices.
