「知と共に疑いは育つ」って？ 奥深い意味があります

管理職は中堅クラスの社員から抜擢するにしても、現場での「匠」といわれるベテランはこれからどんどん退職していく傾向にある。ベテランの知識をどんどん若手に学ばせたいのは山々だが、一朝一夕にはいかない。座学だけで継承できるのはほんの一部の知識、ノウハウでしかない。 　そこでナレッジマネジメントの手法を取り入れ、ポータルを構築し、ネット上で仕事上の具体的な質問ができるようにした。ベテラン社員たちの中でも技術的な優れている人材を回答者にすえて、時間をかけずに質問に答える仕組みを作ったのだ。 　もちろん同じ種類の質問に対してはその都度FAQを作り、ポータルサイトに掲載している。 　若手社員はこの仕組みを利用することで何を得るのかといえば、それは「知恵の存在」だろう。仕事をしていく中で自分の現在の仕事に即した知恵や知識が会社蓄積されていることを知る。そうした実感が、仕事への意欲を高め、モチベーションをあげていくきっかけになることは言うまでもない。それは小さなきっかけなのかもしれないが、その知恵がもたらす仕事上の効果を実感することは大きな好影響をもたらすはずだ。日ごろ文句の多い批判分子的若手社員も、組織に蓄えられた知識の層の厚さに、「うちの会社も捨てたもんじゃないな」と思い直すかもしれない。 ドキュメントの限界を補うコミュニティ 　こうしたベテランの知恵とノウハウは文書などドキュメントに残していればいい、という意見もある。コミュニティまで作る必要はあるのか、という疑問である。 　確かに過去の仕事の詳細を丁寧にドキュメント化してあれば、それらをつぶさに確認することで、若い社員が「なるほど」と納得できる知恵を獲得することができるだろう。しかし、それだけではなかなか伝えきれないものもある。 　例えば、ある問題が起こって、対処方法がドキュメントに残っていたとする。何かの部品を問題の箇所にジョイントさせればいい、そんな知識を得たとしよう。先輩の仕事のドキュメントを確認してその通りにやってみる。しかしどうしてもうまくいかない。そんなことがよくある。 　これには理由がある。ドキュメントでは「Aという部品を問題箇所にジョイントさせればいい」とあるだけだが、実は、ジョイントする場合のさまざまな条件があり、それらをクリアして初めてうまくいくというような、「隠れノウハウ」がある場合が多いのである。 　「隠さないで書いておいてくれればいいじゃないか」と言いたくもなるが、全ての仕事に対して細かく抜け落ちのないようにノウハウを記録し、ドキュメント化することはほぼ不可能な作業だともいえる。 　PCの操作などを例にして考えると分かりやすい。問題が起こったときに、解決方法を探して試してみるというのは多くの人が経験しているはずだ。そして書かれてあるとおり、言われたとおりにやっているのに、まったく解決できないというケースに遭遇したことはないだろうか。 　そんなときはどうするか、多くの人はPCに詳しい友人や知人に事情を説明して助けを求めるだろう。すると何のことはない、ちょっとした操作を加えただけで、問題解決することが多いはずだ。 　若い人材が仕事の問題で行き詰まった時、自然な形で専門的な領域について解決方法を求める場所があると、仕事のスピードは格段に上がる。コミュニティの中で現場を熟知したベテラン社員、「匠」クラスの人材が詳細に解決方法をすぐさま若手社員に伝えることの効果は計り知れない。

大きなアイデアや想像力、そして大胆さも。 医師を最も必要とする地域社会で働けるように世界の医師達を育成するハバナの「費用のかからない大きな解決策」ラテンアメリカ医科大学をジャーナリストであるゲイル・リードが紹介するトークです。

アメリカでは、医療制度改革がありますが、医療従事者たちは不足しています。地球規模の医療危機。人的資源の欠乏の為、2020年までに、４万５千人のプライマリーケア医師が不足するでしょう。

我々は問題の一部でもあります。アメリカは発展途上国からの医師の第一の輸入国でもあります。

個々の学生たちはあらゆる「常識」に挑みます。彼らは、学校の最も危険なリスクであり希望です。彼らは地球上で最も貧しく 荒んだ場所から集められてきました。

優秀なだけでなく、彼らはコミュニティーが切実に必要とする医師となるだろうと信じる学校の期待を託され、多くの医師が行かないような貧しい地域や危険な地域で

キューバに学生たちが集まる第二の理由は、この島独自の健康レポートカードでそれはしっかりとしたプライマリーケアに依存しています。

ランセット誌の委員会は、キューバを健康において最も良い成果を上げている中所得国のひとつと評価しています。

NGOセーブ・ザ・チルドレンは、キューバをラテンアメリカで最も母親にやさしい国だと評価しています。キューバは、アメリカと同程度の寿命とより低い新生児死亡率を誇ります。

ELAMの教育は厳しいですが、80％の学生は卒業します。科目はごく一般的なもので、基礎そして臨床科学などです。

このような実地教育は、チームアプローチと共に行われ、チームとしての働き方、チームの指揮の取り方、少しの謙虚さの必要性も学びます。

卒業してからこれらの医師たちは、その知識を看護師や助産婦。地域医療従事者と共有します。

それは、彼らがより良い仕事をするように育てるためで、新たな代わりと交代させるのではありません。彼らは、伝統的な呪術師や治癒師と協力もします。
