Let's go from 三 to 川 today! The name 早川 is read Hayakawa. Both very useful jōyō kanji.
早 means early or fast. It can be read haya.i, haya.meru/haya.maru, sō, or saッ. There are actually two common adjectives read hayai: 早い, which can mean early or fast, and 速い, which only means fast. You can remember the difference by radical: 早 contains sun 日 (=morning = early), and 速 contains walk/movement ⻌ (=fast).
The second character is 川, the prettiest three vertical lines in show business. It means river, and it’s read kawa, san, or sen.
