"welcome back." he made his way towards you upon hearing your voice, with a warm expression blossoming across his face. you noticed how his freckles caught the sunlight that filtered in through the windows, making them resemble the amber leaves of fall sprinkled on his cheeks.

each and every time you get to see him, you feel as though you fall in love all over again. his beauty simply cannot be compared.

“okay, so basically, i did my usual commissions, right? and then one of them was to feed this little old lady’s pets since she was out. she has this cutest fluffy dog that just kept wanting to play, and i must’ve stayed there for about an hour running back and forth!” you laugh, glancing up at him to catch his warm smile. he loved hearing about the small details, and that’s one of the many things that you adore about him.

“what was the dog’s name?” he inquired, and began to rustle his fingers through your hair. you swore that it can make you fall asleep each and every time he does it, and it’s always the most soothing thing in the world.

“his name was bubba.” you lean in, loving the feeling of a nice head massage. “bubba! oh my goodness, isn’t that the perfect name?”

“oh yeah, and then i helped out with a promotional banner. i didn’t even know that it could be a commission. it was great fun, i got some generous rewards from it. but honestly…”

you continue to go on, ranting about the best parts of your entire day, and he nodded as you spoke, sorting out any tangles in your hair, asking about certain pieces of information from time to time.

he would make little braids in your hair and then take them out again as he concentrated on your stories. freminet was quite a good hairstylist, and that sometimes made you ask him how he got to be so good, but he never gave you a direct answer.

“oh! and then i saw an old friend right before i got dinner. i was so surprised that they traveled-" you pause with a big yawn.

"traveled all the way here. i was so happy to get the chance to catch up with them, but they seemed to be in a hurry.” you noted.

“well, do you know how long they’ll be staying?” he combed his fingers through your ends.

“thankfully, it seems they have some business to do here, so i’ll most likely see them around! ah man, that’ll be great.” you murmur sleepily, trying to adjust your head to get comfortable.

“i’m happy that’s the case. it can be a relief to see a familiar face.” he noticed that you were getting more tired by the minute.

"mhm.." you lifted your head, and placed it into freminet's lap. you didn’t have much more to say, so you just wanted to be close to him.

"y/n.." blinking in surprise, he still didn't feel completely used to the affection you showed him, and often felt bad if he were to specifically ask.

but he absolutely loved every single bit of it. it was new. but such a magnificent feeling. everytime you gave him your lovely compassion, he felt as if he were imagining a faraway dream. the amount of trust you shared with him.. nobody has ever gotten remotely close to it, except for lyney and lynette, but even then, this was entirely different.

you eventually doze off, your breathing growing slower. he froze in place, as if the slightest of movement would disturb your peace.

he noticed your hair got out of place again, falling across your face, and so he slowly reached one hand down towards you, gently moving your strands behind your ear. he then adjusted the other side, making sure that you would sleep without a bother.

seeing you like this almost made his eyes want to tear up.

everything about you was precious to him. he caressed your crown, creating a gentle motion with his thumb, and the room was completely quiet to him in that moment of time, except for your light breathing and freminet's beating heart.

"i love you, y/n." he softly whispered, and finally rested an arm on your back and closed his eyes.

Liu is defintely the type of lover to give you flowers without a reason! Just normal Tuesday? The most ordinary day in the world? Cool, here are your flowers! I mean flowers in every kind!! Maybe just a single on or handmade boquets (he doesnt like the one in flower shops, thinks that you deserve something from heart)? Mostly gives you the ones that have meaning - he is great at remembring them. Based on occasion or the things he want you to say, you will receive the one that fits the best. He loves receiving flowers! Liu always puts them in vase (propably his most precious one, becasue hello!! they are from you!!) or dry them. He doesnt have his favorite ones, he just is happy to get them from you, but prefers potted plants. The most important thing about them is the fact that they live longer, they dont die after week or so, he just can keep caring about them and they will remind him of you!
