boyfriend material actions that taewoon did for eunho

• always telling her how much he loves her, and you know he genuinely cares about her and you can see that he's always truly happy with her

• has helped eunho with her dream. he was constantly encouraging her, telling her to not give up and staying by her side. whenever she was doubting herself, taewoon was always there to reassure her

• being protective over her. for example, when eunho was injured because of heechan, taewoon was there to protect her, even threatening heechan afterwards,, or when he gives her a helmet when she rides on his motorcycle,, or when he joins her to deliver chicken,, or when he took her to the hospital and stayed next to her until she was okay again

• he took responsibility for his confession towards her and didn't push it aside. he joked around and teased her when he realised that their relationship was becoming awkward. he also gave her time to think about it and didn't force anything out of her. he did everything he could so that she would reciprocate the feelings and wooed her, trying his best to win her heart and obviously he did

• hyun taewoon did not take the easy way out by running away and letting his father 'protect' eunho but rather, worked on his own to protect the girl that he loves most. he's doing everything he can to protect her because he doesn't want history to repeat itself (the joongi situation)

• he even sang for her when she was feeling down, picking a song that explained how he felt towards her

school 2017 is ending soon and i'm honestly not ready to let go of this couple whom i love so very much. their development throughout the drama; as classmates, to acquaintances, to friends and being boyfriend & girlfriend. these two have been through hell and back, made it through so many obstacles and curveballs that were thrown at them and they deserve nothing but happiness. they want nothing but for the other person to be happy and they're fine with being hurt themselves as long their significant other is happy and i honestly think that's beautiful.

even though a lot of the characters of school 2017 annoyed me to death (cough cough the teachers and parents), it is one of my favorite dramas. 

the relationship between eunho and taewoon was so beautiful. i love the gradual transition between friends to lovers. being able to see them slowly realize that they like each other more than friends was very realistic. a lot of the time dramas make the romantic feelings a little forced with how fast they progress and with how they go about confessing and continuing their relationship. (for example: enemies to lover aus that progress to fast w lots of misunderstandings, asshole men who think they can treat women like shit and then get them to go on a date, etc.) so it was very refreshing to see a healthy main romance.

one of the most important things about their “love story”, to me, is that it wasn’t forced. taewoon took responsibility for his confession. he always thought about how she would feel. he was a bit persistent in sticking by her side and making sure their relationship wasn’t strained because of his feelings. he didn’t pressure her into giving him a response. he waited until she was ready to give him one. even when things (briefly) went south in their relationship, they were thinking about how the other would feel and how they could fix things. 

all of the characters and their relationships, including friendships, were very mature? some of them started out very childish but with help they figured out how to grow and be mature. they learned to talked to each other about how they felt, to support each other, to protected each other. they figure out how to have fun and act like children yet be able to have serious conversations about the future and their worries and sorrows. they came together to get rid of serious problem as well as stick up for those who have been wronged. 

i don’t really know where i was going with this but i just . love the growth. i love that season. i love the characters. i love the ~mysterious~ yet playful story. i love the friendships. i just [sighs] loved school 2017 lolz
