Hiii, nonnie! Welcome back and I'm sorry I'm only now getting to your ask, I was super busy and couldn't sit down to write at all. I love this idea though, it's super adorable! I went and noted down some HCs for the men I could imagine best in this scenario. Also ofc you can call yourself 🍓anon!! I'm happy to welcome you :3

"That Day I Befriended A Slime" ft. Xiao, Zhongli, Tighnari, Alhaitham, Childe, Diluc x Reader [Fluff, Crack]

→ Xiao immediately pulls you away from the little anemo slime that trails behind you as you walk along the path of your shared home. He immediately pulls out his polearm and points it toward the little slime. It closes its eyes in panic and starts to cry and shake, flapping its little wings in terror.

"Xiao! What by the Seven are you doing?", you pout. You throw yourself between him and the slime with furrowed eyebrows, before you push the tip of his polearm away and pick the slime up to cradle it in your arms protectively. "Do you know what this is? It's dangerous!", he remarks with a sharp tone. "Dangerous?! Where? Look at it! You even made it cry..."

Needless to say, you hold a slime as a pet ever since. Although he keeps a close eye on it. Can't be too trusting.

→ Zhongli left you alone for a mere three hours and he comes back to see you kneeling in your garden and feeding bread to a geo slime. It wasn't often the ex-archon has gone into high-alert mode since he retired, but this sure is one of those situations.

"Love, get away from this thing and come back inside!", he says with evident panic in his voice as he hurries your way. He moves his arms in a swift motion making a jade shield appear around you. The geo-energy shockwave it creates sends the little slime flying backwards into the flowerbed. "Arthur no!", you yell as you hurry after the slime to pick it up again and brush the dirt off of the slime with your bare hands. "He is friendly, don't hurt him, darling! Look! He reminds me of you.", you explain with a fond smile as you hold the slime out in his direction.

Living with you surely never became boring. To Zhongli, you are a marvel he finds himself lost in every day anew. And he loved you oh so dearly.

→ Tighnari finds you tending to several plants as he arrives in Pardis Dhyai. You smile and wave in his direction excitedly as you spot him, which he mirrors. That was until he saw a pair of very familiar-looking leaves move behind you in the grass. All his hair begins to stand on end as he rushes over to you to knock you out of the way and making you clumsily fall on top of him to soften the fall.

"What's has gotten into you, T?!", you fumed as you get back up again, pat some dirt off your clothes and stare at Tighnari in disbelief. "This slime was about to attack you!", he says as he grabs his bow and begins to scan the environment. "Where did it go?" "Probably into hiding, you scared the poor thing." "Poor... thing?", he questioned in confusion. "Well yes, I've been looking after it. It's very cuddly. Look there it is." Completely baffled he watches as you hurry over the little dendro slime that was peeking up from the flowerbed.

He quietly watches in disbelief as you talk to the slime as it nuzzles into your trousers. You were truly full of surprises.

→ Alhaitham is just reading a book as you walk through the door with a big flower pot. A few leaves are sticking out at the top of it. You put the pot down on the dinner table before going into the kitchen. At first, he didn't pay it too much mind; that was until the leaves in the port started rustling and a dendro slime suddenly jumped out of it.

"What you brought home is not a plant!", Alhaitham sighed. "I know.", you simply shrugged as you came back from the kitchen with a tray of vegetables. "You know? What do you mean you know?!" "I found the little guy in the wild, he was wounded by a Rishboland Tiger just outside the city gates. I nurtured it back to health and then he started trusting me. Now I picked him up.", you explain rationally. You begin smiling excitedly as you feed some carrots to the happily gurgling slime.

He knows there was nothing that would deter you from keeping the slime, so he just quietly accepts that he now has yet another roommate. At least this one was able to be quiet, unlike a certain architect.

→ Childe sees you kneeling next to a little hydro slime as he is out on patrol. He draws his bow and gets ready to shoot and arrow at the slime that is currently nibbling on your finger.

"Step aside, love!", he demands sharply. You look over to where you find him standing, drawing an arrow with his bow with furrowed eyebrows. Before he is able to land the shot, you throw yourself over the slime, causing him to have to shoot the arrow into the air instead. You could hear a gurgly whine as the slime attempts to flee in panic. "Ajax! Stop! You're scaring it!"

He stands there dumbfounded as he watches you chase after the crying hydro slime, trying to console it. You really were one of a kind and Childe found himself falling in love with you even more again. You always managed to see the good in everything surrounding you and he admires you for it.

→ Diluc comes home late as he spots you sleeping on the sofa. There was a faint warm glow coming out of your direction and he wonders what it has to mean. As he gets closer he spots a pyro slime sleeping on top of your chest. You are clinging your arms around it in your sleep.

All alarms inside of his head went off at the same time as he quickly grabbed the flower vase on the table and started pouring the water over the slime.

"Luc, what in Celestia!", you scream as you jump up from the sofa, now soaking wet. The slime let out a gurgly whine as it crawls under the blanket, scaredly peeking up at Diluc from under it. "There was a slime lying on top of you!", he says, panic still evident in his voice. "Yeah, I know!! I met it today and it jumped into my lap cuddling with me. So I took it home!"

He stood there completely flabbergasted. How did you even manage to befriend a slime? He has never heard such a thing was possible. But yet again, you were special in any meaning of the word. He knew as much by now. So he shouldn't even be surprised.

Dust !!! I can just imagine these boys, Venti, kaeya, ayato with someone shy. Like these shit eat that up(I'm not against them with other personalities) but they love when their s/o turns red and flustered.

Ayato just has this proud look after he kissed his s/o to show that their in a relationship, one was to see the look on his s/o and the other was to ward suitors off

→ Kaeya teases you at every given opportunity. He drops the cheesiest and flirtiest lines with the widest smirk known to man, that make heat rise to your cheeks and make you want to bury your face in your hands. For one, he does so because he wants everyone to know you're his but also to see the absolutely adorable expression of yours when he flusters you. He is also not too shy to passionately kiss you in public either.

On the way home from the Tavern Kaeya pinned you against the next-best house wall and started peppering open-mouthed kisses from your lips over your jaw down to your collarbones. "Kaeya! We're in public, stop it!" you squealed. "Hmmm. No, I don't think I will... especially not when I notice what kind of effect I have on you."

→ Ayato is an absolute menace. As soon as he finds out you're putty in his hands whenever he makes any advances on you, he sees it as a personal challenge to provoke that reaction out of you as much as possible. How could he not when you always look so adorable? He whispers sweet nothings in your ear when you're out, or suddenly pulls you in to ravish your lips. If you look cute enough and if the mood strikes, he may even be so bold to do that out in public - after all everyone should know he is yours and you're his.

You felt your lover's arms wrap around your waist and a firm chest press against your back. He leans in to whisper all the terms of endearment in your ear that he is sure will get you flustered. "Ayato!" you reprimand. “You flirt in the most inconvenient situations, do you know that?”  “You know you love it.”

→ Tighnari is a master of sass and teasing. Just one look at his face is usually enough for you to tell if he is up to no good again. Whenever he has that signature smirk plastered across his lips, you know he has something on his mind again that you'd find yourself on the receiving end of.

With arms outstretched you fell into Tighnari's embrace and nuzzled against his chest. He gently tipped your chin up like he always did just before he was about to kiss you. So you slightly leaned in and closed your eyes in anticipation. Expecting his plush lips to unite with yours - but nothing happened. You hesitantly opened your eyes again only to see a devilish smirk on his face causing you to squirm in his embrace. "Why are you closing your eyes, are you tired, love?" "Nari! You're so mean!"

→ Heizou knows exactly the kind of effect he has on you and he absolutely abuses it whenever he can. Of course, always in a loving and never in a malicious manner. He just can't help thinking you're the cutest thing in the entire world when you squirm and get unbelievably flustered by his advances.

Heizou had been teasing you for the entire evening already and thanks to that, you had become so flustered you could barely even stand looking at him anymore. With the most prominent smirk on his lips, he leaned in to whisper something in your ear. But quick as you shoved him away again before he could utter a single word. "Oh shut up already!" "Make me."

→ Childe is someone whose love language is flirtatious teasing. Expect him to take every chance he gets to remind you of things that makes you avert your eyes and stumble over your words like there is no tomorrow. And if you plan to take a jab back at him - don't. You're only going to make things worse for yourself.

A sheer onslaught of teasing comments and pecks of his lips across your jawline and neck had turned you into a shy and flustered puddle. All you managed to get out were some incoherent giggles and the occasional whine for him to stop. "Ugh, you're so unbearable." you groan with a wide grin, eliciting the widest grin from the ginger himself. A teasing bite into your collarbone as well as the mischievous glint in his eyes let you know that whatever was about to come next would verbally knock you off your feet. And it did. "Oh? Is that so? That sure sounded different yesterday."

→ Alhaitham is generally not someone who'd immediately come to mind when you think about teasing. But he is a natural at it, thanks to his very blunt and straightforward demeanor. He can be an absolute tease and absolutely smug when you're his partner and as soon as he feels comfortable around you. Prepare to be met with hardcore sarcasm and playful teasing to rile you up or get you flustered. He never admitted it but he loves to know he can have that effect on you.

You looked across the room to where Alhaitham was sitting but instead of reading, he was just staring at you surreptitiously over the book that he was still holding in front of his face. Checking you out from head to toe, with an inkling of a smug smile painted across his lips. The realization that he had been staring at you and observing your every move starts to dawn on you and you had to turn away to hide your flustered face from him. "Archons, Haitham! How long have you been staring at me? I can't stand it when you do that!" you whine as you hide your face behind your hands. "Well if you can't stand it, you should get yourself a chair."

→ Venti knows how to push your buttons and he sure as hell exploits that every now and then. When he drags you to the Tavern with him he loves to pretend to become drunk and becomes extra clingy. The bard, who already has a ready tongue, would become even more outspoken. Lulling you with words of affection and physical touch until you melt in his arms and have to hide your abashed expression.

Venti stood up from his bar stool and summoned his lyre. He loudly cleared his throat as if he was preparing to proudly announce something - which he most certainly was about to do. You could see that mischievous glint in his eyes from a mile away. "Everyone, allow me to play a song for my wonderful second half over here. Because I think everyone needs to know how wonderful, beautiful, and patient they are. And especially cute when they're flustered, like right now." As the room fell silent, every gaze in the room darted to your form, which was slumped over the bar in a futile attempt to hide your face in shame.

"That Day I Befriended A Slime" (II) ft. Ayato, Itto, Kaeya, Kaveh, Albedo x Reader [Fluff, Crack]

→ Ayato didn’t anticipate returning home from his meeting to find you sitting in the small pond in front of the Estate. You are drenched from head to toe and are just about to be tackled by the hydro slime in front of you.

"Oh, Archons no!", Ayato yells, dropping everything he is holding to rush towards your position and practically dives into the water to shield you from the attack of the slime. He pulls out his sword and tells you to get behind him. Slightly nervous he looks around because he knows he will have trouble defeating it alone. A hydro vision is useless against hydro slimes. He hates feeling so helpless but he might have to rely on someone else here. "Thoma! Ayaka! Get here quick!" "Ayato...", you giggle, placing a hand on his shoulder and brushing a strand of drenched pastel blue hair behind his ear. "It won't harm anyone. I found it in Chinju Forest and it followed me back here." "...w-what?"

He watches in disbelief as the slime slowly crawls into your arms and nuzzles into your chest before it closes its eyes and starts emitting gurgly purring noises.

→ Itto is faced with your beaming smile before you pull him by his hand, prompting him to follow you. All you had told him was that you need to show him something and he is practically bursting with excitement about what it was.

"What, what, what?! Come on, tell me. What do you want to show me?!", Itto beams. "Patience! We're almost there!" You lead him to a small enclosed garden behind one of the shops in Hanamizaka, taking a little glass jar out of your bag that contains some rocks. You shake the glass a couple of times and Itto looks around, seemingly waiting for a reaction. His eyes widen in surprise as soon as a small geo slime crawls out under the hedge and in your direction. "Do you want to give him a treat?", you ask teasingly, but you don't even have to wait for an answer as he is rushing straight towards the little slime with open arms already. "Oh by the gods, look at the little dude!! We gotta give him a name. Itto the Second? Itto Junior? Whadda'ya think?"

Needless to say, the slime is now a new addition to your little family. And another upside is that Ushi seems to get along with it as well.

→ Kaeya meets up with you at your apartment after being done with work for the day. He was thinking about your homemade dinner all day already and is ready to melt into your arms as soon as he is able to. What he does not expect today is walking into your apartment bathroom and finding a sleeping cryo slime in your bathtub.

"Uuuuh... sweetheart?", he chuckles with unease in his voice. "Yes, Love?" "You are aware that there is a cryo slime peacefully taking a nap in your bathtub, yes?", he inquired and scrunched his eyebrows in concern. "Yes." "Yes?!", he exclaims in disbelief. "Yes.", you reassure. "I bonded with it when it was hot outside and we both took shelter under the same tree. Poor thing looked scared to death. It probably thought it would melt. So... I put it in my bag and put it in the bathroom because it's cold there.", you satisfy his curiosity. "Plus... it kind of reminds me of you." You have never seen him that quiet before. What a rare moment to see the Cavalry Captain lost for words.

And as much as finding the little slime flabbergasted him. He soon warms up to it and you sometimes even find him napping on your sofa with the slime pressed flush to his chest.

→ Kaveh comes home only to find a dendro slime on his desk, happily chewing away on his blueprints. Taking a few seconds before processing what is happening he darts forward to push the slime off his desk and pull the saliva-drenched remnants of his blueprints out of the slime's mouth.

"No, no... noooo.", he groans, pulling on his hair. He has no idea how it got in here but there is only one possible explanation for it. Angrily he marches into the living room with his fists balled on his sides. "Alhaitham! Why did you put a slime into my room?!", he fumes. "Because your partner dropped it off here earlier even though I told them you're not here yet. They said something about a... pet? It wanted to chew on my books so I threw it into your room.", he explains without looking up from the book in his hands once. "Oh grand. And you didn't consider that it would continue to chew on my things there?" "I fail to see how that is my problem."

However, it sort of starts to become his problem as soon as Alhaitham finds out you and Kaveh named the slime "Hai-Hai" in reference to the sprouts on its head that apparently share similarities to his own hair.

→ Albedo finds you and Klee kneeling in the grass just outside of the Mondstadt city gates. A beaming smile on the little girl's face and reaching down towards something that he is unable to make out at first, due to your backs blocking his vision. As soon as he steps closer he identifies what you are kneeling next to. A little geo slime is nuzzling into your lap while Klee pats its head.

"Mr. Albedo!!", Klee cheers. "Look what we found. Klee made a slime friend!" "Ah, that is wonderful, Klee!", he smiles in her direction. "So that's the project you were working on the past weeks I assume?", he inquires directed at you. "Bingo. Turns out my slime-tamer elixir is a success. With this, we might be able to domesticate them. As you can see, this little guy over here turned from a little feral blob into a snuggly little pet.", you explain. He eyes the slime with curiosity. This is certainly a most amazing find. As expected of you. He never had any doubt you wouldn't succeed with anything you had set your mind on. "Fascinating. You've got to show me your notes on this-" "Mr. Albedo! Can we keep it? Please, please, please!", Klee interrupts and excitedly jumps up and down clutching onto the Alchemist's coat. "I don't see any reason why we shouldn't." "Yaaay!"

Watching you and Klee play with the slime and seeing your proud smile makes his heart swell in his chest. You are truly the most gifted person he has ever met.

"Baobei, can you come over for a sec? I need your help with something."

What would be an entirely normal direct message on his phone in the eyes of anyone else, was exactly the opposite to him.

Why did you call him a term of endearment in his native language out of the blue? Who even taught it to you? And did you even know what it means?

He could feel his face heat up uncontrollably and he immediately locked his phone again, looking around in panic to see if anyone was looking at him right now. He wished to avoid anyone seeing his reddened cheeks at any cost.

Mr. Yang was currently reading through some magazines and Himeko was currently somewhere else on the train, as was March. Lucky.

He quickly got up and headed for your room, halting in front of your door and trying to recollect himself before daring to knock on it.

He was leading possible conversations with you inside of his head to be prepared for as many possible outcomes as he could think of, which in turn made him more and more nervous.

Were you going to ask him out? Did you return his feelings? Are you planning to confess? Did you just mean to tease him and he was overthinking it?

He was most likely overthinking it. Sure, he had a crush on you but there was no way you would be able to know. He made sure you wouldn't find out under any circumstance. He believed March had her suspicions about it since she kept hinting at things, but he made sure to seem as indifferent about you as he possibly could every time.

Little did neither he nor you know that March knew everything and was trying to play the wing-woman for you two; The two idiots being obviously in love but at the same time too dumb to confess to each other.

By now his palms were sweaty and his heart was racing at light speed in his chest and he hadn't even knocked on the door yet. At the same time, he had no idea for how long he had been standing there, just staring at your door, but if someone would spot him hesitating like that, while also being beet red in the face, they could put two and two together.

In hindsight, it probably would've been smarter to just knock instantly without overthinking and getting this over with. Especially since his cheeks had grown even redder while he had done so.

As soon as he heard the door to the wagon he was in being opened he snapped out of his trance and finally knocked. Mostly just because he feared it would be Himeko or March. He wouldn't hear the end of their teasing if they spotted him in front of your room this flustered. Upon hearing your voice call him in he slipped right in as fast as he could without seeming suspicious.

"Hi! There you are finally!" You cheered, running over to him with a tablet in hand.

You were trying to show him something and ask him some questions, but he was too distracted to listen properly. What didn't help was that he felt like he was burning up from the inside with all the blood that was rushing to his cheeks. Admittedly, standing next to you after you called him baobei in your DM earlier, he even started to feel a little lightheaded.

"Hey, Dan Heng?" You looked at him visibly concerned with furrowed brows. "Are you not feeling well? Your face is all red and you look a bit out of it?"

"W-wha? Hmm? No, I'm alri-"

He was, in fact, not alright in the slightest. Especially not when he was cut off when you brushed his hair out of his forehead to feel his temperature. The skin-on-skin contact made everything even worse. For someone who was so put together usually, he currently was everything but.

"Good lord. You're burning up! Come here, lie down on my bed for a second."

He could absolutely not do that. He needed to leave. Fast.

"No, I'll just go lie down in my room instead. Just message me if you need anything from the archives."

"Okay," you nodded happily. "See ya later, baobei."

He winced at the mention of the word directly in person. You too didn't miss it and furrowed your brows in concern once more.

"Uh, did I say something wrong?" You asked, seemingly catching onto the fact that the word you kept saying to him could possibly be the reason for his strange behavior.

"D-do you know what that word means?"

"What? Baobei?"

He winced again before nodding and averting his gaze.

"Well... March said it means something along the lines of 'Bestie', I heard it when we were on the Luofu and thought it sounded cute."

So she was responsible for this. March, you would have some explaining to do.

Hear me out because yes I believe Xiao should have a stubborn s/o because I find it hilarious but imagine him with someone clumsy. Like the clumsy where you dont even notice some injuries.

Zhongli with a clumsy s/o would just be adorable because like he would place his hand on corners so they wont get hurt, keep his arm around them cause he know they'll trip. His so subtle about it too but to everyone outside the relationship can see how he makes sure they don't get hurt.

Or the best of both worlds? Stubborn and clumsy! The poor man would get so worried. I took the liberty and typed out some headcanons for this idea!

"I'll catch you when you fall!" Xiao, Zhongli, Ayato, Tighnari, Kaeya x Clumsy! Reader (gn!) [Fluff] → Masterlist || → Taglist

→ Xiao would be so worried about you all the time. Every time he sees you trying to dust off the shelf, standing on a chair to reach the upper shelf he immediately tenses up and offers you to do it instead. With his anemo vision it's easier to dust off anyway, right? It wouldn't be the first time you fell off the chair, so can't risk anything.

No matter how often you tell him it's nothing, that you're just clumsy, and that he doesn't have to worry, he'll not listen. How can you just not notice or care when you hurt yourself?

He even developed a sense for whenever you get hurt at this point. Doesn't matter if he is there to see it or not. He'd materialize next to you in an instant!

"You need to be more careful! I don't like it when I see you get hurt..."

→ Zhongli is much more subtle when it comes to worrying about you. The corner of the cabinet you keep running into? He makes sure to move the cabinet ever so slightly so you won't bump your hip into it anymore when you cut the corner like you always do. He places his palm over the edges when he is close to you and sees you heading towards one.

He'd take you by your hand when the terrain becomes uneven because he knows you're prone to stumble a lot.

Should you happen to get a bruise nonetheless he'd place featherlight kisses on them to take away the pain.

"Darling, you need to be more careful. Otherwise, I might have to carry you everywhere soon to make sure you don't hurt yourself."

→ Ayato unfortunately doesn't get to be around you all day due to his duties as a commissioner; but he notices whenever you have a new scratch or bruise. His heart grows heavy because he hates how they stand out against your satin-like skin.

He makes sure to have the best ointment mixed from the best apothecary in Inazuma so your bruises fade quicker and stop hurting. He makes sure to softly rub it onto your bruises in the evening and if he's feeling like it you maybe even get a back massage on top of it.

Maybe he tells Thoma to have an eye on you throughout the day so he could inform him where you keep hurting yourself in the Estate. He makes sure to replace the furniture that is hazardous to you.

"Love, you got a new bruise there. I know you love me but you don't need to fall for me every day again. Haha, don't look at me like that. Let me take care of it."

→ Tighnari would sigh when he sees you stumble over the root just outside of your hut for the umpteenth time. It's genuinely fascinating how often a single person could fall over the same thing so often. At least you stopped actually falling and just stumbled over it now. That was an improvement.

He looks at you disappointed and stems his hands on his hips whenever he sees you with a new bruise. How can you not even notice them anymore?

Eventually he removes the root, because he hates it when you hurt yourself. Now he only needs to make sure you don't stumble and fall as much when you're out on patrol. This would be a challenge - but he could always catch you in his arms, right?

"The evil root has been banished. No more falling now! Otherwise, I'll have to start walking behind you every waking hour!"

→ Kaeya can't help but laugh a little whenever he sees you stumble over the carpet again. Your expression is just too hilarious though. When you stare at him in annoyance he walks over to you and embraces you in a warm hug, kissing the crown of your head. And while you secretly enjoy his reactions to your clumsiness and he thinks you're cute, he'd prefer if you would stop getting bruised.

If you happen to fall and have an exceptionally nasty bruise he places his hands on it and cools the area with his cryo vision to alleviate the pain. He is literally your walking ice pack. Practical. Even if you didn't even notice the bruise or it doesn't hurt, you let him cool it nonetheless.

→ Xiao would desperately try to get you to rest while you insist to simply keep working. As an adeptus he always has a hard time evaluating how "sick" sick is.

"I'm fine, my nose is just a little blocked, honey. I can handle it!"

He would watch over you the entire day as you blow your nose, cough and sneeze around like a mad person. He'd bring you herbs that could help alleviate the symptoms and would bring you tea and fresh handkerchiefs. He basically circles around you like a hawk, scared that your symptoms might worsen while making sure you have everything you needed.

As soon as he can feel your temperature rising though, prepare to be snatched up bridal style and carried to your bed. And don't even think about getting out of bed again until your feel better.

→ Zhongli would be a bit calmer about you getting sick. Although he doesn't understand why you keep insisting that you're not sick when you're barely able to sleep at night with your coughing fits and the runny nose.

"Do I need anything? Why would I need anything?"

During that time he trusts your assessment that you're still fit enough to go about your day normally but he'd make sure you take enough breaks and are hydrated enough. Prepare to be pampered a bit though. Because even though you wouldn't admit you're sick he'd be extra attentive during that time. Preparing fresh cups of tea throughout the day, giving you spontaneous back massages, or running you a hot bath with medicinal herbs that helped to alleviate the symptoms and unblocked your nose.

→ Alhaitham chooses to ignore it at first. He knows that you're determined and wouldn't let yourself be stopped by a measly cold; because neither would he. No matter how often you'd tell him to take a break when he is sick he wouldn't listen to you either. He's also learned by now that arguing with you is a waste of breath.

It isn't until you sneeze into one of his prized books that he personally carries you to bed and tucks you in.

"I didn't sneeze because I'm sick, the book was just dusty and it got in my nose. Let me down!"

He wouldn't hear any of it. You are going to rest, even if he has to sit next to your bed to make sure you do. The moment you inevitably fall asleep, he'd get some herbs and would imbue them with Dendro so they would take effect faster.

→ Tighnari would insist on telling you that you're sick every chance he gets. Eventually you would listen to him, right? Although your stubbornness knows no bounds and is a force he didn't reckon with.

"Let me help Collei with the Ranger duties. I'm fine. Don't act like I'm dying, my nose is just a bit runny. Must be allergies or something,"

Even when you sit in front of your hut with your head in your hands and burning cheeks due to a fever, you would still insist that you were fine. Last resort? Bribing you. He said he wouldn't allow you to pet his ears or cuddle into his tail anymore until you get to bed and rest. He is sure he has never seen you head inside this fast.

Might turn this into fleshed-out ficlets at some point. I really like the concept, hihi ~

I'm finally getting to this ask, sorry for taking so long. It's been a busy week and I didn't want to half-ass this reply. 😭

The guys who would fit the bill here in my opinion, would be:

Alhaitham is the guy who mostly protects you in secret. Whenever he sees you're struggling with something, he'd try his utmost to help you resolve it behind the scenes. He loves it when you come home with a big smile, telling him that you finally managed to do the thing you were struggling with.

Another benefit of being with him was that whenever both of you were out together, everyone made sure to stay clear of you, or well, him rather. They don't even dare to look at you the wrong way.

And whenever someone is trying to get in your way, no matter what it may be, you can count on him to talk to the person in question. And while he generally hates his position as the Grand Sage and because he knows he generally is intimidating to most people (not that he really cares) he gladly makes use of those two traits for your sake. You're too innocent and nice for your own good. One could say, to a fault. But you're the most precious thing and wants to protect you from all evils this world had to offer.

Xiao immediately knows the moment you two get together that you're an innocent person with not a single bad thought on their mind. You wear your heart on your sleeve and he genuinely appreciates that. Although he feels like it may get you hurt either emotionally or physically due to that one day. And he genuinely feared for that.

You're not particularly good in a fight, not that you ever needed to either. But it constantly has Xiao worried. Especially since you're with him now and he is almost certain he attracts evil. In fact, he believes he is evil. And that he doesn't deserve you, this pure and innocent being, one bit.

But despite that, he protects you where he can. When you're out alone he always has a watchful eye on you. Almost getting ambushed by treasure hoarders? They'll be dealt with before you even knew they were there.

Diluc has lost so much already, it has turned him into someone who is always cautious and protective. Especially of his loved ones. And you're vulnerable and entirely oblivious to the evils of this world - and he'd like to keep it this way. He doesn't want you to endure the same things he had to go through already.

Ever since getting together, he makes sure to be home on time. His contacts always keep him informed about the doings of the Fatui since he knows they have him on their radar. He'd hate it if you became their target simply for being with him.

What also helps is that Diluc is generally very respected throughout Mondstadt so out of the citizens no one would dare to mess with you anymore. That's at least one thing he didn't have to worry about.

Ayato loves his family and loved ones dearly, it's no secret. He'd drop everything for them the minute it is required of him. He'd go to sheer unimaginable lengths. And you, as his partner, are no exception to that rule.

He cherishes how open, outgoing, and generally lovable you are. The people of Inazuma would agree. They love you. But with love also comes jealousy and mischief of political enemies and other folks. Lucky for you, he has the required foresight to interfere with anything his political enemies might be plotting before they're able to execute their plans.

He knows them long before anything can happen to you, thanks to his informants and the Shuumatsuban. He knows a lot of people are against his marriage with you and would rather see him wed to their children instead of some commoner like you, but they don't see what he sees. And he will do everything in his ability to protect you from any evils of this world.

Al Haitam who wakes up in the middle of the night to find Kaveh and yn baking cookies.

Yn is spared because his big fat crush, kaveh gets lectured.

Ohhh my gosh imagine... (this also got longer than I thought but I could stop myself from brainrotting soooo enjoy <3). And as a preface to this drabble: Flustered Alhaitham is my favorite genre fr.

"Cookies"

Alhaitham is woken up by some banging and drilling sounds coming from the kitchen. Naturally, his mind wanders to Kaveh first thing. Because who else would be insane enough to cause such a ruckus at 3 am in the morning?

At first, Alhaitham pulls his pillow over his head in order to try and muffle the annoying sounds. He definitely doesn't want to sleep with his noise-canceling headphones again since he is unable to sleep on the side with them.

Eventually, he finds it too uncomfortable to press his pillow to his head and decides to get up to give Kaveh the scolding of a lifetime.

He practically tramples to the kitchen, not even putting in the effort to put a shirt on before, because of how furious he is and how much he wants the noise to stop.

"Kaveh! Have you ever considered that some people are trying to get an adequate amount of undisturbed sleep?" Alhaitham starts shouting as he walks along the hallway and turns right to enter the kitchen with balled fists and eyebrows furrowed in anger.

"You're unbelievable. What are you even-" he continues his tirade before being interrupted by someone running into him and effectively shutting him up immediately. And it was none other than you. With flour on your cheek and those innocent-looking eyes, he could fall for again and again.

"Cookies. We're baking cookies... Oh, I'm sorry, did we wake you up?" you ask innocently. Alhaitham doesn't want to say it but seeing you makes his anger dissolve into thin air. You could wake him anytime and he'd be content. Kaveh on the other hand...?

"Yes, but it's okay," he reassures you before addressing Kaveh directly. "And you; stop enabling everyone in this goddamn house to join in on your stupid ideas! Do you understand? It's 3 a.m., go to bed, for Archon's sake!"

"Wha- it wasn't even my idea!" Kaveh exclaims exasperated.

"It was actually my idea." You admit with a shrug and an awkward smile, patting Alhaitham's bare shoulder a couple of times, effectively frying his synapses. Because it wasn't until now that he realizes he is standing in front of you with his upper body entirely exposed the entire time.

Alhaitham can feel a blush beginning to bloom on his cheeks before he quickly turns around to stomp back to his room, the feeling of the touch of your hand still lingering on his exposed skin.

The last thing Alhaitham hears, before closing his door behind him once more with a loudly beating heart and a flushed face, is Kaveh's snicker and a "Quite fascinating behavior there, Acting Grand Sage."

A/N: I know this has been sitting in my ask box since September but I meant to write something for it for so long already and now I finally had time to do so. I hope you still get to see and read this. I always feel guilty for keeping some requests in my inbox for so long 😣

“Did you already hear that the young Ragnvindr is going to be wed our Donna soon? That must mean he and his current fling must’ve broken up.”

“Oh, pray tell?”

You froze in place as you heard the gossip of some oblivious bypassers. You were just standing in front of Good Hunter, buying some groceries as you heard a sentence that made your heart throb while simultaneously causing your thoughts to race a thousand miles per hour. You almost dropped the bag with groceries you were holding because of the sheer wave of panic and shock those words had inflicted upon you.

“... hey, is everything alright?”, Sara asked worriedly.

“Sorry. What did you say?”, you shook your head in order to get back to the here and now. Surely this was just one of those weird rumors without any substance again. Diluc would’ve told you if it was true, right?

“You suddenly stopped talking mid-sentence and looked like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“Ah, pardon me. I thought I heard something.”

You continued putting the remaining groceries in your bag in silence. You were so startled you even forgot what you and Sara even had been talking about prior to this incident. You paused as you considered asking Sara about the rumor and whether she has heard about it, too.

“Say, did you happen to hear about the marriage of Donna and Diluc, too?”, you hesitantly inquired after giving it some thought.

“Oh, that one. Yeah, of course. Everyone’s already been waiting forever for it to happen. After all, you don’t get to see someone marry the richest person in the entirety of Mondstadt every day. It’s pretty exciting if you ask me. Don’t you think?”

“Yes, very… exciting.”

You gulped loudly as you hurried off to the Angel’s Share where you hoped to find Diluc to confront him directly if what you just heard bore any truth. And you prayed to Celestia it doesn’t.

Not only would it mean he kept it from you the entire time and essentially lied to you, but also that he just used you. But it was just a stupid rumor, right? It had to be.

You basically barged into the Angel’s Share with panic evident on your face. It wasn’t open for business yet seeing as it was still pretty early in the day, so the only one present inside was the one you were looking for. Diluc was just carrying some things into the store room when you arrived and he immediately dropped everything to rush over to you.

“Love? Are you alright?”, he attempted to take your hand but you yanked it away. The expression on his face shifted to one of great concern.

“Don’t touch me!”, you yelled. “Stop pretending and playing me for a fool!”

Hot tears welled up in your eyes and flowed down your cheeks. You had tried to hold them back but it proved to be impossible. Even more so when you didn’t know where to put all these emotions in your heart. Anger and sadness mixed with the unsurmountable love you felt for the man before you who had also betrayed your trust.

“I don’t quite follow.”, he said, shook his head, and furrowed his eyebrows.

“Bullshit.”, you hissed. “How long do you intend to play with my heart? Just stop I know the truth…”

“What do you mean?”

“What I mean is you being engaged to Donna!”, you said with your voice barely above a whisper. Your throat felt constricted from all the things you wanted to scream out but couldn't. “What even am I to you, Diluc?”

He rubbed his hands over his eyes and let out a long sigh. You noticed that they too had become red and puffy. You had completely missed that he had started crying too and you didn’t know how to react or interpret it. Did he want to be pitied, was he just frustrated that he got caught, or was it something else?

“It is not what it sounds like.”, he breathed out as his eyes continued to fill with tears. But you were done, you didn't want to hear any excuses that he would probably just make up as well. You turned around and headed for the door as you felt him holding onto your arm to keep you from leaving.

“Please - please listen to me.”, he begged and you could feel his grip tighten on your arm in desperation.

“I’ll give you two minutes.”, you stated coldly.

You walked over to the bar and sat down on one of the stools, looking at him expectantly. And he better had a damn good excuse or this will be the last time he’d ever get to see you.

He exhaled shakily before facing you and taking both your hands in his.

“What you heard was once true… however, it is no longer. I never loved Donna, nor will I ever. You’re the only one I love and you’re the one I want to marry. I’m sorry you had to find all of this out the way you did, I should’ve told you about it way earlier. But I didn’t think it would ever resurface. My father was the one who arranged the marriage but after his passing, it sunk into oblivion and I thought it would stay there for good because I never wanted to marry someone I don't love.”

You were still shaken up but you were watching his expression carefully as he spoke and your gut was telling you that he was speaking the truth.

“Recently... Donna came up to me again and wanted me to fulfill that arrangement which I politely declined and told her I wouldn't want to marry anyone but you. She left in an angered state but I didn’t think she would go as far as to start spreading rumors. She must've intended to put me under the pressure of the public eye or cause you to leave me.”, he continued to explain with frustration in his voice.

He deeply sighed once more and reassuringly squeezed your hands a little tighter. He looked deep into your eyes and a soft smile seeped through his pained expression before he spoke again.

“So, I beg you to believe me when I say there is no other person I love. There is only room for you in my heart and there only ever will be. I don’t know what I would do if you left me. You complete me like no other.”

He wiped the tears out of his eyes with the back of his hand before looking at you once more with a heartbroken expression looking back at your equally shattered expression. So you both stood there crying, unsure whether it was out of relief or aftershocks of the initial fight had.

“You idiot.”, you sniffled through your tears as you nudged his shoulder with your fist and made an effort to throw him a playful smile. “You should’ve just told me!”

“Yes, I know… I'm so sorry.”

You got up from the stool and embraced him in a mind-numbingly tight hug while nuzzling your face into his chest and soaking in his scent. He was quick to return your embrace with a sigh of relief. He patted down your back and kissed the crown of your head softly. You felt like ten stones were lifted off your chest at once and you were finally able to breathe again.

“I love you so much, it almost kills me.”

“I love you too, Diluc. More than words can say.”

A/N: Wooo! I finally finished your request and I hope you like how this turned out! I'm sorry it took so long ;_;

You had stuck in his mind since you opened the new flower shop in Monstadt right on the other side of the Angel’s Share. He intentionally left the door to the Tavern open every morning so he could watch how you set up your shop while he worked behind the bar.

The way you arranged various bouquets, cared for your flowers with utmost care and talked to your customers was a heartwarming sight to him. The more time passed the more he found himself thinking about you, but he didn’t quite know how to approach you.

“You seem rather distracted recently Master Diluc.” Charles remarked with a knowing smirk and pulled him out of his thoughts. “The owner of the new flower shop seems to have caught your attention, no?”

“No.”

“I’ve been young too once, you know. I can see what you think in your eyes. You should talk to them, lost opportunities are only those you never take.”

And maybe he was right.

The next morning when you set up shop again he gathered all his courage and approached you.

“Good morning.” He greeted you.

“Oh, good morning! I didn’t expect to see you here. You’re Master Diluc right? I’ve heard a lot about you already around town, well and of course my shop is right in front of your Tavern so I guess that makes sense… by the Archons, I’m talking too much you probably came here to buy something right?”

“Actually I–”

“Master Diluc!” It took all his strength to not roll his eyes at the voice that had just called his name. “Who are you buying flowers for? Me perhaps?” Donna asked with doe-eyes. He knew she had a crush on him for a long time already and how he wished she wouldn’t. Was it mean of him to think this way? Maybe. But she was just way too clingy even though he had made it clear a while ago already that he wasn’t interested. And the worst part? He now couldn’t engage in a proper conversation with you anymore because she was here.

“Actually I came here to welcome you to Mondstadt and I hope your shop prospers. I hope to see you more often now, I mean we’re basically neighbors now after all.”

“Thank you.”

A few days more passed before he decided to try to talk to you again. You already saw him walking to your shop and donned a smile so beautiful it made his heart skip a beat.

“Welcome, Master Diluc!”

“Hello there!” He scanned your inventory for a brief moment in hesitation before gathering enough courage to ask you what he had come here for. “May I ask what your favorite flower is?”

“Oh. Out of my range? Hmmm, let me see…” You walked up to him and stood beside him before pointing to the sunflowers being completely oblivious to how nervous he was behaving all of a sudden. “Personally, my favorite are sunflowers. But I’ve grown fond of Windwheel Aster recently as well, both together make for a beautiful bouquet… Are you looking for a gift for your girlfriend?”

“My girlfriend?”

“Donna. She is your girlfriend, is she not?”

“Oh, gods - no, definitely not. Just mere acquaintances if anything.”

“Oh… I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to pry!” You awkwardly chuckled and cleared your throat. Diluc intently focused on the flowers you just pointed at in order to avoid looking directly into your eyes because he could feel a blush rising to his face. He desperately prayed you wouldn’t think he had any interest in Donna.

“No, no. You didn’t. It’s fine, don’t worry.” He lightly smiled, pointing to the flowers. “Would you mind selling me a bouquet of the flowers you just mentioned?”

“Of course not. I’ll get it done right away.” He watched you hurry around the shop, grabbing your utensils, tying the flowers together with admirable finesse and concentration before wrapping them in a light blue silk paper that matched the colors of the bouquet perfectly. Truly breathtaking, he thought to himself. You threw him a glance every now and then while you were working, gifting him a small smile that made his heart clench in his chest. You were truly beautiful, yet you still seemed a little hesitant when interacting with him. Was it professionality or did you simply not care about him, did he maybe annoy you and you just tried to stay polite?  It surely was a new experience for him - usually people knew his name before he even had to introduce himself, there were many people that looked up to him and his status in Mondstadt and even beyond its borders due to his business.

He never really liked getting that much attention and as the years went on, especially since the passing of his father and overtaking the business, he unwillingly got more and more of it. However, now that he for once craved the attention of someone, probably for the first time in his life, that person didn’t particularly seem to care about him at all - he wasn’t used to that. Archons, he was probably overthinking things, you merely even knew him, how else were you supposed to react? But he didn’t intend to give up, he needed to jump over his own shadow if he wanted to get to know you. Lost opportunities are only those you never take, Charles words still rung in the back of his head.

“Excuse me for asking, but–” He started, nervously looked down and started readjusting his gloves in order to keep you from seeing the blush that was creeping up on his cheeks. “Why don’t you come over to the Angel’s Share once you’ve closed up shop today?”

You attached the last ribbon to the bouquet before walking back and handing it to him, pondering on his offer.

“Uhm, yeah. Why not - sure! Is there any celebration today that I don’t know of?”

“No, it’s just – I thought it would be nice if you came over, maybe we could get to know each other?” He gave you a soft smile that you returned before nodding.

“Sure, see you later then I suppose!”

The rest of your work dragged on forever after the encounter with Diluc and you couldn’t help but wonder why he would want to meet up with you and get to know you? He could snap with his fingers and basically everyone in the city would be willing to kneel before him. 

When you closed up shop for the day you could feel how the nervousness slowly started to creep into every fiber of your body. There had to be something up, there was no way he would just want you to come over for a chat. You of all people. What would someone like Diluc want from you?

You walked over to the Angel’s Share and opened the door. Behind the bar you immediately found the man in question. He was wearing a white shirt and an black apron on top of it. He had his hair tied in a high ponytail and flashed you a smile when he saw you come in. He was wearing work clothes but still made you feel severely underdressed. How did he manage to look so good no matter whatever he does?

“Good evening!”

“Hi.” You shyly replied, nervously fiddling around with the hem of your jacket, suddenly feeling super self-conscious under his gaze. He came over to you and helped you out of your jacket.

“Do you have a favorite drink?”

“Nothing in particular. Apple Cider if you have any, maybe”

“Of course I do. Coming right up.”

You sat down at a table and noticed that the bar was empty except for the two of you. After all, it was still fairly early in the evening and usual customers probably wouldn’t turn up till in a few hours from now. 

Diluc came back with your drink but also a small gift box with a blue ribbon around it. What exactly was he up to?

“Here you go!” He said as he put the drink down in front of you. “But that’s not everything. Here… I also got this.” 

As you opened the box that he handed you, you found a beautiful necklace made of gold with a sunflower pendant on it. The flower petals were made of yellow rhinestones and shimmered like diamonds even in the dimly lit atmosphere of the tavern. It looked incredibly valuable.

“Is– is this for me?” You asked in disbelief.

“Well... yeah. Why do you think I asked for your favorite flower?” He chuckled.

“But… why?”

“I told you... I like you. And I want to get to know you better if you’ll allow me, that is.” He scratched the back of his head and looked down on the table with a shy expression while his face grew almost even redder than his hair. And how could you ever deny him?

"I'd be delighted to."

It might be a little complicated but please don't feel like you have to strictly stay in what I've said, you're free to change and add some details!

Can I request a angst fic / one-shot/ drabble/ headcanon or whatever you want;

Reader was childhood friends with diluc and kaeya, she/they(it doesn'tmatter, you can use whichever you want) eventually fell in love with diluc but he is in love with someone else (maybe jean, or someone else who you ship diluc with). Reader doesn't tell him she loves him because he is happy with that person, meanwhile kaeya is in love with reader, but doesn't tell her because he knows she loves his brother?

And maybe reader moves on from diluc and kaeya and reader become closer and maybe end up together?

I hope it isn't too long and if it is, you don't have to write the last part

I loved this prompt, I love writing angst and this was so fun to write! I didn't go with Jean and Diluc but instead a nameless partner for him because that leaves room for imagination for the Reader. I also didn't write the last part because I couldn't fit it into a one shot anymore, aaah I'm sorry, I hope it's okay >.<

Pairings: Diluc x Reader (unreciprocrated feelings); Kaeya x Reader

Warnings: Angst, mentions of alcohol, unreciprocated feelings, comfort at the end if you squint, no gendered pronouns used for Reader

You knew Diluc since you were a child and you basically grew up with him and Kaeya at the Winery, thanks to your mom working there as a maid. During that time, the Winery could basically be considered your second home because of how often you tagged along with your mum. At first because you liked to play with the boys and stir up all sorts of trouble around the vineyard but the older you became the more it was because of your ever growing crush on Diluc. 

You had always dreamt about the day he would confess his feelings for you and how he would smile at you, with a lovestruck expression on his face. Telling you he reciprocated your feelings, except – that never happened and would never happen either. His heart was already occupied by someone else, a beautiful and gentle woman from Mondstadt, perfect in every meaning of the word. He loved her and everyone else did as well, they were the most popular couple in the entire town and everyone turned their head at them in awe whenever they were around.

You were happy for him, you truly were - he definitely deserved it after all the dark times he’s had to face in his life already, but at the same time it broke your heart into a thousand pieces whenever you had to see them together. So ever since they’ve been together, you’ve tried to avoid Diluc to the best of your abilities, for your own sake. You hoped your feelings for him would eventually fade if you did so but instead they grew even stronger. The way he smiled at her, the way they laughed together and the way he walked around with her hand in hand – you couldn’t help but feel envious every single time. This could be you if you would’ve opened your mouth when you still had the chance, you thought to yourself more often than you’d like to admit.

And tonight was well on the way to turn out to be one of those heart-shattering days again. Today was the start of the Windblume festival and the whole city was in high spirits. The evening had actually started great, you were standing with Kaeya and a few other Knights at the square and were having some drinks, the spirits were high and some were already a little tipsy, all was good – at least until a familiar couple joined the festivities.

You could tell who had arrived before you even turned around to look, the air was filled with excited giggles and gasps, even the group you were standing with had fallen quiet and were looking in their direction. When you glanced around you saw Diluc standing there with her, his arm linked with her and chatting with some local. He occasionally looked at her affectionately and his eyes started to shine. You again couldn’t help but imagine him looking at you this way, if only you’d have told him about your feelings.

You felt a lump form in your throat and your heart shatter into a million pieces again. How many heartbreaks could one possibly survive? 

You hated her, you hated the way he looked at her, you hated the way she made him smile but what you hated the most was how much you loved him even though he doesn’t and would never love you back. You knew it and you still couldn’t stop your heart from shattering every single time you saw them together.

Diluc looked around and suddenly his eyes met yours and you had the impression that his eyes became a little more dull the moment they did. The corner of his mouth twitched up a little and he lifted his free hand to gesture a casual greeting to you. You nodded in his direction and swallowed thickly, struggling to hold the tears back that you were dangerously close to shedding. You were such a fool. He didn't care one bit about you.

You looked to the ground and quickly excused yourself from the group you were standing with and rushed outside of the city walls. You needed to get away from here quickly and maybe also find some alcohol along the way that you could numb the pain with.

Kaeya had immediately noticed that something was amiss, in fact, he knew precisely what was up. He had known for the longest time that you had feelings for his brother and he knew how you felt when you saw Diluc and his partner. Because all those years, that was exactly how he had felt whenever he saw you look at Diluc with so much admiration in your eyes. He had always wished you’d look at him the same way for he would pick the stars out of the night sky if only you’d ask him to do so. He had held his feelings back all those years, similarly to what you had done with your feelings towards Diluc, because he knew he wouldn’t have had a chance when your heart already belonged to someone else. All he could do was be there for you when you were feeling down because, god knows, he knew what it felt like to have no shoulder to lean on.

He felt his heart throb when he heard your voice as you excused yourself from the group - coarse, as if you were about to cry and he knew you were about to. He decided to follow you and found you in front of the city gates, huddled up against a tree in the grass with a bottle of wine, crying silently and cussing at yourself. It shattered his heart to see you like this and he wanted nothing more than to make you feel better, but he knew he couldn’t because the only thing that would fix your broken heart was Diluc, and he couldn’t give you that.

“Hey!” He approached you and spoke in a soft tone, a compassionate smile on his face. “Tough evening?”

You nodded and quickly wiped the tears out of your eyes with the back of your hand. You forced a smile and looked up at him but your shaking bottom lip betrayed you and revealed how you really felt.

Kaeya sat down next to you and grabbed the bottle out of your hand and took a sip out of it.

“Oof, that’s strong. Are you sure you can handle that?” He teased and nudged your side with his elbow to which you gave him a small snicker. He noticed you had stopped crying at least, even though you still wore a sad expression on your face.

“Kaeya?”

“Hm?”

“Do you think I will ever find someone who loves me, too?” You leaned your head against his shoulder and tilted your head up to look at his face.

He huffed in response and paused for a brief moment, plucking some blades of grass out of the ground beneath him before tossing them away. He donned an honest smile, turned back to you and put one of his arms around your shoulders lovingly.

“There already is someone who loves you. I’m sure of that.”
