The Lost Boys Musical Idea (Screenplay/Sneak Peek~!)

Here's a little sneak peek of the unofficial TLB Musical idea I'm working on! I just got the first scene of the movie done, and I hope it's good! But let me know what yall think and what might need to be edited or added! I'd love to hear your thoughts :] Enjoy~!!🩸🩸

The scene starts of with a narrator that’s off stage, speaking about Santa Carla and how it seems like a normal place, maybe a few places you wouldn’t want to be caught dead in or wander around alone, but with it’s infamous boardwalk, it does get a few tourists. But as he continues, he speaks of the dangers and that this town has a dark side behind the twinkling lights. As he continues to speak, and his voice grows more mysterious and malicious, we slowly begin to hear the chorus of ‘Cry little Sister’ play, sort of like the opening of the Lost Boys movie, a choir chanting ‘Thou Shall not fall, thou shall not die, thou shall not fear, thou shall not kill.'

(NEW SCENE)

While the choir sings, a set of the carnival ride would be setting up, and a few more things to give off the boardwalk opening. We’d start with a few folks talking and chatting, the main focus on a couple having indistinct chatter- but cutting through the silence would be laughter and shouting- The one and only LOST BOYS making their way onto the scene, stopping at a few crowds, and causing a little chaos as they push between the couple, making them stumble as the four unknown Vampires. The couple make some complain about the four always causing trouble for everyone on the boardwalk - probably making more complains that they don’t know that the Boys overhear.

MARKO or PAUL would say something about lighting up as DAVID would make some comment to The Boys about the people around here, not understanding that when the sun goes down, the town is theirs. That’s when the first song would begin (which is an official song by G Tom Mac, which you can find here on Spotify!) Sleep All Day, Party All Night.

As DAVID would sing (plus the other Boys singing backup) they’d go around the set dancing and singing whilst doing things to tease or bother the other tourists and passerby’s, before they finally go to the Merry-Go-Round, flirting with a girl who’s already taken as they continue to sing- causing a little comedy chase as the boyfriend stands up and tries to throw a punch at DAVID- who dodges before quickly running around the Merry-Go-Round set piece with the other Boys Tailing behind as the boyfriend chases them. They continue running in circles as the song would finish, swiftly being cut off as the Policeman steps in and stops DAVID with his baton around his neck.

He tells them the whole ‘I told you to stay off the board walk’ yadda yadda, and releases DAVID, who is anything but pleased. But they oblige, walking away as the three other Lost Boys grumble and groan in complaint, until DAVID turns back to look at the scene. He sings a small thirty second reprise of Sleep All Day, Party All Night’ at least to the same tune, slower and more sinister as he says something about this town not being able to see what’s coming to them. He then smiles evilly and fully exits the scene; the stage goes dark.

No one gets it, but I loving having that one song that physically takes your breath away. You hear the first note and your just in a state of bliss, deep intake of breath as you wait for the lyrics to start, a song that not only you enjoy but makes you physically happy to jsut listen to it you stim and smile and it’s hard to breath while listening to the song, no matter how long it’s been playing

My song, doesn’t matter if it’s a cover or the original I’ve loved thousands of songs but I’ve never had a FAVORITE until I fell in love with this one I’m obsessed with all of blondie’s discography, but this one just triumphs

I feel like Vincent's transformations are painful on a whole new level- this unbearable agony of having one's body twisted and pulled into a new shape whilst unable to stop it.

It's very obvious when Vincent transforms since you can hear the popping of their joints as they dislocate and the cracking of their bones as they're broken apart under the immense internal pressure of the transformation.

Their vocal cords are raw and their voice breaks they scream in pain- bent over and having to endure their spine rearranging itself or bending to suit a larger form than their own.

Their transformations are violent and are a level of painful that no amount of words can describe.

As the new scene is set up, it’s the next day, the sun out and we see a few residents minding their own business, having quiet, indistinct chatter, as LUCY, MICHAEL, and SAM enter. LUCY looks around delighted and with a pep in her step whilst MICHAEL and SAM both exchange unsure looks.

SAM makes a few comments about not being so sure of this place, to which LUCY tries to put his edge at ease, only to have MICHAEL come in and make a comment and agree with SAM. LUCY immediately stops the two boys, beginning to say how Santa Carla isn’t all that bad, you just have to see the good in it.

She then goes into a song, having a hopeful and happy tune. Possibly about all the good things in Santa Carla, all while MICHAEL and SAM come in with a few verses about weird or creepy things they notice, (Especially the ‘Murder Capital Of The World painted on the back of the billboard, and when Michael asks for jobs and the dude comments ‘Nothing Legal’ or something like that) only to have Lucy sing about it but seeing it in a brighter light.

This continues as they may make their way around the set, while they walk around, the stage is slowly moved, and the new set of GRANDPA’S HOUSE is put up. LUCY, MICHAEL, AND SAM’S final harmony of the song quickly ends when LUCY comes to a halt at the body of GRANDPA EMERSON’S body sleeping on the front steps.

We get the whole moving in scene, GRANDPA EMERSON’S rules, and also a duet between MICHAEL and SAM, singing about the house and how it’s like they’re in some Texas Chainsaw Massacre, upset about no TV, jokingly singing how it’s like they’re in a horror movie.

Next is when we finally end up back on the boardwalk, a band begins to play a song- but as SAM notices something’s off with MICHAEL- especially with what he had told LUCY earlier about not going to school once it starts, he asks his brother what’s up.

MICHAEL would break into song- the band in the back supposedly singing back up (even though the POV is only shown to us that way, given the crowd is still listening and rocking out to the band, unaware of MICHAEL’s ballad) He sings about how he feels like he has to start life all over again, meet to people, friends, in a place he doesn’t feel welcome in. How he feels alone and almost as if his Parents whole situation is a weight he should carry.

And as his song reaches an end, he suddenly harmonizes with a voice in the crowd, causing him to pause. The voice continues to vocalize without words to his earlier tune a haunting  voice ringing out. Soon, STAR appears atop something, standing out from the crowd with LADDIE next to her. She then sings something along the lines of MICHAEL’S troubles, how she feels alone, having to start her life all over again. And of course… MICHAEL is smitten.

But the moment their eyes lock, STAR hurries away with LADDIE in tow.

MICHAEL instantly turns to his brother SAM, telling him they had to go find that girl. As they go on their little chase, a small, more lighthearted song starts. SAM continuously asks his brother questions about this girl, MICHAEL returning his answer. (Like “What were her eyes like?” “Shining like diamonds” which would get gags, complaints, or cringes from SAM. Cheesy goofy stuff like that.)
