Raspberry Swirl: How does your F/O cheer you up when you are feeling down?

See Knockout isn't really great at cheering folks up depending on the cause. If it's something internal, like mental issues or self worth, he sort of just- can't relate and figure out how to fix it. Praise makes him feel good so he tries that, but besides that he sort of flops. Expert at talking shit about people that upset Aqua though. Lol

Like if someone makes his little fleshy upset, he could easily craft the most scathing and awful comments of them.

Lemon Sorbet: Does your F/O get jealous easily?

Shockingly? No. Like, in the grand scheme, no because he's so assured in knowing he is the shit so he doesn't care. However, for more minor things, like say Aqua spending more time focusing on a game or cooing over an animal, he will be petty to get attention. It's cute. :)

Coconut Mango: What mementos do you and your F/O treasure?

Knockout's treasure is a hunk of crystal that Aqua found when he had brought them into a cave when checking for energon signals. Aqua crudely cleaned and polished it the best they could to make it presentable to the mech. He's way more appreciative of it than he lets on.

Aqua's is a bottle of seashells that Knockout managed to to track back to the ship on one of the scouting missions he was sent on. Aqua was helping him clean out all the sand and rocks after the trip and proceeded to collect a bunch of the crushed contents into a jar. He hated all that sand. -_- But Aqua got excited about it so he'll live.

(@icetypelover) Hello, as you saw the Sail Fossil I had revived turned out to be a shiny Amaura. Do you have any special care tips for him? Do you know other people I could ask as well? While I love prehistoric Pokémon I almost only have "modern" ones, the exceptions being Rex my Tyrantrum and now Spirea, so I don't know much in terms of caring for them and I'd like all the help I can get.

Due to a messy situation Rex can't be with me right now and it'll take some time to get him back, but I know that even if he won't do anything (he knows eating other Pokémon is a no especially if they're a friend), I'll have to be careful to not scare Spirea since I supposed it has stayed in his instincts to fear a Tyrantrum?

Of course! I'm not sure if any other Pokemon paleontologists or biologists would like to chime in but this is what I know from MY experience and expertise!

For certain I;d keep introduction to a Tyrantrum as gradual as possible, As you say his initial reaction will probably be fear. Fossilization has of course changed them both though, so things aren't TOO dire. With time , they should get along! If anything, Dragon types get a little nervous around Ice types!

For modern Pokemon though, prehistoric Pokemon can get pretty confused and hesitant seeing them for the first time! Individually some adjust to their new environment sooner than others, say, One with a curious temperament. This goes for eating habits too! That herbivore could struggle finding a modern alternative to the foliage he's used to. Lum berry plants have a surprisingly long lineage, Maybe try some of those?

I know it's a identity with historical context, also assuming the spilt attraction can come into play. Just wondering if you have resources or hell followers that can inform me if I'm missing something

no worries at all anon! i think it is good that you are open to learn :o) this will probably get slightly wordy...so you can just scroll down to the links if you prefer.

 i’ll start with a disclaimer that i am not an mspec lesbian myself, nor am i a lesbian or sapphic, and i do think getting info about a label from someone who uses it is more valuable. also worth noting i was born in the 2000s and don't have lived experience with queer spaces prior to that.

however, i do have some resources and knowledge because i hyperfixated pretty strongly on queer history and labels last year! 

firstly, you are totally correct that being using the split attraction model/being varioriented is a common reason for someone to identify as an mspec lesbian. - for example: “pansexual homoromantic” or “biromantic lesbian”.

the other most prevalent reason to consider is how the word “lesbian” itself, and the community surrounding it, has changed over time and not only ever had a singular, static meaning.

“lesbian” and “sapphic” are both derived from Sappho of Lesbos and were essentially synonyms until around the 70s or 80s (i think) …and even then, the community was split on if mspec women could be/were lesbians or a part of the lesbian community.

a lot of people would accredit this shift to the biphobia present in the radical lesbian feminist movement, specifically lesbian separatism (&lt;-wikipedia link). this is a specific movement within radical feminism that took off in the 70s, and related "only (with) women who cut their ties to male privilege". in layman's terms… they saw women who had Any sort of relationship with “biological males” (platonic, familial, sexual) as traitors and participants in the patriarchy. as such, they outcast bi women for sleeping with the enemy, so to speak. (this is ofc, a simplified and potentially biased interpretation based on the texts that i have read).

^ if that sounds a lot like modern-day TERFs… that's because the modern day TERF is the predecessor to the anti-”male” and anti-trans radfems of the 70s-90s.

*note that i’ve mostly used “mspec” instead of “bi” here in order to be more broad, but the explanations work either way. for those unaware, “mspec” stands for “multisexual spectrum” or “multi-attracted spectrum”. AKA bi, pan, omni, etc. AKA the “bi umbrella”. AKA attracted to more than one gender. (you may notice that, ironically, the definition of “lesbian” that people who are *against* bi lesbians accept -”attraction to nonmen”- actually falls under this)
