Finally posting something again. Sorry for my absence! Take some Oumasai domestic floof.

Description: The morning of their planned trip to Okinawa arrives! Watch them catch the train late because they were lazing about too much.
☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆
Attempts at establishing a sleeping schedule for the prankster were a fruitless endeavour. Some nights he’d tucker himself out and drop dead in his day clothes, other times he was plagued by insomnia. Despite his love for sunbathing during the day he tended to act like a night owl, the reason why Shuuichi liked to compare him to a cat.
Tonight, he had fallen asleep late and woken early. Warm rays of sunlight tickled Kokichi awake. As was common, he found himself sprawled out on top of his beloved, limbs tangled and a faint line of drool seeping from the corner of his mouth. With a small groan he wiped the spit away and blinked his eyes open, before reality brought him to his senses.
Okinawa. Today, they were going to travel to Okinawa for a small vacation. Shuuichi had playfully stolen one of his habits and insisted on having won the lottery, which was why they could afford this trip – but Kokichi figured one of his clients at the agency had shoved a ridiculously huge paycheck down his throat. Although the detective worked for a living, he usually didn’t accept extra payment. And yet, some people remained persistent.
Good. In Kokichi’s humble opinion, Shuuichi deserved the world.
“ Good mooorning, sleepyhead…~! ”
Kokichi’s singsong voice reached Shuuichi’s ears. He woke up from his face being showered in butterfly kisses. The detective muttered something intelligible under his breath. Instead of opening his eyes, he chose to bask in the welcome affection and kept dozing.
Punishment came when Kokichi kissed his neck and blew raspberries on his skin.
“ H-haaah!? K-Kokichi, don’t-! Ahaha, stop it, stop! ”
„Wakey wakey, eggs and sin! Dont’cha dare oversleep. The alarm rang twenty minutes ago!”
“ It… wait, twenty minutes!? ”, Shuuichi exclaimed and shot up, panicked. Golden eyes sought the clock on their nightstand. Once his brain had processed the numbers, he groaned and turned to hide his head under the pillows. Kokichi laughed and shook Shuuichi’s shoulder, using his whole body for oomph.
“ Oopsie! Did I forget to say that was a lie? Nishishi…shishi… c’mooon, it’s almost time. Do I gotta drag you out of bed, Tantei-san…? ”
“ Five more minutes… ”
Kokichi uttered a thoughtful hum and seemed to yield at Shuuichi’s plea. Lithe arms embraced the detective from behind and a nose nuzzled against his neck. Gentle kisses followed, ones that trailed down in entrancing lines that made warmth settle in the pit of Shuuichi’s stomach. He could easily soak like this for another hour, maybe more. The boisterous leader’s caring nature gave room for touches so gentle they were almost addicting.
He sighed happily into the pillow and let himself relax. Kokichi drew lines across his chest until he felt ready to drift back to sleep. His fingertips wandered along Shuuichi’s exposed collarbones, over the fabric of his shirt, barely avoiding the sensitive spots there and sliding down, down, down… until they reached the hem of his-
“ Ueee! ”
Electricity shot through his body like lightning and Shuuichi sat up in a flash. His glare went ignored by Kokichi who cackled over the sound of the alarm. The detective swore he was about to pop a vein when he threw the covers back and slid out of bed.
“ Aww, Shuumai! Are you just gonna ignore me? ”
Shuuichi uttered an embarrassed huff. “ D-don’t surprise me like that! We don’t have time. I’m using the bathroom, Kokichi. ” And as promised, he left the room as if in a rush.
Cute. Even after years of being together, he always managed to coax new reactions out of his beloved which he found so endearing. Kokichi smacked the alarm and got out of bed, making his way towards the kitchen. He felt much more energetic in the morning compared to his oh-so-salty dumpling, so it wasn’t uncommon for him to make tea or coffee to lure the other out of bed. Today, it was going to be the latter. They preferred tea, but with today’s endeavour it was smarter to go for strong caffeine. Especially since Kokichi was positive he wasn’t going to rest once they arrived at the hotel. He wanted to hit the beach immediately. No time to waste, he had to explore!
They got to work. Once Kokichi finished making coffee, he set two mugs on their dining table. Shuuichi joined him in the kitchen and placed a kiss on his forehead, before whipping up breakfast. The pancake batter he prepared yesterday went in the pan, he cut up fruit and made scrambled eggs. No rice and miso soup as usual, today had to be special. Kokichi used the meantime to finish packing since he had been too engrossed in a book last night. As a finishing touch, he threw in a set of playing cards so they wouldn’t get bored on the ride.
Twenty minutes later, they sat down and started eating. Kokichi tied up his hair in a makeshift ponytail and scrolled his phone while munching pancakes, one foot on the chair, one on the ground. Shuuichi sipped his coffee and went over a checklist one last time to ease his nerves and ensure they didn’t forget anything. When a strand of hair slipped into Kokichi’s face, Shuuichi brushed it behind his ear. When the detective forgot to eat, the leader wordlessly fed him fluffy eggs.
Once Shuuichi felt less tired, they started making quiet conversation. Kokichi informed him of the weather in Okinawa and that someplace was going to host movies at the beach at night.
Neither of them ate breakfast often. Shuuichi had gotten into the habit thanks to Kaito, but Kokichi was different. The tiny prankster got tired when he ate in the morning and was now blinking at him all sleepy.
“ Ew, Shuumai smells. Go take a shower, stinky. ”
Shuuichi pouted. “ My coffee... ”
Kokichi reached out to steal the mug and placed it on his side of the table, before cradling the detective’s hands.
“ Uh-huh, ‘cause you totes can’t drink it later. You’ll feel better. ”
He knew Kokichi was right. Out of habit, Shuuichi was about to reach for his mug once more, but his beloved wouldn’t have it. The leader jumped to his feet, pulled him up and pushed him towards the bathroom.
“ I’m going, I’m going! You don’t gotta shove me ”, he sounded exasperated, but Shuuichi couldn’t help chuckle softly when the other didn’t resign. “ Join me…? ”
“ Eeehhh? Shuumai wants to shower together… naked!? Pervert, pervert! I bet you wanna do something dirty! ”
At the doorframe, Shuuichi turned and caught Kokichi’s hands with a blush.
“ You’re the one who shoved his hands in my- ”
“ Right, right ”, Kokichi cut him off, “ That’s what they all say. ‘I didn’t mean to touch your hand with my dick!’ Anyway, I showered last night and I’m gonna get sweaty anyway. ”
Shuuichi squeezed his hands. The way he unconsciously batted his lashes at him with hope shining in his eyes was simply unfair.
“ Please? I want to wash your hair, Kokichi… ”
He hesitated. Kokichi pursed his lips and tried to hide the shade of pink creeping up his face. After a moment of silence, he puffed his cheeks.
“ Fiiine. I’m first! ”
“ Ah, wait-! ”
Nothing lewd happened - aside from Kokichi smacking his beloved’s butt and sticking out his tongue like a brat. Shuuichi made good on his word and they washed each other’s hair, scrubbed their backs, and pecked wet lips. When Kokichi demanded that he clean the gaps between his toes with a little more devotion, he decided to leave the shower. Kokichi laughed and shrugged it off. They got dressed in light clothes, though the leader didn’t pass on his favourite accessory.
“ Ah, Kokichi… your scarf. ”
“ Hm? ”
Diligent as ever, Shuuichi straightened the checkered fabric so it sat right around his neck. Once finished, he examined his work and gave a content nod.
“ Like this… eh? ” When their eyes met, he struggled to interpret his boyfriend’s stare. Kokichi looked up to him with curious awe, although nothing special had happened. “ What’s wrong…? ”
Small hands grabbed onto his shoulders. Kokichi got to the tip of his toes and placed a kiss on his cheek, their bodies close. His answer was akin to a purr.
“ You’re so cute when you’re focused like that… ”
Shuuichi knew he was the only one who ever heard him speak like this. Pure and unabashed in his fondness. A hushed confession, for his ears only.
He felt himself melt a little on the inside, but all that came out of his mouth was a choked wheeze. Kokichi chuckled and got back to his feet.
“ C’mon, c’mon! We gotta go for reals now. If we miss the train, I’m gonna cry. I mean it. Uwaaah, our super cheesy honeymoon, ruined! It’s all your fault, Shuu- mph! ”
Kokichi was shut up by Shuuichi shoving a hand in his face. With a flustered grimace, he decided it was time to put on his shoes. Right… he got to his knees. Once he was half-way through tying a bow, his heart leapt in his throat. He almost choked.
Honeymoon… if this were their honeymoon, then-
“ Eek! Shuumai, hurry! Five minutes, hurry! ”
Torn out of his rose-coloured fantasy, Shuuichi yelped and finished his work. It took five seconds to check for keys, purse, and suitcases, as well as making sure Kokichi hadn’t lied – which for once, to his great disappointment, wasn’t the case. They rushed out the door, the pitter-patter of their feet hasting down the street.
They made it last second. Right when they jumped through the doors into the subway, they closed shut behind them. Kokichi and Shuuichi looked at each other with equal relief. That was all it took for the prankster to break out in laughter.
Perhaps in the past he would have been embarrassed, but now Shuuichi couldn’t help but join. They were caught in momentary glee and weird looks didn’t matter. It was okay with Kokichi around.
With Kokichi around, everything was okay.
“ Nee, Shuu-chan… ”
Time passed until they boarded the train to the airport. Kokichi was sitting across from him and reached out to hold his hand. Once he had caught his attention, he drew invisible words on his palm.
Shuuichi’s eyes lit up. He shaped a silent reply with his lips for the other to read.
‘ I love you, too. ’
Kokichi hid his face in his scarf. Even if he tried to hide it, Shuuichi caught on to the heat that coloured the tip of his ears.

✦ Setting Sail ✦
Happy Birthday to my Teddy Kay! ♥ @frauleinjustice I thought you’d like some fluffy feels with the boys. Enjoy!
Shipping: Oumasai Setting: Phantom Thief/Detective AU Words: 1174 Trigger Warnings: none Posted: 07.07.20
Description: They’ve fallen for each other, but now that Shuuichi dared to get his hopes up, Kokichi sent him a letter as a goodbye message. Bewildered and confused why he’d suddenly want to leave and effectively end their rivalry, the detective chases after his favourite thief once again!
☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆
Simple words had brought him here. Rows of letters strung together in an attempt to make sense, yet he had been unable to comprehend the words written. ‘ Why would you go? ’, Shuuichi kept asking himself over and over as he read the thief’s farewell message. Something about his job being done, the boredom driving him elsewhere.
The bitterness hidden between the lines revealed them to be lies.
“ Ouma-kun! ”
Pale fingers were outstretched as he tried to catch up to him. His heart pounded hard against his ribcage and his breath came ragged, strained from his continued running in the cold. He had carelessly pushed people aside and was followed by complaints, but the hand he craved desperately to hold was so close. Just a little more‒
“ What do you think you’re doing? ”
His hand was slapped away. Kokichi had spun on his heels, luggage in one hand and a silent threat in the other. Lavender eyes met gold. The thief’s brows were knit together in frustration and his gaze was piercing, as if Shuuichi’s presence were nothing but an eyesore. He felt petrified, helpless.
“ I ask for one favour and this is what I get? Honestly, you’re nothing but a disgrace. I thought you respected me, but it seems I was wrong ”, Kokichi spat harsh words at him, each syllable dripping with annoyance. Yet, he had stopped walking.
People were staring but Shuuichi didn’t care. The salty winds coming from the sea were biting and he struggled to catch his breath.
“ You can’t go! ”, Shuuichi called out. He wanted to grab his wrist but hesitated, fearing Kokichi might slip through his fingers if he tried, losing purchase. “ We’re not finished! ”
“ I told you I’m leaving because we are. You’re not even doing your job right. Where are the handcuffs, hm? ” Kokichi never rejected him. “ I’m a little busy, as you can see, so can you kindly fuck off? ” He never would with sincerity.
Shuuichi had to believe. If he wanted to convince him, then he had to give it his all. No unnecessary emotions, but solid arguments. He shook his head. Realisation had kindled a flame in his eyes strengthened his resolve.
“ No. That’s wrong ”, words that visibly infuriated Kokichi, but he continued. “ I’m not here for work. We may be enemies, but… today I’m here as your friend. ” The thief snorted and threw his hands in the air as if he wasn’t taking him seriously. It irked him, but he reminded himself not to falter.
“ Friends? You’re making me laugh! Did you think our connection meant something? If that’s the case, poor Mr. Detective must be delusional! ”, Kokichi taunted him with the bravado of a master thief such as himself. “ I acknowledge your competence, which is why I sent you that letter ‒ that’s it. If you’re looking for a tragic reunion, I’m not‒ ”
“ I care! I’m doing it because I care for you, Ouma-kun! When will you get it through that thick skull of yours? ”, his sentenced trailed off into a hiss, far too emotional for his taste. It was hard to force it down. “ Because… even if Ouma Kokichi is an insufferable, arrogant, know-it-all criminal, I’d chase you to the ends of the world…! ”
His heart skipped a beat. He expected to get a reply but wound up with none. Oppressive silence lingered between them. Despite the tension, Shuuichi’s shoulders slumped and the heat rose to his cheeks, painting them a rosy colour. Dammit. He didn’t want to say it like this. Kokichi was looking back at him with wide eyes and no emotion visible whatsoever. Just... waiting. Was he waiting? They stared at each other. Shuuichi couldn’t take it any longer.
“ Ah... are you doubting me? ”, he asked. Instead of anger, sadness stained his tone. “ It’s fine, but… I’m telling the truth. So hear me out. ” He clutched at his heart and felt tears pricking the corners of his eyes. “ If Ouma-kun leaves, it won’t be the same... when I said I won’t be able to keep my position, this isn’t what I meant. I don’t want you to go. I want you to stay, more than anything! I’m just worried we’ll be forced to... forced to end this. Whatever game it is we’re playing. ”
Before he got a chance to continue, Kokichi finally answered. Shuuichi expected his response to be dismissive yet was surprised with how gentle his voice sounded. Soothing and honest. Vulnerable, almost.
“ Because Saihara-chan isn’t showing results...? Because you’ll be taken off my case, is that it? But... if I go, you won’t have to worry about silly things like that. ”
That’s when he realised. Right now, Kokichi wasn’t scared of being near ‒ he was doing him a favour. Preventing the worst-case scenario before it became a possibility, planning ahead as always. It was typical and yet he had been so blind...
“ Can’t we come up with something together? ”
Shuuichi stepped closer. The tension seeped from Kokichi’s body and his bony hands slacked. The detective dared to grasp one of them carefully. Their touch was warm like a crackling fireplace in the middle of an icy winter. He was welcome here.
“ ...you’re worried, aren’t you, Ouma-kun? But... it’s worth it. To me, it is. I’ll prove it. ” He laced their fingers together in a silent, sickeningly sweet promise. Kokichi swallowed hard but let go of the bag in his other hand. It hit the ground with an uncomfortable thud, which went ignored by the two. “ Can’t you stay a little longer? I’d love that more than anything. ”
“ I… ”, the thief hesitated. With his eyes downcast, Kokichi took a step back. He shouldn’t be doing this. It was irrational. And yet, when he dared to glance at Shuuichi’s eyes, the fondness he saw felt like an arrow that struck his heart. Right where it hurt the most, right where it healed the most. He felt himself melt into the inviting warmth. The taller man noticed his inner struggle and encouraged him.
“ You don’t have to reply right away, Ouma-kun. But, if you could reconsider… it’d mean something. ”
It knocked the air out of Kokichi’s lungs. A cold breeze reminded him of the heat that warmed his cheeks. Finally, he dared to step closer. One step, two steps, until Shuuichi opened his arms wide to offer an embrace. It was an invitation, nothing more than that.
He took it. He cut the distance between them and a dam of emotions broke inside his heart, flooding his body with a deep-seated longing. Kokichi wrapped his arms around him tight and Shuuichi returned it. Both held onto one another as if their life depended on it.
“ Thank you… ”
The words left Kokichi’s lips in a whisper. Shuuichi’s body shook against him with a relieved chuckle as he nuzzled purple strands of hair. The luggage had been forgotten and so was the ship that set sail in the distance. A decision like this was too heavy to make overnight.
Maybe they were meant to fare together instead.
“ Thank you, too… ”

✦ Against All Odds ✦
Happy Birthday, Ouma Kokichi! I had many ideas for today, but decided to go with something silly and mindlessly light-hearted. It’s because Ouma deserves nothing but smiles and good things. ♥
Prompt: Birthday/Celeberation/Gifts? All of them! @oumaevents
Shipping: A hint of Saioumota, can be viewed as platonic Words: 1825 Trigger Warnings: none Posted: 21.06.2020
Description: Class 79 has graduated and are now celebrating Ouma’s birthday shortly after by hosting a surprise party. There’s games and karaoke, but most of all, Ouma wants to thank whoever came up with the idea. The future looks brighter than ever before!
☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆------------☆
“ I place the Knave of Swords face down in defence mode and end my turn. ”
“ Nyeh… Ouma. I’m reading your fortune, you can’t- is that Yugioh…? You’re making fun of me…! ”
Himiko turned the card he had placed on the table, only to reveal a trap card that had nothing to do with this. Before she could complain further, he had already jumped to his feet with a toothy grin on his face. The movement carried so much energy that he almost knocked the makeshift paper crown with plastic rhinestones off his head.
“ Ouma, we’re going for another round! You coming or what? ”
“ Wait for meee! ”
As quickly as his feet could carry him, he made his way across the gym packed with all students of HPA’s 79th’s class. When he arrived in front of the large projector screen, his eyes met Kaito’s. The astronaut shoved a microphone into his hands, and he looked at Kokichi with a grin so bright even the stars might have turned green with envy. Upbeat music filled the hall with a merry melody and the lyrics started running.
“ Hakuna Matata… what a wonderful phrase! Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze! ”
It was post-graduation. Their years at Hope’s Peak had raced by at the speed of light. Against his own expectations, Kokichi had made friends. Some of them where the people he expected to befriend the least, but he had no regrets. Everyone had a habit of cursing him out, getting angry with him for his pranks or doubting him for the colourful lies he spouted.
But looking at the shining party decorations, the large buffet and the hall filled with delighted chatter and people who had grown to care for him, maybe opening up just a bit had paid off. These years had been full of laughter. Today was their final show and he stood amidst it all, their main man, their leading character.
“ C’mon, c’mon! When are ya gonna tell me who did this, huh? You can’t hide it from me, I can see through all of your lies! ”, he dug for an answer with big, curious eyes.
“ Shut up, dipshit! How am I supposed to know? I only came ‘cause it’s annoying as hell to see you cry. Whatever, did ya tried the cake Akamatsu made? Moist as fuck, sweeter than a buncha virgins! ”
Miu avoided his question even after she had given him a present. It was a self-made, remote-controlled helicopter. Flashy colours, too. He loved it.
“ Gontaaa, I’m at a loss… I wanna thank you guys so bad… but I just can’t figure it out! Pleeease tell me? Pwetty pwease? ”
“No can do! Gonta has promised to keep quiet about the secret. Sorry! But let’s have fun instead! I brought a present too!”
Although he winded up with no answer again, the carefully crafted friendship bracelet the gentle giant placed in his hands was so godawfully cheesy, he almost teared up right then and there. Threading something so delicate with these huge hands must’ve been so hard.
He never ever wanted to take it off.
Still, onto the next round.
“ Don’t even ask. Anyway, just… take this. Pretend this never happened or I’ll straighten your spine with a hot iron. ”
Kokichi had frozen solid and accepted the present Maki handed him.
“ Y’know, it’s kinda rude to give death threats on someone’s birthday ”, he mused as he unwrapped the small package. “ …thanks, Harukawa-chan! ”
Admittedly, that nail polish was a rich shade of violet he instantly adored. He didn’t anticipate that she put thoughts into things like these, but he liked it.
Of course, he had a good guess who truly might have set up this party for him. Though there was a certain joy to badgering everyone as he played pranks on them, smothered them with silly jokes and probed for their reactions. But the people he was closest to, he could guess that one of them had set up this whole surprise party deal. While it was an annual tradition for him to celebrate with DICE once midnight struck, he had partied with others outside of his organisation as well.
Nonetheless, this was… special. Unique. The stuff for unforgettable memories.
“ Ouma-kun…! Are you having fun? ”
A gentle voice reached his ears as he stood near the buffet. When he turned to face the person, he did so with a smile – Shuuichi stood before him, in a white dress shirt and colourful streamers dangling from his shoulders. Kokichi had put them there, to decorate the biggest present.
“ Shuumai, I’m so bored! Having to pretend all day’s so exhausting… I wanna take a break! ”, he whined and clung to Shuuichi’s sleeve while rocking back and forth on his feet, impatiently. Right after surprise had crossed the detective’s features, they smiled knowingly at each other. Today, even Kokichi couldn’t keep up the act for long.
“ Oh, I see. Would you like me to cancel things and send everyone h- ”
“ Don’t you dare! This is the most fun I’ve had all my life! ” The detective was rudely interrupted but didn’t seem to mind. Instead, Shuuichi uttered a soft chuckle behind slender fingers. Kokichi felt his heart leap.
“ …you did it, right? Saihara-chan planned all this… right? ”
“Ah…”, the taller boy hadn’t expected to be asked this soon, it seemed. Golden eyes reflexively flitted aside and avoided him before the detective gathered the courage to meet Kokichi’s inquisitive gaze. “ …well, yes. But it wasn’t just me! I got help and- ”
“ Who was it? ”, Kokichi asked with genuine curiosity, “ You’ll tell me, right? ”
Seconds passed in silence while Shuuichi gazed at him, taking in the foreign expression on the leader’s face. His words sounded genuine, laced with a sincere longing for the truth. A sign of trust. Shuuichi’s gaze softened and he leant closer to murmur the answer into his ear.
“ Momota-chan!? ”
“ N-not so loud, geez! ”
Kokichi’s mouth stood agape as he stared at him in disbelief. But there was no sign of a lie on the other’s face. Against Shuuichi’s expectations, Kokichi perked up on the spot once realisation settled in.
“ You mean it? He did!? He didn’t just tag along because you asked him to? ”
“ Yeah. Are you really that surprised or are you just pretending? ”, Shuuichi asked, honestly eager for an answer. The relieved smile on Kokichi’s lips was dazzling and slightly overdrawn. Or had he really not anticipated that turn of events…?
“ Nuh-uh, I mean it! I thought Momo-chan haaates my guts. I’m glad he isn’t trying to kill me on my birthday. Otherwise I’d have to call an ambulance… but not for me! ”
“ I heard my name? Y’know, ‘s rude talkin’ about people behind their back. If ya got something to say to me, spit it out! ”
Both boys turned towards the one who had joined in on their conversation. Kaito’s voice sounded booming, just like his presence, which demanded everyone’s undivided attention. The clash between him and Kokichi was amusing, but perhaps this was exactly why they ended up getting along despite their many differences.
“ Hiyeeeh! I’ve been caught, I’ve been caught! I didn’t do anything wrong ever in my entire life! ” Not unlike a cornered animal, Kokichi squirmed under Kaito’s gaze. The astronaut placed a broad hand on his head and started ruffling his hair furiously, which only caused the prankster to utter another high-pitched whine. “ Mercyyy! ”
“ Go easy on him, Momota-kun. I’d prefer not to wipe any tears, for once ”, Shuuichi mused with a small smile on his lips. It prompted a laugh out of the other before he finally let go of their gremlin.
“ Yeah, yeah. Anyway, you havin’ fun? Everyone worked hard to make this party great, so you better appreciate it! ”
Kokichi smiled at their enthusiasm. Yeah, that was right. Maybe they had instigated it, but the surprise was the fruit of everyone’s hard labour. A few years ago, he would have never considered this possible. People caring enough, people minding enough, people wanting to go out of their way for him. He wasn’t quite sure how to handle it at all.
But, looking at the bright smiles on Shuuichi’s and Kaito’s faces, he felt confident enough to let loose, just a little bit.
“ Mmh. I’m having fun. I mean it! Besides, you’ll have to deal with me from now on ”, Kokichi spread his arms wide and puffed out his chest at his declaration, “ As the Ultimate Supreme Leader, my journey has only just begun. So I need you two to work even harder. Nishishi… I’ll never stop pestering you and that’s a promise! ”
For whatever reason, he received no answer. Both boys stared at him in a mix of awe and disbelief. Sure, he wanted all their attention to be on him, but this was just awkward…! Had he said something wrong?
“ Geez, earth to Momota-chan, earth to Saihara-chan! At least say something to my bold declaration. I just proposed a peace treaty, dammit! ”
“ R-right. Sorry… I’m just really happy. That means we’ll stay friends, right? ” Shuuichi had snapped out of his trance and nodded. Affection kindled a gentle spark in his golden eyes. “ …no. I’ll make sure of it. I care for you, Ouma-kun. There’s… a lot I don’t know about you yet, but I won’t give up on seeing the real you. ”
Kaito picked up on his words with a confident grin on his face.
“ My sidekick’s right! You’re a huge pain in the ass sometimes, Ouma. But, uh… I guess you’re our pain in the ass. Right? ”
Kokichi blinked, before wheezing giggles escaped his lungs. With one arm wrapped around his stomach and one rubbing away the welling tears, he uttered a hearty laughter. One he could neither hold back nor wanted to.
“ P…pfft haha! I can’t believe you. Have you guys always been this cheesy? Geez! ”
“ Oooi oi oi! I was trying to be nice, dammit! Appreciate it, you gremlin! ”
Shuuichi joined in on Kokichi’s laughter, prompting Kaito to look back and forth between them, scandalised. Right when he was about to complain further, the situation caught up to him and he gave up on playing the part. No use pretending right now. All three of them were happy to be here today.
“ …Shuumai. Momo-chan. ”
Something about Kokichi’s smile changed. It mellowed, giving way to the crinkling and fond glow of lavender eyes that spoke of sincerity. It was surprisingly gentle for someone usually so boisterous.
Perhaps that was what made it so rewarding. As if someone had caught a little ray of sunshine in a bottle and gifted it to them, for the kindness of it.
“ Thank you. ”
Their time at Hope’s Peak Academy had come to an end. When he reached out to embrace them and was squeezed tight into a hug, he knew for certain that this was only the beginning of a bigger journey.
Ouma Kokichi could lie about a lot.
But he couldn’t lie about the warmth of his hands.

✦ Let’s fix this ✦
I’m a day late, but happy saiouma/oumasai day! This is fluffy with a hint of hurt & comfort and was super fun to write. They share kisses and sweet promises. I want them to be happy together ♥
Shipping: Oumasai Words: 1569 Trigger Warnings: brief suicide mention Posted: 11.03.20
“Let’s fix this.”
Lavender eyes gazed upon the band aid wrapped around his finger. Years in the past, a cut had graced his left index. Now, the patch was secured around one of his pale fingers like a ring. Sitting on the broad windowsill with his back against the wall, Kokichi watched as golden rays of sunlight made his nail polish glimmer. It was a dark purple shade, reminiscent of amethysts, one that Shuuichi had complimented him on. As they had grown older, both decided to express themselves more freely. It was a gift they had bestowed upon themselves, one that came in a vast palette of colours.
Back then, everything had been drenched in stoic grey, contrasting the sickening colours of blood and neon. Their bodies had been sleeping, kept alive by strange machines and losing muscle with the passage of time. When Kokichi had consciously breathed again for the first time, his legs had failed him, the tears dribbled down his cheeks and searing pain threatened to conquer his heart. A broken reality and a broken will had clashed down on him, ones that left him crushed below the burden of his guilt. Those words, full of determination and kindness, resounded in his ears to this very day.
“Let’s fix this. Let’s fix this, Ouma-kun. I know it’s late, but… I accept your request. Let’s work together.”
A nostalgic smile adorned his lips as he played with the sleeve of his sweater. Years ago, he had been ashamed of showing weakness, of revealing the marks he carried on his body. But now that he had grown, he carried them like battle scars, proud and unrelenting. What slumbered below the peaceful facade of their home, the green branches of herbs and flowers and the welcoming warmth of fuzzy blankets was the fiery determination to live, like plants taking root and forcing their tender heads through the cracking asphalt.
“Here you go.”
To his own surprise, he hadn’t heard the detective approach. His gaze locked onto the steaming mug of tea Shuuichi offered him and he accepted it gracefully. With his own mug in hand, the taller man sat down alongside him on the windowsill. Fading sunlight cast shadows upon the room. Shuichi’s sun-kissed skin stole his breath, before he managed to tear his eyes from the sight of his beloved. The liquid comfort in his hands warmed his palms. Kokichi inhaled deeply as the tea filled his lungs with the fragrance of vanilla and roses.
“Is this your new favourite or are you doing me a favour, Shuu-chan?”
Shuuichi curiously tilted his head, before he gave a soft chuckle. A strand of raven hair fell into his forehead and Kokichi reached out to brush it behind his ear. It felt smooth.
“Hmm, maybe both… you look peaceful drinking it, Kokichi. I love seeing you smile.”
“Help, my boyfriend is trying to seduce me! Oh, wait, I forgot”, Kokichi snickered and shifted on the spot before setting down his mug. They were sitting directly in front of the tall glass panes, an amazing view they had indulged in many times since moving here. He draped the snow-white blanket over both of them, before knocking their shoulders together in a playful gesture. “Shuumai always has to make doubly sure he can’t make me any more gay.”
A tender shade of red dusted Shuuichi’s cheeks as he huffed, albeit in embarrassment. Nonetheless, a smile snuck on his lips right after. The detective returned the gesture and rested his head atop Kokichi’s.
“I-It’s only fair. You do it all the time”, he retorted, though it lacked oomph, “I can’t let you do all the work on your own… right?”
Kokichi gingerly shook his head against him and closed his eyes shut.
“You gotta take a break sometimes. Shuumai always works waaay too hard…”
“Mmh”, Shuuichi gave an affirmative hum, for he had read between the lines. Today was their day off, a time reserved to bask in each other’s presence and let go of the stress of their daily lives. Kokichi pondered how different things had turned out to be. Never had he expected that someday he would embrace the quieter sides of life – but he was glad to have given them a chance, for they were the happiest he had ever experienced. Alongside Shuuichi, there was nothing that could bore him. His presence cast a gentle glow on all things ordinary, shedding a new light upon them, just like the detective he was.
Silence lingered in the room as they held each other warm and shared tea. Kokichi’s breathing slowed as he let his gaze wander. Small pots with plants and flowers lined the space next to the windows, arranged so they’d allow a small seating area on top of the windowsill. They had hung up fairy lights and placed cushions to sit on. Despite living in such a busy city, the view was marvellous. The sun gleamed against the skyscrapers and tall mountains in the distance, casting its evening glow across the land. An eternity seemed to pass as gold slowly melted into rich shades of purple, giving room to the starry night sky. A hand full of clouds hung above, yet the stars still managed to peak through alongside a crescent moon.
“Kokichi…”
He blinked when Shuichi’s voice tore him out of his thoughts. It was rare for him to get distracted despite saying nothing. He gave a questioning hum.
“I’ve… been thinking…”, Shuichi started, with gentle sincerity in his voice, “I’d like to spend our lives together.”
Ah. He didn’t expect that. Kokichi shuffled to look at him. When he cupped Shuichi’s chin, the detective met his gaze head on as if trying to showcase his honesty. The gears started spinning inside Kokichi’s mind, putting together the pieces.
“…are you surprised?”
There was something unnerving at how easily Shuichi could read him by now, despite him not having said a word. Kokichi’s eyes flitted back and forth between his lips, his eyes, his palm resting against Shuichi’s cheek. It was as if he were trying to find fitting words in the other’s expression, but it turned out to be a struggle nonetheless.
“No”, he lied, only to correct himself, “…yes. I didn’t think Shuumai wants it.”
Shuichi’s gaze softened in an instant and he reached out to cup the hand resting on his cheek. After nuzzling it, he pressed a featherlight kiss to his palm. It caused Kokichi’s breath to hitch.
“I do. At this point, I can’t imagine a life without you. You… don’t have to answer right away. I just wanted you to know.”
Shuichi’s confession did a number of things to him. He swallowed thickly as his stomach twisted, before heat rose to the tip of his ears. Commitment was scary. Being tied down, being vulnerable, being known. But as he kept gazing into those longing, golden eyes, he grew breathless. Yes, a voice inside his mind urged him, I want you, I’ve always wanted you.
Kokichi willed himself to tell the truth, just this once.
“I’ve never trusted anyone with my life, ever. Since… since…”, his words trailed off and so did his mind, but Shuichi was quick to press another kiss to his palm. “…but I wanna. If it’s you, then…”
Something inside of him crumbled. Perhaps his desperation had shown in his eyes, since Shuichi drew him into a heartwarming kiss that sent pleasant shivers down the curve of his spine. Kokichi melted against those velvety lips. Once he had wrapped his arms around Shuichi’s neck, he pulled him closer for a row of kisses that made both of them sigh in content.
“I’ll treasure it. I promise.”
He had never been so ready to blindly trust someone’s words.
Kokichi brushed a strand of hair out of Shuichi’s face, before he nestled their foreheads together. But the detective wasn’t done, for he added something else in a quiet, meek voice.
“Back then, I… I wanted to die.”
It hurt. Hearing that, it was like needles piercing through his skin. But he knew.
“But Shuuichi doesn’t feel that way anymore, does he?”
A tear escaped his golden eyes, one Kokichi managed to catch just in time. He held him close as he caught the salty droplets rolling down his cheeks and kissed his forehead as if to heal his pain. Relief washed through him when Shuichi shook his head, despite the fact he knew. Things had changed for the better, but it never failed to ease his nerves.
“No, I don’t… it’s because now, I look forward to tomorrow. Because everyone’s here, because Kokichi is… I love you so much, Kokichi.”
“I’ll make every day worthwhile. That’s a promise.”
Despite being teary-eyed, the smile Shuuichi offered him was dazzling. There was nothing better than summoning a smile on those lips when he needed it most. He mirrored it and they shared another kiss in silent understanding.
“I love you too, Shuumai… I wanna try… ”, Kokichi added before hugging him tight, their hearts beating close to one another.
“You make me so happy, Kokichi. So happy…”, Shuuichi accentuated this with a tiny kiss to his nose and smiled, “I’ll do my best, too.”
The young leader couldn’t help but break out into a toothy grin when he took his hand.
“Mh! Together it is. I always wanna be with my beloved, after all!”

“I’m not going back to jail!”
Shuichi’s sides were starting to burn from running aroundand laughing his lungs out. His and his uncle’s home wasn’t too spacious, butKokichi made up for it with his lithe body. Maybe it was unexpected to seeShuichi like this - with a dazzling smile on his face and play fighting withsomeone like Kokichi out of all people, chasing him. But to him, it made sensemore than anything else. It only took a blink of an eye and they were foolingaround with each other. That was just how easily Kokichi lifted his spirits andeases his worries.
“You won’t escape me this time, Ouma-kun! Don’t you-wheh!”
Just when his arms shot forward to wrap themselves tightaround the prankster, Kokichi side-stepped him and briefly tickled his sides.Though when he spun on his heels to get revenge, Kokichi had already jumped onhis bed. Bouncing up and down with a toothy grin on his face, he shook hissmall fists in excitement.
“Catch me, catch me! C’mon, c’mon!”
Shuichi caught his breath and gaped at him, before hesteeled his nerves and stepped on the bed. For a long moment their eyes lockedonto each other. The intensity summoned prickling tension between them, thecalm before the storm. Shuichi took the initiative to step closer, trying toget the best of him. He only caught a glimpse of a smirk on Kokichi’s lips ashe twisted his body to escape his grasp, which sent Shuichi stumbling on themattress. Attempts were made, all failures.
Though when Shuichi changed his tactic and grasped thehem of his shirt instead, Kokichi lost balance and fell face forward. Hesqueezed his eyes shut and braced his arms for the impact, struggling to turnonto his back immediately.
“Got you.”
“Huh?”
Shuichi’s palms were pressing down on Kokichi’sshoulders, pushing him into the mattress. As both were catching their breath,Kokichi’s mouth stood agape in shock. This was probably the first time he had managedto catch him during one of their games. Not that he minded, but this…
“My, my. Shumai’s sure feeling bold today, isn’t he? Whatare you gonna do to me next, huh?”
Shuichi’s brows furrowed before his ears heated up inrealisation. He was hovering above and pinning him down on his shoulders, ofcourse Kokichi was going to make a joke about it. As if to deny the verypossibility, he violently shook his head. But he didn’t let go.
“Th… that’s not it at all! …but, Icaught you, just like I promised. That’s what you wanted, right?”
“Ehhh… I don’t know about that…”, Kokichi hummed as hesmiled up to him, neither confirming nor disagreeing with it. His heart waspounding in his chest, not only from exhaustion, admittedly.
Shuichi was so pretty like that. His eyes shone in agentle, golden shade. Thick lashes stood against his cheeks and dishevelled, raven hair framed his heated face perfectly. Their breaths calmed down inunison and Kokichi realised they were still staring at each other. Gazingat each other, without saying a word. He realised he could do this all day.Just looking at someone, being with someone in silence, without being bored…
“Ah.”
When he awoke from his dreamy trance, their faces weremuch closer than before. The grasp on Kokichi’s shoulders was gone. Shuichi’s warmbreath tickled his skin and sent a pleasant shiver down his spine. Hesitantly,he wrapped his arms around his back… and gave an almost unnoticeable nod whenShuichi glanced at his lips. As if they were something precious, not to be touchedby anyone unworthy. As if he were the sun himself.
That was impossible though. When their lips finallytouched in a careful, experimental caress, Kokichi felt like he was melting. Hisheartbeat leapt in his throat when he leaned in to reciprocate and his eyes hadfallen shut to enjoy the moment. Maybe it wasn’t going to last long. Maybe not…but Shuichi’s soft lips against his own felt endless.
Shuichi had pulled back, but their lips were stillhovering next to each other. Kokichi decided to be courageous and threaded hisfingers through his dark hair.
“…Shumai…”
“…Kokichi.”
His name. Shuichi had never used his given name before.Especially not like that. When their foreheads touched, a shaky exhale left Kokichi’slips. They were gazing into each other as if trying to unravel what lay beforethem.
“I love you, Kokichi…”
“…Shuichi.”
A smile tugged on Shuichi’s lips. When he leaned in tokiss him once more, he knew that was answer enough.

"Sorry im sick on valentines day..." WITH SAUOUMA AND KOKICHI WAS RLLY EXITED BUT HE GOT SICK AA. (sorry for being so ott i just really love this promt 😅)
💞 Cute Valentines Starters 💞 Shipping: OumasaiWord Count: 403Note: you’re fine my dude!! I’m happy about any request I get and this was so cute, thank you! ♥
Kokichi had fought his pounding headache hard. As a master of deception, he was well-versed in hiding his troubles and weakness, no matter their kind. But even he couldn’t hide a heavy cold that long and especially not in the presence of his one and only favourite detective.
“You need to stop pushing yourself when you’re not feeling good.”
“Hmph…”
“I almost called an ambulance, Kokichi. You can’t just pass out in the middle of the street…!”
“Mmph…! Stooop it…”
Kokichi had his face burrowed in a pillow, a thick duvet resting on his body and a medical mask covering his mouth and nose. His hair was disheveled, his cheeks red and his forehead carried a thin layer of sweat. Shuichi pressed a cold washcloth to it. The trickster found himself unable to escape his strict and worried gaze, one so disheartening it managed to make even a supreme leader’s heart twist in regret.
“Hey… are you okay?” The concern in Shuichi’s gaze gave way to an affectionate hush. He carefully placed his hand on Kokichi’s cheek and stroked it with his thumb. The sick boy closed his eyes shut with a choked whine. Kokichi buried his face further in the pillow, before he finally murmured a reply.
“…sorry I’m sick on Valentine’s Day, Shumai…”
“Ah…”, Shuichi exhaled in relief. He moved to stroke Kokichi’s hair and gave his head rubs to soothe the pain. Before too long, he dropped the washcloth in the bucket of cold water. Shuichi tugged his own mask down and leaned in to place a loving kiss to his forehead, warm lips against yet cooled skin.
“If we can’t go out, let’s have fun at home. I… I like taking care of you, so…”, his sentence trailed off as he averted his gaze. Shuichi’s cheeks flushed a rosy red that made warmth pool in Kokichi’s gut.
“Y… you’re gonna get sick”, came his weak protest, but Shuichi already pulled up his mask once more. Judging by the crinkle of his eyes, he could tell the other was smiling. When he was about to fetch them food and water, an urge overcame Kokichi that made him grasp the other boy by his collar. Shuichi’s eyes widened when their foreheads touched. Despite Kokichi’s weakened state, his gaze spoke of sincere gratitude. .
“…I love you, Shuumai. I love you so much…”
“Me too, Kokichi. It’s gonna be okay... don’t worry.”

💝 Commission 💝
Shipping: Oumasai Words: 985 Posted: 22.02.20 Commissioner: @frauleinjustice Given Prompt: This is the boys’ first Valentines Day together as husbands. It’s late by the time they’ve arrived home by their date, but they don’t want to go to sleep just yet. In fact: Kokichi suggests they change into their pajamas and slow dance in the kitchen. While quiet, romantic music plays in the background…
Author’s Note: This was really fun to write. Thanks a lot Kay! I made it extra cheesy for you. Enjoy, my beloved. ♡
Loaded silence hung in the air, making their bedroom feel like a timeless space. Kokichi’s eyes clung to his husband’s back as he unbuttoned the white dress shirt that hugged his shoulders tight, only to reveal spotless, pale skin. His mouth stood agape as he watched the movement of his muscles against his shoulder blades. Kokichi got to his feet without thinking. Once the distance between them was crossed, he rested his hands on Shuichi’s bare waist and placed a kiss on his neck that made the detective shiver.
“What… was that about tea before bed, Kokichi? Won’t we- augh! U-ueeeueee…”, Shuichi got cut off by the firm squeeze to his butt, followed by a devious snicker. He was right however, they did say they were going to drink tea and snuggle up on the couch until they felt sleepy enough to let the day go. After their Valentine’s date, they felt blissfully exhausted yet light awake. Another idea crossed his mind.
“I wanna dance”, Kokichi blurted out“, I wanna dance like we did in school back then.”
At this, Shuichi turned around, a baffled look on his face. Not too long and surprise melted into a gentle smile.
“Alright. Let’s dance first and then have some tea.”
“Nishishi… why not both? I’m the master of multitasking, Shuumai!”
Shuichi tilted his head in wonder. „But, how are we going to-„
“Don’t break your pretty head over it. Change and join me in the kitchen, o-kay?”
Shuichi seemed ready to interrogate him, though was silenced by a kiss to his cheek. He touched the spot Kokichi’s lips had kissed before he nodded in agreement.
The leader had already changed into his pyjamas, so he went ahead into the kitchen - a small place filled with shelves of tea, coffee, syrup and herbs in little planters.
After he fetched two mugs and a large tea pot, he filled the kettle and brought water to boil. As the bubbling grew louder, he tried to decide between mountain oolong and a special blend he had brought home from his last trip to Africa. Both smelled alluring, yet he ultimately chose the former since it was his husband’s favourite. Even if they had already spent a nearly perfect day, he wanted to make it even more perfect for the one he loved. Just when he placed the filter with loose leaves in the pot, the sound of quiet steps reached his ears. Saihara’s presence was silent, a glaring contrast to Kokichi’s dominant aura. He felt arms wrap around his waist and Shuichi’s familiar smell filled his lungs as the other nuzzled his hair.
“…isn’t Shuumai gonna be cheesy and ask for a dance?”
Kokichi knew the other smiled by the voiceless chuckle that left him, before he stepped back and put some quiet, calm music on. When he turned around, he was greeted by Shuichi in pale, comfortable clothes, who took his hand and placed a shy kiss upon its back.
“May I ask for a dance, Kokichi?”
“N… now you lost me. That sorta tension makes it super awkward! Anyway, yes.”
He was admittedly flustered, but no way was he going to say it out loud. Shuichi could tell by now.
A man’s soulful voice embarked them in a loving melody as they held each other, hands on hips and shoulders, intertwined fingers and soft heartbeats. They gazed at each other softly and soon stole kisses from one another, tender ones that were full of adoration. Warmth rose to Kokichi’s cheeks as he felt himself ensnared by Shuichi’s breath-taking presence. The touch of his lips and their quiet confessions were soon mingling.
“I wanna…try something, too…”, Kokichi breathed out and steeled his nerves. Shuichi’s interest was perked, and he let him pull the ropes, following his guide. With his feet firmly planted on the ground, he placed his hands on Shuichi’s back and shifted his weight slowly. His silent request was accepted, and Shuichi wrapped his arms around his neck, letting himself be held. Their eyes locked onto one another and their breath halted in unison as Kokichi dipped him low, carefully leaning down as much as his body allowed him to. Heat rushed through his body and made his cheeks burn when their noses almost touched.
Slowly, they moved up. With their bodies close, Kokichi lost himself in a sea of gold. There was everything in Shuichi’s eyes he could wish for, more than he could ever dream of.
When Shuichi leant in to kiss him deeply, every fibre of his being sensed that the feeling was mutual. Their lips touched as if it was meant to be, as if they had finally found their soulmate whom they had spent many lifetimes with. Overwhelmed by emotion, Kokichi barely swallowed a whine. Their tongues intertwined and Shuichi’s fingers threaded through his hair. Kokichi grasped at his shirt for hold.
When he pulled back, both had to catch their breath.
“…did you like our date today?”
He wasn’t sure why he asked the question, but it caused Shuichi’s face to light up.
“Y…yes! I loved it as much as I love Kokichi…! …ah…”, for once, Shuichi had spoken before thinking. The detective’s cheeks were painted a lovely cherry red once he realised what he had said. Kokichi’s heart soared.
“I love Shuumai even more! You can’t change my mind.”
“A…are you sure? Since I love my husband a lot…”
Kokichi grinned so hard his mouth hurt.
“Let’s test it. I bet you can’t hug me as much as I do!”
He sprinted out of the room before the other could protest. Shuichi hadn’t forgotten about the tea, so he finished what his beloved had started. He thought to himself, this might turn out to be a longer night than expected.
Life was good if spent with someone who made him smile so happily. With Kokichi…

“Nnnh…”
A sleepy hand grabbed at the back of his shirt. Shuichi froze with bated breath as he realised, he might’ve woken him up. It was Saturday and they had agreed on spending a lazy day at home. But he’d been awake for so long and didn’t want to disturb Kokichi’s sleep, so he thought maybe, he could sneak in a little work before breakfast…
“Nooo… don’t go…”
The warmth that enveloped his heart melted his determination away. Without being able to help it, Shuichi turned around and slipped back under the comforting embrace of their covers. Kokichi made a cute, content noise in the back of his throat when he kissed his forehead. No, it was impossible. When he saw his boyfriend like this, a sleepy mess of dishevelled hair and rosy cheeks, it was impossible not to hug him tight. With a quiet, embarrassed whine at his own thoughts, he gave in and pulled Kokichi closer to snuggle him like a small teddy bear.
He had told him a long time ago. Shuichi knew of Kokichi’s nightmares, just like his own. So if he asked him to stay, he would, because he knew both of them slept better with the other around.
“…shishi… nishishi… Shumai’s gonna… squeeze me to death, dummy…”
He blinked his lavender eyes open and drew a smile from Shuichi’s lips. Taking in his familiar smell, he buried his nose in Kokichi’s hair and his eyes fluttered shut.
“Ah, sorry. Did I wake you…?”
Kokichi lightly shook his head, followed by a squeeze.
“Duh! How dare you interrupt my beauty sleep? You’re-”, he yawned into Shuichi’s chest, “…insufferable.”
Shuichi gave a soft giggle. “How can I make it up to you, Kokichi…?”
“Hmmm…” The prankster ran a hand through his raven hair, twirling a strand around his finger in thought, making Shuichi coo. “Address me as your Highness for the rest of the day.”
“…alright, my Majesty- Ow!” Kokichi hit his back with the flat of his hand. Though, there was a tinge of pink on his cheeks that made Shuichi laugh. “Sorry, I’m sorry! Your Highness.”
“I was joking, silly”, Kokichi stuck his bottom lip out in a pout and averted his gaze. He couldn’t help but reach out to stroke his cheek. So soft… however, that was when a piercing gaze caught onto him and Shuichi froze on the spot.
“Don’t lie to me, okay? We said today’s our lazy day. So you better relax, Shumai! …and get me some breakfast.”
It was obvious that he had been caught red-handed and Kokichi shot him a knowing yet forgiving smile. He knew this was to ensure he’d rest, but old habits were so hard to break.
But if he was asked to make food, he’d have to focus on that task. Alright.
“Are pancakes alright? We still have some berries and that syrup you like…”, he mused with a finger tapping his chin. The smaller boy broke out in a huge grin and leant in for a surprise kiss that made Shuichi’s heart leap.
“Extra syrup, please! …thanks, Shumai.”
Shuichi nodded. When he left their blanket fort, he got to work with a goopy smile on his lips.

✦  Let’s Go Home  ✦
Title: 🌹 Let’s go home 🌹  Shipping: Oumasai Length: 557 Words Setting: They’re married, post HPA! Posted: January 31st 2020  Note: Thought of this at night and thought I’d share some cuteness ♥ I love to write them like this. They’ve spent years together, so Ouma’s more open with his affection.
Description: Shuichi arrives at the airport after a long trip to solve a case. Despite his expectations, he is greeted by his favourite prankster.
Despite fatigue nagging at his bones after such a long flight, he had finally gotten off the plane and grabbed his suitcase. There weren’t many complications so far, at least not as many as were to be expected on any other trip, so he called himself lucky.
After having to travel abroad to solve a particularly convoluted case, he was finally on his way home. Only the way from the airport to their cosy apartment was left.
Shuichi nonetheless felt heaviness weigh on his shoulders. Kokichi was just as busy and wasn’t at home. So, if he were to arrive and unlock the door, all traces of him would be everywhere without his actual presence. After being apart only two weeks, his heart was aching, he missed the one he had promised his life to. Kokichi, who always summoned a smile to his lips no matter how dark the day and filled his heart with love no matter how much doubt nagged at his brain.
As he pulled out of the baggage claim, he made his way towards the exit. But soon, intermingling with the busy chit-chattering, a distant announcement on speaker and the rolling of his suitcase, the sound of steps rang through the hall. Steps growing louder and louder, running towards him.
“Shuumai!”
Shuichi’s eyes widened. He spun on his heels and turned.
“Ueee!”
A firm force hit his chest and knocked him off his feet. Shuichi lost hold of his suitcase, his balance and the ground below him. As his back harshly collided with the floor, it squeezed the air out of his lungs and made dull pain chase up his spine, into his skull.
“Ita-ta-ta… eh?”
When he found himself back in the moment, there was pressure atop his body. A wild mop of purple hair popped up and he locked eyes with his lover, ones amethyst and sparkling so bright he could never mistake them. Kokichi’s grin was wide enough to show off his whole set of teeth.
“K… Kokichi!?”
“Surprise, surprise! I’m here to pick up my beloved. You better be grateful, nishishi…!”
Laughter shook Kokichi’s body that laid on top of him. The prankster’s warmth spread through every fibre of his being and Shuichi sank his head on the ground. The surprise enveloped him in a blanket of dazzling happiness, one so warm he couldn’t help but laugh. When he wrapped his arms tightly around the other in a hug, Kokichi rested their foreheads together and welcomed him with a fond smile.
“Ah, Kokichi… you didn’t have to…”
Kokichi’s expression softened and he placed a feather light kiss on the tip of his nose.
“Yeah, I know. But I do whatever I want, remember…?”
Love came in many forms. As Shuichi ran his hand through Kokichi’s hair, he pulled him closer until their lips united in a tender kiss, one speaking of soft and strong devotion. He got the message loud and clear.
“I missed you, Kokichi…”
Kokichi melted a little inside and pressed his lips firmly against his.
“I missed you, too…”, he replied in a gentle voice, so only he could hear. A strand of hair slipped in front of his forehead and Shuichi brushed it aside with care. He smiled.
“…I love you, Kokichi.”
Kokichi chuckled and whispered:
“I love you, too…. let’s go home, my beloved.”

✦  TACKY GAY FASHION  ✦
Late but... a birthday commission for my friend Lena! Some fluffy cuteness, like you asked for. Enjoy! ♥
Shipping: Oumasai Length: 2118 Words  Setting: Talent Development Plan / HPA + Nekomimi AU Prompt: The best boys go thrift shopping together. Mayhem, gay panic, and tacky fashion ensue.  Posted: January 29th 2020
Description: After graduating from Hope’s Peak, both Saihara and Ouma are invited to a special occasion and need to find some fitting clothes. Their hunt for clothes goes a little wrong, to no one’s surprise. Gone wrong, gone gay, basically
Commissioner: 🌹 @saccharine-strawberries 🌹
“Anyway… give me your best shot. I know you called me out here to go on a mission. Surely, you’ve come fully prepared, Mister Detective. You haven’t forgotten about your debt, have you?”
Some things never changed. Graduation had hit him like a freight train. Their time at Hope’s Peak Academy had ended only a few weeks ago, but Kokichi couldn’t tell anymore. Was the world spinning faster below his feet or was he viewing the world like a slow-motion film inside his head? No matter what… he could rely on one thing.
“Ah. I wasn’t sure what sort of… places you buy your clothes from? Since, uh, your style is different, Ouma-kun. I found some shops online, but they’re all expensive…”
Saihara Shuichi refused to leave his side.
Once the ghost of a smile faded from his lips, the detective’s words trailed off. He was cupping his chin in thought, still doubting his own estimations and research. Well, despite the growth spurt in confidence during the past few years, he was no monster of attitude yet. Kokichi would make it his personal task to chop him down a few if that ever were the case!
“Hey.” Kokichi’s tail had been swaying with each step and now gently tapped at his arm until he caught Shuichi’s attention. A small smirk played on his lips and slitted pupils pierced him with interest. “Earth to Saihara-chan. Didn’t I tell you? You’re supposed to look at me today! Since we’re going shopping. That’s how it works, riiight? Nishishi…”
A soft tinge of pink spread on Shuichi’s cheeks as he nodded in surprise. “Ah. Right. Well, what about you? Since you said we’re on a mission…”
So curious. But he still played along. Kokichi took note of the way his pointed ears perked up in attention. It almost coaxed another chuckle out of him – so responsive! Everything about Shuichi was. His expressions, the pale gold of his eyes he liked so much, his posture, too… a faint memory of gentle purrs flashed up in Kokichi’s mind and he had to catch his breath, otherwise he’d risk stumbling over his own feet like an idiot.
“Well, of course! Since Akamatsu-chan asked so nicely, I’ll make sure we show the best of ourselves. I’m sure you’ve never seen it, but her teeth are those of the devil. I promise you!”
His carefree tone didn’t suggest it. Now that graduation had supposedly “set them for life”, the young lady was going to hold her debut as a renowned world-class pianist in one of the greatest concert halls of Japan. He had seen it so many times – snow white, feathered wings that spread from between her shoulder blades as she let her fingers run across the keys like a gentle spring breeze. But Kaede had bite, figuratively and physically so.
“You think so? I don’t think they’re as scary as you say, Ouma-kun. Well, maybe if you get on her bad side… hehe”, Shuichi giggled as Kokichi pouted at him. “Ah, but… you still haven’t answered my question.”
“That’s because… oh! Tadaaa~!”
Kokichi spun on his heels, stretched his arms wide in a gesture of grandeur and smiled until his small fangs poked out. Currently, he was posing in front of a run-down store that read ‘Tanaka’s Thrifty Commodities.’
“Is that… a thrift shop?”
“Yuppers!”
“…Ouma-kun, are you sure this-”
“Oh, come on! You dragged me all this way just to chicken out? I’m tired. My feet hurt, Saihara-chan! Pretty Pleaaase…?”
Shuichi sighed in exasperation. After rubbing one of his temples, he nodded to himself. He’s got a plan, he thought, it will be alright. Since the concert was going to be well visited and took place under such extravagant circumstances, they had to be dressed right. He knew Kaede had told him not to worry, but he wanted to leave a good impression for her debut… she had worked so hard after all. He was about to huff and retort that coming here hadn’t been his choice at all. But…
“…alright. I’ll make sure you don’t get distracted, Ouma-kun.”
Kokichi finally lowered his arms and smiled. One step closer, another one – their gazes met, and Shuichi felt fingers slide against his palm, grasping his hand. Yet, the surprise made him unable to look away.
“Yaaay…~! C’mon, Saihara-chan!”
Shuichi felt himself dragged along into the store. After a flustered chuckle left his lips, he squeezed his hand back. Right. This couldn’t not be fun if Kokichi was here. They had to stay focused, but he knew they were going to laugh a lot, too. Whenever they spent time together, they did. Before meeting him, Shuichi didn’t know he could laugh so much. The thought summoned a smile to his lips as they stepped inside and were welcomed by rows upon rows of colourful clothing, divided by type, shade and size. It was so much at once, he didn’t realise he held onto Kokichi’s hand longer than usual. His touch felt warm.
“I wonder what we should look for. If it’s a huge concert, a suit might make sense… I have one, but ah, I think I’ve grown since then”, as Shuichi thought out loud, Kokichi turned to face him and pressed his lips in a firm line. “Well. To no one’s surprise, you’re still a toothpick!”
“…” Shuichi gave a slow, reassuring blink of his eyes. “You’ll grow, Ouma-kun. Maybe. Don’t worry.”
Kokichi’s mouth stood agape in shock and his ears drooped.
“Saihara Shuichi. How dare you?”
Shuichi’s hand moved up to cover his mouth as he averted his gaze and gave a quiet, fond laugh. Supposedly enraged, Kokichi grasped at his heart in shock. As if Shuichi wasn’t worth his attention any longer, he clicked his tongue and turned to walk down the aisle towards the formal men’s wear. But Shuichi could tell by the excited sway of his blackish purple tail that no offense was taken. He’s cute if you tease him. He always is.
Their treasure hunt started. Once Kokichi was done pretending to be upset, which took about less than thirty seconds, they browsed through the different types of suits, shirts, vests, ties and accessories. Shuichi found some darker pieces he liked, but Kokichi kept telling him they weren’t 'flashy’ enough, fully aware that Shuichi’s style was the farthest from that it got. The prankster took pride in his image of being the malicious supreme leader of evil, but Shuichi had learnt a while ago that he took a certain liking to colours that were so gaudy and bright, they were outright tacky.
“Nope, nope… nuh-uh! Geez, I wanna find something that’s gonna take the audience’s breath away.”
“You won’t stand in the spotlight. You know that, right?”
Kokichi threw his hands in the air. “Okay, Mister Fancypants. Why don’t you choose something for me then?”
“Me?”, Shuichi uttered in all his brilliance, pointing at the tip of his nose. “I’m not… sure I’d find something that suits your… taste? Since…”
“Since Saihara-chan hasn’t left his emo phase yet? Nishishi… sowwy, sowwy. Seriously though, why don’t we have a little fun instead?” Once Kokichi made his suggestion, he walked further down the aisle, closely followed by his company. Against Shuichi’s expectations, he made no effort to explain himself, however. Shuichi waited for what seemed to be an eternity before curiosity caught up to him and he asked.
“…what game are we playing today, Ouma-kun?”
Kokichi’s eyes sparked with glee and his ears perked up as he pulled out a midnight vest with golden lining. His other hand was clutching a bow tie of all things and he shot Shuichi a dazzling grin.
“Saihara-chan’s so smart. You already know the drill! Whaddaya think I’m doing?”
Shuichi tilted his head in thought and the gears started spinning in his brain. If this were fiction, Kokichi might have seen a light bulb pop up above his head when realisation hit him.
“You want us to pick out clothes for each other?”
Kokichi nodded and barely kept himself from performing a little jump in joy.
“Exacto! Bravo! Nishishi… I don’t see you running yet. Aren’t ya gonna play along?”
The bright praise seemed to encourage him, since Shuichi hummed in agreement. Alas, it didn’t take them long to get started. Kokichi was like a little whirlwind dancing between the racks and filling his arms with an arsenal of whatever he considered worthy of attention. Shuichi however struggled initially, before he bit the bullet and embraced what he thought might look good on the leader. This proved to be effective in both gathering clothes and making himself embarrassed. Hopefully, it would be worth it. When they met up in front of the fitting rooms, Shuichi’s heart was racing a little. Though his nervousness soon dissipated when he spotted the prankster with arms full of clothes and only the tips of his ears peeking out.
“Ahaha… Ouma-kun. I don’t think I can try on all of that.”
“Are you sure though?”, the walking mountain of clothes spoke. “You haven’t tried it yet. Don’t get your panties twisted in a bunch! Just put on whatever you like.”
“I’m not wearing… ah, alright. Let’s just… switch? I’ll put down yours, so…”
“Not yet. Alrighty, go ahead!”
This had Shuichi riddling over what the hell that meant, but he decided to not overthink for the sake of his sanity. The devious chuckle from the neighbouring cubicle was all he needed to know to get started. Shuichi pulled the dark curtain shut and started sorting through his stack. Whenever he found something purposefully ugly, it coaxed a smile or even a soft giggle out of him. The shuffling of fabric and their comments alongside cheery laughter filled the silence for a while.
When Shuichi laid eyes upon a set of lacey, white lingerie, he let out an undignified squeak.
“O-Ouma-kun…!”, he whined, with his brows furrowed in angry embarrassment.
“Is something wrong? Nishishi… I’d looove to see your face right now, Saihara-chan.”
“Guh…”
When Shuichi had put on the midnight vest from earlier on top of a slightly ruffled, black dress shirt, he curiously eyed himself in the mirror. With a few tugs here and there, he had straightened the clothing and thought to himself, it made him look far too important. Like a prince, maybe. It was an outfit he liked, but not one he had the confidence to wear without encouragement.
“I’m gonna come in, Saihara-chan! Make sure to put on some pants. Or else…”
“You’re insufferable”, he shot back and willed down another blush as he turned around. When the curtain opened, he had to bite his lip to supress a small laugh.
Shuichi had allowed himself a little joke and Kokichi knew. He stood in front of him with boots that were too big, plaid pants, unfit striped suspenders and a glaring red bow tie around his neck. Though the best part was the proud grin on Kokichi’s face, as if he’d don this outfit in public anytime.
“Don’t I look handsome?” He put a hand on his hip and puffed out his chest with confidence.
“Yes. As if you walked down from stage just now.”
“Are you calling me a clown?”, Kokichi drew out the last word in shocked disbelief, but Shuichi could only shake his head and reaffirm him. “N-no, it’s just that… I really didn’t think your feet were this small, Ouma-kun.”
Kokichi pursed his lips and looked down at his feet, before he looked at him with his brows knit together.
“But the bow is pretty sexy, I’m keeping that.”
Shuichi smiled in amusement and stepped close, before straightening the ends of his tie. After smoothing out the fabric, their gazes met. Kokichi looked at him with something that couldn’t possibly be affection. Shuichi’s breath hitched.
“Ah, what… do you think of mine?” Shuichi let go and took a nervous step back as he loosely gestured at himself. Kokichi eyed him from head to toe and hummed in thought, before he stepped closer and placed both his palms flat on Shuichi’s chest. They radiated heat, way too close to his heart. Shuichi couldn’t look away from his lavender eyes.
“Are you sure you’re not wearing makeup?”
Shuichi shook his head, tense. Kokichi’s rosy lips pronounced his words carefully, in a low murmur.
“Huh… well, I guess that’s good. After all, Shumai could kill with that look.”
Before he could react, Kokichi’s dark hair whipped around. He strode out of the cubicle and pulled the curtain shut without another word.
Shuichi swallowed thickly before he hurriedly undid the buttons of his vest.
This was going to be a long shopping tour.
Maybe, he didn’t mind.

“You’ve got a fever. Of course I’m not going anywhere.” If you want! 😄
🌹 Send me a Soft Sentence Starter for a drabble! 🌹Shipping: OumasaiWord Count: 505Note: I see so much content with Saihara taking care of Ouma, so let’s do it the other way around. Thanks for sending me something so quick! I hope you like it!
“Nuh-uh. Shumai’s being stubborn. But you can’t fool me! Youlook as if you’re gonna fall over if I blow on you. See?”
Kokichi followed his words and blew warm air onto Shuichi’salready heated face, which wasn’t helping. The detective’s head felt stuffed tothe brim with cotton and the dizziness wouldn’t fade, alongside the fevermaking his heart pound faster in his chest. Had he known Kokichi was the one toknock on his door, maybe he wouldn’t have opened it at all.
…no, I would have. Kokichi wouldn’t let me hear the restof it, after all…
A small smile was summoned to Shuichi’s lips, which wasenough to stun Kokichi speechless. For a long second, the leader’s face wasdevoid of emotion. His thinking face. At least that’s what Shuichi liked tocall it. Something big was going to happen next whenever it appeared, he hadlearned that by now.
“… it’s… it’s really not that bad. I’ll rest a bit, alright?You don’t have to stay…”
Kokichi’s brows furrowed at the faintness in Shuichi’s voice. He pressed his mouth in a firm line, before his gaze softened.
“You’ve got a fever. Of course I’m not going anywhere.”
When he felt two hands carefully push against him and guidehim towards his bed, Shuichi couldn’t help but follow. He had a rough time dealingif he couldn’t do his work, since the thought of being unproductive or lettingothers wait for his help was dreadful. But the worry shining in Kokichi’slavender eyes and that soothing tone he spoke in, those were soconvincing. Maybe that was because Shuichi knew how much it meant. That hint ofhonesty he only gave those he trusted, cared for and loved… Shuichi felt lovedwhen he spoke to him like that.
His back soon came to rest on the mattress with a soft thud.
“What if you catch my cold…?”, Shuichi asked in a hoarsevoice, after which he cleared his throat with a wince. It hurt.
“Ehhh? Does Saihara Shuichi-chan think I could be defeatedby some ugly bacteria? You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Kokichi.”
“Fine, fine. I’m gonna partake in that recovery session ofyours and have all the tea and vitamins that can fit into my body. Geez, it’llbe fine. Stop worrying so much, Shumai!”
“Al… alright. But if you get sick… promise me you’ll let metake care of you, too.”
Kokichi paused for a moment and stared down on him. He wasabout to open his mouth and disagree, before he let out a soft exhale.
“Only if you tell me what tea you want.”
“Peppermint.”
“Jajaaan~! We got ourselves a deal, detective”, Kokichismiled and spun on his heels, ready to stride into the kitchen.
“Kokichi?”
“What?” Though when Shuichi called out to him, he turned toface him once more. A warm, sincere smile played on his lips. One that was sodazzling, it brought a faint tinge of pink to his cheeks.
“Thank you…”

Can I request for the Valentine’s requests the “We can bake cookies! And put heart sprinkles on them.” about OumaSai please ?
☆————☆————☆————☆————☆————☆————☆
🍑 Cute Valentines Starters 🍑 Shipping: Oumasai Word Count: 593 Note: this ended up gayer than expected and I hope that’s okay jhdba thanks again for your patience! @mutsukittylckyouma
Kokichi had wrapped his arms around Shuichi’s waist from behind and bent his body so he could peek past him, at the thick book of recipes the detective was holding. They were skimming through the pages while debating what sugary delight to bake, but there were way too many dishes to choose from. What could possibly make the perfect Valentine’s dessert?
“Hmm… how about chocolate mousse?”
“That’s laaame… and looks like poop. I wanna do checkered cookies, Shuumai!”
“…don’t ever say that again. Anyway, we did these last time, remember? And the time before…”
“Booo… oh? What’s this?”
“Hm?”, this caught Shuichi’s attention, for he paused at the current page. It was a recipe for cookies with lemon icing, though Kokichi had an add-on in mind that convinced him in an instant.
“We can make these instead! And put heart sprinkles on them. Pwetty pwease?”
The thought summoned a bashful smile on Shuichi’s lips and he couldn’t help but nod his head. Cute things were a weakness of his, just like Kokichi was, and the prankster was all too aware. At his agreement, he burst into cheers and finally let go, before he climbed on the counters and started to gather ingredients.
“Don’t fall, ok?”
“I’m a cat, Shuumai. No matter how high, I’m gonna land right on my paws. Like, y’know… nya.”
Shuichi giggled softly and accepted that answer as a yes. The kitchen soon turned into a white mess as Kokichi flung ingredients about and they got into occasional tickle fights while Shuichi mixed together flour, butter, sugar and eggs. Kokichi insisted on preparing the icing, so he expertly cut lemons in half and squeezed them dry. Sour and sweet smells combined in the air as they cut cute shapes from cookie dough that were soon to be painted with lemon icing.
“These are coming out nicely… we did a good job”, Shuichi mused once the first sheet tray of cookies was turning a golden brown in the oven. Kokichi was watching, sitting in front of the clear glass pane, and Shuichi joined him once had had put away his mittens. Warmth that seeped from the oven welcomed him. They were sitting in comfortable silence, watching their work come to fruition.
“…? Ah…” When he glanced at the prankster, he discovered a stray droplet of icing on his face. Without thinking ahead, Shuichi reached out to cup his cheek and carefully brushed the sweetness away. Their eyes met. A long second passed. Words got caught in Shuichi’s throat, before he awkwardly retracted his hand and began to splutter.
“There’s… there was icing on your cheek, s-so…”
“…nishishi.”
Before Shuichi could react, Kokichi had already grasped his hand. Rosy lips wrapped around his thumb. Dragging his tongue over his skin, he took his sweet time to lick it clean. When Kokichi let go of his finger with a wet pop and a satisfied grin on his lips, he knew he had just committed murder. Shuichi’s face was burning hot and all he could utter was a flustered whimper.
“O…Ouma-kuuun…you can’t just… just…”
“Just?”
“D-do that! Don’t surprise me like that!”
“Is that a complaint? If so, I’m never ever gonna do it again!”
“…”
When Kokichi’s eyes sparked with impish glee, Shuichi replied with a frustrated whine. His only saving grace was the hug he received right after. The prankster squeezed him in a tight hold while giggling.
There was a lot of time to kill until all the cookies were done and he wasn’t sure if he was going to survive.

" It's getting crowded. Here, hold my hand" Can I request that one about a platonic interaction of Miu with Ouma or Saihara (Your choice) ? Its fine if you can't do that though, thanks in advance
🌹 Send me a Soft Sentence Starter for a drabble! 🌹Characters: Iruma Miu, Saihara ShuichiWord Count: 666 (you bet)Note: Iruma isn’t on my list of muses. I still wrote this. So now you’re obligated to tell me if I did okay or not hdbfads She’s a softie.
“Ah, it’s getting crowded… here, hold my hand.”
Saihara was going to regret that decision immediately.
An endless stream of passengers crowded the busy streets of Akiba, Tokyo’s heart of electronics that offered any tech you could desire. On a quest to find a very specific object that Iruma hadn’t named, simply described in her roundabout way, they were going to spend hours here searching. The chattering of people and the uncomfortable lack of space were things he disliked. So as to not lose his friend…
“Y-your hand…? Hiyeehhh…” Iruma let out a shuddering exhale as her arms squished her breasts together, her fingers curled in delight and a pink blush crept on her cheeks. Was that a trail of sweat rolling down her…?
“…alright, I take it back.”
“N-now wait just a second! You can’t dump me now, Sobhara!”
As expected. Befuddled, she dropped the act and nervously grasped Saihara’s hand. Out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted her biting her bottom lip, yet he chose not to comment. It was a little embarrassing now that he thought about it, even though he had asked her out of good intentions. They had known each other for a few years and he knew what it was like to lose each other in a crowd. He’d hate to do that to her - both because he knew she’d dislike it and because he wouldn’t hear the last of it.
“…your hand’s sweaty. What are you waiting for, huh? Gorgeous golden brains Iruma Miu- fucking dammit!”
Before she could say anything else, Saihara grimaced and started pulling her along through the crowd. So many voices and moving faces, music buzzing from countless shops and ads ringing in the background. It was uncomfortable and he subconsciously squeezed her hand.
“…”
Iruma’s eyes were fixated on different hard drives as she twirled a strand of strawberry blonde hair around her fingers.
No, he was sure of it. She had squeezed back, just once, instead of commenting on what he did.
Over the time they had spent together, he learned that she was far more delicate than she liked to admit. Saihara had come to appreciate that.
“Is the thing you’re looking for here? I, ah, I can’t find it.”
“…no, it’s not”, she huffed and dropped her hair to point at him, thinking. “Y’know, Sighhara, I didn’t even tell you what this shit’s for, right? Aren’t ya gonna ask? Tch, rude.”
“But I did!”, Saihara blurted out before he had time to think about it. “Wasn’t it to… increase the power of the processor you’re using to-”
“Aha! The power I’m using to pump up the performance of my bursting hot invention, Put-it-in-while-you-sleep, hiyaha! Wow, you remembered… if you make this trip worth my while, there’s gonna be a reward.”
“I-I think I don’t want it, Iruma-san. If it’s not here, then let’s move on.”
She wanted to upgrade her invention that let you study while you’re asleep. It sounded silly when she had first told him about it. But the real reason was far more formidable than he would have initially expected. Iruma definitely was beyond mad, but still a genius.
You don’t get it. A big-boobed genius like me has to work day and night or the world would be in pieces! If you gotta pull an all nighter to get your fucking work done, stop getting your panties in a twist and try it. Ruining your beauty sleep over unhealthy habits is gonna turn you ugly when you hit the twenties, Shithara.
He decided he’d support his friend. The longer they walked through the streets of Akiba, the more comfortable he grew with the warmth in his hand. Saihara gave her another gentle squeeze. When she squeezed back, a shade of pink dusted her cheeks. But the corners of her mouth were curling upward, giddy as it made her. Having a friend to support her in what she’s passionate about, it truly made her happy.
