I was talking abt this with @aboutyoutoo earlier and akösöföd like. it's just crazy to me that crown prince rudolf mania is somehow a constantly reoccurring theme in world history. Like it keeps happening and has been a thing for more than 150 years now akldlskd.

People would have mental breakdowns over him in the 19th century (there's the story about him and the Jewish girl in Prague which was more mutual, but then also just loads of stories of young people stanning him and even stalking him while he was alive, and then of course there's famously what happened to Mary Vetsera, the ultimate Rudolf stan 😭 BUT this kept happening even after he'd died...) but also, by the time the musical comes around, there's waves and waves of people who all independently Catch The Rudolf Bug and also start reading up about the historical guy and obsessing over him (in my travels looking for Old Elisabeth Fan Stuff online i've ran into this happening to different people again and again, in the 90s, in the 00s, in the 10s, in the 20s...). Idk it's so weird aksåspfpspfgl. Like you would think at some point people would start to learn that that way lies madness,,,,, but none of us ever do,,, the cycle repeats again and again......

I saw the movie last night and I’m dying to know what you think!!! Personally I had an amazing time and thought the movie was extremely well done. My inner 10-year-old Mario fangirl was going NUTS (in the best way). I mean, if I could only say one thing about the whole film it’s that everybody from the animators to the voice actors to the orchestra to the scriptwriters not only understood the assignment but got full marks on it.

Also . . . the Mareach moments/hints were PERFECT.

HEYOO‼️ I've been answering private messages since watching the movie wednesday night, but belatedly realized I hadn't made a public post yet. 😭😅 Thanks for asking!

It's- Oh boy. I have thoughts about the movie, folks. Many, many thoughts. 🙇‍♀️ Some of which are related to a few elements I've seen circulating a lot already (and BY THE WAY, just as a heads up, there will be eventual spoilers on my blog now that the movie is officially released 😎), and some that haven't really been mentioned yet, surprisingly enough! 👀

There are a few things in particular that I fully intend on addressing a little more in-depth in future fanart posts, but in the meantime, I'd say I definitely agree with you on the animation and the music especially. 😁🙌✨️ I had a really fun time for the most part, and you can be SURE I'll be talking about the movie a lot as I share more stuff along the way. x3 💯
