Honestly, I am genuinely at a lost as to why some people get so mad and unforgiving over honest mistakes, especially when I mean it when I say I never meant any harm, and will listen and change my behavior if it's not appropriate. I have been in this fandom for a very long time, and I've always tried my best to be nice, and to do better when I can do better. And anyone who takes the time to actually get to know me at all, unlike those people who have honestly been very closed-off from the start, knows that I'm the opposite of an asshole, and that my life motto literally is 'let's be kind and show empathy'.

I swear twitter puts a negativity filter on everyone's brain, they expect the worst of everyone. The fact that they thought I'd sent people after them to 'harass' them, when I wasn't even aware of what was going on until my friend reached out to me to tell me about it, at which point said friend had already gotten involved, just baffles me. I'm a 36 year old adult with bad social anxiety, I live my life hoping to avoid drama or situations in which people will get angry at me in any way. The last thing I would ever think to do is have that kind of vindictive behavior, especially about something I knew I could have handled better. But you can't have conversations with the twitter crowd, you just can't. They will assume the worst of you and that's it.

I haven't been on twitter for a couple weeks now, except to post fic links for my followers who care about them, and honestly, I don't know if I'll be back, not when there are a few people who seem to enjoy scrutinizing the things I do or say.

I still want to do the Anna project because I want her to receive love from her fans, but my anxiety about this is too high at the moment, and my brain a bit too unkind.

Now I am not a romance reader (I have read a few which I LOVE) anyway but I love looking at what's new or what's currently hot in each genre. And suddenly I get surrounded by like 8 girls who are simultaneously going "NO PLS YOU GOTTA READ THIS ILL GIVE MY FIRST BORN IF YOU DO" "it's so good" "you'll cry" "you jaw will be hanging open" blah blah etc etc and help I didn't even know like 3 of them 😭

Coolen Hoover's It Ends With Us. And ngl I am kinda hesitant about romance genre itself but also a little to try books from Katie Roberts, Colleen Hoover, Jenny Han etc. Because I just feel like I will be disappointed and there will be a lot of "oh they're teenagers, they're growing they make stupid mistakes" kinda things idk if I am able to explain it nicely. Just hesitant that I might invest time into a book only to get irritated at tbe actions of the characters. And while I do understand that there won't be any drama if the characters were completely rational and fine, it just gets under my nerves when they make stupid decisions like getting back with someone who cheated on them, parents being useless, doing drugs at parties etc. IK I SOUND LIKE A STUCK UP RN BUT PLS I JUST WANT A BOOK WITH RATIONAL AND NORMAL PEOPLE. anyway point is I was like ??? Is this a cult ??? Anyway I ended up getting the book because well they were like "we'll pay for it !!" And how can I say no to my bestie spending money 🤨🤨 true friendship right there.

Now I’ll be real honest with you. I’d give it ends with us a 7.5/10 and not really recommend it for someone like you who’s really busy and looking for a 11/10 experience, without any disappointments. I read the book when I was 16 y/o and I remember finding it so touching and good but when I reread the book again once I turned 18, I realized there are so many things wrong with that book? So many mistakes and messed up situations and most importantly, so many triggering themes with no warnings like- childhood trauma, death of a loved one, abusive parents, rape etc. etc. it’s a real bad buzz if you have any one of these traumas as it might inflict unwanted pain inside your heart for no reason. On the other hand, I’d really suggest you “twisted love.” It’s an adult romance book, it’s for mature adult readers, has twists and smut too, friendships, family and it’s really an ♾️/10 for me. :’) <3 and about your Recs??! I’d definitely check them out baby I’m a big bookaholic!

I think something that a lot of people in this fandom seem to misunderstand about WWX's conflicts with LWJ in his first life (regarding his use of guidao) is that it could not have been resolved if LWJ had just ~talked about his feelings~ - ie, made it clear to WWX that his concern was primarily for his wellbeing, because LWJ cared for him.

Setting aside for now the fact the LWJ had very good reasons not to speak more openly about his feelings (towards WWX), and in Ch.62 never indicated to WWX that he wanted to punish him, and stated very clearly that he did not want to denounce him.

WWX's response would not have changed. He would still find LWJ's belief that he could lose control just as offensive, he would still be set in his view that guidao is the only option available to him, and still have no interest in explaining to LWJ why that is, nor be interested in exploring some other option. Primarily because WWX knows there isn't one, but also because (and I think this is something this fandom struggles with) WWX is proud of his cultivation. True, it is not the path he would have chosen, but it is the path he's on and he is not, and refuses to be, ashamed of that.

There's also the issue that due to WWX's (lack of) understanding of his own sexuality at this point in his life, LWJ revealing his romantic feelings for WWX would definitely not have helped. Taking into account some feedback loop of comphet & JC's homophobia, it might even worsen their relationship. Regardless, WWX definitely isn't going to suddenly realise & understand his own feelings just because LWJ revealed his. Even if he did, WWX's position would not change.

Hopping back to my previous point about LWJ having good reasons not to speak more plainly, I do think LWJ understands that too. He of course does not have a complete insight into the situation, but he does understand that 1. WWX is not interested in men (as he told him in Xuanwu Cave), 2. WWX stated very clearly that he is willing and able to pay whatever consequences guidao has for him, 3. WWX responds to LWJ's pushing by communicating to him that he considers him an outsider, that WWX's personal matters are not his business.

Of course, LWJ making it clear that he cares for WWX does not necessitate revealing that his feelings are romantic, but 'I wanna be fwends now' is a pretty weak position for him to take, and isn't gonna convince WWX any more than anything else is.

And it's not as if post-BM WWX is suddenly disinterested in LWJ—he still pursues his attentions just as desperately as before. This isn't a WWX who's had enough of LWJ saying they're not familiar & has finally given up on the idea of friendship with him—we can see from WWX's later actions (throughout Phoenix Mt hunt, in Yunmeng, in Yiling) that this is not true. The crux of the matter is, regardless of any level of familiarity between them, WWX is entirely assured in what he's doing and is not interested in— either out of genuine desire or just to indulge LWJ—exploring any alternative to using guidao. Even in his second life once him & LWJ are close, WWX is not interested in confiding in him about his golden core or his reasons for turning to guidao. There were many opportunities once he got Suibian back, WWX continues to keep these things to himself.

Sure, LWJ could have handled that situation more tactfully, but doing so would not have actually changed anything, WWX and LWJ were at odds over this not because of some miscommunication, but because they held fundamentally different positions at this time, that could not be reconciled.

so the least drama route(and also the one that’s most prone to comedy, and the one i usually use for this sortve prompt) is geralt being some combination of ridiculously accommodating and sortve unobservant. like usually you would see your recently married to you husband off kissing other people, and never making a move on you, and realize something is deeply amiss. perhaps you would even be sad about it. but geralt, who has been mostly only in casual nonexclusive relationships, looks at it happening and goes “oh ok so he wants to be married to me but he’s not interested in sex with me, but he still has it with other people. hmm. this is a way a relationship can be, i guess. and all i wanted was him so this is fine, i’ll just deal with it,” which IS fine but really only after you have a conversation about it! otherwise it’s kind of. a fucked up thing to just Do to someone. but it doesnt register at all in geralt’s brain he’s just like oh ok this is just what to expect from marriage for me. ok. and rolls with it. and when jaskier finally realizes theyre married, and questions geralt’s logic, and gets this explanation, he’s blown away because he’s like 1) if i knew we were married i wouldve kissed you every day and never let you out of bed, but also 2) you?? you want me for me???? we could just never have sex and you wouldnt be mad at me? 🥺 its literally my personality and my presence you love omg.....

anything else results in geralt acting Different throughout the years, sometimes becoming despondent, maybe even occasionally going in for a kiss that seemingly gets rebuffed, and spending a lot of nights laying there very happy he has a husband he loves, but also deeply confused and sad that his husband doesnt seem to care back. maybe he even comes to expect it in a much more depressing way, where he gets to share his life but not intimacy with the person he loves, and just has to get used to the smell of other lovers on him, since he doesnt seem inclined to start a conversation about jaskier cheating on him. the key factor is sortve blissful ignorance, and this lack of communication isnt really blissful at all. so this one’s reserved for other prompts usually.

Hey, um I had things to say before reading today's update which just blew my mind away. Again. I can't believe how much I loved that it was all dialogue, I mean I can see them and hear them say the things they say so clearly in my head. It's just such a pleasure to read, every chapter has done that, but now that it was all dialogue, it came across even more strongly.

If last chapter I wanted to grab Sue by the shoulders and shake her trying to knock some sense into her head, this chapter I wanted to do that with Emily. Like starting with Emily asking so many times if Sue has other plans for Valentine's weekend. Wanting Sue to come there and spend time together. Not telling her about Catherine and kind of ditching her at the party. It's like their roles got reversed there for a moment. That thing with hi and then proceeds to have sex, why is this so adorable, like oh my God. Emily - a massive commitment-phobe, there are so many lines like this one that just are killer lines. Like it's all right there written for us to read, there is not much more to say, it's all said there. But Sue not! sleeping! with! anyone else!!! Since they started doing this thing, and being I can't tell you what I want but please hear me please see me. And like is there anything more romantic than that?? No idea what's going though Emily's head, but it felt like a gut punch and she's too going through it, but damn. Just damn. Sue cuddling after sex, Emily dumbly - I'll get the comforter, the subtle way of asking have you slept with anyone else. Seriously you killed me.

Did I mention the dialogue is exceptional?? I'm sorry I wanted to make more sense but that's the best I can do rn. I love that we get to see this side of Sue.
