Story:

Naillih is an angel dog hybrid, they despise demons and sinners alike, Naillih aspasely despise Hillian for how similar they are in looks and name and have tried to "get rid" of Hillian on many occasions not only because they hate him but also because they want to earn their halo, angels earn their halo by doing an act that the creator (not me) think is worthy of a gift (halo) but no one knows what that act is, so Naillih assume killing a demon would make it so they're able to earn their halo

i don’t know what to say. i don’t know whether to feel like she’s truly looking into my soul, reading me, or if she’s just finding this whole situation entertaining. the fact i look sad. the fact she can tell that i’ve lost someone— multiple people. it can either be a threat, the fact that she knows all of this, or a simple mutual understanding.

and it seems like the latter: ‘i’ve lost people too’.

maybe i feel seen. for once in my life. and i know this isn’t an incredible feeling but it’s better than anything else i could expect, even if it is particularly peculiar.

“how did you feel?” i’m asking about her emotions. i would expect sadness, anger, grief, and every other emotion under the sun that wasn’t happiness. that’s exactly how i felt. how i still feel.
