If you can't draw everything you want too THATS OKAY!! ITS JUST FOR FUN!! If you want too, you can still draw characters and stuff after the fight as Gift art! Most people still would love to see/receive anything of their beans!

If you feel yourself getting stressed or burnt out: TAKE A BREAK!!! Again: It's for fun and should not cause your strife! We'll all still be here all month. Draw what you wanna draw! And draw only the amount you want too!!

Take your time buddy, remember to pace yourself. There's no rush.

I feel like we don’t have enough PSAs about this. Some of us work full time. Some of us are deep into our masters degree. Some of us have families.

And that is okay.

No one is expected to make this a full time effort. No one has to respond in five minutes. Muse is as finicky as can be and effort should not feel like a mountain.

Didn’t respond to me in five days? Don’t worry. Disappear for a month? You’re okay. Our threads will be there.

Please don’t ever feel like there’s a fire under your ass. Enjoy writing. But enjoy your life more.

Reminder: This is still the first week of a new patch. Please be kind to others in your dungeon/trial/raid groups!

I really wish I didn’t have to write this post, but I feel compelled to after what I have heard from my friend not too long ago.

I was not there to witness it, but I heard from a good friend of mine that went as a DPS and was attempting the new Arcadion raids this evening. She was specifically in M7N, and she unfortunately was having a hard time with the mechanics and was dying a lot. She then said that there were two party members laughing at her and belittling her for not “keeping up” and “we need to just kick her”, etc. She did blacklist them, but she was distraught and she almost gave up completing this raid tier altogether.

Not that it should matter because the point of all this still stands regardless of the outcome, but the group ended up abandoning the raid because everyone kept wiping multiple times. Yeah, you heard me correctly. She was NOT the only one dying! EVERYONE was struggling to clear it!

So what I’m trying to say here is that this is still the first week of a new patch. Actually, today is only the SECOND DAY since this content went live! She and most likely most of the other party members were still doing the raid for the first time! The fact that there’s such toxicity where people are expecting others to know these mechanics on the second day boggles my mind, and it infuriates me to no end.

Here’s the takeaway: please remember to be kind to others in your groups, especially when they are new to the content and everyone is still trying to learn. This week especially is when a lot of the more casual players go through the content, including the normal difficulty raid content for the first time. And they should not be harassed when they are trying to learn the mechanics.

If you are a more hardcore player, I think this may apply even more so. The savage difficulty will come out next week, but this week is not just for other hardcore players, but there will be many casual players in your groups. Please be kind, and if you know the mechanics and others seem to be struggling, how about helping them out a little, perhaps try explaining the mechanics or offer some suggestions that might help you all clear the fight, instead of belittling others and making them feel bad for not knowing the mechanics the first time running the content.

tldr; Be kind. Don’t be an asshole.

Do you want them to have a happy ending even though they canonically died with a bad ending? Do it. Do you want to give them a unique backstory / personality that’s completely different from canon? Do it.

Do what makes you feel happy. Canon divergence is a blessing in disguise, really, your canon muse basically turns into your OC with this simple trick. And if you’re worried no one is going to support you by changing the canon, I will. I will cheer your headcanons, I will cheer your AUs and ideas, I will go batshit insane over your lore.

Like, for real, this is super important. Not only is it polite and serves as an introduction to the character you're interacting with, it's also essential for a safe and healthy rp environment.

While this isn't always the case, pinned posts will often include vital information about not just the character, but the person playing them as well. This can include their personal rules for their blog, whether they're okay with suggestive or nsfw content, whether they're a minor or an adult, and other information that should be taken into account while Roleplaying. And it's not just about respecting the other person's boundaries (though that is super important), this goes both ways. Reading someone's pinned post can help you figure out if you want to interact with them. Oftentimes pinned posts will include a list of potentially triggering subjects that might crop up in rp with them.

So please read people's pinned posts. It'll only take a minute and it could save everyone a lot of hardship down the line. Thank you for reading.

hi everyone!! i want to thank you all for your patience as i've been really slow so far this year to get moving on both plotting & writing. i want to give a little bit of an update on my life, since work has been a large part of why i have had so little energy to dedicate to replying to everyone.

i have been made junior partner at my work, which means that i am now a partial business owner! this is a huge step up for me, since it's a company that i am extremely passionate about and dedicated to, but also means that my paycheck is more or less determined by my ability to help keep the business thriving. this is going to mean a lot more work hours for me and a big shift as i learn to adjust to this new schedule with possibly even a pay cut at first. my goal for the rpc is to continue plotting & writing with everyone that i follow, though i will continue to be slow to do so. currently i require plotting before i start new threads with anyone. the best way to make this happen is to like my plotting calls and/or fill out my interest tracker, or if this really doesn't work for you then my first meeting starter call.

i also work a lot through discord, which sometimes means that either i am online but unable to get distracted by incoming messages, or don't have the energy to look at the app anymore at the end of the day. even if it can take me a month to get around to certain messages, i am not ignoring them and am just waiting to get up the energy to give a reply the attention and energy that it deserves. because i want to be able to give my all to everyone here.

please don't ever take my slowness in reaching out, replying to messages, or answering memes, starters, or continuing threads as disinterest. i have lots of interest—i just have very little time. once again, thank you everyone for your patience and for your continued energy & interest.

Alright, gather ‘round, gremlins and goblins, because Trash Dad’s pulling the minivan over and we’re gonna have a real loud talk about manners on the internet — specifically, your inability to read a damn blog description before flailing into someone’s inbox like a feral raccoon in a recycling bin.

Rule #1:

If someone puts content warnings, shipping preferences, fandom tags, or literal neon-lit disclaimers on their blog and you STILL come whining like, “ummm this makes me uncomfy,” then congratulations — you played yourself.

You were warned. You were guided. You had every signpost telling you “Hey, maybe don’t go poking around here if this ain’t your scene,” and you decided to march in anyway like you were entitled to rearrange someone else’s sandbox. Spoiler alert: you’re not.

Rule #2:

People can ship what they want. People can write what they want. It is not your business.

Don’t like it? That’s cool. Use the magical tools at your disposal:

Scroll. Mute. Block. Leave.

But don’t you dare vague, subtweet, or passive-aggressively try to guilt someone into censoring themselves on their space because you can’t handle seeing a tag you disagree with.

Rule #3:

This is a customizable, adult space. Not preschool. You don’t get gold stars for tone policing or moral grandstanding. We write here to explore, to create, to get unhinged and sometimes deeply messy. If that rattles your pearl-clutching sensibilities, then maybe go knit a Tumblr cozy and chill out somewhere quieter.

Look, Trash Dad gets it — some content just ain’t for you. That’s normal. That’s human. But how you react to it? That’s where your character shows. So either be an adult and curate your space, or go play in traffic on MySpace (not in real life we DON’T want that).

Mind your damn business. Read the blog. Respect boundaries. And for the love of whatever gods are left, stop trying to make everyone write like they’re a character in a Disney channel original.
