Luca removed his bag from his locker and discreetly began removing the contents of his locker piece by piece so no one would notice, sighing softly as he jammed a few pictures into one of the pockets before zipping up the pocket. In a few weeks he would be gone and no one would know where he would end up because truthfully, he didn't know where he would end up. And since he was off the next day, he was planning on going home and getting shit faced drunk. Do drunk that he wouldn't be able to walk, talk or even think.

Wren curled up on the couch, wrapped in one of Luca's hoodies that still smelled like him, her fingers absently tracing the outline of her mug of tea. She smiled to herself, glancing out the window as the rain softly pattered against the glass, knowing he’d be home soon. She picked up her phone, typing out a quick message to him.

“Hey, tough guy 💙 I know you’ve had a long day, so I’m ordering pizza for when you get home. Oh, and I’m officially declaring tonight a no-plans, cuddle-only zone. SWAT can wait, but I can’t 😉 Hurry home!”

She hit send, setting her phone aside, already imagining how good it would feel to sink into his arms after another long shift.

Quick heads-up. This quote?

It's not from George Lucas.

The person who originally posted it online attributed the source to Lucas' interview with Bill Moyers in "The Power of Myth". But it isn't mentioned in that.

John C. McDowell used the quote in an essay of his that was published on The Third Way in 2007, and his reference was his own book "The Gospel According to ‘Star Wars’: Faith, Hope and the Force". If you look at that one, he references something called "Power of the Force" from 2001.

No such interview or publication had come out under that name, that year. There was a book called "The Power of the Force: Spirituality of the Star Wars Films" published in 2000, written by David Wilkinson. So maybe McDowell was referencing that? But I don't have the book and can't find a digital copy online.

That said, if you look up parts of the quote you find a similar quote in "The Films of Akira Kurosawa" by Donald Ritchie, the earliest edition of which dates back to 1965, in the description of the Kurosawa movie "Drunken Angel".

So yeah, no. Probably not from Lucas. I'm 99% sure.

HOWEVER

Lucas did compare the Sith's relationship and their (and the other SW villains') selfish ways to a cancer.

At the end of the day, Star Wars remains about selfishness vs selflessness, a theme partially illustrated by:

the symbiotic relationships between Jedi Masters and Padawans, who help each other grow, inspired by Buddhist monks...

contrasted with

the "cancerous" relationship between Sith Lord and Apprentice, who keep using each other until one finally kills the other.

Lucas and Max healing together after the events of Season 4, him never leaving her hospital bedside once.

Both of them suffering from nightmares but being there to comfort each other, the two of them gradually getting closer and closer again until they can’t ignore their feelings anymore and Max allows herself to let him in.

Lucas being there to support Max as she continues to recover from her injuries, there to catch her whenever her legs give out at the skatepark or offering her a piggyback when her aching joints get too much to bear.

Max realising that Lucas isn’t like any other man in her life— he doesn’t let her down, doesn’t hurt her.. he just cares.

My Rayman's considering sporting the Ramon hairstyle full time so his son can tell him and his brother apart. Raymona does a pretty good job at telling them apart despite the identical appearances.

Plot - Luca has returned home to find his wife in bed with another man and during a confrontation with her, she's lashed out and injured him (isn't the first time) and demanding a divorce and reveals that their expected child isn't his. But the female coming to his rescue, he ends up putting the moves on her.

Luca had found himself in a bar, sporting a busted lip and a black eye as he held the glass of ice to his head and finished another beer. He could smell her perfume as soon as she walked into the bar and it got stronger as she drew closer, not even bothering to look up at her. "This you coming to say i told you so?"

Knowing Luca was going to be coming back in today made her nervous. She wasn’t convinced he was ready. Not only that, but it meant their relationship was going back in secret. She had enjoyed a week where there was no hiding. Wren glanced up from her desk when the team came in, standing up to show Hondo her progress. Her eyes glanced at her boyfriend, giving a polite smile as if he was only a coworker. “First day back, Officer Luca. You must be relieved.”
