I just love how teenager-y they all are in this season, especially Wille and Simon. Yes, they are bitchy and secretive and impulsive about their feelings but that's such a realistic depiction of teenagers because teenagers sometimes mess up in the wildest ways and IT'S SO REAL.
Like Simon hitting Wille with a ball

What issues did you have with Lion Guard’s Final season?
I disclosed them in a separate post but to recap those points; it basically goes against everything the show has established itself upon in the first and second season, retconning word-building, characters, development, morals, lessons, and other elements of the show's DNA, all for the sake of its central story, rather than progressing with the overall story. It feels more like a softcore revamp than a final season (hence why I've often compared it to Bunk'd in terms of quality, or lackthereof) Which is why for me personally, a lot of Season 1-2 episodes that I enjoy (pilot included) are retroactively spoiled because of Season 3's writing (i.e. Janja's poorly paced redemption arc, or Bunga's character assassination, or the final episode proving the villains of one of the earlier episodes in the right). It's frankly a mess. Whether this was done out of last minute rewrites, or as an attempt to be fanservice, or if this weird writing was the plan since day 1, I'll never know, but it doesn't earn much kindness from me.
If I were to bring anything new to the table, I'd say that another ounce of beef I have with Season 3 is with its release. Someone at Disney Jr. apparently thought that it was a smart idea to release every episode of the final season online within a full month, before any of the episodes (sans Battle for the Pride Lands) released on television. The show's advertising directed viewers (both in and out of the show's target demographic) to DisneyNow or watchtlg.netify to see the new episodes. Because of this, I (and I assume many others) watched the new episodes online and called it a day with the show. Barely anyone saw the final episodes when they aired, and because of that, the already stunted viewership of the show had taken a final devastating crash-drive. The show did poorly with reruns and eventually was pulled out of its timeslot almost two months later.
So yeah, Season 3 is just bad in almost every regard. lmao.

Strong feelings right now about a lot of things and I'm simply not going to talk openly about most of them at the moment because I don't have the capacity to do so in a way that feels safe and helpful for me.
But here's what I will say.
As both a mental health care provider responsible for the process of diagnosis and a patient of mental health care providers, can I just emphasize that the first time your patient finds out a diagnosis has been added to their record should never ever be because they looked at their portal after the appointment concluded.
I had a psych session with a new provider (this info is critical because this man has interacted with me for all of 45 minutes total) and at no point during our session did he give me ANY indication that he intended to alter my diagnostic profile or adjust my treatment plan.
Nonetheless, he did so. With an extremely stigmatized diagnosis that has a high risk of doing harm to me in a medical setting.
This is irresponsible for a number of reasons. The first is simply that if he had told me he was considering the possibility we could have discussed it and I could have provided additional context that might (would) have indicated a differential diagnosis. At minimum I would have had warning that I might need to prep for or even contest the diagnosis. The second irresponsible aspect is that I have an extensive history of medical trauma which HE WOULD KNOW if he'd spoken to the intake provider or the therapist who I work with at the practice, both of whom have met with me for longer than he has. And by issuing me this diagnosis he has just increased my risk for further medical trauma while upholding my PTSD diagnosis and being fully aware my PTSD is severe enough I am housebound without a service dog at present.
I meet with my therapist today and license wise she doesn't have the capacity to overturn what he's done but she can help advocate for me, so that's what I'm going to have to hope for. But either way I'm frustrated. Because UNDOING a diagnosis is SO MUCH WORSE than preventing it from going on a record unnecessarily in the first place. It's not even like he had no other diagnosis to treat me under. He could easily have included in his documentation that he wanted to continue to assess for the possibility of it without including it as a diagnosed and confirmed conclusion.
Diagnosis isn't a fucking joke. And we shouldn't be passing them out, particularly stigmatized ones, without an adequate conversation with the patient about where it's coming from and why it's happening. In my case, I am exceptionally confident the diagnosis is wrong. But even if it weren't, I deserved to be told to my face and not to find out after the fact through my diagnostic chart on the portal. That's cowardly and unethical, and frankly I have very little respect for a clinician who does it.

i will Never stop thinking about a potential cryptrev au/fic in the style of Venom where (because crypto has such a heavy body mods due to his neuro link) something happens. idk what. but revenant somehow manages to upload himself basically into cryptos head and now they just share that space :)
i can see that in a situation where they're already working together and he just knows crypto inside and out enough that it's just the Automatic response his programming follows to preserve itself. or a freak accident bcuz torres silva does not know wtf he is dealing with
they could wreak so much havoc. get so much done when it comes to the syndicate/hammond because not only are they more inconspicuous when revenant's just hiding away in a random human's body, but they'd be basically neural linked. like a pilot and titan bond but Worse and if yr titan was like a demon rampaging inside your head. their thoughts get intertwined, planning together gets infinitely easier when it's all happening in yr own head, and crypto might even get confused what his own thoughts are anymore
and also depending on whether or not they already have a dynamic and what kind of dynamic, revenant could torment crypto so much lmfao. revenant could drive him to do the Worst things
