a conducting wire or thread with a high melting point, forming part of an electric bulb or vacuum tube and heated or made incandescent by an electric current.
I wanted to do something low brain-y today, so I slapped some cd project red art on my witcher books :) (this is underside of the books, maybe for the back something with Ciri and the top another thing? I like the thought that it's like a journey..)
Also 💖 for @damatris who gifted me those, thank youu 🥺
Imagine Mabel bringing up that one karaoke zombie episode while trying to catch up Ford on all the stuff that's happened so far and Ford just freezes...
Can I just say the growth in both Yona's and Hak's responses to being betrayed by someone they hold dear is astronomical?
Yona, who responded to the death of her father by Soo-won's hands by entering a catatonic state, unable to do anything and could only deny what was happening. And Hak, who responded in violence and outrage that he held onto so tightly for so long, he is still dealing with the ramifications of it.
Now with Zeno, Yona responded with clarity. She was angry ("Don't lie and answer me"), but she was level headed and sought to understand. Hak almost succumbed to emotion, but he remained steadfast, drawing from Yona's strength rather than falling into old rhythms by immediately trying to shield her from harm.
And then when Zeno tried to walk away, they immediately pursued him and wrapped their arms around him, despite this unforgivable betrayal, and refused to let him discard them.
Achilles was fated to die after Patroclus. He tore at his hair and screamed loud enough for the ocean gods to hear him upon learning the news. The man who came to him as a messenger held Achilles' hands in fear that he would use a blade on himself after being told that his heart's companion was dead.
Achilles was never meant to live long after Patroclus' death. And so Will tipped both himself and Hannibal over the cliff to save Hannibal the trouble.
Thinking about characters struggling with vulnerability and submission in their relationships to the point where showing it creates genuine distress. In all dynamics honestly. Omegas who strongly oppose the submissive nature that's been pushed onto them all their lives. Alphas who have been consistently shamed for having a softer nature who've been taught that submission to others is an unbecoming form of weakness. Betas who are uncomfortable being vulnerable bc society taught them that feeling anything at all was too much at it's more acceptable to be emotionless and selfless. Learning to accept and manage the difficult feelings that come from vulnerability because it is a key part of intimacy. I need to lay down for several hours
