i love connor so much like omg. me and my cousins played the game very pacifist and got a pretty good ending (only simon and luther died :(( but the rebellion succeeded and kara and alive r safe!! and connor deviated) but just like. i will forever think about hank and connor. i just know connor has so much guilt from everything he did to work against the deviants, but also like !!! he doesn’t have a mission anymore and he doesn’t know who he is . like thinking about how u can pre construct attack options as a game mechanic - he totally does that whenever he panics bc he’s trying to be soft and shit. also . touchstarved. 100%. i just. sigh. man i love characters that lose everything that they called their identity and they have to build themself a new one and it’s terrifying and they don’t know how. i love when characters who aren’t human learn humanity from themself and other around them and the love . like. he isn’t human but he’s alive. he wants to live, he just doesn’t know how. gah . that’s what bank is there for ^_^ i love them sm

But luckily the jatp fandom is incredibly creative and so you can find a bunch of reunion fanfics on ao3. I can also definetly recommend everything that @pawprinterfanfic has written, it's soooo good!!!!!! (If you do want to read some fanfics. I can also give you more recommendations but that could take a while)

I think the V2 rematch is my favorite boss in any video game. Not knowing what awaits you as you dash through the pyramid. The wham moment of "CLAIR DE SOLEIL" appearing on screen with V2's guitar riff. Them standing up to crack their knuckles as you approach, eager to give you a taste of all the techniques you've developed on your dive through hell. "You're not getting away this time." You can even make them mad by punching them with their own fist.

I find it funny how I went in for a fun sarcastic view on the world and went out with the courage to… just exist. Because that’s what Dan (and Phil)’s content gave all of us. A place to laugh at the stupidity of the world but also give us hope with meaningful content and beautiful people.

I just hope that we are giving you even a fraction of that hope and joy with your shows that you gave us, and have been giving us for the past decade or so.

Life is terrible and beautiful and full of doom and gloom and hope and joy and it’s all incredible.

See, if the pacing wasn't so insanely sped up, I may have more to say. Considering the source material Its clear they had to shove so much into every second they could. Like this is the first show I've had to pause every 10 seconds so I could digest what was happening. It was annoying. But besides that, if this was a full fleshed out series with seasons and such, I could potentially see it be the next big great series people adore and talk about. What realllly sold me was how interesting every character was. I mean EVERY character. Which I can't say often. The way David and Maine went out pissed me off, esp. considering they both had a chance to turn back and slow down before it was too late. I'm not a fan of irrational characters, but despite that, their deaths did move me, so kudos on the writers there. I think what reallllllly brought it all home was seeing how devastated Lucy looked when she finally reached the moon. Realizing her dream wasn't to go to the moon, but to go to the moon with David. How your dreams don't mean a thing when you don't have the people you care about around. How much TRAUMA these niggas had to go through, not to even survive, but to find some kind of meaning in all of it. This show is realllllllly fucking depressing when you peel back the layers. Just really wish they had more time with it. Overall I give this lil 5 hour sit down a solid ole [DECENT]
