I’ve found a subtle parallel between your characters and something that my brain is riddled with:
In my Pokémon obsessed brain I can’t help but be reminded of Furfrou and dachsbun. The resemblance is extremely subtle, but I had to point this out.

No, I can definitely see what you mean.

The way this whole scene was so sweet and validating and just everything from a characterization and relationship standpoint. Rayla, being prepared to leave the Starscraper without even asking about the quasar diamonds, being so hesitant and overwhelmed to even reach for or grasp at something she Wants, and Callum being so steady and patient and loving. Placing his hand over hers and guiding her hand to the diamonds. It's okay to want things. It's okay to have what you want. It's okay to take them.
His encouraging little nod, the way he gives space so that she can hold them, the way Rayla repeats "You knew," as she re-contextualizes his previous behaviour—staying up all night figuring out the spell, wanting to go on the quest in the first place to a degree, being incredibly frustrated when he couldn't figure out the rune spell at first—with new clarity that it was for her.

The way Callum says what we've always seen and known out loud, but so gently and with so much love. He knows her, knows her so well, her selfless heart and kind nature and how routinely she puts herself second, that she would've refused to go if she knew it would benefit her. She never does anything for herself, and Callum would do anything for her, my beloved. Including and up to why she left and how they're moving forward since.

And Rayla once again being shocked and a little overwhelmed (same girl) that anyone could or would love her this much this well. It's okay to want things, and I will do everything in my power to give you chances to have them. I'll give you everything you want and deserve if you just let me.

Callum thinking she really might even be slightly mad because she agreed to saving people without the full context (that it'd also let her save her family) but of course Rayla just hugs him with gratefulness and love, finally smiling now that the shock and overwhelm of it all has processed.
And if I cry every time what then?

Thinking about how well the stars aligned so that when the WGA strike ended OFMD came out and almost the entire Good Omens fandom is now too distracted with that to bother Neil who can write s3 in peace. The universe is finally on our side.

The SV characters are written as such realistic teenagers that headcanoning their ages even a few years apart makes for such hilarious dynamics. I always defaulted to putting all of them at around 15-16 but playing around with ages and how it might impact their dyanmics is so fun AND funny
The idea of a really traumatized 19 year old Arven hanging out with a bunch of 15 year old girls is actually a genuinely hysterical concept to me. All these high school sophomores are just hyping the fuck out of this loser boy they picked up off the side of the road. He's part of the girlies now. He's their special little guy. He's the only one of them who can legally drive or buy lottery tickets so he's practically a god to them and they treat him exactly like they would any other 15 year old girl
Nemona being older already kinda slots her into a mentor-esque position and I think it's really fun to explore how her dynamic with Geeta intersects with her dynamic with the protagonist, and how the person that Nemona tries to guide ends up surpassing her and becoming a worthy rival. Also her and Arven being the older teens looking at the protagonist meeting the "formidable boss of team star" who turns out to just be this really rude 14 year old is really really good
Having the protagonist themselves be the youngest of the group, especially if it's by a few years, is another one of my favorite concepts, because all these older teens being so desperate for help and attention that they see a random freshman and are like YOU is really good. Also with the eventual realization of Oh My God the person helping me out with all this heavy stuff is so young what am I doing.
On the flip side, adult protagonists are not taken advantage of as a possibility in this game. The academy has adult students and also Clive exists so it isn't out of the realm of canonicity. It's extremely possible that Arven is like "hey little buddy can you help me find Herba Mystica" to a 45 year old office worker who is going back to school during his sabbatical. A fully grown man can just be adopted into this gaggle of emotionally unstable teenagers. They don't discriminate
Just generally speaking, these tiny tweaks can put some incredibly fun twists on character dynamics and I think it's really cool when people play around with the concept more

I forgot that Scully's sister is also played by an absurdly pretty woman. Luckiest bloodline in all of television.

Redfeather nodded. “I like you, but you’re still trying to be the person they’ll welcome back home. You’re a Ghost. You can’t be that elf ever again. You have to decide who you are going to be instead. So—who are you?” Rayla balked at her. It was an awful question. She wasn’t an assassin, she wasn’t an elf of the Silvergrove, she wasn’t anything at all, she was just—“Rayla.” That voice again. Rayla pushed away, trying to focus on Redfeather. “I’m—” “—selfless, strong, and caring—” He persisted, as he always did, and his voice took her far, far away. She could still see it: the stars of the desert gleaming above her and in his eyes. “—that’s what makes her a hero. That’s what makes her—” “Rayla,” she said, meeting Redfeather’s gaze. “My name is Rayla. And I’m going home.”

However, Rayla kills Viren in the most Rayla-y of ways, as she does so without her assassin blades, while acting as the Last Dragonguard, and in a way that means killing Viren is not just an act of protection or revenge, but also something that meant sacrificing (killing) herself. This is important regarding her and Callum in regards to the possession plot line. As long as Callum is Callum (not possessed, or she has reason to believe he’s still in there), Rayla likely won’t be able to bring herself to kill him. This is from an emotional / characterization standpoint, of course, but from a thematic standpoint, we can see where it stems from Callum and Rayla continually being each other’s main connection to their sense of identity. As long as Callum is Callum (“you’re the destiny is a book you write yourself guy”), he’s worth saving. As long as Callum is Callum, she can be Rayla (“Rayla’s brave. She saves people” / “Rayla. My name is Rayla, and I’m going home”). As long as she’s Rayla, he can be Callum. Because if Callum isn’t Callum, then he’s dead, and if he’s dead, she can kill him. And if Rayla kills him, if Callum is dead, then she won’t be Rayla anymore. Because to literally kill Callum would be to simultaneously symbolically/emotionally kill herself. And in saving him as Callum, she preserves herself as Rayla, too.
