Looks the FoureverYou Project started to film (finally). I still can't find any info on who wrote the script or who is directing it. It's produced by Studio Wabi Sabi. Does that mean I can just assume it's New Siwaj that is directing this? If anyone has any info please let me know.
The social media pages are not being kept up to date (instagram doesn't have any picture of filming).
I miss cooheart so bad I will take this, and I do want to see him and Pond together. But damn do I not have any faith at all.
Is this going to be another We Are look like??? Like there is nothing wrong with fluffy no plot just vibes middle of the week bls. I am happy so many people on my dash are enjoying it. I love watching you guys enjoy it. But between this and Project 10 liners that appear to be going to same direction, I am a little worried.
If they are wasting Earth and Pond great acting skills for a no plot just vibes and dudes being dudes fluffy university bl, I will be pissed.
From the info I could find of the books there were very interesting concepts and ideas there. They could do so much with all of them. And I am starting to fear we will just get nothing.
MDL says it will have 16 episodes, and all the four couples are in the same faculty.
Tagging a few people:
@blmpff @mysterygrl20 >> Because you guys are usually the ones that posts this stuff.
@heretherebedork > It doesn't look like they are going the anthology route like you first thought when the pilot tralier thing released. Unleass it's like 4 episodes each?
always impressed and a little scared by people who can know whether they like an album after listening to it just once. for me the first 3-4 listens just sound like a confusing mix of random noises until either it clicks and becomes the best music ever made or i realise idgaf
i guess karma isn't real guys, cause pond's cheeks are indeed not swollen post wisdom tooth operation. made fun of chen two months ago and got away with it smh /lh
Harry's secret visit to women's only Hampstead Ladies Pond
This is the most Harry thing to do - go to the Ladies Only Pond with his favorite mug and some breakfast food to share. Did the mug have a pun on it? Did he tell everyone he used to be a baker? What did he make? I love that this is what he wanted to do with his time - swim and potluck with the ladies.
"Swimmers at the Hampstead Ladies’ Pond were thrilled to find a surprise guest at their breakfast on Sunday: superstar Harry Styles.
The singer popped down secretly from his home nearby for breakfast and a quick dip. The event, a “Shared Breakfast at the Ladies Pond”, was offering free drinks and croissants, but asked guests to bring their own mug, as well as food to share. The ladies pond is not usually open to men, though Harry’s a very special case." Evening Standard, Oct 11 2023
To be fair, the pond was open to men for the day, but I prefer the wording that Harry's a special case and is one of the girls.
I think I mentioned a while back I'd post nibling frog momence after the gift's done given. which happened on the 2nd this month I just forgot lmao. anyways we can do it now. I used the boigameista pattern scaled up to four pieces of A4 print paper and decided to double deck it to a two layer thing, not unlike a pillow, for ease of washin. because it was gonna be gifted to a one year old child
took a long time and made a number of mistakes bc hand sewing makes me worse as a person but this guy was done in time for the birthday occasion and that's what matters. chose non-fuzzy fabrics for it because we live in a dense city in the tropics and from personal experience if I hug something made of fur I would explode. the original plan included felt patterns on its back for bonus textures for baby but that wouldn't stretch well along with the rest of the thing so had to hold that back. eventually we got this
zipper across its ass, the coat type of zipper bc I miscalculated when ordering. but it did have a shape and that's all that matters to me. will be a fun game for the baby to grow up and be severely misinformed about what a frog looks like
You know I think it's really funny that I hate Time travel AUs in fanfic and I don't tend to like writing it in original fic...and I just wrote 269k of a giant Doctor Who AU. And I'm working on another one. And I've been thinking about the why.
There's just something about that mad man and his big blue box and the focus on the humanity of it all. The time-travel ship and the sonic screwdriver and all the other technology used as vehicles for character development and even the ship as a character in itself. The focus of the story being on the effects of time travel, yes, but far more about the ways in which time affects people than the ways in which people affect time...characters as their own ghosts...characters that can't die loving people who can do nothing but...it's about the plot but it's really not because it's just about the characters above all else. About the codependent relationship between two people who will haunt each other forever, no matter what happens to them. About how every companion asks what happens if they die before they're born and sometimes they do, because sometimes there's no other way this story ends. Time travel as a vehicle for the cycle of grief. As a vehicle for life. As a vehicle that is as much about this ship and this alien stealing you away from your life and you stealing their hearts in return. About grief and guilt and protectiveness and kindness and selfishness and constant renewal and running to things before they flare and fade to dust and going to the ends of the universe for each other and the people you meet along the way.
...what was I saying? Oh, right. I think Doctor Who fundamentally works for me because it's not about the technology of the time travel; it's about the avenues it opens up. About the fact that the time travel is paired up with the immortal/mortal dynamic, and aliens and all of the universe, about this immortal alien with ghosts in their eyes giving everything that ever has been and ever will be and ever could be to some mortal, fragile, breathtaking, stubborn, brave, reckless human and saying it's yours. You're going to watch it break. It's going to break you. And that's going to break me. But at the end of the day, it's beautiful, isn't it? Now take my hand, and let's run.
(And it's about the people who can do nothing but say yes.)
