One thing I kind of wish Cassie gave Kit is pointed ears!!!
“Rosemary was regarded as an extremely beautiful young woman. She had long blond hair, blue eyes, red lips, and—as a result of her faerie heritage—pointed ears.”
I know it would’ve made it so painfully obvious he was the first heir but I would’ve absolutely loved it!! He would’ve been the only one of Cassie’s protags with pointed ears!!
Not to mention how cute they are on Helen and Mark!😭😭😭
awww i love that!!! but honestly i think it was important to show that he was just a regular mundane, u know?,,, although i did see someone post a theory on here a while ago about how his ears (and maybe golden wings too if he has them) might be activated once he reaches his full powers!!! -> so there’s something to think about ;)

Give me a fic where Romione go to the past and raises baby Harry. Please. Like why do we not have any. My boy also deserves someone going to the past to save him, like really imagine baby Harry growing up with these two people who loves him unconditionally and will fight Dumbledore (fist fight even) for his safety. Imagine Ron teaching baby Harry to fly, while Hermione helps him with his homework. The first time Harry eats with them, he starts hyperventilating because he doesn't know if all that food is for him. Imagine, they both went to the past to save the world because their Harry is dead. Imagine, Ron nearly cried when Harry asked him if they will leave him because he is a freak. Imagine, a grown Hermione with her controlled ruthlessness dealing with the Dursleys. Imagine, how lovely the story would be — imagine how happy Harry would grow up to be.

I hate that I’m becoming antipitbull…THREEE of my family/friends in the past few months have been attacked by pitbulls and my cousin had half her face ripped off by one.
I get that it’s an owner issue but also I think your average person shouldn’t be able to own one. They can become dangerous so damn quick.
Also! I used to foster them and their prey drive is insane, even as puppies.
They were bred for aggression and they should be be owned by people who have licenses and proper training ONLY.

Oh that mental image of him breaking down and his Dragonite gently holding him until he's ready to hug back--crying in the club fr I wanna write this scene so much
Another personal hc that I have is definitely one that has a lot of self-projecting onto it. Mostly from the throw away line of 'my knees are creaking' and how the other E4s run to the end of the arena while he takes his sweet time. Couple that with lines on how he fell asleep and is always just resting at the club, a part of me likes to think that he's got some health issues. Maybe joint pain or something that causes chronic exhaustion.
Drayton isn't all too bad with his classes schoolwork wise but he fails primarily on his lack of attendance. Maybe it's partially from days where getting out of bed is hard, or when he can't pretend that everything's all fine and dandy. Sitting down often because standing or walking too long causes his knees to act up. Napping when he can cause he's just low-key tired all the time.
Perhaps he wouldn't have gotten the reputation of being lazy and a slacker if he just spoke up about it but no. He gives me the vibes of someone who dislikes pity, having a level of pride where he prefers to handle stuff on his own. He's got a system with his Pokemon where they help him on bad days. Shame that's how people saw him but it's not like he's making an effort to dispel it anyway. He'd hate it if those displeased looks turned to pity instead
But I'm also a sucker for days where he just can't summon up the energy to pretend around people, and while most just chalk it up to him being lazy again, maybe his friends can tell and help make things a little easier.
(Again, that's just my personal hc with a healthy dose of self projection. I just love putting him through situations haha)
Omf cndmcndm yeah yeah I get that I understand that that hit me right at home lmfaooo
No but, imagine if the reason behind that too is bc how grueling the training of Drayden was. Cause I also have this small hc that Iris really tried to keep up w Drayden's 10k push ups, sit ups, and squats during their training too (so she's a bit built thanks to that lmfao), but Drayton couldn't keep up w that, he tries but he couldn't, his body wasn't frail to say the least, but he wasn't built like Drayden or Iris, his body was a bit weaker compared to theirs, so when he tries, even when he did warm ups beforehand, it'd still leave his body quite sore
That plus the lil hc I have that he always waits for Iris to come back home most nights, so he stays up late most of the time too, making him tired the next day
But yeah, with his pride, he always refuse to get help, to the point he conditioned himself that there really is nothing wrong w him, but there is y'know, and sometimes he can't handle it anymore. There was once his body just needed rest that he didn't go to school at all, it resulted in his fam telling him if he's that lazy then he should just stop going to school and just help around the house, after all, he isn't trusted enough for the gym, wasn't motivated enough to do any kind of work, not even w school, so what's he gonna do
Anyways yeah, this I canon in my heart anon, just let the boy sleep in he deserves it

soooo i was thinking about avdol again and i feel like he has spent a lot of his life being needed for something. his entire role in stardust crusaders is functional: he provides the others with knowledge about tarot, stand powers and egypt, and the only reason he’s involved in the trip (and the narrative) is because he’s helping joseph (and i think to an extent his entire relationship with joseph is anchored in avdol's role as almost a mentor archetype)
so throwing in a bit of speculation here, and the fact that avdol is clearly driven by a strong sense of morality and duty to help those in need, i imagine that part of his self-worth is based on how useful he can be to people. it’s also visible in the way he presents himself - his entire ‘image’ as a responsible and wise individual could link to his desire to perform to the high standards he’s set himself, so that other people can trust him and rely on him.
but then polnareff comes along. unlike everyone else in avdol's life, he makes it clear from the very beginning that he doesn’t need avdol - quite the contrary. he rejects any advice or help that avdol offers (because he’s very self-reliant - or at least believes he is - and misinterprets avdol’s concern as being overbearing)
for avdol, who has spent most of his life in the role of mentor and basing his relationships around his usefulness to others, this is going to be not only frustrating but also presumably something of an existential crisis. initially it's going to be difficult to navigate a friendship (or. ummm you know. gay love !) with polnareff. because who is he if he’s not someone to be needed? how is he going to show polnareff that he cares about him if polnareff doesn’t want to rely on anyone?
the thing is - polnareff doesn’t need to need avdol. he wants him to be around simply because he enjoys his presence, and likes him as a person - not because he wants him to do something for him.
over the course of stardust crusaders, i think avdol begins to understand this. eventually he can let his guard down around polnareff, as he no longer has his image of functionality and usefulness to maintain. he's wanted rather than needed for once. because polnareff isn’t expecting anything of him: the only thing that polnareff wants from him is himself

You know. I think I like G'raha for some of the same reasons people i know dislike him but likewise in the agreement on these facts is also why I dislike fandom G'raha. 'cause like. He isn't the same character as the Exarch. the G'raha we know and travel with in EW is not the same man as the Exarch, even with his memories, and I don't mean bc he's younger. like.
okay. I was raised on way too much sci-fi, okay? I got deep in it with paradoxes and time travel and alternate and parallel realities before i was 10. I had a lose grasp on certain quantum mechanics concepts at 13. you give me a time loop and I will immediately understand two things:
every loop is an alternate universe converging off of the same single point as there can be (are, depending) near infinite universes off of every single point in space (<- this is why AUs are called AUs after all) and thus
even if it's the same face, even if it's the same name. even if it's the exact same past up until now, even if everything is perceptibly the same, and this is crucial, they are not the same person.
(I promise, I'm getting there)
This holds true, even in a closed paradox bc you now have a chicken and the egg scenario. Like we all kind of understand the grandfather paradox, we understand that if we kill our grandfather before the respective parent is conceived we couldn't have been born and thus couldn't kill him, ad nauseum. but even if you close it. Even if, say, you're your own grandfather, every loop something's going to change, even if it's not noticeable, even if it's not in your life. something is gonna change. A fundamental fact of how i understand the theory to work (granted I'm no scholar) is every time you go back in time you're not actually going back on your linear time, you're creating an alternate universe which will then be the universe you also fast forward through when you go forward in time.
That being said, the G'raha Tia that becomes the Exarch is not the G'raha Tia that we know, this is proven the fact that the G'raha Tia we know cannot go on to become the Exarch bc the Exarch did not live these post 5.3 experiences. And from there that means the Exarch also didn't come from the G'raha we knew in Crystal Tower. CT and EW G'rahas are the same. the Exarch is from a parallel reality G'raha that yanked us bc the us from his reality died before he woke up and that is how that reality will always play out and we just so happen to be from the reality he reaches into/splinters to save a future. not his future. the people of his future are far beyond his reach and have been since he traveled to the First.
And I think all of that is incredibly fascinating. Especially bc if the G'raha we know was the base of the Exarch you'd think, now that the Exarch's memories are part of him he'd act more like him. but it still doesn't sit right on his shoulders. bc it's not him. This is someone else. this is a role he can play, a mask he can slip into, a dance he knows. but it's not who he is. it's not where he's comfortable, like he was comfortable for 100 years. You see it in Thavnair, you see him steel himself for it. he sees what's happening and he knows what needs doing bc he's got the memories of managing a panicked peoples before in the middle of tragedy. But it's not him. The Exarch is a different man. And I wonder, desperately, how G'raha feels about that man.
